Court Protects 32-Week-Old Unborn Baby Conceived in Rape From Being Killed in Abortion

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

The Supreme Court of India has spared a late-term unborn baby and its 10-year-old mother, a rape victim, from abortion.

The young girl’s family is yet another this year to petition the Asian country’s high court for an exception to the late-term abortion ban. In the most recent case, the 10-year-old girl became pregnant after she allegedly was raped by her uncle, the Deccan Herald reports.

Abortions are illegal after 20 weeks of pregnancy in India. However, women increasingly have been petitioning the high court for permission to abort their late-term unborn babies because of fetal abnormalities. Some families of young rape victims also have made requests to the high court.

The young girl from Punjab is 32 weeks pregnant with her unborn child, and doctors who examined her said it is in her best interest to give birth to the child, according to Channel News Asia. This week, the high court agreed.

Here’s more from the report:

The Supreme Court judges said they cannot allow a termination because the medical report suggested it was “neither good for the mother nor the foetus”.

The girl, who has not been named, was allegedly raped several times by an uncle. He has been arrested for multiple rape.

The pregnancy was only discovered recently after her parents took her to hospital complaining of stomach pain. The parents then approached the courts to allow an abortion.

Their initial plea at a local court was declined over similar safety fears. The family challenged the ruling at the Supreme Court.

Lawyer for the girl’s family Alakh Srivastava told the Daily Trust the court also ordered that the girl and her baby be provided with “the best possible medical facilities.”

Record-Breaking Swimmer: ‘Down Syndrome is a Life Worth Saying Yes To’

By Nancy Flanders
Live Action News

Karen Gaffney isn’t your average person — but it isn’t her diagnosis of Down syndrome that differentiates her. It’s her accomplishments.

As part of a relay team, Gaffney swam the English Channel, making her the first person with Down syndrome to do so. She swam nine miles across Lake Tahoe. She is the president of her own non-profit organization.

She has received numerous awards and was an official Olympic torch relay torchbearer. All of this was made possible because her parents said no to institutionalizing her, instead doing all they could to give her an equal education to her peers.

Gaffney recently spoke in Ireland at the Save the 8th rally (a rally in favor of preserving Ireland’s 8th amendment protecting preborn children); prior to this, in 2015, she gave a Ted Talk about how life with Down syndrome is a life worth living.
“I wonder what comes to mind when you think of our tomorrows, the tomorrows of people with Down syndrome,” Gaffney asks the crowd. “Some of you may be thinking, ‘Is there a tomorrow for people like us?’ Given what is happening in a world of prenatal testing, anyone would question that.”
Prenatal testing for Down syndrome has advanced quickly in recent years, and a blood test can now determine if a preborn child has a risk of Down syndrome. Despite the inaccuracy of this noninvasive test, many people are so frightened of having children who may have different learning capabilities that they abort their children even without knowing with certainty that they have Down syndrome.

Gaffney shares the story of her fifth-grade teacher. It was the first year of teaching for her and she didn’t know anything about Down syndrome. The two grew close and are still in touch today. One day, that teacher called her to ask for Gaffney’s help.
“She needed my help because her baby would be born with Down syndrome,” explained Gaffney. “The diagnosis came very early in her pregnancy. She pushed back on any discussion of termination because she knew Down syndrome from a completely different perspective than her doctor did. She taught him about one of her fifth-grade students. Me.”

Genetic “Counselor” Prevents Abortion Minded Women From Seeing Sonograms

By Sarah Terzo
National Right to Life

Genetic “counselors” are medical personnel that walk women and their partners though testing (usually amniocentesis) to see if their unborn babies have a genetic illness or disability.

If a woman is at risk for having a baby with a disability, or if they already know that they are pregnant with one, these genetic counselors are supposed to be unbiased in helping them decide whether or not to abort. In reality, there are subtle ways that this type of “counselor” can influence a woman’s decision.

