Day 6 of our Prayer Initiative for Lisa Pierriera #onesoulatatime

"I can't stop praying for poor sinners who are on the road to hell. If they come to die in that state, they will be lost for all eternity. What a pity! We have to pray for sinners! Praying for sinners is the most beautiful and useful of prayers." - St. John Vianney

St. John Vianney reminds us that the most useful thing we can do for a lost soul   is to pray for them.   Let us pray, as commanded by God,  for all abortionists, but especially today for Lisa Pierrriera, that she will turn away from her sinful practice of killing God's precious children and use her skills to heal and save lives.

Merciful Jesus, you have commanded us to pray for sinners.  We come before you today and ask for Your Divine Mercy on Lisa Pierriera.  We pray that Your love will flood her soul and free her from satan's grasp.  Amen.

BREAKING: US Senate Axes Obama Order Forcing States to Fund Planned Parenthood

By Claire Chretien
Life Site News

Vice President Mike Pence broke a tie in the U.S. Senate today to overturn an Obama-era regulation forcing states to give Title X money to organizations that commit abortions. The Senate voted 50 to 50 to overturn the abortion-facility-enabling regulation.

Sen. Susan Collins, R-ME, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-AK, voted against allowing a vote on the bill. The Senate was tied at 50-50 on whether to allow a vote, so Pence broke the tie. Collins and Murkowski then voted against the bill, causing another 50-50 tie that Pence broke.

This was the first abortion-related vote in the Senate since the 2015 vote on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, according to the Susan B. Anthony List.

Title X money comes from the government to fund "family planning services," but technically not abortion. Pro-life advocates point out that government money Planned Parenthood receives helps the abortion-centered organization overall, and that such money is fungible.

Shortly before he left office, Obama pushed through an HHS regulation that essentially forces states to give Planned Parenthood Title X funding. Under this rule, states must give Planned Parenthood or abortionists Title X grants and may not choose to redirect those funds to comprehensive healthcare clinics.

On February 16, the U.S. House voted 230 to 188 to overturn this regulation. Congress is able to overturn it because of the Congressional Review Act, which allows it to undo such agency regulations within 60 legislative days.

12 Years After They Starved My Sister to Death, We Must Never Forget Terri Schiavo

By Bobby Schindler
Life News

Every year, I write to honor my sister, Terri Schiavo, on March 31st, the anniversary of her death, and reflect on the state of our nation when it comes to the treatment of our medically vulnerable.

For those who do not remember, Terri, at the age of 26, experienced a still unexplained collapse while at home alone with her husband, Michael Schiavo, which resulted in a severe brain injury. Despite widespread characterizations that suggested she was near death in the years after her injury, Terri was not dying, and did not suffer from any life-threatening disease. She was neither on machines, nor was she “brain dead.”

Sadly, after a few years of caring for Terri, Michael, who was Terri’s guardian, lost interest in his brain injured, but otherwise healthy, young wife, and eventually petitioned the courts for permission to deliberately starve and dehydrate her to death.

On the order of Judge George W. Greer, Terri was deprived of water and food, and after 13 days, she died on March 31st, 2005 of severe dehydration.

We commemorate “Terri’s Day” each spring to honor her memory and pray for all of our medically vulnerable brothers and sisters. This year, EWTN is commemorating “Terri’s Day” on April 7th through an internationally televised mass with Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, followed by a special interview with Fr. Mitch Pacwa, the Archbishop, and me.

The Network’s Impact

In response to Terri’s death, my family established the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network to advocate for medically vulnerable persons. Since the Network’s founding, we’ve been honored to have helped more than 2,500 patients and families access the advocates and resources they need to fight in their time of crisis.

Too often, medically vulnerable persons face having their basic care denied, as rising health care cost, and a “quality of life” mentality continue to influence the care they receive.

It’s not coincidental that every year since the Network’s founding, calls to our 24/7 Crisis Lifeline increase. Worse than the calls themselves is the nature of so many of them.

One example is the recent case of Tabetha Long, a young woman who experienced cardiac arrest that resulted in an anoxic brain injury. Tabetha’s doctors were optimistic with her initial test results having varying degrees of responsiveness.

