New Trump HHS Secretary Tom Price: Defund Planned Parenthood, Selling Aborted Babies is “Barbaric”

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for HHS secretary, pro-life Congressman Tom Price, strongly supports defunding the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

America’s leading abortion company was exposed selling the body parts of aborted babies for profit, Congressman Price called the practice “barbaric” and said the abortion business ought to be defended.

Price, who is a physician, voted for Congressional legislation to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion company that pro-abortion President Barack Obama eventually vetoed. In a statement in association with that vote, price said the following:

“Anyone who has not viewed the disturbing videos recently released should do so. It is only with that knowledge that one can know, in horrific detail, the barbaric practices being committed with federal taxpayer dollars. These actions cross a moral line beyond comprehension.
The revealing picture is of a supported routine for abortion practices that result in the harvesting and sale of baby parts, some of which are secured in barbaric process. This, if seen, will shake anyone’s conscience. Today, I voted to end taxpayer funding for the organization responsible and add criminal penalties in the event of born alive abortions.
“This effort is not about party ideology; it is about common, human decency and who we are as a people. I applaud the House for the steps taken today and encourage Congress to take further action in the days to come.”

Price has a long pro-life voting record as a member of Congress and has voted pro life 100% of the time according to the National Right to Life Committee.

Niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: ‘We need to make abortions unthinkable’

By Danny David
Live Action News

On Monday, pro-life activist and niece of Martin Luther King Jr., Alveda King, spoke before a large crowd at Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center in Fort Collins, Colorado. The event was hosted by Students for Life.
During the presentation, King revealed that before she was born, her own parents were told to abort her. The Rocky Mountain Collegian reports:

Alveda King said that Planned Parenthood told her parents to consider an abortion following her conception. Her father disagreed, and MLK Sr. claimed that he had seen the unborn child in a dream years prior, and described King to her parents. “That’s my granddaughter!” King Sr. had said, according to Alveda King.
King also claimed that, at the time, Planned Parenthood was actively pushing “population control” – including sterilization – on the Black community. In the 1960s, while King was marching for civil rights, Planned Parenthood was trying to restrain the Black population (despite claiming to help), says King.

Despite her history as a strong voice for the oppressed, including preborn lives, King was not always pro-life. At one point, King says she was “radical pro-choice,” and had two abortions herself, which she claims damaged her body. Eventually, she became pro-life, and she believes her uncle, Martin Luther King Jr., would join her in standing for the value of life.

“Abortion is not health care,” King said Monday. “A woman has a right to her body, but that is not her body. What about the baby?”

This State Now Requires Abortion Clinics to Bury Aborted Babies Instead of Selling Their Parts

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

New Texas rules requiring a dignified burial of aborted babies’ bodies will go into effect on Dec. 19, state health officials said this week.

The new rules, introduced in July by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, require that abortion facilities, hospitals and other medical centers either cremate or bury the remains of aborted and miscarried babies. State officials said the rules do not apply to miscarriages or abortions that take place at home.

The Washington Post reports the health commission finalized the rules on Monday. State health officials previously said the rules will bring about “enhanced protection of the health and safety of the public.”

The new rules are part of pro-life Gov. Greg Abbott’s L.I.F.E. Initiative, a four-point plan to increase life-affirming support, eliminate all taxpayer funding to abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and curb abortions in Texas.

Aborted babies’ bodies should not be “treated like medical waste and disposed of in landfills,” Abbott said previously. “… it is imperative to establish higher standards that reflect our respect for the sanctity of life.”

During a commission hearing in August, supporters said the rules are necessary because abortion facilities treat unborn babies’ bodies like garbage and sometimes dump them down public sewer drains, Fox 7 reported

State Rep. Mark Keough mentioned a gruesome case in 2005 when a woman who worked near a Houston abortion facility saw tiny aborted babies’ limbs and other body parts in a parking lot when a sewer line broke.

Abortion activists oppose the rules, claiming that they will create additional costs and burdens for abortion facilities. There also are rumblings that they may file a lawsuit.

"Patty's Page TV Show" is Looking for Sponsors

from Patty Hunter, TV Producer/Hostess
of Patty's Page TV Show
Access Fort Wayne TV Station

Hello, my name is Patty Hunter, TV Producer/Hostess of my local cable TV Show, "Patty's Page TV Show."
My husband, Bob and I are Christians and I have been producing and hosting my TV show, for over 6-1/2 years... going on seven years now.

