Our Lady of Mount Carmel Respect Life Committee
The Respect Life Committees of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Guadalupe parishes will soon hold their 8th Annual Rummage and Treasure Sale.
It's time to start cleaning out your closets and getting donations ready for the August Respect Life Rummage Sale Fundraiser which is held in Our Lady of Mount Carmel School Gym, located on Ashland Street in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. (map)
It's only two short months away! We especially need nice clothing to sell as clothes are a big profit maker! We usually fall short on the boys table so if you have unneeded boys clothes, we will take them! Of course the usual household items are needed.
Your donations also help our Crisis Pregnancy Centers. This year, we will have new mom's shopping for themselves and their babies!
Our unsold coats and blankets go to the homeless, Our Lady of Mount Carmel's Father Onunwa ships clothing from the sale to Nigeria, and our unsold household goes to help another church with their fundraiser!
Sister Veronica of the Little Sisters of the Poor is looking for baskets for their raffle next fall. She needs large baskets especially, so if you have them, she will take them! She needs a few medium size too. She said they made 70 raffle baskets last year!
Whatever is left, goes to Good Stuff Thrift and their proceeds help children's charities, including counseling for women in crisis pregnancy! We don't waste anything and we help as many as we can. Your efforts are far reaching!
Drop off for donations is Saturday, August 5 from 8 AM to 12noon. Please do not leave anything in the parking lot after hours.
