See Which Health Plans Don't Cover Abortion on Demand‏

from Chuck Donovan
President, Charlotte Lozier Institute

This month is Open Enrollment once again for Obamacare. That means your Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) team is at it again seeking answers to the major question, “Which plans do not cover elective abortion?”

If you intend to sign up or renew your plan, please hold off for this week. CLI and the Family Research Council are currently poring through documents for each and every health plan on the Obamacare exchanges to assist you in your search. When CLI began examining Obamacare health plans in 2013, we discovered that information on abortion coverage was anything but public or clear.

Pro-life choices were few and far between (and even non-existent) in some states. No one seemed to be able to answer questions about the required payment into a separate abortion fund either. And total confusion on our simple question continued throughout 2014-2015.

Some good news is in order, however. If you live in Rhode Island, you will now have at least one new health plan per metal level on the exchange that excludes elective abortion from coverage.

Please keep checking our findings HERE through the next few days if you intend to sign up for a plan!

If you have any questions or helpful information on your experience with Obamacare, please don’t hesitate to reply to via e-mail  at info@lozierinstitute.org. Thank you for your continued support.

The goal of the Charlotte Lozier Institute is to promote deeper public understanding of the value of human life, motherhood, and fatherhood, and to identify policies and practices that will protect life and serve both women’s health and family well-being. Our profound conviction is that the insights available through the best science, sociology and psychology cannot help but demonstrate that each and every human is not only “fearfully and wonderfully made” but blessed to be born at this time in human history.