Over the years, I have filmed many events to raise awareness of child abuse, and also with pro-life organizations here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have interviewed top pro-life leaders, such as Dr. Alveda King and Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, and many top people with 40 Days for Life.

While most of my present interviews have been with pro-life/pro-family leaders, past interviews have included singers, actors, and business people who contributed to our community and/or society.

I've also filmed Fort Wayne's March For Life, and of course, leaders of the Lutheran churches, to name a few.  So far, I have aired over 340 episodes and still counting. My shows are aired out of Access Fort Wayne TV Station in the main Allen County Public Library downtown.

I am looking for sponsors to help me continue taping my episodes of Patty's Page. Below, you will find some of my best shows. After each show is aired, I put each episode on YouTube, with permission from my guests, for the world to see.

It is costly to do as most of my interviews are from Skype and my husband, who is my cameraman and editor, takes time to film these important shows.

If you are willing to help me and my TV show by sponsoring us, or by making a donation, send me an e-mail to pattyhunter1952@gmail.com.  Sponsors name, company and website information will be added to the credits on my shows.

Below, Patty interviews Stasia Roth, executive director of A Mother's Hope, which will be a home for mothers facing an unplanned pregnancy. Visit the website at www.amothershopefw.org

In the video below, Patty interviews Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. They discuss the upcoming presidential election and the pro-life battle to save the lives of unborn babies. Recorded October 25, 2016 for Access Fort Wayne.

Patty talks via Skype with Father Frank Pavone, the head of Priests For Life in the video below. They discuss various pro-life issues, including the International Week of Prayer and Fasting taking place this week. Taped October 3, 2016 for Access Fort Wayne.

National Night of Prayer for Life

Uniting the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with the Feast of St. Juan Diego

from Father Frank Pavone, National Director
Priests for Life

Each year, the National Night of Prayer for Life takes place from 9 pm Dec. 8th to 1 am Dec. 9th.

It was on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (then celebrated on December 9th) that Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas and the unborn, first appeared to St. Juan Diego. The National Night of Prayer for Life bridges these two feasts to honor Our Blessed Mother and to pray for the sanctity of all human life.

We ask each parish to join in praying on this holy occasion.

The National Night of Prayer for Life is a pro-life prayer service consisting of exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, 20 decades of the Rosary, prayer to St. Michael, silent prayer and hymns.

For more information and to download prayers, instructions and flyers go to NationalNightOfPrayerForLife.org or email Victoria at Victoria@PriestsForLife.org.

See ProLifePrayers.com for more prayers to use at this event and order prayer resources at ProLifeProducts.org.

Contact your local priests, religious, Right to Life Organizations, Knights of Columbus, and other parish/fraternal organizations and inform your friends and family across the nation.

As a Private Association of the Faithful, recognized and approved under the Canon Law of the Catholic Church, and working in harmony with the goals of the Bishops' Pro-Life Committee and the local diocesan respect life offices, Priests for Life seeks to:
  1. unite, encourage, and provide ongoing training to priests and deacons who give a special emphasis to the "life issues", especially abortion and euthanasia, in their ministries;
  2. instill a sense of urgency in all clergy to teach about these issues and to mobilize their people to help stop abortion and euthanasia;
  3. assist clergy and laity to work together productively for the cause of life;
  4. provide ongoing training and motivation to the entire pro-life movement.
All pro-life groups, whether Catholic or Protestant, recognize the benefit of the leadership of the clergy in the pro-life movement and often yearn for more of it.

Physician-assisted Suicide About to Become Law

from Gregory Mertz
CitizenGO team

U.S. Congress has 30 days to act or the “Death with Dignity Act” will become law.

On November 15th, the D.C. Council voted in favor of physician-assisted suicide when they adopted the controversial B-21-38, the “Death with Dignity Act.” By a margin of 11 votes 'for' to 2 votes 'against.' This shocking vote came as DC residents lined up to oppose this deadly measure. Among the opposition stood African American residents in the city, disability rights advocates, medical professionals, and others.

However, this fight is not over, because Congress also must approve the measure before it becomes law.

As you know, physician-assisted suicide is unnecessary, unethical, and unsafe. In short, allowing physicians to take part in killing their patients fundamentally changes the role of the doctor. A doctor must preserve life, not end it.

Please join us in urging the U.S. Congress to wholeheartedly oppose physician-assisted suicide in our nation’s capital by voting against making the unnecessary “Death with Dignity Act” law.

With Congress approval, the bill would legalize physician-assisted suicide, allowing anyone 18 years old or older and with a prognosis of six months or fewer to live to request lethal drugs from their doctor to commit suicide.