From one genetic counselor [Felicia Arcana]:
As a counselor, I consider it my job to accompany my patients to everything. The sonographer here at City is a right to lifer. When he knows someone has a positive diagnosis, that they are going to abort, he hands them a photo of the fetus. Imagine being forced to take it, to take that picture, when you know the pregnancy is Down’s, you know you’re going to abort!
Abortion proponents and providers know the power of ultrasound, and many of them have the desire to shield women from seeing the truth about their unborn babies. Clearly, this activist doesn’t want the woman to be swayed against abortion.

One might think that a woman would want (and a medical professional provide) every single bit of information she can get about her own body and her pregnancy that affects her health and future. But abortion proponents encourage women to make these decisions without seeing their babies on an ultrasound and knowing the development of their child.

Even if a woman is reluctant to see an ultrasound of her baby, what happens when years down the line she becomes pregnant again, sees that ultrasound, and realizes that the “product of conception/tissue/collection of cells” that she aborted has a face and hands, and little arms and legs?

Afaxys Caught in Dealings with Planned Parenthood Execs and Abortionists!

By Jim Sedlak, Vice President, American Life League
STOPP International

Our investigation of Afaxys and Planned Parenthood continues to reveal deep-seated connections and cooperation between the two organizations.

As we prepare our next major report, we bring you just a few examples of the links between Planned Parenthood people and Afaxys. The first of these examples includes both a current and a former PP medical director at Planned Parenthood affiliates who now have medical roles with Afaxys. John Stutsman, MD, medical director of Planned Parenthood Indiana and Kentucky, is a member of the Afaxys Medical Advisory Board. And Cheryl Gibson, MD, chief medical officer and head of Medical and Regulatory Affairs at Afaxys, was the former medical director of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.

In addition, Afaxys gave funding (mostly speaking honoraria) to a number of Planned Parenthood executives and abortionists (PP abortionists verified through AbortionDocs.org). These include:
  • Mary Gatter, MD – the infamous “Lamborghini” Planned Parenthood executive from the CMP videos, who was the medical director of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles before moving to the same position at the Pasadena affiliate and who was then elected president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Medical Directors’ Council. As medical director at PPLA, Gatter oversaw the affiliate’s partnership with Novogenix Laboratories, LLC, a local for-profit fetal organ and tissue harvesting company.

The purpose of STOPP International is really quite simple. We intend to cause such discontent with Planned Parenthood programs that it will have no choice but to close its doors and get out of town! That doesn't seem like too much to ask of an organization that has been ruthlessly attacking our children for years-abusing them in the womb and in the classroom.  For more information, please use this link.

U.S. Warned: U.N. Could Spur Charlie Gard Death Cases in America

By Michael Haverluck
One News Now

Right before the tragic death of 11-month-old Charlie Gard in a United Kingdom hospice Friday, a sober warning was issued to President Donald Trump by a group of parental rights legal experts – alerting him that United Nations policies could soon sway court rulings in the United States … effectively sentencing terminally ill children to an early death.

The day after a U.K. judge made the final ruling that Charlie Gard was to be moved to a hospice to live his last day(s) – rejecting his parents’ request to let him spend the last days of his life with them at home – he died.
“The decision came after a hospital – and the courts all the way up to the European Court of Human Rights – decided Charlie would be better off dead,” WND reported.
“His parents gave up their court fight to move him to America for an experimental treatment this week when they were told that the time used by the hospital’s court fight – many months – consumed all of the time during which the treatment might have helped their son.”
Parents and President Beware

After examining at the rationale and influence behind the tragic decision, the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is pleading with Trump to break America free from the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, as the Christian legal experts on parental rights warned that the such legislation strips away the ability of parents to decide what is best for their children – essentially handing it over to the government.
“The Charlie Gard situation highlights the stark difference between our national values and those of internationalists who believe that government bureaucrats and the courts should decide how children should be raised – and even whether a life is worth living,” HSLDA attorneys explained in their letter to the White House, noting that the Clinton administration signed the convention, but Senate never signed it.
“[The international strategy] elevates government bureaucrats over parents in deciding what is in a child’s ‘best interests.’ It is this same standard that has enabled bureaucrats and courts in the United Kingdom to overrule the wishes of Charlie Gard’s own parents.”
HSLDA is fearful that the U.N. convention will not only have the effect of stripping away America’s sovereignty as a nation, but undermine parental rights in numerous areas – including a parent’s right to teach his or her own children.