Incredibly—and what is still difficult to explain—her mother, who was making her medical treatment decisions, admitted her daughter into hospice where, subsequently, her food and water were stopped. Instead of the chance for rehabilitation, she was denied food and water.

Thankfully, Tabetha’s boyfriend began asking questions, and we were able to identify a supportive attorney for Tabetha who convinced courts to intervene, remove Tabetha from hospice, and restore her food and water. Since then, she has been discharged and is now living at home.

Pro-Abortion Students Call for Censorship of Pro-Lifers at Aberdeen University

By Danny David
Live Action News

For some pro-abortion activists in Scotland, posters advertising peaceful pro-life gatherings are apparently just too offensive to handle.

A letter, signed by approximately 250 people and groups, called for the removal of posters advertising 40 Days for Life, which is currently putting on a peaceful prayer gathering outside Aberdeen Maternity Hospital. The posters are displayed on the University of Aberdeen Catholic chaplaincy building, which is owned by the Diocese of Aberdeen.

But some students feel that the posters are just too offensive to remain. The letter states:

We feel these [posters] are harmful and make our campus a distressing place.
…Our campus is a place for discussion but displaying material that appears to condemn those who have had abortions is actively harmful. Students, staff and others should be able to walk about campus without feeling attacked by the material that is displayed.

Advertising a peaceful prayer vigil is “harmful” and “distressing?” An “attack” on students and staff?

It’s more likely that this is a case of pro-abortion individuals and groups seeking to censor opposing views.

For some pro-abortion activists in Scotland, posters advertising peaceful pro-life gatherings are apparently just too offensive to handle.

Day 5 of our Prayer Campaign for Lisa Pierriera #onedayatatime

'Every life has a measure of sorrow, and sometimes this is what awakens us.' - Steven Tyler

As we continue our prayers on this 5th day of prayer for Lisa Pierriera, let us pray she is truly remorseful for the killing of thousands of unborn babies.

Heavenly Father, as we come to You in prayer today, we lift up your daughter Lisa and ask you to have mercy on her soul. Open her eyes to the horror of abortion and give her the gift of true sorrow for the sin of abortion of so many of your precious little ones.

Shocking Video: Planned Parenthood Director Caught Admitting Babies Born Alive After Abortion are Killed

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

A shocking new undercover video exposes a Planned Parenthood medical director admitting that babies born alive after abortion are sometimes killed.

The top Planned Parenthood official is caught on video essentially admitting that it “depends on who is in the room” as to whether or not a baby who is born alive after a failed abortion is taken to the hospital or left to die.

The new undercover video shows DeShawn Taylor, previous Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Arizona and longtime abortion practitioner at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, graphically describing how to deliver intact fetuses in late-term abortions to harvest high-quality body parts, and indicating possible cover-up of infanticide.

The footage is never-before-released material obtained by The Center for Medical Progress, whose undercover videos recorded top-level Planned Parenthood leaders negotiating the harvesting and sale of the hearts, lungs, livers, and brains of aborted fetuses for financial benefit.

At a networking reception at a Planned Parenthood conference, CMP investigators posing as buyers from a biotech company are introduced to Dr. Taylor by Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services.

Taylor explains to the investigators, “In Arizona, if the fetus comes out with any signs of life, we’re supposed to transport it. To the hospital.” When one investigator then asks, “Is there any standard procedure for verifying signs of of life?”

Taylor replies, “Well, the thing is, I mean the key is, you need to pay attention to who’s in the room, right?” Taylor then laughs as she repeats what the Arizona law requires, and says, “It’s a mess. It’s a mess.”

The Planned Parenthood medical director also admits that Planned Parenthood does its best to obtain intact fetal organs to sell — essentially the body parts of aborted babies.

Taylor confirms she does elective abortions on healthy fetuses and pregnant women up to 24 weeks. When the investigators ask her about obtaining intact fetal organs, Dr. Taylor replies, “It’s not a matter of how I feel about it coming out intact, but I gotta worry about my staff and people’s feelings about it coming out looking like a baby.”

Additionally, the Planned Parenthood official says she doesn’t like it when people call and born children babies because she considers that “creepy.”