Physician-assisted suicide would not be limited to D.C. residents and would make our nation’s capital, once known for its history and beauty, a tourist site for those wishing to die.

We cannot allow this culture of death to come to our nation’s capital. Let’s tell U.S. Congress that they must stand up and say no to physician assisted suicide.

In states where physician-assisted suicide is legal, a growing number of sick people are being denied medical treatment coverage and offered suicide instead.

Leona Redmond, a D.C. resident and community activist, claims “[B-21-38] is really aimed at old black people. Redmond fears, through “[B-21-38] politicians will continue to make cost cuts a higher priority than healthcare for the poor and elderly.”

D.C. physicians lined up to oppose B-21-38. The earliest versions of the Hippocratic oath state, “The regimen I adopt shall be for the benefit of my patients … and not for their hurt or for any wrong. I will give no deadly drug to any, though it be asked of me, nor will I counsel such.” And yet, under B-21-38, doctors will begin killing their patients.

This bill is wrongly titled, “death with dignity.” There is nothing dignified or compassionate about a doctor killing a patient. It is simply wrong.

If U.S. Congress votes to support physician-assisted suicide in the nation’s capital, how long will it be before they support it in their home district.

Please do not be mistaken. Physician-assisted suicide, if accepted by Congress for D.C., will not be rare. It will become commonplace and less than voluntary. In fact, in Canada and Oregon, where physician-assisted suicide is legal; sick patients are already being pressured to end their lives, rather than receive necessary care.

This summer, three elderly members of a church in the rural province of Québec found out they had cancer. Immediately after delivering the cancer diagnosis, the first question their doctors asked them was, “Do you wish to be euthanized.”

Our elderly and our sick deserve to be loved, cherished and respected. Assisted suicide disposes of the weak in our society. Do we really want to allow that to happen in our nation’s capital?

Let’s band together. Let’s make our voice heard to U.S. Congress and join the line of pro-life leaders, D.C. community advocates, doctors, and others who object to physician-assisted suicide in our nation’s capital.

Arson Destroys Pro-Life Pregnancy Center, FBI Investigating as Possible Hate Crime

Catholic News

The FBI is investigating whether a hate crime occurred when a suspected arsonist set fire to a pro-life pregnancy center on Wednesday morning in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher told KRQE News that they are asking the public for help to identify the person who set several fires inside Project Defending Life’s Albuquerque office. He said someone set the fires deliberately, KOB 4 reports.

“Hate crime could be on the table, depending on what we find,” Fisher said.
The FBI released a video and images of a white car and its driver who parked near the office on Wednesday around the time when the fires were started.

However, the driver later identified herself as a pro-life volunteer who went to the chapel to pray and then left before the incident occurred, according to KOB 4. The volunteer said she was there around 11 p.m., and authorities estimate that someone started the fires around 12:32 a.m.

The Catholic-based pro-life organization is closed, and leaders said they are not sure when it will reopen. The building on San Mateo Boulevard NE sustained extensive damage from the fires. It is located across the street from a Planned Parenthood abortion facility. Another late-term abortion facility is about four miles away.

Dominique Davis, director of client services for Project Defending Life, told LifeNews that they do not know the full extent of the damage yet. She said they plan to meet with their insurance agent next week, but she estimated that the fire caused roughly several hundred thousand dollars worth of damage.

“While this intentional evil act was meant to scare us and inhibit us from doing our work, those who committed this crime can be assured it has not,” Davis said. “While our building may be finished, we are not, and we will find another place to set up.

That’s when a close friend invited Cox to join her for her home birth. Saying yes to this invitation would change Cox’s life forever.

“I went through the classes with her and at the birth was amazed by the power of the body and the midwife’s role,” Cox told Kaiser Permanente. “So I decided to go back to school and start all over again.”

Starting over again wasn’t easy. Cox had to earn another master’s degree. She was already raising one child when she went back to school, and she gave birth to her second in the middle of earning that second graduate degree. Cox returned to classes just 10 days after giving birth.

Cox has seen a lot of changes in labor and delivery during her career as a midwife. From natural birth to epidurals, and the ever-growing number of female OB/GYNs, Cox has been there, counting each of the births she has been a part of.

Smiling Down Syndrome Kids Banned from French TV in Case they Offend Post-Abortive Women

By Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D.
Breitbart

France’s Conseil d’État (State Council) has confirmed its ban of the award-winning “Dear Future Mom” video from French television, declaring that the “inappropriate” images of happy Down syndrome children might bother women who had chosen to abort their babies.

