Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling to be Held at Philadelphia Women's Center on Saturday, Dec 22nd

Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling
Saturday, December 22, 2018
6:30 - 9:00 am
Philadelphia Women's Center
777 Appletree Street
Philadelphia, PA 19106

Every year pro-lifers across the nation bring the joy and hope of Christmas to the darkness of abortion facilities with a Christmas Caroling day.

Some gather around a large empty Christmas crèche -- symbolizing both the hopeful anticipation of a child's birth and the emptiness left behind by abortion – and sing carols about the Christ child. Babies have been SAVED from abortion when their mothers heard these carols and were moved by the thought of how Mary said "YES" to be the mother of Jesus.

In Center City, a 'Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling Day' will be held on Saturday, December 22nd. We hope everyone from the Philadelphia area will come and join us for this annual event.

Please dress warmly and invite your family and friends to join you.

Agenda:

630AM- Angelus, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Mysteries of the Rosaries, and other prayers

8AMish- Caroling

830AMish until end- praying for an end to abortion in our city

Pro-Life Filmmaker Learns His Film Helped Save This Baby From Abortion

“You go ahead and put a price on a baby’s life but I’m certainly not going to”

Filmmaker Bruce Marchiano always knew the arts had the power to change mindsets and even lives. The day he received a picture of a baby who would have been aborted if not for his film “Alison’s Choice” was the day that his knowledge became a powerful, personal reality.

Marchiano made “Alison’s Choice” with the goal of helping others choose life in the face of difficult or unpredictable circumstances. One of the greatest difficulties he encountered, however, was finding a way to distribute the film.

Probably the biggest wake-up call in the hunt for distribution was an email I received from an acclaimed distributor of Christian movies. […] After screening the film, he emailed me: “Very powerful film that is sure to touch many lives, but it’s not a good fit for us.”

Receiving these kind of responses was a wake-up call for Marchiano, who believed in the power of the film to save lives more than to make a big cash flow:

“You go ahead and put a price on a baby’s life but I’m certainly not going to,” he said.
Marchiano’s wife reminded him that babies were dying while they waited for the right distributor, so he released it straight to DVD. In doing so, he launched a campaign to provide a free copy of the film to every Pregnancy Resource Center in the nation.

He also worked to help churches and organizations schedule movie theater screenings of Alison’s Choice, and that’s where the film gained ground—through grassroots galvanizing.