Liberty University Student Raising Funds To Change Pro-Choice Minds With Film Project

By Amanda Read
Live Action News

When dealing with a topic that is as life-and-death as abortion, due to the emotional nature of the topic, sometimes arguments can get heated on both sides. Liberty University senior Timothy Stam believes that heated arguments can adversely affect individuals who are pro-choice or apathetic towards abortion, and has decided to utilize the power of the parable with them in mind. The result is his senior thesis film: The Chance of a Lifetime.

“The heart and soul behind this film is not only the idea that the unborn deserve a chance to live a lifetime,” Stam says in a video on the film’s Indiegogo page, “but also that the lives of those who support abortion are just as valuable and important as those of the unborn.”

The story follows abortion facility counselor Jenny Howard (Stacey Bradshaw, Wanted), who believes firmly in her mission of helping women to get abortions, but then has her worldview challenged by an unlikely source – her inquisitive, innocent, young son.

Twenty-one year old filmmaker and Liberty University senior Timothy Stam (Source: YouTube).
“I had the chance to talk to a parent of a child who learned about abortion because of his questions about the 2016 presidential election and differences between positions,” Stam told Live Action News via Facebook message regarding his research for the film.

“When his parents explained in simple, non-graphic terms what abortion was, it was quite traumatic for him. He kept saying ‘That’s not right’ over and over again while in tears. While I had already come up with the basic story plot, this helped me to consider the innocence of little children, and how they often see things more clearly and purely than a lot of us adults do, and implement that concept into my film.”

Stam also studied the experiences of abortion facility workers who became pro-life, along with the experiences of multiple women who had “both negative and positive post-abortive reactions.” Additionally, Stam says he “engaged in discussion with pro-choice activists, as well as read pro-abortion resources to get inside the logic, reasoning, and feelings of the pro-choice community.”
“My hope for this film is that it will have an actual impact on people who are pro-choice or on the fence, and cause them to question their own beliefs and reasoning,” Stam explained to Live Action News.
“That’s why I chose to make the main protagonist an abortion clinic counselor. I want to reach out to people who are pro-choice and humanize them, value them, even present them in a way they would want to be presented, and yet show them the honest and ugly truth about what abortion really is.”

Planned Parenthood Rep: ‘No Good’ Just Throwing Away Aborted Babies

By Katie Yoder
News Busters

It’s standard operating procedure: the liberal media consistently censor or twist coverage of the undercover Planned Parenthood videos. That’s why, as new footage emerges, it’s critical for American citizens to watch it for themselves.

In light of recent attempts by Congress to defund Planned Parenthood, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released a new video Thursday of a Planned Parenthood medical director revealing late-term “dismemberment” and partial-birth abortion protocols.

CMP first made headlines in 2015, when the self-described “group of citizen journalists” began publishing videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s harvesting of aborted baby parts in the name of science. Because, as the Planned Parenthood official admitted in this latest video, "no good" comes from just disposing of them.

The new footage, never before released, showed CMP representatives, posing as fetal-tissue buyers, speaking with Dr. Suzie Prabhakaran, the vice president of medical affairs for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida.

Because Prabhakaran’s affiliate aborted babies only up to 16 weeks, she advised CMP to speak with the Orlando affiliate, which her affiliate was currently merging with, because it performed abortions past 22 weeks.

Prabhakaran emphasized that her affiliate didn’t abort “many” 16-week-old babies – “probably like one” per week. In all, she added, her affiliate performed 5,000 abortions per year among five health centers.

