'UNITED' 40 Days for Life Fall Campaign Events in West Chester, Pa.

From Paulette Matthews
Chester County Pro-Life

  • 40 Days for Life Kickoff Rally
  • 4th Annual "Early Midway" Baby Shower
  • Columbus Day Event
  • 57 Memorial White Crosses
  • 40 Days for Life Website

America is at a crossroads and the second half of 2016 provides an unprecedented opportunity to accelerate the end of abortion.  Many good people are still not aware of the plight of the unborn and the impact abortion has on our county.  When our country was unraveling in our past history, our forefathers turned to prayer.

This Fall 40 Days for Life Campaign is uniting all 50 of the United States simultaneously in prayer, fasting and public witnessing.  All 50 states have previously held campaigns contributing to the saving of over 11,796 babies, but never before have all 50 states participated in one campaign.

To enhance this accomplishment, National 40 Days for Life is planning a massive cross country tour visiting each and every campaign from sea to shining sea.

Thank you for your continual support of 40 Days in Chester County so that we may be part of this monumental event.

40 Days for Life Kickoff Rally
Sunday, September 25th
12:30 - 2:00 pm
Covenant Fellowship Church
1 Fellowship Drive
Glen Mills, PA

All are welcome to share in a pizza lunch.  Videos and testimonies to educate and share the joys of choosing life.Your attendance will encourage others to step up and witness and pray in front of Planned Parenthood.

4th Annual 'Early Midway" Baby Shower

Twenty years ago, on August 6, 1996, Planned Parenthood of West Chester began destroying unborn children at 8 S. Wayne Street. For 20 years, and continuing to the present, every Tuesday an entire classroom of children are obliterated at the West Chester's Planned Parenthood abortion facility. This Planned Parenthood is responsible for the deaths of over 20,000 children and counting.

Ironically, the borough of West Chester's population consistently averages out to be approximately 20,000 residents. These two statistics gives a visual conception of the loss this particular Planned Parenthood is perpetrating upon our nation.

By putting our concern in action, our baby shower brings attention to some of the joys of life. From 10 am to 2 pm we will be walking with baby strollers and balloons celebrating life in front of Planned Parenthood.  Stop by and walk with us and help us fill the strollers.

Also, please encourage your churches and organizations to participate in this event. Dollar Store items are more than welcome.  Also, larger size diapers are always in need.  Used clothing items up to age 4 is also a blessing.

If you are collecting items, I am more than willing to come and pick them up at your convenience, anytime or place, if you cannot visit PP on Saturday.  All proceeds are shared with Chester County Women Services, Birthright in West Chester and Birthright in Coatesville.

40 Days for Life is always aided by pregnancy centers in so many ways.  This is a great way to show our appreciation and help lighten their burdens in their helping of the mothers and babies.

Rain or shine, we will be there.

Columbus Day Event
October 10, 2016
8:00 am - 8:00 pm

Men of faith have been an intricate part of the success of 40 Days for Life since its inception. Their visibility from organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, King's Men, and all who profess the Gospel of Life have had a tremendous success in saving the lives of many unborn children.

Christoper Columbus was a man of great faith.  So on that day, we encourage all men to make a special effort to be visible in prayer in front of Planned Parenthood.  Women need to know that men, who are designed by God to be the authors of life, do care for them and children. Encourage and invite other men to stand with you for life.

57 Memorial White Crosses

To reach as many people as possible at this crucial time in the history of the United States, 40 Days for Life will close this Fall Campaign by carrying the 57 white Memorial crosses through the borough of West Chester stopping at the old courthouse.
We will gather in the back parking lot of St. Agnes Catholic Church at 2:00 pm. Each person will be asked to carry one white cross representing 1 million babies lost to abortion.

Signs will also be handed out to carry, giving an explanation as to why we are processing.  The longer the line of crosses, the more impact this walk will have on the community so we truly need a minimum of 70 people.

Children are encouraged to join in this walk.  Who else better to represent the unborn?

We will conclude the procession at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 110 W. Market Street.  A light lunch will be served in appreciation for your participation in 40 Days and making this Memorial Procession possible.

This is a great event to invite those that have not yet participated in a 40 Days for Life event as they will have the opportunity to meet other people who have a concern for the unborn and their families.  All are welcome.

40 Days for Life Midway Events in Chester County, Pennsylvania

From Paulette Matthews
Chester County Pro-Life

  • Midway Prayer Events
  • Knight of Columbus Honors Father Michael J. McGivney
  • Two Must Read Books

Midway Prayer Events

On March 5th from 9 AM to 10 AM, 40 Days will be joining with the Helpers of God Precious Infants to say the rosary in front of PP and then retire to St. Agnes' cafeteria for a continental breakfast and pro-life updates for our local areas. The Helpers are present at PP every 1st Saturday year round. Great way to meet more pro-life prayer warriors! All are invited to attend.

Later the same day at 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM an ecumenical prayer service will be lead by Thomas Ackerman. Tom embraces the Messianic Jewish faith. We are hoping to reach out to the PP workers as they leave for the day at 2 PM with information from Abby Johnson's "And Then There Were None" ministry.

Hopefully, this will give the worker a chance to reconsider their life choices and have the help they need to leave the abortion industry.

Knight of Columbus Honors Father Michael J. McGivney
March 15 8 AM to 8 PM

Pope Benedict XVI declared Fr. Michael J. McGivney venerable on March 15, 2008 approving a degree of "Heroic Virtue" for the parish priest who founded the Knights of Columbus.

