Contact Your Pennsylvania State Senator Today to Oppose Senate Bill 361

Maria V. Gallagher, Legislative Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

Unfortunately, once again, a bill has been introduced in the Pennsylvania state Senate which would take away your right to vote for appellate judges in Pennsylvania.

Please call and email your state Senator with this urgent message: I do not want my right to vote for judges to be taken away. Please oppose Senate Bill 361!

If you do not know who your state Senator is, or you need contact information, please use this link.

Please note: This is a state issue, not a federal one, so you do not need to contact U.S. Senators Bob Casey and Pat Toomey.

Background:
Senate Bill 361 is sponsored by pro-abortion state Senator Anthony Williams (D-Delaware and Philadelphia Counties). It would take away the people’s right to vote for appellate judges and, instead, give the power to pro-abortion Governor Tom Wolf to appoint Justices to the PA Supreme Court and judges to the PA Superior Court and Commonwealth Court. The Governor would nominate judges based on a list of names supplied by a small elite group unaccountable to voters. The process would not eliminate politics from the system of electing judges—it would just put politics behind closed doors, away from public scrutiny.

Thank you for calling and emailing your state Senator and letting him or her know you do not want your right to vote for judges to be taken away!