For their abortion “procedures,” both she and Orlando abortionists are trained to not use digoxin, a feticidal chemical that stops unborn babies’ “cardiac activity” before it’s taken from the womb.

Charlie Gard Dies After Life Support is Switched Off: Mother Says “Our Beautiful Boy is Gone”

By Steven Ertelt
Live News

Charlie Gard has passed away after his life support was switched off today. His parents said in a post on social media that “our beautiful boy” is gone.

Charlie was at the center of a massive international debate after the hospital where he was receiving treatment for a rare disease refused to allow an experimental treatment to help him and also refused transferring him to another hospital that would allow the treatment.

Charlie’s parents took their fight to numerous courts to protect his life but to no avail. Each of the courts and a British judge argued that it was in Charlie’s best interest to be removed from the life support.

Charlie’s mother, Connie, said: “Our beautiful little boy has gone, we are so proud of you Charlie.”

Leading pro-life advocates mourned Charlie’s deathsaying it’s a very concerning harbinger of things to come.

The boy suffers from a rare mitochondrial disease and brain damage. On Thursday, a judge ruled that Charlie will be taken to hospice to die, rather than home as his parents requested.

On Monday, Connie Yates and Chris Gard decided to end the legal battle to get their son experimental treatment. Based on new evidence, the couple said Charlie’s condition has deteriorated too much and there no longer is any hope of the experimental treatment working.

His parents and Great Ormond Street Hospital have been in a months-long legal battle over his treatment. Their final request to a judge this week was to be allowed to take Charlie home to die.

On Thursday, a judge ruled that Charlie will be moved to hospice and his life support will be removed at a time not publicly disclosed. He will not be allowed to go home, as his parents wished.

Charlie’s parents have long expressed the desire to be allowed to take him home to die. However, their first choice was to take Charlie to the United States for an experimental treatment. They raised more than $1.5 million for his medical care.

In the Middle of the Abortion Killing Her Twins She Changed Her Mind, Miraculously Her Babies Survived

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Almost two years ago, Samantha nearly destroyed the lives of her unborn twins in an abortion. A college student at the time, Samantha (not her real name) said she took the abortion drug RU-486 and quickly regretted it. The Pennsylvania woman shared her story recently with ABC 27 News.
Samantha has two healthy 1-year-old twins today, thanks to doctors who treated her with an innovative new abortion pill reversal procedure.
“I’m very happy I made the choice I did to continue the pregnancy,” Samantha said.
Samantha said she took the abortion drugs before knowing she was pregnant with twins. Immediately after she swallowed them, she said she regretted her decision.

Desperate to find out if she could reverse the drugs, she said she searched online for answers. She stumbled upon a hotline, possibly through AbortionPillReversal.com, and called the number.
Here’s more from the report:

Samantha called Hope Within, a community health center in Elizabethtown.
Hope Within offers free primary care services to those in need. Doctor’s used progesterone the hormone that sustains a pregnancy to reverse the drugs that induce an abortion.
“If we can inject large doses of progesterone into a woman that can overcome that blocking effect RU 486 such it prevents the detachment of the embryo from the wall of the uterus,” explained Dr. Eric Hussar with Hope Within Community Health Center.
Dr. Hussar says a woman must act fast, getting progesterone within 24 hours of taking RU 486.

Samantha said the reversal treatment worked, and she later found out she was having twins – a boy and a girl. The twins are 1 year old now and healthy, and their mother is happy that they are alive.

AbortionPillReversal.com has a network of more than 300 doctors across the world who know how to give the abortion reversal treatment to women.

Cathedral Parish Hosts Drs. Ruberu and Larraui and NaPro Roadshow

 Barbara Rose delivers opening remarks

Presenters listen in on Dr. Monique Ruberu

In a way to raise awareness of Natural Family Planning, the cathedral parish hosts two extraordinary doctors, Monique Ruberu and Delia Larraui.