She continues, “We have the people who do our paperwork for the fetal death certificates, they email us calling them ‘babies’. Baby this, baby that, baby so-and-so, and I’m like, that’s creepy!”

Attorney General Who Charged David Daleiden With 15 Felonies Received Thousands From Planned Parenthood

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

The Attorney General in California has charged pro-life activist David Daleiden with 15 felonies for his investigative work exposing the Planned Parenthood abortion business and its sales of aborted baby parts.

Not surprisingly, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra has received thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from the Planned Parenthood abortion company.

As LifeNews.com reported today, Becerra slammed pro-life undercover investigator David Daleiden with 15 felony charges on Tuesday, claiming he illegally recorded Planned Parenthood abortion workers and groups that distribute aborted babies’ body parts.

Becerra, a Democrat, announced the charges Tuesday against Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress. Daleiden and CMP fired back with a new video exposing Planned Parenthood.

California requires that both parties consent to be recorded. Becerra alleges that Daleiden and Merritt broke the law by filming their conversations with abortionists and others without their consent, according to the report.

But reports from the center for responsive politics show Planned Parenthood has been a long time contributor to Becerra’s campaigns. The Planned Parenthood abortion business gave Becerra $1,000 in 2014, $2,000 in 2012, $500 in 2004, $1,000 in 2002, and $1,035 in 1998. When pro-abortion Governor Jerry Brown name Becerra to the Attorney General post, the Planned Parenthood abortion company was delighted.

The Center for Medical Progress responded on Tuesday by calling the charges “bogus.”

“The public knows the real criminals are Planned Parenthood and their business partners,” Daleiden’s group said in a statement. “We look forward to showing the entire world what is on our yet-unreleased videotapes of Planned Parenthood’s criminal baby body parts enterprise, in vindication of the First Amendment rights of all.”

California AG Files Politically Motivated Charges Against Daleiden and Merritt

Operation Rescue

Sacramento, CA – Late yesterday, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra charged pro-life investigative journalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress with 15 felony counts related to secret recordings they made that provided evidence of Planned Parenthood’s participation in the illegal trafficking of aborted baby remains.

In 2016, Daleiden and Merritt were indicted by a tainted grand jury on similar charges, which were later dismissed after evidence surfaced that the Harris County District Attorney’s office had colluded with Planned Parenthood for political reasons to turn the grand jury against the pro-life activists.

Our Continuing Prayers for Lisa Pierriera - Day 4 of our Prayer Campaign

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” - John 8:12

As we pray today for Lisa Pierriera, we ask that her eyes be open to God's truth; she be bought out of her darkness and into God's light; and that she will deeply regret harming women through abortion.

When those caught up in abortion, turn from their sin and give their lives to Christ, the war against the unborn will start to crumble, one #soulatatime.

Prayer to God the Father of all Life

Eternal God, You have revealed Yourself as the Father of all Life. We praise You for the Fatherly care which You extend to all creation, and especially to us, made in Your image and likeness.

Father, extend Your hand of protection to those threatened by abortion, and save them from its destructive power.

Bless our families and bless our land, that we may have the joy of welcoming and nurturing the life of which You are the source and the Eternal Father. Amen.

Jane Fonda Turns Killing Babies Into a Fashion Statement With Planned Parenthood Pin

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

When it comes to business, Planned Parenthood is for Hollywood and diapers are for Trump, according to two liberal activist celebrities.

On Monday, actresses Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin appeared as guests on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss their Netflix show, Grace & Frankie. But that’s not all they did: the two stars got political.

In the middle of the show, Fonda joked to host Stephen Colbert that President Donald Trump should invest in a new business.

“I have an idea for a new business model for Trump,” she said. “Adult diapers.” To much cheering from the audience, Fonda added, “They could be called ‘Trumpers,’ because – to help with all the leaks.”
The two actresses also garnered applause when Colbert revealed that the two participated in the Los Angeles Women’s March. The march, a January protest inspired by Trump’s election to the presidency, claimed to represent “all” women even as it dismissed pro-life women with a pro-abortion platform. The event even boasted Planned Parenthood as a “premier partner.”

