Franklin Graham Slams Religious Leaders Blessing an Abortion Clinic: “That’s Like Blessing Auschwitz”

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Evangelical Christian leader Franklin Graham boldly condemned pastors this week who are leading a “blessing” of a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Ohio.

Graham compared the religious service to pastors standing outside a Nazi concentration camp and “blessing the murder of innocent Jews,” CNS News reports.

The sacrilegious “blessing” will take place Nov. 9 at the Planned Parenthood in Columbus, Ohio where unborn babies are legally killed in abortions. The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice is organizing it.

Graham, the son of the late Rev. Billy Graham, responded to news of the event in a Facebook post Oct. 29.
“Shame on these so-called faith leaders who are ‘blessing’ an abortion clinic. Can you believe that? In reality, they are ‘blessing’ murder,” he wrote. “They are blessing actions that are against the laws of God.”
“That would be like priests standing outside the gas chambers at Auschwitz and blessing the murder of innocent Jews. Such evil,” Graham continued.
Planned Parenthood’s annual reports indicate it is the largest abortion provider in the United States. Every year, about 320,000 unborn babies are aborted at Planned Parenthood facilities.

Graham said religious leaders who support its destructive abortion practices are the false teachers who the Apostle Paul preached about in the Bible.
“Many times the Apostle Paul spoke out against false teachers who uttered lies,” he wrote. “And leading people to believe that murdering babies is something God would condone is an outright lie and could ultimately lead them to Hell.
“The Word of God says, ‘Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness…’ (Isaiah 5:20),” Graham wrote.
The pro-abortion “blessing” service appears to be a response to the closing ceremony of the 40 Days for Life campaign. The event is called “Holy Ground: Blessing the Sacred Space of Decision.”

An event description reads:

During this clinic blessing, participants will gather with local faith leaders and guests to ask for God’s blessing upon Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio’s East Columbus Surgical facility, the abortion providers and staff, and all those who pass through the center.

In celebration of conscience and moral decision making, this event will include interfaith blessings, prayers, and testimonies about receiving and providing abortion care. This clinic blessing will create space for progressive voices of faith to speak boldly in support of comprehensive reproductive health care, especially abortion.

This is not the first time religious leaders will have blessed an abortion clinic. It is a practice that has occurred with more regularity in recent years.

Rev. Franklin Graham: ‘Abortion is the Killing of a Child in the Womb’

“Far too many people who want to be governors, legislators, professors, and teachers in this nation have fallen prey to a culture of death philosophy. They are denying the worth of millions of children made in the image of God.”

Last week, evangelist Franklin Graham, son of the late Billy Graham, used his public platform to speak in defense of the preborn. Graham wrote in a statement on Facebook, “An abortion is the killing of a child in the womb, intentionally ending a life.”

Graham’s post was in response to comments by Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Tony Evers comparing abortions to tonsillectomies, and suggesting that the former should be funded by taxpayers through Medicaid.

Evers, who is pro-choice, told the Weekly Standard,
“We need to have the Medicaid money be available for all people and restricting it because of a certain procedure, whether it’s a tonsillectomy or any other procedure, seems to me a foolhardy thing to do.”
Under current Wisconsin law, Medicaid cannot directly fund abortions, as is the case with most states. Under the Hyde Amendment, federal funds are also banned from directly paying for elective abortions.

Graham called Evers position “unbelievable,” and added,
“Taxpayers paying for tonsil removal is not at all the same as paying for an abortion.”
Pro-choice advocates have made claims similar to Evers’, suggesting that abortion is just like any form of surgery. Some legislators have even filed grotesque “satirical” bills supposedly to show how “unnecessary” and “invasive” pro-life laws are for women. With these publicity stunts, politicians attempt to argue that abortion should not require any unique regulation because abortion is simply a medical procedure.

In these impassioned defenses of euphemisms—“reproductive rights,” “terminating a pregnancy”—there is never any mention of the preborn baby. The presence of a unique, living human being with a beating heart is what makes abortion unlike any medical procedure. While medical care aims to preserve and restore health, abortion aims to kill a child in the womb, which is never necessary to save the life of the mother.

