Cecile Richards Recalls Obama Forcing Christians to Fund Abortions: “No Sweeter Day in My Lifetime”

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Abortion activist Cecile Richards told a women’s group that one of her “sweetest” moments in life was working with President Barack Obama on the oppressive Obamacare HHS mandate.

Richards, who made a nearly $1 million salary running the abortion “nonprofit” Planned Parenthood, spoke Oct. 11 to the National Council of Jewish Women’s annual Women of Vision in Michigan.

The Jewish News reports she urged women to vote for liberal candidates, and spoke about her proudest moments working for Planned Parenthood, which aborts about 320,000 unborn babies every year in America.

“Marching is great, knitting ‘pussy’ hats, calling senators, sending postcards, those are all great, but voting is the whole deal,” Richards said, pushing pro-abortion liberals to vote in the November midterms. “Every bit of progress we’ve made is on the line.”
During her 12 years at the abortion giant, Richards made numerous trips to the White House to visit pro-abortion President Obama and work with him on the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. That work is what she is the most proud of, she told the group.

According to the report:

Richards regards her work on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as her signature achievement.

“There was no sweeter day in my entire lifetime,” she said, than the day President Obama called her to tell her the ACA would include no-cost birth control.
“It’s hard to overstate how dramatic this change was,” she said. “For the first time, women had access to no-cost, effective birth control as well as to preventive care.”
But it was that same HHS mandate that forced religious charities and business owners to go to court or face crippling fines for refusing to violate their beliefs. The mandate forces employers to cover numerous forms of birth control, including types that may cause abortions, with virtually no moral or religious exemptions.

Because of Richards’ work, Hobby Lobby, Little Sisters of the Poor and other employers were forced fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court for their religious freedom. Fortunately, the high court did provide them relief.

But the reality of Richards’ “sweetest moment” is that her work threatened the lives and livelihoods of millions of Americans, born and unborn.

Feminist Book Names Former Abortion Exec Cecile Richards ‘Matron Saint of Mothers and Daughters’

"Planned Parenthood in truth violently separates mothers and daughters by ending the lives of unborn children, male and female"

By Calvin Freiburger
National Right to Life

A feminist author has taken it upon herself to elevate former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and a variety of other pro-abortion figures to sainthood.

Released in March by Penguin Random House, Julia Pierpont’s The Little Book of Feminist Saints is billed as a collection of “short, vibrant, and surprising biographies” matched to “stunning full-color portraits of secular female ‘saints’: champions of strength and progress.”

“The idea came from the Catholic saint-of-the-day book, the kind one might read as a source of daily inspiration throughout the calendar year,” Pierpont explained.
“The achievements of women haven’t been documented for nearly as long or as widely as those of their male counterparts,” the author claimed in an interview with Virago. “The more familiar their stories become, the more empowered future generations of women will be.”
While many of the book’s selections are women who made universally-recognized contributions to the world, such as abolitionist Harriet Tubman, radiation pioneer Marie Curie, and novelist Jane Austen, it also elevates several pro-abortion figures.

The latter include failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, former First Lady Michelle Obama, former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, Planned Parenthood founder and eugenics proponent Margaret Sanger, pro-abortion activist Gloria Steinem, and Cecile Richards and her mother Ann, a former governor of Texas.

Pierpont dubs Cecile and Ann Richards the “Matron Saints of Mothers and Daughters.” Their one-page entry, which is readable here via Google Books consists of a handful of “inspirational” quotes that say little about parenting.

“The most discouraging thing we are facing is the thought that our daughters and granddaughters could have fewer rights than we do – Mom never would have stood for it, so I can’t either,” Cecile is quoted as saying. The context is unknown, but similar quotes from the former abortion chief referred to abortion “access” rather than actual “rights.”
During her 12-year tenure at Planned Parenthood, the younger Richards presided over the abortions of an estimated 3.5 million pre-born babies (almost half of whom were likely female), whose lives she dismissed ] as not “really relevant” to discussing abortion.

Her time leading the abortion giant also saw sharp declines in actual medical services like breast cancer screenings or prenatal care while abortions rose 11 percent. Planned Parenthood’s practice of selling aborted babies’ organs was also revealed during her tenure.

Planned Parenthood in truth violently separates mothers and daughters by ending the lives of unborn children, male and female,” EWTN Pro-Life Weekly host Catherine Hadro responded. “This dramatically contrasts with whom the Catholic Church offers as the patron saint of mothers: St. Gianna Molla . The modern-day woman was a physician who sacrificed her own life to save that of her unborn child.”