The Council stated that the video in question could not be shown since it was “likely to trouble the conscience of women who had made different personal life choices in compliance with the law.”

According to studies, in France more than 80 per cent of all mothers pregnant with babies diagnosed with Down syndrome end up aborting their children.

“The law stipulates that only advertising messages or ‘messages of general interest’ be shown during commercial breaks. The Council determined that this film does not constitute a ‘message of general interest’,” the governing body said in a statement on its website.

Rather, it is “likely to disturb women who have had recourse to a medical termination of pregnancy and thus is inappropriate for airing during commercial breaks,” the statement added.

The Jérôme Lejeune Foundation, a pioneer in scientific research on Down syndrome and one of the financiers of the production, had filed a petition requesting that the ban be lifted.

In 1959, Professor Jérôme Lejeune, pediatrician and geneticist, discovered the cause of Down syndrome (trisomy 21) and devoted his life to the pro-life cause and to fighting for the rights of people with Down syndrome.

Coach Bag Bingo to Fund Sidewalk Servants to be Held in Abington, Pa. on Dec 4th

from Dr. Monique Ruberu
40 Days for Life Coordinator for Center City Philly

Thank you all so much for your prayers and presence during the 40 days vigil!

It always breaks my heart when I am present there between the vigils. When we leave on Wednesday and know that nobody will be present for the rest of the week... To love, to guide and to stand up for the babies and moms in prayer.

In other towns such as St Louis and Dallas they have achieved 100% coverage between the vigils. They do this by reimbursing the sidewalk counselors. It has been so effective that in Dallas they even managed to break up a Human Trafficking Ring!!!

I so want to see Philadelphia with the same sort of coverage!

On Sunday Dec 4th from 2-5 pm, I am hosting a coach bag bingo and raffle fundraiser at Our Lady Help Of Christians Church parish hall located at 1500 Marian Road in Abington, PA (see map here)  to reimburse sidewalk counselors. Everyone is welcome... Women, men, and kids.  Tickets are $25 each for a set of 11 rounds of bingo; $30 at the door.

I really, really, REALLY, need your help with this... I need to sell tickets, I'd appreciate any help with set up and clean up after the event...if you know anyone that can donate snacks for sale or raffle baskets that would be awesome too!!!

Please reach out to those you know, if they cannot attend personally please ask if they will sponsor a ticket for a student or someone who can't afford to attend..

God bless!

Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling at Three Planned Parenthood Facilities in SE Pa.

Every year pro-lifers across the nation bring the joy and hope of Christmas to the darkness of abortion facilities with a Christmas Caroling day.

They gather around a large empty Christmas crèche -- symbolizing both the hopeful anticipation of a child's birth and the emptiness left behind by abortion – and sing carols about the Christ child. Babies have been SAVED from abortion when their mothers heard these carols and were moved by the thought of how Mary said "YES" to be the mother of Jesus.

In Northeast Philadelphia, Center City Philadelphia, and Bucks County, Pennsylvania we are holding three 'Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling Days' which are listed below.  We hope everyone from these areas will come and join us for these annual events.

On Friday, December 16, 2016, we will be at the Warminster Planned Parenthood from 9:30 - 10:30 am. (Use this map for directions).

On Saturday, December 17, 2016 we will be at the Comly Road Planned Parenthood in Northeast Philadelphia from 9:30 - 10:30 am.  (Use this map for directions.)

On Saturday December 17th, pro-lifers will gather outside of 777 Appletree Street for Christmas caroling which will coincide with the weekly vigil. The caroling will start at 745AM. Sheets will be provided.

Please dress warm and invite your family and friends. All are welcome!

The Christmas Caroling Day has become an important annual event for pro-life groups across the country.  In the past it was known at the Empty Manger Christmas Caroling Day; however, it was changed this year to the Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling Day.  The new name is clearer and, hopefully, will help bring more people out to give witness, sing and pray.

The empty manger is a dual symbol. Like the empty manger lovingly placed in every Christmas crèche in anticipation of celebrating the Nativity of Jesus Christ, it represents the joy that ought to accompany the birth of every child.

Modelling Down Syndrome

How advertisers are responding to a cause

by Carolyn Moynihan
MercatorNet

In an era that celebrates diversity, you never know who is going to make a very public appearance next. Enter little children with Down syndrome, modelling toys and clothes for popular US brands. Lili, a 2-year-old from Budapest, appears in a new commercial for a Fisher-Price toy, and 15-month-old Asher will soon be modelling for the OshKosh children’s clothing line.

