' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.' - Matthew 5:44
It's one thing to pray for your enemies; quite another to love them. But we are commanded by God to do so.
During this prayer campaign I've had friends tell me how hard it is to pray or love those for whom we pray each week. But if we consider that we all have only one enemy, satan; and that those who commit, promote or support this terrible crime of abortion are misguided souls who bought into the lies of the devil, then it is much easier to pray and even begin to love them.
Please continue to pray for the soul of Douglas Karpen, and all those for whom we've prayed these last 6 weeks, that the Holy Spirit reveals to them that their evil choices will lead to eternal damnation.
Come, Holy Spirit, come
Let thy bright beams arise,
Dispel the darkness from our minds,
And open all our eyes.
Revive our drooping faith,
Our doubts and fears remove,
And kindle in our breasts the flame
Of everlasting Love. Amen!