Fifty-four people, some who have never heard of it, learned firsthand what it entails. One group were downstairs for the English presentation, while another went upstairs They were introduced to a video entitled NaPro: The Quiet Revolution. In the documentary, produced by Blackfriar Media.

In the documentary, one doctor, Dr. Anne Nolte, formerly of St. Francis Xavier Church, now a doctor for the Gianna Center in New York.  In it she tells us that NaPro is quietly helping women make better decisions with their fertility without the use of chemicals.

In her opening remarks, Barbara Rose, member of FertilityCare and Immaculate Conception parish in Jenkintown, stresses that “NaPro Technology is the solution to the problems we have in today’s society.”

One way NaPro is different is the focus on natural birth regulation. It is taught not just to married women but also single women. Women can chart and evaluate gynecologic health. It is different from birth control because it is free and is beneficial to the body.

Dr. Monique Ruberu, an OBGYN for Holy Redeemer, went on to share her experience as a medical professional. She admitted that in her early career prescribed contraception, yet she later converted and began promoting NaPro because it is “counter cultural”. She outlines more of it in her book “Rising with Roses”, which can be purchased through amazon.

Today she describes herself as “daughter of Christ the King” and a doctor who wants to “nurture and protect life”.

Not only did viewers watch the documentary and listen to the presenters, they also had an opportunity to ask questions.

Action Update: Waco Abortion Schedule, Overpass Outreach, Second Sunday & more

from John Pisciotta, Director
Pro-Life Waco

Jesus said to his disciples, “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? Mark 4:21

1. We know the days when babies will die in Waco

We must faithfully response to the difficult realities in our community. Earlier this month, we learned the identity of the Waco Planned Parenthood abortionist: Nicola Louise Moore, the circuit-rider abortionist from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Now Planned Parenthood has revealed on its web site the hours that abortionist Moore will be in Waco to extinguish the defenseless lives of Texas babies. As you see below abortion days will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. This tragic news is diminished slightly by the fact that the schedule is on alternating weeks.

There will be no abortions this week. However, the devastation of abortion will be administered on August 2, 3, & 4. I ask you to make an appointment with God for you to be at the sidewalk of 1121 Ross Ave. in pray for at least 15 minutes on one of these days. Care Net's SOS sonogram van will be on-site during these days. Likewise, we will have sidewalk counselors to engage abortion-minded moms, their husbands or boyfriends, other friends, and the baby’s grandparents who may be off also be involved in the planned abortion. If you cannot be on-site, please pray fervently on those days or any other days that moms will be guided to a decision for life for babies and to step away from personal anguish. You may also pray that you will not step away from the challenge of living in or near one of just 8 Texas baby holocaust cities.

2. Overpass outreach

With just a short drive and walk, Waco area pro-lifers proclaim the Gospel of Life to travelers from far and wide: this Saturday, July 29.

Let’s seize the opportunity and enjoy being with our friends. Just drive to the end of South 8th Street and be a part of the Interstate 35 pedestrian overpass outreach. Saturday, July 29, from 10 AM to noon at the overpass near Baylor. We have strong G-rated messages on our signs. However, the strongest message is our personal witness showing that Waco and Texas stand up for innocent preborn life and I-35 traveler should too. Park near Panera Bread (1000 S. 8th Street). There is plenty of street parking available.

3. Second Sunday, August 13

I will have to cook a lot for this one.

Wow! For our Second Sunday Gathering August 13, our guest speaker will be the Reverend Stephen Broden, Senior Pastor of Fair Park Bible Fellowship in Dallas. The title of his presentation will be, “Abortion, Eugenics, and the Black Community.” Here is a link to a color PDF file you can use to flyer promote Rev. Broden’s visit to Waco. Forward to your friends. Share on social media. Print and give the flyer to your friends. This is what you will find on the PDF file.

Here is a biographical sketch for Pastor Broden.

