Week 6: Voices Prayer Campaign for Douglas Karpen, March 20th thru March 26th

This week Douglas Karpen is the focus of our prayers. He's been called the "Texas Gosnell".  Karpen has engaged in the same practices as his Pennsylvania namesake.  Some of these include performing illegal late-term abortions and killing babies who survived abortion.

Karpen was investigated by a grand jury in 2013 for these and other violations such as lying about fetal age to charge more for abortions, fraudulent billing practices, failing to adhere to medical standards and sexual harassment. A grand jury failed to convict him. Due to a lack of hospital admitting privileges, he can no longer practice in Texas. In addition, he is being sued for malpractice.

It's difficult to pray for those who have made a career of killing unborn babies. There's no greater evil than one who has murdered thousands of innocent lives and wounded their mothers. But Jesus tells us to pray for and love our enemies. His grace and mercy are needed to obey His command. May those we pray for fall to their knees in deep repentance and sorrow at the foot of the Cross.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NIV

Suggested Daily Prayers for Douglas Karpen

Day 1  Pray that God delivers him from his greed that motivates him to perform abortions.

Day 2  Pray the Light of Christ dispels the darkness in his soul.

Day 3  Pray the Holy Spirit reveals his evil choices will lead to eternal damnation.

Day 4
Pray he will deeply regret harming women through abortion.

Day 5
Pray he is sorrowful for killing thousands of unborn babies.

Day 6
Pray that Jesus' Love will flood his soul and free him from satan's grip.

Day 7  Pray he is brought to his knees and surrenders his life to Jesus Christ, his only hope.

Finally: Pray that his conversion leads him to publicly renounce abortion, confess Christ as His Savior and declare the sacredness of human life.

"This is what we are all about…conversion. We will continue to reach out to these men and women in love. Hate doesn’t work. Condemnation doesn’t work. Judgment doesn’t work. The mercy of Christ is what WORKS. Please pray with us....You are making a difference." Abby Johnson, former PP clinic director and founder of 'And Then There Was None'
