An [unelected] judge is continuing to force Ohio to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business with taxpayer dollars.
Ohio was one of the states to pass legislation defunding the Planned Parenthood abortion business but a federal judge today ruled the Buckeye State can’t revoke taxpayer funds from the abortion company while its lawsuit against the state proceeds.
The Planned Parenthood abortion business is not happy the state of Ohio approved legislation to permanently ban any taxpayer funding for the abortion corporation. Governor John Kasich recently signed the pro-life bill into law.
After the Planned Parenthood abortion company was caught in multiple states selling aborted babies and their body parts, several states have taken steps to defund it and Ohio became the 10th state to take steps to end or cut Planned Parenthood funding. Planned Parenthood runs three abortion centers in the state and every Planned Parenthood clinic refers women for abortions.
So the abortion company sued.
Today, Judge Michael Barrett granted a permanent injunction, preventing the Ohio law to defund entities that perform or promote abortions from taking effect.
Katie Franklin, director of communications for Ohio Right to Life, told LifeNews.com she is disappointed by the derision.
“Judge Barrett’s decision is a clear violation of states’ rights and the conscience rights of taxpayers. It is the public policy of the state of Ohio to prefer childbirth over abortion, and we should be allowed to allocate funds accordingly,” she said. “Planned Parenthood has no constitutional right to the hard-earned dollars of taxpayers, millions of whom have deep and abiding objections to the corporation’s pro-abortion business model.”SIGN THE PETITION!
