Pro-Life Waco Outreach for the Coming Weeks

from John Pisciotta, Director
Pro-Life Waco

1. Second Sunday Ecumenical Pro-Life Gathering is Nov. 11

We are going to have a great Second Sunday gathering is just a few days. Why? The “Dynamic Deborah” will be our speaker. Deborah McGregor of CareNet Central Texas will give us the scoop on the CareNet game plan for 2019 up to the eventual closing of Planned Parenthood in Waco. Pro-Life Waco’s Second Sunday luncheon/meeting is on November 11 at the parish hall of St. Mary’s Church in Waco. An Italian luncheon will be served throughout the noon hour—adults $3. Free for children and first-time attendees. For the meeting from 1-2 p.m., Deborah McGregor will speak on “The New Year and CareNet’s New Outreach to Mom and Babies.” This will include plans for CareNet’s real medical clinic directly across Sanger Avenue from the Planned Parenthood abortion facility.

2. I will be guest on an internet video program this evening at 8 a.m.

The weekly series is No Soul Left Behind. This evening, November 7 at 8 p.m. Central. The program has been created by Laura Brockway and Jennifer Sinclair. We will be talking about the election results, the Hometown Pro-Life Action Facebook group and, also, our Pro-Life Waco outreach. I hope you will “tune in.” The easiest way is to go to https://fiatministrynetwork.tv and click on the Watch Live tab at the top of the page.

3. Abby Johnson will headline Women’s Conference Nov 10 in Austin

Abby Johnson, former abortion clinic manager, is delivering a free regional pro-life women’s conference in Austin on Nov 10. I encourage you to be a part of this, so we can be more effective in Waco. We must continue to develop our skills and insight to shine our out lights to help make the darkness of abortion vanish. The national conferences of the last two years have been very successful. See the details below:
Women, children and families deserve better than abortion. Join us for a day of inspiring talks, fun activities and more ways to get plugged in to our community! You can also learn more about the National Pro-life Women's Conference next June in New Orleans!
Saturday November 10th, 9am-3pm (Doors open at 8:30 for check-in)
Lunch will be provided (Registration Required). Refrigeration available for those who would like to bring their own sack lunch.

GUEST SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

  • Abby Johnson, And Then There Were None
  • Amanda Willie, First Baptist Florence
  • Heather Gardner, Central Texas Coalition for Life
  • Lori DeVillez, Austin Pregnancy Resource Center
  • Debbie Juhlke, Embrace
  • Jennifer Almon, Texas Catholic Conference

4. Passenger Van for the January 26 Rally for Life in Austin.

Pro-Life Waco will provide a van-pool for the Rally for Life in Austin. The date is Saturday, January 26. This is so much enjoyable to go down in a group, march up Congress Avenue to the capital, and then hear rousing presentations. And we finish the day trip with an exquisite meal at Denny's on our way back. Unfortunately, Pro-Life Waco has not secured the 12 to 20 passenger van that would serve so well for this event. Do you have a solution to this problem? Do you have a passenger van? Maybe a friend? Possibly your church would lend a van for the day. A van with an aisle up the middle is great. We will be leaving in the morning sometime around 9 AM from St. Mary's parking lot and returning about 8 PM. Our out-of-town excursions are a lot of fun and build community among life-defenders.

5. Almost unbelievable: Patriotic Life Chain outreach last Sunday.

So colorful! So exuberant! So much impactful! Close to 40 participated. Thanks to Hank Staniszewski and his staff from the Groesbeck area for driving down to Waco to make this happen. Pastor and Mrs. Kolb of St. Mark Lutheran Church were there. Oh yes, they brought along their 8 beautiful children. Enjoy the photos below, including the official pro-life Kolb family portrait. I feel the Holy Spirt moving strong in Gospel of Life outreach in Waco.