But that was something the liberal activist actresses supported. At the very end of their appearance, Fonda exclaimed, “Notice our Planned Parenthood pins!” Both she and Tomlin pointed to the golden pins on their shirts – a new fashion trend in Hollywood.

Netflix recently debuted the third season of Grace & Frankie, where the two main characters, played by Fonda and Tomlin, become close friends after their husbands leave them to pursue a gay relationship with each together.

West Virginia House Passes Bill for Parental Notification Before Teen Can Have an Abortion

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

The West Virginia House unanimously passed a bill Tuesday to update state parental notification requirements before a minor has an abortion.

Current state law requires abortion clinics to notify the parent or guardian of a girl under 18 at least 24 hours before she has the abortion. However, the law currently allows a doctor or judge to wave the requirement.

The new bill would update the law by limiting those who can wave the parental notification requirement to psychiatrists, licensed psychologists and judges, according to the Associated Press.

The Charleston Gazette-Mail reports legislators also included an amendment to change the penalties for abortionists and others who violate the law. Under current law, violators are subject to criminal penalties. The bill would change this to allow state licensing boards to discipline physicians, according to the report.

Lawmakers said wavers of the parental notification requirement were used four times in 2015 for girls under 18.  The legislation now moves to the state Senate for consideration.

Parental notification and parental consent laws have strong public support; but some states still do not have any requirements for parental involvement in underage girls’ abortions. Currently, 37 states have some type of parental involvement law in a minor’s abortion, according to the Guttmacher Institute.

Five Ways Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers and Clinics Can Save More Babies From Abortion

By Samuel Smith
Christian Post

The president of a national pro-life organization that has saved thousands of babies born to abortion-determined mothers says pro-life health clinics and pregnancy centers are becoming more effective at reaching pregnant mothers and persuading them to choose life.

The Human Coalition, a pro-life group that operates seven women's care clinics throughout the United States and is affiliated with over 35 pro-life pregnancy centers, also operates six "lab-driven" divisions in key "abortion-dense cities" nationwide. The labs continually run various tests to determine the optimal methods and environments that will help make its affiliated pregnancy centers, health clinics and call center more successful when it comes to saving the lives of unborn babies.

As the Human Coalition has saved nearly 6,000 babies from abortion, its president and co-founder, Brian Fisher, was a featured speaker at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C. last week. Fisher outlined a number of ways the Human Coalition and its clinics and affiliates have statistically improved the rate of abortion-determined women being reached by pro-lifers and the number of abortion-determined women who choose to carry their children to birth.

1. Target the abortion-determined marketplace

In order to be most successful, pro-life pregnancy centers and clinics need to directly reach out to the pregnant women who are leaning toward aborting their children. According to Human Coalition statistics, only between 1 and 3 percent of abortion-determined women actually talk to anyone from the pro-life movement before aborting their child.

Fisher asserts that pro-life clinics and centers need to do a better job of penetrating the abortion-determined market.

"While pregnancy centers see a large number of clients, most of them are in the 'undecided' and 'likely to carry' categories," Fisher said. "There is nothing inherently bad or critical about that statement. Those women also need to be served. But my point is that we must also recognize that the abortion-determined woman is unreached and needs to be captured into a pro-life system of care."

Day 3 of our Prayer Campaign for Lisa Pierriera - #onesoulatatime

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. That you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? – Matthew 5:44-46

Our Lord has commanded us to 'love our enemies' and pray for them. Let us pray today for Lisa Pierriera, that the Holy Spirit reveals to her that her evil choices will lead to eternal damnation.  Let us also pray she repent, turn her life around and use her God-given gifts to save lives instead of taking lives.

Heavenly Father, as we come to you today in prayer for Lisa, we ask that you have piety on her. We beseech you to send Your Holy Spirit down upon her, help her to realize that children are a gift from You to be cherished and not killed,  and lead her to Your salvation. Amen.

Interview with Brendan Lyons, author of Single Candles

Brendan Lyons, a native of Downingtown and graduate of Villanova University, wrote a novel and released it last fall called Single Candle, which is a collection of stories of conviction and compassion. Proceeds from the sales sales benefit Birthright of West Chester I had the opportunity to interview him and his book. Below is a Q&A session between me and Brendan.