  • Fair Park Bible Fellowship, Founding and Senior Pastor
  • Non-denominational inner-city church in Dallas
  • Protect Life and Marriage Texas, President
  • President of Fair Park Friendship Center
  • Founder of National Black Pro-Life Coalition
  • A guest on numbers local and national radio and television programs including The Glenn Beck show, The Huckabee Show, and Fox and Friends.
  • Career in business and broadcasting before entering ministry
  • Married to Donna Broden with two daughters and one son.

4. A difficult and expensive week for "Carolyn" the pro-life billboard truck

Last Thursday, the smog suppression module on the billboard truck froze up. We had to have Carolyn towed for the repair which set Pro-Life Waco back $631.

Carolyn the billboard truck has been such an asset to the pro-life cause in Central Texas and continues to be so in her senior years. Even though personal work and prayer are the most important resources for pro-life outreach, we must be attentive to our financial condition. I ask you to consider absorbing all or half the cost of this repair into your personal stewardship. You can make a one-time, tax-deductible donation to Pro-Life Waco at by clicking here or send a check to, PLW, PO Box 7771, Waco, TX, 76714.

5. JP’s Letter to the Editor of the Waco Tribune

Today I sent a Letter to the Editor of the Waco Tribune-Herald with a focus of Cecile Richards and making the case that Planned Parenthood should not receive any government financial support. The letter is below. You may or may not know that Cecile, the nearly $1 million a year CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, was born in Waco, Texas at Hillcrest Hospital on July 15, 1957. Cecile Richards is 60 years old. Her mother, former Gov. Ann Richards, chose life for Cecile. You may also know that Cecile Richards accepted her first three children into her family. However, she and her husband decided to provide "abortion care" to their fourth child.

Letter to the Editor

“If you’re not pissing someone off, you’re probably not doing your job.” These words were expressed by which of the following?
A. A Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
B. An all-pro middle linebacker in the NFL.
C. An MSNBC television program host.
D. An executive of a healthcare organization.
The correct answer is “D.” The person was not the CEO of the Waco-based Family Health Center. Rather these words came from Waco-born Cecile Richards, the CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The remark was quoted in an interview with the liberal women’s blog, The Cut.
The quote indicated that Planned Parenthood is something other than a healthcare organization. You would be shocked if the CEO of the Family Health Center or Providence Hospital spoke this way to the public.
What gives? Among other things, Planned Parenthood’s mission is social transformation. Using its 501c4 political action status, Planned Parenthood is out to convince citizens of such ideas as “abortion on demand is social justice” and “gender is not determined by genetics or genitals.”
This is one more reason why Planned Parenthood should not receive a dime of government funding. Planned Parenthood is truly an arm of the Democratic Party. When Planned Parenthood the organization can reach out to philanthropists, such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, who have and will step up to support the Planned Parenthood view of human reality and social justice.

Pro-Life Waco is a local community-based organization with collaborative relationships with regional and national pro-life affiliations. Pro-Life Waco is committed to ending abortion, its damaging effects among women, and promoting chastity.  For more information on Pro-Life Waco, please use this link.

Honoring Pro-Life Leaders And Volunteers Who Have Passed Away

Mr. Emil Ogden

By Shawn Carney, President
40 Days for Life

This fall, 40 Days for Life turns 10 years old as a national and international movement. This campaign started in College Station, Texas and has now gone to 715 cities in 44 countries.

Today we honor those leaders and volunteers who have passed away from this life after working so hard to save unborn children from abortion.

This week we lost one who, behind the scenes, made 40 Days for Life a reality -- my friend Mr. Emil Ogden.

If you have seen God use 40 Days for Life where you live, it is because God used Mr. Ogden to get this effort off the ground. He was a firm believer in that first campaign in his hometown of College Station.

When I asked Mr. Ogden for the seed money to help launch 40 Days for Life nationally, he responded by saying, "I have a good feeling about this."

He gave the first donation to 40 Days for Life ... and it was more than he had originally pledged, because he believed that local people wanted to end the injustice of abortion where they live.

