Assembly Human Services Committee Releases Gestational Carrier Bill, S886/A2648, from Committee

The bill was released from the Assembly Human Services Committee on March 19. It can be scheduled for a vote by the full Assembly at any time. For more information on the Hearing, click on this link and read,  then please take suggested action below.

The NJ Senate narrowly passed S866, a bill to legalize commercial gestational surrogacy bill by a vote of 21-13 on February 5th. This is the same bill Governor Christie vetoed in 2012. 1. Please email and call your 2 Assembly members and urge them to Vote No. You can send a pre-written message to your 2 Assembly members by using this link. 

You can also call 1-800-792-8630 to find out who your two assembly members are, or follow this link  to find your 2 Assembly members. (Once you obtain this information, you should keep their names, email addresses and phone numbers for future use).

2. Call and email the Governor. Thank him for vetoing the gestational carrier bill in the past and urge him to please veto S866/A2648 if it reaches his desk.