Asked Which Historical Figure She Identifies With the Most, Cecile Richards Says: “The Witches of Salem”

By Brent Bozell
Life News

There’s a swagger in Cecile Richards’ step as she conducts a book tour around the media surrounding her departure from the summit of Planned Parenthood after 12 years. Call it a victory lap. Everywhere she goes, adoring liberal interviewers ask her if she’ll run for office next. After all, it’s not like she has millions of little skeletons in her closet.

Vanity Fair oozed over Richards and the abortion conglomerate’s Spring Into Action gala in New York City. The headline reads, “Planned Parenthood’s Future Is So Bright, They’ve Gotta Wear Pink.” The magazine eagerly recounted event details like the “Smash the Patriarchy” cocktails and buttons with the vulgar Planned Parenthood motto: “Don’t F—k With Us, Don’t F—k Without Us.”

In our secularized culture of death, Richards is projected as a civil rights icon — the white female version of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. No one found any irony whatsoever when she was honored with other “social justice warriors” on the stage of the Oscars … in the same category as a co-founder of Black Lives Matter.

Black lives mattered to Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, a racist who wanted her organization to curtail the reproduction of races that “still breed carelessly and disastrously,” as W.E.B. DuBois wrote for Sanger’s Birth Control Review.

Similarly, no one in the liberal media did a double take when in an interview with Vanity Fair, Richards was asked to name her most treasured possession and said: “My blue Shirley Temple cup. The Reverend Billy Graham baptized my mom with it when she was a girl.” Try to pair that with this next question and answer: Vanity Fair asked which historical figure she most identifies with, and she replied, “The witches of Salem.”

In her new book, Make Trouble, Richards recalls how she first made trouble almost 50 years ago at the age of 11, refusing to recite the Lord’s Prayer along with her class at University Park Elementary School in Dallas.

It’s easier to play God with the lives of the unborn when you don’t follow God’s inconvenient commandments.

No broadcaster has ruined the Planned Parenthood boss’s book tour by asking about the sale of the body parts of aborted babies. They’ve barely even mentioned abortion. Time magazine’s Belinda Luscombe ably demonstrated how the liberal media negotiate around the hard facts of what was unforgettably proved by the hidden cameras of The Center for Medical Progress.
“In 2015, Richards faced five hours of mostly hostile grilling by Congress after some activists released video purporting to show that the organization illegally sold fetal tissue,” Luscombe wrote. Ten hours of damning and skin-crawling video is dismissed as “purported.” Try to imagine Time writing about the “purported” images of prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib.

Cecile Richards Finally Leaves Planned Parenthood After 12 Years and 3.5 Million Abortions

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Cecile Richards officially left her position as the CEO of America’s largest abortion business on Monday.

Richards announced her plans to resign from Planned Parenthood in January, barely a month after the U.S. Department of Justice said it is investigating whether the abortion chain illegally sold aborted baby body parts.

Planned Parenthood has not announced Richards’ replacement at the time of the writing of this article.

“For 12 yrs, Mom has put her heart & soul into running Planned Parenthood,” Richards’ daughter Lily Adams tweeted Monday. “On her last day, it’s impossible to express what this org has meant to her & our family. We can’t wait to continue to support it as a few of the 11 million supporters across the country. #ThankYouCecile”

Planned Parenthood’s various twitter accounts also posted messages thanking their “fearless leader” for her abortion advocacy.

In her last speech as president, Richards spoke Sunday to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Texas, according to AJMC. There, she urged the pro-abortion medical group to support webcam abortions, a dangerous method in which women abort their unborn babies without ever seeing a doctor in person.

Richards has not indicated what she plans to do next. Right now, she is promoting her memoir, “Make Trouble,” but there is speculation that she may try to run for office. Her daughter Lily Adams works for pro-abortion U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris and Richards used to work for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Blogger's note:

Cecile Richards' supporters call her a 'fearless leader'. How much courage does it take to push an aggressive agenda to snuff out the lives of millions of defenseless unborn babies?

There are millions of women who suffer in silence. They swallowed Planned Parenthood's lie that abortion is a simple procedure with no consequences. Silent No More chronicles hundreds of stories of women who regret their abortion. They suffer an array of emotional, mental and physical pain. To help these wounded women Rachel's Vineyard offers weekend retreats in the US and 47 other countries on healing, forgiveness and restoration.

So what is Cecile Richards' legacy since 2006 as president of Planned Parenthood?

May Cecile Richards be set free from the deceit of Satan. May she come to her Creator and Savior for forgiveness, healing and peace.

