1. Car pool to Monday, August 4 pro-life prayer vigil in Austin
The abortion industry has filed a new lawsuit challenging the provisions of omnibus pro-life law (HB 2). The lawsuit is being tried in federal court on Monday, August 4th at 9:00 AM, and Waco and the world need to participate in the Pro-life Prayer Vigil at the same time, outside the courthouse!  The vigil will be followed by a state-wide pro-life training at the Capitol.  Wear blue!
We will car pool to Austin Monday morning, departing at7 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church parking lot. Let me know if you will go and whether you will be a driver or rider.
August 4 Events:

  • Public parking garage (Central Parking 300 W 6th St);
  • Public parking garage (Ampco System Parking 221 W 6th St);
Tips:  Wear blue and bring water.
  • As I state above we will depart St. Mary’s at 7 a.m. and return shortly after 3 p.m.
Oh yes, endangered babies living in their mothers’ wombs are counting on us.

2. Life Chain, 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 3
Let’s get out for a great Life Chain this Sunday, August 3. The time for Life Chain is 2-3 PM. Location is the intersection of Valley Mills Drive and Waco Drive. Just look for the pro-life billboard truck and get your sign. I’ll have water to help keep us all cool. Our messages are extra-powerful when delivered in less than perfect weather. A little Texas heat has NEVER stopped Waco Life Chainers. See you there.

3. Second Sunday with Ruby McCray is August 10.
Next, I’m so excited about our Second Sunday Pro-Life Gathering on August 10. Our speaker will be our dear soldier for life Ruby McCray, Evangelist and founder of Cities of Refuge Ministries.  Ruby also writes a monthly essay for Anchor News.  You have heard Ruby McCray sing. You will miss out on something special if you done hear her message on August 10. The title of her presentation will be “Children are Gifts from God.” Buffet meal including Italian sausage during the noon hour. Just $3 for adults and children free. Meeting and Ruby’s dynamic presentation from 1-2 p.m.

4. New Facebook group, Hometown Pro-Life Action
Earlier this month, I launched a new Facebook group named Hometown Pro-Life Action. The purpose is implied in the name. It is my hope that posts to this group will help make hometown activism more muscular throughout Texas, USA, and the world. I ask you to become a member of the group as soon as possible by going to:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/hometownprolifeaction
Once you are a member, you can post and also add your friends as members. Your participation is urgently needed to get this Facebook group accelerated into orbit. Possibly, you could send a message to you friends about this group. A strong and growing pro-life movement needs healthy grass roots.

5. Reconstruction of “Old Wooden Cross” in the sight of PP Waco
As you may know, just a few weeks, our Old Wooden Cross near Planned Parenthood Waco was vandalized and broken. See below, I’m praying that someone can step forward to restore the cross with a weathered wood cross beam. If you are that person, please let me know. I believe this contributes to saving lives and souls of Planned Parenthood’s customers, employees, providers of services and neighbors.
