New Jersey Action Alert! The Physician Assisted Suicide Bill is Back

Marie Tasy, Executive Director
New Jersey Right to Life

Senator Nicholas Scutari (D-22) reintroduced The Senate version of the Physician Assisted Suicide bill (S2474) on August 1, 2016. Senate President Steve Sweeney has stated his intention to sign on again as co-sponsor and lobby his fellow Senators to gain support for the bill.

Assemblyman John Burzichelli (D-3) previously reintroduced the Assembly version (A2451) in February of this year. The text of the new bill, A2451/S2474, is now available on-line, and appears to be identical to the previous version. According to a recent Star Ledger article, proponents are pushing for action on the bill by the fall of 2016.

Take Action now by clicking on the image below to send an email to your three state legislators asking them to oppose A2451/S2474 now!
