Pro-Life Alert: Supreme Court at Risk?

Martin Fox, President
National Pro-Life Alliance

Your action is needed at once.

In 1988 pro-lifers were assured that Judge Anthony Kennedy would be pro-life and we should support him because he would be “easy to confirm.”

And again in 1990, we were told that Judge David Souter would be fine on pro-life . . . ignoring the fact that he had served on the board of a hospital that performed abortions.

Then both Souter and Kennedy voted with the abortion lobby in 1992’s Planned Parenthood v. Casey decision to uphold Roe v. Wade’s imposed policy of abortion-on-demand.

Now press reports are that either Judge Neil Gorsuch or Judge Thomas Hardiman, with no record on the life issue, may be nominated because they would be “less controversial” than those who have actually ruled and spoken out against abortion. While it is possible that Gorsuch or Hardiman might ultimately turn out to be fine, they could also turn out like Kennedy and Souter before them.

What the unborn really need on the Supreme Court is someone like the late Antonin Scalia, who was not afraid to stand up to attacks on his clear, open pro-life record. That’s why I hope you’ll copy and paste the sample message I’ve provided below onto the White House’s contact page.

Here’s how:

1. Read the sample message below:
For too long pro-lifers have been manipulated into supporting go-along-to-get-along judicial nominees. Time and time again these same judges have later voted to uphold abortion-on-demand.
And the fact is, two of your potential nominees, Neil Gorsuch and Thomas Hardiman, are exactly that type.
Therefore, we urge you to reject from consideration anyone who does not explicitly support overturning Roe v. Wade and upholding the Constitutional protection of the right to life.
2. Click and drag your mouse on the sample message to highlight it.

3. Then, right-click the highlighted message above and select ‘copy.’

4. Click here to go to the White House’s contact page and enter in your information.

5. In the large box at the bottom of that page, right-click and select ‘paste’ to paste in the sample message.

6. Once your message is copied and pasted in to the large text box, hit the ‘send’ button at the bottom of the White House contact page to make sure it goes through.

Better still, you can also call the White House comments line at (202) 456-1111 to leave a message and use the above sample message as a guide for what to say.

The National Pro-Life Alliance occupies a unique and important role in the pro-life movement. The focus of many other pro-life organizations is research, publications or counseling. These are all important and worthy activities, but the National Pro-Life Alliance is singular in its focus on passing pro-life legislation that will protect the unborn from the moment of conception onward. For more information on the National Pro-Life Alliance or to make a donation, please use this link.