These two little stars, who feature in an article on the New York Times’ Well blog this week, signal a certain momentum in a trend that has seen people with Down syndrome appearing on at least one TV show and more recently on New York catwalks and in ads for Target, McDonald’s and other brands.

In terms of visibility and recognition of people with Down syndrome, this is a welcome development. The assumption on the part of advertisers that their market will react favourably to models with the features associated with the condition (especially, cute little kids) is encouraging at a time when mothers carrying babies diagnosed with Down syndrome find themselves under pressure from doctors to terminate – and in the US around 30 percent do.

Out to Destroy the Pro-Life Movement

Austin Ruse
Crisis Magazine

When the Supreme Court imposed abortion on the country in 1973, the New York Times announced that the issue was at long-last decided, settled, put away for good.

As a kind of exclamation point or perhaps stake through the heart, no less than the Southern Baptist Convention praised the Roe v. Wade decision as good for the country.

To all but a small remnant of mostly Catholics, to hold the pro-life position was a shameful thing. Not long after Roe, no more than 35 percent of Americans would even self-identify as pro-life.

Yet here we are in 2016 and one could say that this issue that was supposed to be settled long ago is the least settled issue in our politics. It is certainly close to being settled in Europe where the pro-life cause gets next to no traction politically. Ask the typical Brit, or Frenchman, or German and she will say, “No, we don’t really have a pro-life movement” even though they do. Yet, here in the states our pro-life movement is bristling with growth and strength and results.

Pro-Life Woman Praying on Sidewalk Says Abortion Clinic Got Her Arrested by Claiming She Had a Bomb

By Erin Parfet
Life News

A pro-life protester who was arrested on charges of threatening to bomb the Northland Family Planning Center, an abortion facility near Detroit, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday alleging that the abortion facility called the police with a fake threat against her, reports CourthouseNews.com.

The woman, U.S. Navy veteran Kimberly Thames, “prayed on the public sidewalks surrounding” the Northland facility along with a Catholic nun on Aug. 27, 2016 when she was arrested, according to the report.

A security guard involved in the incident told police officers that Thames said, “I prophesy bombs are going to fall, I prophesy bombs are going to fall,” according to the report.

According to the report, the police ignored the nun who was speaking up for the protestor, and one of the police officers became angry and said, “You [the nun] have no idea what you are talking about.”

Another officer reportedly said, “Anyone who has anything to do with the whole thing [referring to the pro-life movement] is a fanatic.” CourthouseNews.com reports the police arrested the protestor on the basis of “making terrorist threats.”

Here’s more from the report:

But Thames claims that was a “complete fabrication” and she didn’t know that the Northland employee called 911 to report a bomb threat.  Though the officers found nothing when they searched Thames’ car, they “didn’t bother to conduct an investigation,” her complaint states.

The nun Thames was praying with “told the officers that plaintiff never made any threats and that [abortion facility security guard John] Doe was lying,” Thames says. …

The seven-count complaint asserts claims of conspiracy, false arrest, defamation and violations of the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments. Thames seeks declaratory and injunctive relief; nominal, compensatory, exemplary and punitive damages; attorney fees and costs; and a jury trial.

Christian leaders see influence growing under Trump

'If he fulfills the promises he’s made, he could be the most pro-life president since Reagan,' one social conservative said of Trump

By Katie Glueck
Politico

Social conservatives got Donald Trump into the White House. Now, they expect him to deliver.

In conversations on Capitol Hill, donor meetings in Texas and behind closed doors at the Ritz-Carlton in McLean, Virginia, socially conservative leaders are cheering Trump’s election and already moving to hold him accountable to the myriad campaign promises he made to Christian voters.

“Donald Trump is not the candidate pro-lifers would have chosen, and he understood that, and he did outreach,” said Tom McClusky, vice president of government affairs at the anti-abortion rights group March for Life. McClusky, who has been critical of Trump in the past, continued, “If he fulfills the promises he’s made, he could be the most pro-life president since Reagan.”
Trump, a thrice-married, onetime New York liberal who has said he has never asked God for forgiveness, was an uncomfortable fit for Christian leaders throughout much of the campaign. But he won over many of them with a pledge to appoint only Supreme Court justices who oppose abortion rights, and he solidified that support in September by releasing a detailed letter that spelled out four policy promises, all tied to curtailing abortion rights. He went on to win 81 percent of the evangelical vote, a higher percentage than George W. Bush, himself a born-again Christian, landed in 2004.

