Lives in Jeopardy: Abortion Center Security Guard Batters Pro-Life Mom, Drives Drunk

By Karen Myers
Operation Rescue

Wichita, KS - When pro-life mom Jennifer McCoy drove by South Wind Women's Center, an abortion facility in Wichita, Kansas, on July 28, at 9:45 p.m., she thought it was strange that the main gate was open and several employees cars were still present in the parking lot, including the blue pickup truck belonging to security guard Carl Swinney.

Jennifer wondered if a woman had suffered a botched abortion, requiring medical attention. The clinic normally never is open so late.

Jennifer parked, called Mark Gietzen, the local leader of Kansas Coalition for Life who coordinates prayer and sidewalk advocacy on-site, and reported the unusual occurrence to him. Something strange was going on for sure.

While on the phone, Jennifer noticed that an unknown male exited the building and got in his car to leave. Was he a client's friend? A new employee? Medical personnel? Jennifer tried to take a picture as he exited the parking lot, suspecting that a girl was in trouble.

But - whatever was happening inside - moments later, Jennifer herself became a girl in trouble outside.

San Diego, CA - Allyson Smith was appalled by the recent video showing Robert Santella, an abortionist with the Family Planning Associates abortion facility in San Diego, growling in a demonic "freak-out" at another pro-life activist.

In the widely published video, Santella is seen emerging from the abortion facility to confront a pro-life activist. He is heard hissing and growling in a demonic voice as he holds scissors to the pro-lifer's throat while professing that he loves killing babies and that, "I never listen to Christ."

Federal Suit Against Disgraced Abortionist Reveals Dangers of Corners-Cutting Methotrexate Abortions

Bottom-of-the-barrel abortionists use this cheap, ineffective abortion drug to financially exploit poor women at the cost of their safety

Frederick, Maryland - When Christy O'Connell reported to one of Steven Chase Brigham's Maryland abortion facilities on July 26, 2012, she had no idea how that visit would alter her life.

According to court documents obtained by Operation Rescue, O'Connell's experiences with Brigham's notoriously shoddy abortion businesses resulted in the filing of three Federal Court lawsuits against Brigham and his medical director, Vikram Kaji, and two other abortionists then in his employment, Iris Dominy, and Mansour Panah.

It began in June 2012, when O'Connell first discovered that she was pregnant. A visit to her primary care provider on July 16, 2012, confirmed her pregnancy though a blood pregnancy test and a vaginal ultrasound, which determined that her baby was 8 weeks, 2 days (58 days) gestation.

Ten days later, on July 26, 2012, O'Connell reported to one of Brigham's "American Women's Services" abortion facilities in Frederick, Maryland.

Unqualified Abortionist Rejected from Licensure in Indiana

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

South Bend, IN - An abortionist who applied for a medical license in Indiana earlier this year has had his application closed because he does not meet the qualifications for licensure in Indiana.

Kissel's Indiana application was rejected because he did not achieve a high enough FLEX score on an examination that needed to be passed in order to qualify for licensure in the United States. The FLEX exam has since been replaced by the USMLE three-step exam.

"According to your Flex exam scores report, you did not obtain an average weighted score of 75. Please consider your application of licensure closed as you do not meet our examination requirements," stated a letter to Kissel from the Professional Licensing Agency dated December 1, 2015.

Brigham Quietly Reopens Maryland Abortion Clinic Where Patient Died

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Baltimore, Maryland - Operation Rescue has learned that the disgraced New Jersey abortionist Steven Chase Brigham has flown the under the regulatory radar to reopen three Maryland abortion clinics that were shut down by the state in 2013 for dangerous abortion practices, including the death of one patient.

Undercover phone calls confirmed that abortions were being scheduled for his Baltimore, Silver Springs, and Cheverly locations, which are still advertised on his American Women's Services website.

In order to avoid having to re-license his abortion clinics, Brigham's Maryland locations are offering only medication abortions. Facility licenses and inspections are only required if surgical abortions are conducted.

"Right now, Brigham is profiting from medication abortions at three abortion clinics that the State of Maryland said were too dangerous to operate," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "By restricting abortions to those done by pills or injections, Brigham can operate without oversight, without inspections, and without any accountability. This is a recipe for disaster for the women who are duped into thinking he is running legitimate medical offices. There is nothing legitimate about Brigham's medical or business practices, as his record of abortion abuses proves."
