A Plea for Mercy for Children in the Womb During the World Meeting of Families

 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
 September 2015

From Mike McMonagle, President
Philly Alive

The World Meetng of Families (WMF) declares, "Love is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive."  We seek to act on this mission in a city where at least 400  children are killed each week by abortion.

Our Appeal, Request and Commitment
  • We appeal for an abortion moratorium in Philadelphia during the World Meeting of Families
  • We request clergy and laity to join this appeal
  • We commit to support efforts to bring Mercy to children in the womb and their mothers, before, during and after the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia and throughout America.

Philly Alive is a coalition of pro-life organization at the local, regional and national levels that is promoting Acts of Mercy for children in the womb by a series of activities before, during and after the World Meeting of Families (WMF). The purposes of these activities are to focus the intense spotlight of the WMF on the vast killing of children in the womb in our area, region and nation; reduce this killing as much as possible and bring renewal to the pro-life movement.

  1. Please note a correction was made to the number of abortions. It should be 400 and not 3,000 as original posted.