Mr. Ogden represents so many of the wonderful people that pray and work to end abortion where they live. He also represents the generation that fought in World War II -- we lose many of them every month. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 69 years, Clementine, and his six children, 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was pro-life to the core ... and today we highlight his life, which was behind the scenes, but it impacted the world. Mr. Ogden was involved in many things, but his heart was with the unborn -- and that is seen in the 13,305 babies we have seen saved from abortion through 40 Days for Life campaigns.

Mr. Ogden never retired and he did a lot in his later years, including finishing college. He is an example that we should spend all of our days speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Let his life be an inspiration to you as we enter one of the largest 40 Days for Life campaigns ever on September 27. Your prayers and efforts are often behind the scenes -- and that is precisely what God will use to end abortion.

For life,

Shawn Carney
President, 40 Days for Life

Couple Told Their Baby Miscarried And An Abortion Was Needed Are Shocked To Find Their Baby Alive

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Heartbreak turned to utter surprise for a British couple when a hospital discovered that their supposedly miscarried unborn baby was still alive.

Elizabeth Stevens, 36, said the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel recently told her that her unborn baby had miscarried, the Daily Mail reports. She was bleeding early in her pregnancy, and doctors determined that she had lost her unborn child.

Doctors referred her for a surgical abortion procedure to remove her dead baby’s body from her womb, Stevens said. But when the hospital postponed Stevens’ surgery because of an emergency situation, she called another hospital to ask if they would perform it, the report states. The Queen’s Hospital in Essex agreed.

Then, a miracle happened. The second hospital discovered that Stevens’ unborn baby was not dead. The Sun reports Queen’s Hospital staff detected a faint heartbeat coming from inside her womb – bringing renewed hope to Stevens and her partner.

Here’s more from the report:

They told Ms Stevens that she had choriodecidual haematoma, which is why she was bleeding. Now the couple, who are from Benfleet in Essex, are demanding answers from the Royal London Hospital.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Mr Fowler said:
"How can they get it so completely wrong? They nearly killed my unborn baby. Royal London was about to remove a perfectly healthy baby. I want an explanation."
Stevens currently is seven weeks pregnant. Her unborn baby appears to be ok. She said she and her partner filed a complaint against the London hospital.
“It’s a lot to take in, one doctor says it’s not fine, and the other one says it’s fine,” Stevens said.

Former Abortion Workers Reveal How They Helped Teens Get Abortions Without Parents’ Knowledge

By Sarah Terzo
Live Action News

Former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson and the organization And Then There Were None, which Johnson created to help abortion workers leave the industry, held a webcast with former abortion workers on December 21, 2016.

In this webcast, the workers discussed ways in which their facilities put women at risk. For example, one abortion worker described how her facility never called an ambulance when women were hurt. The directors of the facility did not want to scare the other patients or let pro-lifers to get pictures of ambulances outside their doors. The webcast also covered ways abortion facilities are able to evade regulations.

At one point in the 2016 webcast, Abby Johnson and former abortion worker Margo discussed how minors are able to get abortions without their parents’ knowledge even in states that have parental notification or consent laws.

When parental notification/consent laws were found constitutional by the Supreme Court in 1990 in Hodgson v. Minnesota, a requirement was put forth by the court. Teens who did not want to notify their parents had to be given the option of a judicial bypass.

A judicial bypass process requires a pregnant minor to go before a judge and convince him/her that she is mature enough to make her own decision about abortion or, failing that, that abortion is in her best interest. The judge is supposed to weigh the facts of the case and make a decision. In reality, the hearings are often a rubber stamp process.