Q: Background, name origins, education, what got you into writing?

A: My name is Brendan Lyons and I’ve lived in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia my entire life. I am the author of Single Candles, an interconnected collection of pro-life short stories, the proceeds from which go to support Birthright of West Chester. I grew up in Downingtown attending St. Joseph’s church and went to Villanova University to Major in Education. Writing had always interested me, but I didn’t start really working at it until college. At that point in my life, I needed something to pour my thoughts into that was a little more abstract than class assignments, so I started writing a fantasy novel with some accompanying short stories. There wasn’t anything overtly philosophical about those stories in the beginning. I was still evolving and learning to better understand my own convictions.

Q: Was there a phenomenon that prompted you to write for the pro-life cause?

A: It was the passion of people I met who were more involved in the movement. I’ve always been pro-life. I get that from my upbringing – my parents and the church. But I can’t say I ever did much about it other than occasionally argue with friends on the other side of the issue. It wasn’t until I started to meet more people who were active in the pro-life movement that I felt compelled to do something to support it. That is really what Single Candles is about, actually. When people see others actively fighting for what they believe in, it inspires them. So even one person speaking for life – lighting a single candle – can start to change the world and push away the darkness.

Q: How were you able to convey the common message among your testimonies in the book?

A: Well, the stories are sort of a chain of events. Each story sets off the next one, mostly because of the bravery and compassion of one or more of the characters. For example, the first story is about a politician who refuses to go along with his party’s pro-abortion platform – and publicly so. His stand inspires the main character of the second story, a high school senior, to start a pro-life club in her public school. Her stand inspires another and so on. The basic idea is that we need to be boldly prolife, despite any resistance or consequences we face, because especially in the case of abortion, inaction has the most dire consequence of all: the death of innocents.

Q: Have you learned anything in the writing endeavor?

A: Absolutely. First of all, my fiance knows more about character depth and development than I think I ever will. In that vein, I would also add that everyone is better if they have a partner to work with in basically every aspect of life. If that partner is a loving, Godly, and compassionate person then you can’t go wrong.

I would also say I learned how satisfying it is to use your gifts to serve the Lord. In the past, I’ve written for my own needs or in the hope of hitting it big with a novel. But writing something that I believe will please God brings me another level of satisfaction. Add to that raising money for an organization like Birthright, and I just feel blessed to have this opportunity. Honestly, how lucky are we to have a Creator who gives us these opportunities and gifts? If I have any regrets, it’s not having started writing with this mission in mind sooner.

Q: What advice would you offer for aspiring writers who want to engage their readers while evangelizing the culture?

A: If you set your sights in the wrong place, it’s going to feel like an unattainable task. The same goes for if you forget who is really in charge. If you think that YOU are going to change the culture, your head is in the wrong place. Only God can save us and no one else can be everything for everyone. If you want to be a part of changing our world, you have to recognize that you’re just that: one part.

One of the most beautiful aspects of the Catholic faith is how it points us toward community. We are not just individuals under God. We are the body of Christ and every one of us has equal claim to that status. There is neither a person whose contributions are vital, nor a person whose contributions are useless. For Christ, the Pope and the beggar are equal in worth and receive the same amount of love.

Always think of yourself and your work that way. Humility is the key. God will do with you what He knows is best, so view yourself as one part of His plan. If you expect yourself to be some kind of cultural savior, you’re going to be disappointed. There is only one savior: Jesus Christ.

Q: What do you hope to do in your efforts to use your God given talents?

A: I want to inspire people and support those who are on the front lines of protecting life. We need a cultural shift in this country and that means Christians need to take greater ownership of their faith and those who are pro-life need to take greater ownership of the movement. There’s a lot of focus on the politics of it, and that’s fine. I personally believe that I will see a law passed in my lifetime that makes abortion illegal. But that will only do so much good if we haven’t also changed people’s hearts.