Catholic Church Disaffiliates “Catholic” College Hosting Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

A California university hosting one of the foremost abortion activists in America is no longer Catholic, though its roots are in the faith.

Earlier this week, LifeNews reported the Dominican University of California invited Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards to speak as part of its spring lecture series.

Because of the school’s roots in the Catholic Church and its name, Dominican appears to be Catholic. But that is not the case, according to the Cardinal Newman Society.

The university no longer is recognized as Catholic by the Catholic Church, the group told LifeNews.
“Despite the misleading name of Dominican University — which alludes to its founding by the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, the great Catholic evangelist Saint Dominic, and a formerly authentic Catholic education — it is important to make Catholic families aware that Dominican University of California is no longer recognized as a Catholic university by Church authority,” the group said.
In 2012, the Cardinal Newman Society said it first noticed that Dominican University was not on the Official Catholic Directory anymore. However, the group said it is not widely known that the university is now secular.

Given its invitation to Richards, who aggressively lobbies against the Catholic Church on many issues, the group said alumni and donors probably have recognized that the university has abandoned its foundation in Catholic education.

However, Cardinal Newman Society said the university website’s mention of “Dominican ideas” and other Catholic references may be confusing to those not familiar with the school. It urged Dominican University to “be candid” about its secular mission.
“Catholic families in California and elsewhere deserve to be aware that Dominican University is not a valid option for Catholic education,” the group said.
Earlier this week, the university described the Planned Parenthood CEO as “a national leader for women’s rights and social and economic justice,” but Richards actually is an abortion activist who has repeatedly fought against the Catholic Church and its teachings about the sanctity of human life.

Richards is the outgoing president of Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion business in America. During her tenure, the highly paid “non-profit” CEO oversaw the abortion deaths of approximately 3.8 million unborn babies.

Oscars Celebrates Abortion, Honors Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Hollywood displayed its love affair with abortion Sunday at the Oscars by featuring the president of the largest abortion chain in America on stage.

Cecile Richards, CEO of Planned Parenthood, was one of 10 activists invited to stand on stage during Andra Day and Common’s performance Sunday night at the Oscars, Blavity reports.

Richards and the others wore black as Common and Day sang their Oscar-nominated “Stand Up for Something.” The song urges people to resist violence and racism and to protect women’s rights – which, in the eyes of many Hollywood celebrities, means abortion on demand up to birth.
“It has never been more important to stand up for something: for social and criminal and EQUAL justice, for women’s rights, for civil rights, for human rights. From Syria, to Puerto Rico, to #StandingRock. #Oscars #Oscars90,” the abortion chain tweeted Sunday night.
“I stand for peace love and women’s rights.” - @Common

It has never been more important to stand up for something: for social and criminal and EQUAL justice, for women’s rights, for civil rights, for human rights. From Syria, to Puerto Rico, to .

One of the things that made Richards’ appearance so ironic is Planned Parenthood’s claim that its primary function is health care for low-income and minority patients. Yet, Richards repeatedly has shown Planned Parenthood to be a elitist, well-connected abortion giant whose support comes from the most wealthy, privileged people on earth, not the people it claims to serve.

Planned Parenthood’s top leader parties with celebrities and politicians while enjoying posh Manhattan offices, flattering media attention and a nearly $1 million-a-year salaryrunning the “non-profit.”

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood’s actual services to low-income and minority Americans have been declining rapidly. In the past decade, Planned Parenthood’s own reports show huge drops in patient numbers and actual health services. The abortion chain claims to be a key woman’s health care provider, but it does not provide any mammograms and almost no prenatal care or adoption services.

Penn State Bans Pro-Life Students From Event With Cecile Richards to Challenge Her on Abortion

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

A peaceful group of students was kicked out of a publicly-advertised event with Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards on Thursday at Penn State University.

Richards was part of a panel discussion called “Beyond Choice: Barriers to Healthcare in Our Communities” on Feb. 22 hosted by the abortion chain and its student club at the central Pennsylvania university.

Sarah Nahrgang, a contributor to the student newspaper The State Patriot and the secretary of Penn State Students for Life, said she signed up to attend the event. But when she showed up, they refused to let her in

I RSVPed for the panel and was placed on the attendance list, but as soon as I showed my ID at the door, I was recognized and turned away for being pro-life. “You’re a leader of Students for Life. You have to leave,” I was told. Clearly, the RSVP list served as a means for Planned Parenthood Generation Action, the PSU club hosting the event, to keep dissenting opinions far away from Queen Richards.

Nahrgang said she did not have any plans to disrupt the event or cause trouble; she prepared a few questions in case there was a question-and-answer period, but otherwise she was just there to listen.