Some of Trump’s pledges, particularly the stipulations concerning Supreme Court appointments, go further than previous Republican nominees have made, and that has earned Trump a reservoir of goodwill with many evangelical leaders. They say they have every reason to believe—and expect—that he will follow through on those promises. After all, evangelicals were a key part of Trump’s coalition—and, they argue, he knows it.

“The good news is, it’s not ‘us’ and ‘them,’ it’s just ‘us,’” agreed Marjorie Dannenfelser, the head of the anti-abortion rights group Susan B. Anthony List, in a conversation between donor visits in Texas. “I remember four years ago, hearing ‘elections have consequences,’ and being deeply troubled and annoyed. Now, I’m saying the same thing. We have every reason to be celebrating.”

Abortion Rates Fall to Their Lowest Level Since Roe as More Babies Saved From Abortion

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

The abortion rate in the U.S. has fallen to its lowest level since before Roe v. Wade, according to a new Centers for Disease Control report.
The CDC released its 2013 abortion surveillance report on Wednesday, showing a 5 percent drop in abortions from 2012 and a 20 percent drop since 2004. The CDC data, which is incomplete because the government does not require states to report abortion numbers, reported 664,435 abortions in 47 states in 2013. The abortion rate was 12.5 abortions per 1,000 women ages 15-44.

In comparison to 2012, the new data indicates that about 34,500 fewer babies lost their lives to abortion in 2013.

The Associated Press reports the CDC has not recorded a lower abortion rate since 1971, two years before the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade and its companion case Doe v. Bolton, which allowed for legalized abortion on demand through all nine months of pregnancy. In 1971, several states had legalized abortion; but it was not legal throughout the U.S.

Abortion rates have been dropping steadily in the past several years as pro-lifers worked to pass a historic number of pro-life laws in states across the country. Pregnancy resource centers and sidewalk counselors also have been playing an integral role, offering pregnant and parenting families resources and information to empower them to choose life for their unborn babies.

Advances in modern technology and medicine also have been playing a part by providing a clear picture of an unborn baby’s life and development in the womb, and making it difficult to deny the biology that life begins at conception.
At their high decades ago, approximately 1 in 3 pregnancies ended in an abortion — resulting in brochures, banners and billboards proclaiming that fact and greying out every third baby displayed in pictures of newborn children. But thanks to the dedicated work of millions of pro-lifers, more babies’ lives are being saved from abortion and more abortion facilities are closing their doors each year.

Former Interns Refuse to Back Down in Face of Attacks

from Mark Harrington, Executive Director
Created Equal

Columbus, OH – Nov 23, 2016 – At Created Equal, we are thankful for brave students willing to stand tall in an era of compromise. This fall, three graduates of our internship program returned to their hometown of Fort Wayne, IN with the goal of defending babies. Now, they're making headlines not backing down in spite of attacks against them!

Leading Created Equal outreach in Fort Wayne—on busy overpasses, in downtown squares, and now at area high schools—these graduates of our internship have changed the debate about abortion. Residents of the city no longer think about abortion in vague terms. They have seen the victims themselves.

Click here to listen to WOWO talk radio interview Lisbeth Nelson on the attack at South Side High School.

Click here to watch video of the attack.

Read coverage by the News-Sentinel here.

We reported recently their team was attacked by Principal Mable of South Side High School (Fort Wayne Community Schools) while leading outreach on public sidewalks adjacent to the school. The school thus far is refusing to admit wrongdoing. Spokesperson Krista Stockman said, "It's just they were impeding students trying to get home from school. Whether they like it or not, these are children. They may be in high school, but they are children."

Our response: High school students are having abortions and thus are old enough to see what it is.

One thing is eminently clear: Though they are far younger than Principal Mable and the school administration, Lisbeth, Silas, and Austin are giving their city an education on what it means to be an adult. They are not joining a politically correct movement to scratch a social justice itch. Rather, they are proclaiming an inconvenient truth and refusing to back down in the face of pressure.

  • Reply to this email with an encouraging note I'll forward to Lisbeth, Silas, and Austin to strengthen them.

We are thankful for these bold students. We are thankful for all who defend babies. And we are thankful to everyone who supports our ministry.

With your help, we'll keep changing the heart of the culture.

We live in a day when someone with a cell phone camera and a good idea can change the world. Our various media make it possible for people to become part of a grassroots effort intelligently responding to injustice. We are 21st century defenders. There’s a place for everyone in this movement. For more information on Created Equal, please use this link.