Graham points to this undeniable reality of preborn life in his Facebook post. In closing he wrote,
“Far too many people who want to be governors, legislators, professors, and teachers in this nation have fallen prey to a culture of death philosophy. They are denying the worth of millions of children made in the image of God.”
This is not the first time Graham has made a pro-life statement on his social media. Following the U.S. Senate’s failure to pass the 20-week abortion ban earlier this year, Graham wrote that the senators opposing the bill “voted against human rights, the right to be born in the first place.”

Franklin Graham: Chelsea Clinton Defending Abortion as an Economic Good is Like Hitler Defending Killing Jews

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

Christian evangelist Franklin Graham is speaking out against comments Chelsea Clinton made defending abortion as somehow good for the economy. Graham didn’t mince words in his reply and said that her defense of abortion is similar to Hitler defending killing the Jews for economic reasons.

All week, Clinton has been facing criticism for linking legalized abortion on demand to $3.5 trillion in economic growth. Prompting the criticism were remarks Clinton made during a “Rise Up for Roe” rally protesting U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Saturday in New York City.

Clinton claimed the infamous 1973 U.S. Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade was a good thing, not only because it gave women the “dignity to make our own choices,” but also because it led to a $3.5 trillion boost to America’s economy.
“It is not a disconnected fact … that American women entering the labor force from 1973 to 2009 added three and a half trillion dollars to our economy. Right?” Clinton said.
Her comment about the financial benefit of 60 million unborn babies’ abortion deaths prompted a quick response from pro-life advocates online and the conservative news media and also from Graham.
“Chelsea Clinton claims that legalizing abortion added trillions of dollars to the economy. What a lie. Hitler probably also claimed that killing the Jews would be good for their economy,” Graham said.

Legalizing abortion hasn’t added anything to our country, it has only taken away & cost this nation more than 60 million lives—lives precious to God. Think of the contribution they would’ve made. I believe God will judge America for allowing the murder of unborn children. 2/3
To everyone who has had an abortion, it is murder in God’s eyes. But I’m happy to tell you that God will forgive you, take away the shame & guilt you’ve carried all these years, and save you for eternity if you turn to Him and put your faith and trust in His Son Jesus Christ. 3/3

Despite the criticism, Clinton defended herself with more bizarre arguments Tuesday on Twitter. Among Clinton’s most bizarre responses was a claim that being “pro-choice is pro-life.”

Franklin Graham Calls for Prayer for VP Pence After Latest Statements on Unborn Babies

By Peter Mitchell
Faith Family America

America is once again on track to stand up for the lives of unborn children. Many Christians admitted that they came to the polls in 2016 to specifically vote for Trump based on his pro-life views.

Now, with an open seat on the Supreme Court in the works, many people are excited about the possibility of overturning abortion laws in America. This past week, President Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be the next SCOTUS justice. He is an extremely pro-life choice and would be a deciding vote for the change.

Franklin Graham is now asking his supporters, and Christians everywhere, to pray for the cause. Specifically, Graham is asking us to pray for Vice President Mike Pence as he defends standing up against abortion.

"Will you join me in praying for God’s protection, wisdom, and blessing for @VP @Mike_Pence, @SecondLady Karen, and their family? I know it is an encouragement for them to know we are standing with them," wrote Graham on Twitter.
Will you join me in praying for God’s protection, wisdom, and blessing for @VP @Mike_Pence, @SecondLady Karen, and their family? I know it is an encouragement for them to know we are standing with them.

Pence recently spoke out about his proud stance against abortion.

"'I’m pro-life—I don’t apologize for it.' That’s what @VP told @DanaBashCNN. I’m grateful he stands for life & for biblical principles—& I’m thankful for the great job he’s doing for our country. He doesn’t back down & he doesn’t hedge," wrote Franklin.

"I, too, hope Roe v. Wade can be overturned for the sake of millions of children's lives and for the future of our nation," said Graham.