At least three other students who abortion activists identified as pro-life also were kicked out. Julia Messina, vice president of PSU Students for Life, received a text saying that she had been removed from the attendees list on Thursday.

The text said the event was “to engage our supporters” only. However, the abortion activists apparently allowed a student journalist to attend the event and report on it for the largest student newspaper at PSU.

Nahrgang said these actions violate university policy:
The Student Faculty Senate confirmed this morning, after these texts were received, that this is a violation of university policy. However, since Planned Parenthood Generation Action was also working with Planned Parenthood Keystone, which is not a student group, community organizer Christine O’Donovan Zavada disagreed with the policy and refused to allow pro-life students to hear Richards speak.

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards Resigns After Presiding Over 3.5 Million Abortions

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards plans to resign from her position after overseeing more than 3 million unborn babies’ abortion deaths, liberal news outlets reported Wednesday.

The abortion chain has not confirmed Richards’ resignation yet; however, two separate, anonymous sources told BuzzFeed about her plans to resign.

“Cecile plans to discuss 2018 and the next steps for Planned Parenthood’s future at the upcoming board meeting,” a spokesperson for the abortion chain said Wednesday.

The CEO since 2006, Richards drew in huge salary by leading the “non-profit.” During her tenure, Planned Parenthood saw huge drops in patient numbers and actual health servicesand scandal after scandal involving aborted baby body parts trafficking and sexual abuse cover-ups.

At the same time, the abortion chain reaped in record profits, including billions in taxpayer funding, and maintained a corner on the American abortion market. It ramped up its political advocacy and attacked numerous efforts to protect unborn and born babies from abortion.

On Twitter, Susan B. Anthony List noted the news by mourning the number of unborn babies who have died under Richards’ leadership.

After overseeing the abortion deaths of more than 3.8 MILLION babies, @CecileRichards to step down from her role as CEO of the nation's largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood.

Richards expanded political advocacy at Planned Parenthood. Her background was in politics, not health care. Previously, she worked for pro-abortion House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and the liberal advocacy group America Votes. She is the daughter of former Texas Gov. Ann Richards.

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards: “Why Should Christians be Able to Impose Their Views on Women?”

By Lauretta Brown
Life News

Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards claimed Monday evening, at a conference in D.C., that progressives can’t “take back political power if we don’t also stand up every single day for reproductive healthcare including safe and legal abortion in America.”

The conference was hosted by the State Innovation Exchange (SiX), an organization that “supports state legislators in advancing and defending progressive policies across the country.”

The remark was likely prompted by some recent discussion within the Democratic party over whether abortion should be a litmus test for candidates. Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Ben Lujan maintained that there is no such litmus test for candidates after DNC Chair Tom Perez said in April that support for abortion was non-negotiable.

Richards went on to say that “women have been in the crosshairs of this administration since day one,” referencing the Trump administration’s attempts to defund Planned Parenthood and, more recently, Trump’s broadening of religious freedom exemptions for employers with religious and moral objections to covering contraception under Obamacare.

“The Trump administration managed to go after the one thing that basically everyone in this country likes and you know what that is? Birth control,” Richards said.
“I don’t think these guys understand that birth control, some of them think it’s a kind of social issue,” she continued. “Do you know that the average woman in America spends five years getting pregnant, having kids and spends an average of 30 years trying not to have children? Okay, that’s a lot of healthcare.”
Richards did not address the actual religious objections that led to lawsuits against the Obama administration from a host of religious groups, including a now five-year-long lawsuit from the Little Sisters of the Poor whose homes for the elderly would’ve been threatened by fines if they did not receive some exception to the mandate.

Paying for or supporting the use of contraception is contrary to fundamental Catholic moral teaching. The Obama administration offered the groups an accommodation that would delegate the contraception coverage to a third party, but they objected that the process still left them complicit in the coverage.

The nuns’ willingness to risk their charities in the U.S. because of their moral objections to providing birth control left Cecile Richards seemingly unmoved as she commented in 2014 that the religious exemption delegating coverage to a third party is enough and “this is a case about paperwork, not religious liberty.”
Richards doubled down on that Monday in an interview, when NPR’s David Greene pointed out that “the Supreme Court ruled that the government can’t force private companies, nonprofits to pay for birth control against their religious beliefs. Are you concerned that the law is on the administration’s side here?”

Cecile Richards: “Planned Parenthood Believes Every Person Has a Right to Live”

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

Cecile Richards is upset that Trump ended DACA because the Planned Parenthood abortion business will get fewer customers as a result. She says she is “heartbroken” by the decision.