So what I want more than anything is for the types of people that my stories are about to be inspired. I want young people to stand up and refuse to be silenced because the Truth they speak might make others uncomfortable. I want people who know mothers in crisis to not just say, ‘you have a choice’, but to be part of the solution to her crisis. I want everyone to recognize that we all have the capacity to make the world better whether we’re nearing the end of our lives or just starting them. And I want pro-life politicians to stare in the face of lobbyists, special interests, and their colleagues and say, ‘no, life comes first’.

Note: I would like to have some mention of what Birthright does in the article. They provide vital services for mothers and children in need that are hard to find other places. In my opinion, places like Birthright are the key to ending abortion. Other means are important, but the more time and energy we spend given women a real choice and real support, the closer we come to ending the horrific practice of abortion.

Churchgoing Jennifer Garner to Fundraise for Planned Parenthood During Live Read of 'Juno'

By Samuel Smith
Christian Post

Churchgoing Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner will be fundraising for the nation's largest abortion provider when she and actress Ellen Page participate in a live reading of the hit 2007 movie "Juno" in early April.

The creators of "Juno," a film about a young teenager faced with an unplanned pregnancy who gives her baby up for adoption instead of choosing abortion, have announced a one night only 10th anniversary live-read on April 8 at the The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles.

The live read will feature Page, who starred as pregnant teen Juno MacGuff; the 44-year-old Garner, who played the adoptive parent of Juno's baby; and an all-female cast who will fill out the rest of the cast and even take on roles originally played by men in the film.

Additionally, the proceeds from the event will go to the benefit of Planned Parenthood, an organization that aborts over 300,000 babies each year and receives over $500 million dollars each year from the federal government.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the film's Oscar-nominated director, Jason Reitman, was inspired to bring back his live script-reading series after putting the series to rest last year because of the 2016 election in which Republican Donald Trump was victorious over the Planned Parenthood-endorsed Hillary Clinton. Trump also maintained through the election that he would be willing to strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding as long as the organization conducts abortions.

Day 2 of the Prayer Campaign for Lisa Perriera #onesoulatatime

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. – 1 Timothy 6:10

It is hard to fathom how those who take an oath to heal can take the God-given gifts they possess and use them to destroy His precious little ones.  Is it because their love of money, blood money, is greater than their love of God?

Let us pray today that God will perform a miracle in the life of  Lisa Perriera and rescue her from satan’s grasp, and that the Light of Christ dispels the darkness in her soul.

Heavenly Father, as we come to you in prayer today, we lift up Lisa and ask that you deliver her from satan's enticements.  Let her use the talents you have given her to save life instead of taking it.  And let your light, Lord Jesus, dispel the darkness of her soul.  Amen.

Newborn Baby Girl Rescued After She Was Buried Alive by Her Parents Who Wanted a Boy

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Discrimination against girls through abortion and infanticide is rampant in India.

This week, the India Times reported another horrifying abuse case where a newborn baby girl allegedly was buried alive by her parents, likely because she was a girl. According to the report, the family already had five older daughters.

Someone rescued the baby girl on Saturday in the Jajpur district of Odisha, India after seeing her feet move above the ground, according to the report. Authorities said the newborn girl immediately was taken to the hospital; her umbilical cord still was attached. None of the reports indicate if charges have been filed against the parents.

Here’s more from The Indian Express:

“An ASHA worker of Anjira panchayat came to the CHC with the rescued baby girl. The newborn is believed to be between 4 and 6 hours old. The girl was in a critical condition. We immediately started her treatment and stabilized her condition,” said Chintamani Mishra, Medical officer of Dharmasala CHC.
“The baby was buried upside down. She was wrapped in a cloth. We found two small feet above the ground and believed that the baby was alive,” said Alok Ranjan Rout, who rescued the infant.
In the past few years, other reports of girls being buried alive by their families also have surfaced in India. In 2012, the BBC reported the father and uncle of a newborn girl were arrested after they allegedly tried to bury the girl alive in Pilkhua, India. In that case, a graveyard caretaker rescued the girl.

African-American Pro-Lifer Tells Trump: ‘No Taxpayer Funding of Abortion’ in Healthcare plan

By Lisa Bourne
Life Site News

An ordinary American citizen negatively affected by Obamacare reminded President Trump recently that taxpayer dollars should not fund abortion and that any civil right is false without the right to life. See video from 13:07 onwards.

