The invisible wall of
Separation of Church and State is actually is a phrase Jefferson
coined in a letter to the Danbury Baptist. That wall has been overly exaggerated
recently, but it can also be a blurred line or an outwardly visible one. One
such truly visible is in the recent Obama signature bill we commonly call
ObamaCare.
Many of us recall the
Catholic objection towards the mandates upon the church which went against Church
doctrine and core beliefs of Catholics. President Obama calmed the concern by
rewriting of those provisions. Now the Catholic Church calls out that the
revisions are still not acceptable. Clearly ObamaCare stomps hard right in the
middle of the rights of the church and clearly upon their jurisdiction.
Our Founder’s would
have known better, I contend. It is known that Jefferson allowed church
services to be held in the buildings of which the government met. But,
contraceptive and abortion was not an openly concern nor an issue of the day of
our Founders. Yet, today in the arguments between pro choice and staunch
offenders of abortion rights versus the right to life advocates, many of the
pro choice cite our Founders dealt with abortions and there were means of
contraceptives. While that is true there is no evidence I ever found that our
Founders had any concern pertaining to either; contraceptive measures or
abortions. Even the Susan B. Anthony claims on both sides of the issue have
little merit in the statements made.
In the Faith based
opposition to abortion rights activist especially what we see going on in
Austin, Texas at this very moment, prayer is an important component of those
who see abortion as something against their faith and rights of the Christians
in our nation. Just why are prayers offered up?
Well there is Intercession and process going on in Austin and all across our nation. The Intercession is the prayers we offer up to our Creator. That prayer asks for God’s action in the spiritual world to attempt to settle the dispute. The process is the action playing out on the earthly plain of which both sides battle.
Who will win? Well
Texas Governor Rick Perry along with a majority of Texans feel sure the Right
to Life side will win this battle? Reason
being the votes was there but mob rule killed the bill upon the volume of which
the protestors in the galley screamed so loud that normal process could not
beat the clock ticking down the last minutes of session. As Governor Perry says,
it was “mob rule” that Texas will not stand to allow.
Today Christians pray
all across our state. Many are in Austin partaking in the normal process to
pass the measures once again…this time with plenty of time for filibuster of
which we do not condemn all the way from the people to the Governor.
We the overwhelming majority
in Texas wants this 20 weeks ban of abortions as modern science and healthcare proves
at 20 weeks the fetus can survive and has feelings of pain. It is inhumane and risks
the lives of the patient…both mother and unborn to allow abortion after these
20 weeks. These expectant mothers need proper care. They need physicians that
have all the means to respond in case of emergency.
The rights of their
bodies these women who oppose SB1 of this special second session is totally
irrelevant. Why? Because why would they want to risk their own health for the
right of abortion? It makes no sense. Let us pray for these disillusioned
individuals. God love them.