Through the Knight of Columbus, Fr. McGivney gave laymen a new opportunity-the chance to grow in holiness while contributing to their parishes, communities and security of their families. All men are invited to stand in solidarity witnessing for the sanctity of human life and showing that men do take on the responsibly of fatherhood as men are the authors of life so designed by God.

Open Days Left in Front of PP

March 1st - 2nd - 4th - 11th are the days left that no church or organization has adopted to try and fill the hours from 8 AM to 8 PM in front of Planned Parenthood.

March 1st will have people there from 8 AM to 12 Noon. The rest of the the hours are pretty much in need of peaceful prayer participants. If you can, try and fill some of the hours.

Check the vigil schedule and see if you can pair up with someone or someone might want to pair up with you. To post your vigil hours go to 40daysforlife.com/chestercounty.
Yes, I am encouraging everyone to use the vigil calendar, if possible, as it will encourage others to come down and pray if they know that you may be there.

The children are in need of your prayers so, please, come and pray which ever way works best for you.

Sign up for an hour on the 40daysforlife.com/chestercounty vigil calendar.

PARKING UPDATE

Through the outreaching of Pastor Joseph Stigora, Providence Church, 430 Hannum Avenue is allowing those that participate in 40 Days For Life Campaign by praying in front of Planned Parenthood to park free of charge on their parking lot.

  Two "Must Read" Books

"We Choose Life" is a collection of compelling stories from men and women who are dedicated to rescuing babies, mothers and fathers from abortion.

Included in the book, is our own Jewels Green who shared her life journey with us in West Chester recounts her story from the tragedy of abortion to living in the fullness of God's love.

(Click on image  for more information and/or to purchase on Amazon)

This book narrates the harrowing and life-changing experiences of former abortion clinic workers, including those of the author, who once directed abortion services at a large Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas. These individuals, whose names have been changed to protect their identities, left their jobs in the abortion industry after experiencing a change of heart. They have come forward with their stories, not for fame or notoriety, but to shed light on the reality of abortion. They want their stories to change the lives of others for the better.

  • Opening Day Prayer Vigil
  • Abby Johnson
  • Midway Prayer Events
  • Knight of Columbus Honors Father Michael J. McGivney
  • Palm Sunday

The following are events taking place during the 40 Days for Life Spring Campaign in West Chester, PA. Those living in or around this area are encouraged to attend these events. For more information, please contact Paulette Matthews at paulettematthews@hotmail.com.

18th - 40 Days for Life Campaign in Chester County, Pa.
February 10 to March 20th 8 AM to 8 PM
Planned Parenthood
8 S. Wayne and Market Street (West Chester)

This campaign starts with very good news. It was reported that one baby was saved during our last campaign which brings the total of the babies saved in West Chester since 2007 to 37 saves, that we now know of. It would be a spiritual boost to all of us that if you know of a baby saved during a campaign, you would share that blessing with me so I can pass it on to all of us. I have no other way of knowing.

Opening Day Prayer Vigil

On the Opening Day, February 10th, of this campaign, we will have an ecumenical, candlelight prayer vigil in front of Planned Parenthood, 8th S. Wayne St. from 7 PM to 8 PM.

We have been praying for the end of abortion for over 40 years. We have watched laws give more protection to the unborn since the 1973 Supreme Court made abortion legal in all 50 states. We have worked at creating more crisis pregnancy centers than there are abortion facilities to provide help and hope to mothers. God, always, hears our prayer and is always faithful.

In Psalm 94:4 (NIV) "They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting." Who ever would have thought to pray that in the boastfulness of Planned Parenthood, they would, themselves, expose their own evil deeds. God has worked though David Daleiden with the videos that he has present and Lily Rose has just release another video talking with Leroy Carhart, the late term abortionist in Germantown, Md. The website liveaction.org/inhuman/ exposes more of the evils of abortion. Through all of us, God is bring forth the truth and we must continue to spread his love and light.

Our candlelight pray hour will be held in the spirit of thankfulness that God has given us the insight and courage to unconditionally defend life and that God is sharing with us a glimpse of His unconditional love that He has for all of us. God has rewarded us in ways we never would have imagined.

Matt 17:20 "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Abby Johnson
Valentines's Day February 14th
4 PM to 6 PM
St Peter's Catholic Church
2835 Manor Road
West Brandywine Rd. 19320
NO CHARGE

I cannot encourage you enough to attend Abby's event. Abby will share with you her spiritual journey. This is truly a story of love and what better day than Valentine's Day to learn how God is offering His love through Abby to His lost lambs working in the abortion mills.

Sign up for an hour on the 40daysforlife.com/chestercounty vigil calendar, if possible sign up for an hour or so after 12 noon til 8 PM. Tuesday morning is the day that the children loose their lives to abortion. From 8 AM to 12 noon many people are already there offering help and hope to the women going in for their abortions. The 12 PM til 8 PM hours are open.

     Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. Jesus traveled to Jerusalem knowing that His journey would end in His sacrificial death on the cross for the sins of all mankind.

This is 40 Days for Life in West Chester greatest outreach prayer service to the local community to draw attention that children are being sacrificed right in their neighborhood. It is also a reminder that Christ died for them too no matter how busy they are or how irrelevant Christ seems to them. The Holy Spirit can turn a quick glance into a life time of change.
