Europeans Press for Abortion Edict from Upcoming Summit

By Susan Yoshihara, Ph.D.
Center for Families and Human Rights (C-Fam)

NEW YORK, April 8 (C-Fam) Europeans and UN staff want to put the upcoming World Humanitarian Summit agreement – yet to be disclosed – on par with high-level documents such as the 2000 Millennium Summit. But if this week’s events are an indication, the goal runs athwart their second aim: garnering “ambitious” and “concrete” outcomes, such as a declaration of a right to abortion, by barring inter-governmental negotiations.

Europeans and UN staff have been laying the groundwork to get the summit, meeting in Istanbul in May, to declare a right to abortion under humanitarian law, or the laws of war. One of the seven “roundtables” for discussion is focused on linking sexual violence with “comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care services without discrimination,” a term used to promote abortion.

Global Abortion Tax is Coming - You Can Help Act Now

Austin Ruse
President/C-Fam
Publisher/Friday Fax

UN radicals are clamoring for a global tax on financial transactions that will be an independent revenue stream for UN programs that promote abortion and “various forms of the family.”

This is among the most dangerous ideas promoted at the UN and around the world in years.

A Global Tax for Abortion would inevitably result in forcing Christian countries to legalize abortion or liberalize existing laws restricting abortion.

C-Fam is partnering with LifeNews to fight back. Please  SIGN THE PETITION RIGHT NOW by clicking on the image below, and then share with  all of your friends and family.

Is the Global Tax for Abortion real?

It sure is. It has been discussed for years by global elites. Called the Tobin Tax, it would tax all international financial transaction including when you change money when you travel.

The Global Tax for Abortion was on the agenda of the World Humanitarian Summit that will bring government leaders to Istanbul this May. It was also a part of the Sustainable Development Goals that will be the biggest development program in history that will end up costing trillions of dollars.

We can stop the Global Abortion Tax but we cannot do it without your immediate help.

Pro-Life Groups Flood UN Committee With Pleas to Block Right to Abortion

By Stefano Gennarini, J.D.
Center for Family and Human Rights

NEW YORK, June 19 (C-Fam) The UN Human Rights Committee was greeted Monday by a deluge of requests urging it to resist pressure to declare abortion a human right.

The committee will weigh in on abortion and euthanasia in a forthcoming note about the “right to life,” widely anticipated as the next step in the so far unsuccessful attempt to develop a human right to abortion through the UN bureaucracy.

The committee solicited the barrage when it asked for written contributions ahead of a discussion on Article 6 (Right to Life) of the UN treaty on civil and political rights to be held in Geneva this summer. A first draft of the note is expected soon after the discussion.

Over 30 organizations from around the world urged the committee to recognize the right to life of unborn children, or at least not recognize a right to abortion.

Not all came from groups that focus on pro-life issues.

KEEP ABORTION OUT OF UN DEVELOPMENT GOALS

From C-FAM

Killing innocent children in the womb should not be a part of global development policies.

In 2015 the United Nations system will decide how billions of dollars will be spent to eradicate poverty, improve health and education, and help poor countries develop economically.  Negotiations are underway to decide what policies find their way into the post-2015 development agenda.  This development agenda will guide global and national policies for decades.

Abortion groups already receive billions of dollars from governments, privage foundations and UN agencies with the pretext of providing 'sexual and reproductive health and services' and 'reproductive rights' - often code words for abortion.  They want to get even more money by including these policies in the post-2015 development agenda.