As Abby Johnson says:
[I]n states where it is the judicial [bypass], we know that those are just rubber stamped for these young women. So what that means is that a 13-year-old girl could go and see a judge in a secret court proceeding where her parents will never know she’s having an abortion. The school counselor can take her one day, her parents could drop her off at school, the school counselor or school nurse could take her to the abortion clinic where she would have the abortion.
The school counselor or nurse [would take her] back to school where her parents would pick her up at 3:30 in the afternoon, and the parents would have absolutely no idea that their grandchild had just been killed in the name of choice. They would have no idea that their little girl was just lying on a surgical exam room table having a very invasive surgical procedure.
That is the reality of abortion law in the United States. …. The judges just stamp it and say approved and these women go in to have an abortion….and they don’t have any parental involvement.
Margot explained that her abortion facility helped arrange judicial bypass hearings for minors who came to them. She says:
I do not believe that any of the minors who came to our clinic seeking help to get the judicial bypass were ever declined.

Canadian Law Says a Baby Doesn’t Become a Human Being Until She is Outside Her Mother’s Body

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Canada is one of the worst countries in the world for protecting unborn babies’ rights.

A recent assault of a pregnant women and her unborn baby in Montreal is drawing attention to the poor legal protections in the country. Fortunately, in the most recent case, the baby will be protected under the law because he or she was born alive after the attack. Reports do not indicate the baby’s sex.

CBC reports the baby’s mother, Raja Ghazi, was between seven and eight months pregnant on Monday when she was stabbed – allegedly by her husband, Sofiane Ghazi, 37 – in the neighborhood of Montreal North. According to police, she was taken to the hospital where her baby was delivered by C-section. A few hours later, the baby died, the report states.

Because the baby was born alive, Sofiane Ghazi has been charged with first-degree murder of the child, as well as attempted murder of his wife and other charges, according to the report.

Here’s more from the report:
Under Canada’s Criminal Code, “a child becomes a human being … when it has completely proceeded, in a living state, from the body of its mother, whether or not (a) it has breathed; (b) it has an independent circulation; or (c) the navel string is severed.”
“So, if the child was alive, even for a moment, outside the child’s mother’s body, it would be considered a legal person such that you could be charged with murdering that child if the child didn’t survive,” said Toronto-based lawyer Daniel Brown, a specialist in criminal law.
The legal situation really comes down to abortion activists’ agenda; they readily admit that they do not want any rights to be given to babies before birth, no matter how far along in the womb they are and no matter whether their mother has them killed in an abortion or someone else commits violence against them and their mother.

Abortion is legal for any reason up until birth in Canada, and a fetal homicide law, like the ones most states have in America, could cause more Canadians to question these laws. Abortion activists do not want that.

Trump: Pro-Abortion Lisa Murkowski, Who Opposed Defunding Planned Parenthood, “Really Let Down the Nation”

Sen. Lisa Murkowski fired back Wednesday saying she was more concerned with governing than reelection after President Trump targeted her on Twitter over her healthcare votes.

“Every day shouldn’t be about winning elections,” she said. “How about just doing a little bit of governing around here. That’s what I’m here for.”
Trump said the senator from Alaska “really let the Republicans, and our country, down … too bad!”

The crowd in Ohio was amazing last night - broke all records. We all had a great time in a great State. Will be back soon!
Senator @lisamurkowski of the Great State of Alaska really let the Republicans, and our country, down yesterday. Too bad!

Murkowski voted against the motion to allow debate on healthcare legislation Tuesday, saying she believes healthcare reform “should go through the committee process where stakeholders can weigh in and ideas can be vetted in a bipartisan forum.”
“I voted ‘no’ today to give the Senate another chance to take this to the committee process,” she added. “I still believe that’s the best route, but we will now have this debate on the open floor. We all recognize that we have much work to do to address the healthcare concerns in this country.”
She also voted against a repeal and replacement procedure later Tuesday.
Any concerns about reelection in 2022 are not on her mind, she said.

“Quite honestly, I don’t think it’s wise to be operating on a daily basis thinking about what, a statement or a response, that causes you to be fearful of your electoral prospects,” she explained. “We’re here to govern. We’re here to legislate. We’re here to represent the people that sent us here,” she said.
