Will the Lives of the Unborn be Ignored this November?

Martin Fox, President
National Pro-Life Alliance

Pro-abortion supporters and apologists would like to eradicate the only pro-life language in either of the major party's platforms.

Since 1984, the Republican Party's platform has contained strong support for our Life at Conception Act and other pro-life measures.

Of course, your National Pro-Life Alliance does not endorse any political party. And I do not know your own personal affiliation.  But facing the threat of losing our recent momentum in Congress, I felt I must appeal to you immediately.

If, as is the talk, pro-abortion Republicans succeed in watering down the pro-life plank at next month's Republican National Convention in Cleveland, it will deal a major setback to the pro-life movement.

Pro-abortion groups like the so-called "Republican Majority for Choice" are already lobbying RNC Platform Committee members behind the scenes. They are hell-bent on steering the Republican Party to fully embrace Roe v. Wade and taxpayer-funded access to abortion. And they know the easiest place to quietly kill the GOP's pro-life plank is behind closed-door meetings with go-along-to-get-along party leaders away from the public eye.

That's why your NPLA is immediately launching a full-on grassroots blitz to save the RNC's pro-life plank.

The first step is delivering a tidal wave of petitions from pro-life Americans like you to Convention Chairman Paul Ryan, Platform Committee Chairman Sen. John Barrasso, and every member of the Platform Committee ahead of the Convention.

Your signed petition will deliver a clear message to any GOP leaders who want to abandon unborn babies for political expediency: "Hands off the pro-life plank!"

Click on the image below to sign your "Hands off the Pro-Life Plank" Petition to demand the RNC leaves the pro-life plank unaltered at next month's National Convention.

Your signed petition is critical towards proving that the pro-life movement is a real force to be reckoned with, and that the consequences for dumping the pro-life plank will be severe.

But the National Convention is set to begin on July 18th and the Platform Committee will be meeting as far as a week in advance. And pro-life Americans have a troubling question to ask themselves:

Will the 2016 Republican Platform Committee and Convention Chairman Paul Ryan hold the line and keep the RNC's strong pro-life plank in the face of pro-abortion media and establishment pressure?

With troubling questions like this facing pro-life Americans, leaving the future of the RNC's pro-life plank up in the air is a risk you and I can't afford to take.

So there's no time to waste!

If pro-abortion Republicans are successful in watering down or outright abolishing the RNC's pro-life plank, all of the progress you and I have made in fighting to add cosponsors and force votes for the Life at Conception Act could be in vain.

There's no doubt that pro-life Americans face an uphill battle to end the slaughter of Roe v. Wade. But now is the time to press forward, not give up!   In fact, the Chairman of the RNC's Platform Committee -- Wyoming Senator John Barrasso -- is a former cosponsor of the Life at Conception Act.

While this is an encouraging fact, it is also troubling that Sen. Barrasso has not yet signed on as a cosponsor for the current session. But I'm optimistic that -- with enough pressure from pro-life Americans like you -- Sen. Barrasso and the rest of the Platform Committee will respect our demands.

The National Pro-Life Alliance occupies a unique and important role in the pro-life movement. The focus of many other pro-life organizations is research, publications or counseling.

These are all important and worthy activities, but the National Pro-Life Alliance is singular in its focus on passing pro-life legislation that will protect the unborn from the moment of conception onward.
