Filming of the new movie “Roe v. Wade” is under way this summer.

The movie, which will tell the true story of the lies and manipulations used to push legalized abortion in America, is a project of actor/producer Nick Loeb and Cathy Allyn.

Loeb told the Hollywood Reporter they began shooting June 15 in and around New Orleans, including at Tulane University, as well as in Washington, D.C.

“… no one has really told the whole truth about Roe v. Wade in a film,” Loeb said. “When I delved into this, I discovered conspiracy theories, fake news, made-up statistics and a whole lot of people involved who switched their positions from pro-choice to pro-life, including Norma [McCorvey, the “Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade].”

The film stars Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, Robert Davi and Stacey Dash, as well as Greer Grammer, the daughter of pro-life actor Kelsey Grammer. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., also is an executive producer and has a cameo in the film.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the pro-abortion political bent in Hollywood, the production team has faced more than its share of hostility, and some people have walked off the set.

According to the report:

As Nick Loeb walked to his car with a production assistant during a day of shooting his upcoming feature film, Roe v. Wade, outside Tulane University last week, a woman wearing a headset approached and asked: “Are you the director?”

“When I told her I was, she told me to go f— myself,” Loeb recalls. “Then she threw her headset on the ground and walked off. I found out later she was our electrician.”

Anecdotes such as this have become fairly common since Loeb and his production partner, Cathy Allyn, began shooting their pro-life feature film June 15 in and around New Orleans.

But the actor told LifeNews things are moving forward.
“The actors and crew have been top notch with tremendous experience. I am so proud of how hard they are all working despite all the obstacles,” Loeb told LifeNews.

Earlier this year, Loeb said Facebook also censored their efforts to spread the word about the film.

“Hollywood only wants you to hear their version of the story – in fact, there are 3 movies currently in development that take a pro-abortion stance,” the film producers said. “But you shouldn’t be surprised. Hollywood has always had an agenda to influence Americans to accept abortion, even if they have to re-write history to do it.”

Loeb told the news outlet that they are negotiating a distribution deal, and they hope to release the film in January.

The film will follow key advocates in the abortion fight in the 1970s, including former abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson and Betty Friedan on the pro-abortion side and Dr. Mildred Jefferson, the first African American woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School, on the pro-life side.

“Bernard and Betty, along with the team at Planned Parenthood, search the country to find a pregnant girl they can use to sue the government for her right to have an abortion,” according to a description on the film website.

They find the “perfect pawn” in Norma McCorvey, the Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade. McCorvey later became pro-life and fought to overturn the infamous ruling that bears her name. She and others attested to her being mistreated and used by abortion activists to achieve their deadly agenda.

The film will examine the lies and manipulative tactics of abortion activists, people like McCorvey and Nathanson who later had a change of heart, and dedicated pro-life advocates like Jefferson who fought valiantly to defend the right to life for babies in the womb.

The film also will address the racism intertwined in the abortion industry through Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger and others, and Jefferson’s fight for unborn babies as well as people of color.