“I know from St. John Paul II, he said that all of our human and civil rights that we believe in as Americans — that we share as American, the right to healthcare, the right to medical care, to housing, to all of these different things – are illusory if the right to life isn’t defended with maximum determination,” Louis Brown said during a recent healthcare listening session with Americans hurt by Obamacare.

Brown, a 35-year-old attorney from Virginia, described how he left his job with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in 2009 when the Affordable Care Act was going through Congress because he saw how former President Obama’s signature healthcare law would promote taxpayer-funded abortion.

“I resigned my position because I could tell that the Democratic bill that was going through Congress wanted to publicly fund abortion,” stated Brown, “and that’s not something that I could go along with. So I resigned my position.”

He is now the director for the Christ Medicus Foundation. The Catholic healthcare foundation focuses on building a culture of life, protecting conscience rights and religious liberty in healthcare, opposing public funding of abortion, and fighting discrimination against pro-life medical providers.

Brown also noted as an African American the significant loss of life from abortion among the African-American community.

“Seventeen million African Americans, it’s shown, that probably have been aborted since Roe v. Wade,” he said.

On February 22, 2017, a preborn baby boy became the first person in Ohio to receive heart surgery while still in the womb. His mother, Stephanie Hartman, learned during pregnancy that her son had hypoplastic left-heart syndrome along with a leaky mitral valve.

While doctors usually wait until after birth to perform surgery for hypoplastic left-heat syndrome, the addition of the faulty mitral valve diagnosis meant that the baby would have more difficulty after birth. According to Dr. Aimee Armstrong of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, only 10 percent of babies with similar conditions live beyond six months of age. In utero surgery was his best chance.

“We wanted to do anything we could to help him,” Hartman told The Columbus Dispatch. “Knowing how bad it was, I thought it pretty much was our only hope.”

At 29-weeks gestation, heart surgery was scheduled at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. The baby was given anesthesia, and mom was given an epidural.

A team of surgeons inserted a tiny balloon into the baby’s aortic valve to open it up. It enabled the left ventricle to pump blood and helped to decrease the leak in the mitral valve. It only took five minutes for the doctors to be inside the baby’s heart and the surgery was successful. The baby boy no longer had signs of heart failure.

Week 7: Voices Prayer Campaign for Lisa Perriera, March 26 thru April 2

'winning the war against unborn babies and their mothers one soul at a time'

Abortionist Lisa Perrier
C. S. Lewis said that evil comes from the abuse of free will. God gave us a free will to choose His path to salvation through His Son or satan's path to eternal damnation.

Lisa Pierriera is the focus of our prayers for week 7. She is an abortionist who has chosen to use her free will to kill unborn babies, wound their mothers and even cause a young woman to die from a botched abortion. She is currently performing abortions at the Philadelphia Women's Center. Recently, she spoke out against a PA Senate bill that prohibits abortion after 20 weeks. Read Life News report on her advocacy for late term abortions.

As we pray for Lisa Pierriera this week, let's remember God's great love, mercy and forgiveness toward us for our sinful choices.

When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  Matthew 19:25-26

Suggested Daily Prayers for Lisa Perriera

Day 1  Pray that God sends His followers to share the truth of His salvation.

Day 2  Pray the Light of Christ dispels the darkness in her soul.

Day 3  Pray the Holy Spirit reveals her evil choices will lead to eternal damnation.

Day 4
Pray she will deeply regret harming women through abortion.

Day 5
Pray she will cry out to God for forgiveness in taking the lives of unborn babies.

Day 6
Pray that Jesus' Love will flood her soul and free her from satan's grasp.

Day 7  Pray that she will surrender her life to Jesus Christ, her only hope.

Finally: Pray that her conversion leads her to publicly renounce abortion, confess Christ as her Savior and declare the sacredness of human life.

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

"This is what we are all about…conversion. We will continue to reach out to these men and women in love. Hate doesn’t work. Condemnation doesn’t work. Judgment doesn’t work. The mercy of Christ is what WORKS. Please pray with us....You are making a difference." Abby Johnson, former PP clinic director and founder of 'And Then There Was None'