As everyone knows, the Planned Parenthood abortion company has a long history of preying on minorities to sell abortions. It has frequently located its abortion centers in historically minority neighborhoods in order to prey on Black and Hispanic women.
In an email sent to the abortion company’s supporters today, Richards indicated she is very upset that Trump for ending the DACA. The email makes it very clear that Planned Parenthood hopes to continue it’s attempt to keep Black and Hispanic women in its corner so it can sell them abortions down the road.Richards is clearly unhappy the decision could cost the abortion business its customer base.
“The Trump administration just announced a plan to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — an attack that will leave 800,000 young people who have grown up in this country at risk of deportation, including members of the Planned Parenthood community,” Richards complained. “I’m infuriated. I’m heartbroken.”
She claims “DACA has helped so many young DREAMers” to go to Planned Parenthood abortion centers.
“We are resolved to fight back against this cruel and heartless decision — and I hope you are, too,” Richards says to her pro-abortion supporters.
Then Richards, as she is prone to do, offers one of her incredibly ironic statements. It appears she really never fully understands the words she is uttering in light ofher role presiding over the biggest abortion business in the world.
“Here at Planned Parenthood, we firmly believe that every person has the right to live, work, and raise a family freely and without the threat of deportation or separation,” she says.
Right to live? Tell that to the 300,000 unborn babies whose lives Planned Parenthood snuffs out every year. Fear of deportation or separation? From the womb perhaps.
“We believe in every person’s right to control their own destiny and their own body,” Richards continues — ignoring such right for people before birth.
“We stand with our allies who are leading this fight and will never stop fighting for this vision. Protecting immigrant families from inhumane attacks, assault, and deportations is critical to making that vision a reality,” Richards continues.
In other words, we love immigrants because they form the basis of our customer base and we can kill more of their babies in abortions.

A Compliant Progressive Must Worship at the Altar of Abortion

By ACLJ.org

A compliant progressive must worship at the altar of abortion.

At least that is what Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards alluded to in a series of tweets responding to the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Rep. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.), who proclaimed “there would be no abortion ‘litmus test’ and that the party would not withhold funding from pro-life candidates.”

In a furious tweet storm, Richards retorts:
Women’s health & rights are non-negotiable – incl. access to safe, legal abortion. We’ll hold any politician who says otherwise accountable. Trading away women’s health and rights will just alienate one of the most powerful political forces in this country. Access to safe, legal abortion is central to women’s economic empowerment and bodily autonomy.
NARAL Pro-Choice America – the abortion industry’s lobby in Washington – piles on:
As a progressive movement, we recognize that over the last decade there has been a massive erosion of access to abortion and attacks on contraception and we cannot back away from this fight without abandoning people and undercutting core constituencies in our base.
As we always have, progressives share our party with people who personally don’t believe that abortion is an option for them. This includes self-identified ‘pro-life’ legislators up until the moment they seek to impose those personal views on their constituents and the country.
If they vote to restrict abortion access or contraception access, they then undercut the party platform and they undercut the welfare of women.
To Richards, Planned Parenthood, and NARAL, “progressive” and “democrat” are synonymous with death.
Just like the well-practiced human “sacrificers” of yore – like the Aztecs who brought their children for the appeasement of the gods – our culture too now sacrifices their children for the appeasement of the gods, all in the name of progressivism.

Actor James Woods Slams Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards for Celebrating Abortion on Mother’s Day

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Unlike many Hollywood celebrities, actor James Woods boldly speaks out for the rights of babies in the womb.

Known for his roles in “Casino” and “Once Upon A Time in America” and voices in “Family Guy” and Disney’s “Hercules,” Woods has criticized the abortion chain Planned Parenthood on social media several times.

On Mother’s Day, he did it again, according to The Christian Post.

His post was a reaction to Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards who urged children to love their mothers by advocating for abortions.

“Nothing says ‘I love you, Mom!’ like standing up for the right of mothers everywhere to get the care they need,” Richards tweeted on Mother’s Day.

Nothing says "I love you, Mom!" like standing up for the right of mothers everywhere to get the care they need. http://time.com/4777924/mothers-day-gift-health-care …

By “care,” Richards meant abortions. Last week, she described abortion as “fundamental” to women’s health care.

Woods realized this and responded by describing the horror of what Richards’ was really saying.

“Hard to say ‘I love you, Mom’ from a medical waste dumpster… #DefundPP,” he tweeted in response.

Every year, Planned Parenthood violently aborts approximately 300,000 unborn babies, more than any other group in the United States. And it makes millions of dollars destroying their lives.
