New York Abortionist Set for Hearing November 28 in Manslaughter Case

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Queens, NY -Jaime Morales was an apparently happy and healthy 30-year old woman when she walked into the Liberty Women's Healthcare office in Flushing, New York, on July 9, 2016, for an elective second trimester abortion.

By evening, she was dead.

In a rare case of criminal prosecution of an abortionist for causing the death of a patient, Robert Rho, was arrested on October 11, 2016, after a Grand Jury issued an indictment against him for Second Degree Manslaughter (Reckless Homicide), a Class C Felony that carries a penalty of 3 1/2 to 15 years in prison.

BREAKING! Police Investigate Death of a Michigan Woman Days after an Abortion

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Battle Creek, MI - The Michigan news station WWMT.com, is reporting that a 24-year old woman was found dead in her mother's home in Battle Creek just days after having an abortion.

This news comes just days after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down certain Texas safety regulations as posing an "undue burden" on women.

"I think dying from an apparently botched abortion is worse than having to drive a couple of extra miles for an abortion," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "If this woman's death is indeed due to a shoddy abortion, it should give the five justices that voted to gut abortion safety something new to think about."

The news report stated that the woman received an abortion on June 30, 2016, at an unknown abortion facility.

Ambulance Transports Patient From TX Abortion Facility ...

...as SCOTUS Readies to Hear Pivotal Abortion Safety Case

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Dallas, Texas – Less than 48 hours before the U. S. Supreme Court will hear a pivotal Texas abortion case focused on women’s safety, an ambulance transported a woman from Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center, an abortion clinic in Dallas, Texas.

The ambulance was photographed by a pro-life activist at Southwestern Surgery Center on Monday, February 29, 2016, at about 1:06 p.m.

“This latest medical emergency at a Texas abortion facility only emphasizes abortion risks and how important it is for abortionists to maintain minimum safety standards and hospital privileges within 30 miles of their abortion facilities,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

Safety Claims Questioned: Spokane Planned Parenthood Tears Hole in Abortion Patient's Womb

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Spokane, WA - For the third time this year, an ambulance was called to a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Spokane, Washington. The incident took place on September 16, 2015.

According to the 911 recording obtained by Operation Rescue show that the Planned Parenthood caller hesitated when asked by the 911 dispatcher what happened.

"Um, uh, uterine perforation," the Planned Parenthood caller said.

A uterine perforation is a hole torn in the woman's womb when the sharp suction cannula that is used to dismember the baby is thrust too deep into the uterus. This can be a life threatening injury depending on the severity of the tear, whether other internal organs were damaged, and the amount of internal bleeding that occurs. Uterine perforations can usually be repaired, but may result in hysterectomies in severe cases.

"The thirteen women that were transported this year from just two of Cecile Richard's abortion clinics might dispute her claim of 'high-quality' care," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, who also sits on the board of the Center for Medical Progress. "Planned Parenthood has butchered one woman after another, many of whom are lucky to be alive. Others, such as Tonya Reaves, were not so lucky and ended up on a cold slab in the morgue."

Secret Ohio Department of Health Docs Reveal 47 Horrific Botched Abortions,

Countless Safety Violations and More

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

[Note: Most links in this article will take the reader to never-before published records received from the Ohio Department of Health. Those documents are archived at AbortionDocs.org.]

Columbus, OH -- Ohio recently made headlines with reports that half the abortion clinics in that state have closed and several others have curtailed services, reducing abortion numbers to the lowest since 1976.

"When abortion clinics close, abortions decline and lives are saved. It's as simple as that," said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and co-author with Cheryl Sullenger of the book Abortion Free. "We have worked in Ohio on a number of projects in cooperation with local leaders that, in part, contributed to this decline, but more must be done."

Newman notes that there is great cause for concern regarding hazardous conditions and practices at the Ohio abortion clinics that are still open.

Operation Rescue has released a new special investigative report detailing deteriorating conditions and horrific injuries at Ohio's eight remaining abortion facilities.

The report is based on secret records from the Ohio Department of Health that have never before been made public, that show that at least 47 abortion-related medical emergencies or complications took place at the eight abortion clinics since 2011, including the abortion-related death of a 22-year old African-American woman named Lakisha Wilson.

The documents also detail an alarming laundry list of life-threatening safety hazards at those same abortion facilities.

"Abortion complications and horrendous conditions as detailed in these documents are not confined to Ohio abortion clinics. We see these kinds of things in every state," said Newman. "Ohio is just a microcosm of the dangers that exist at abortion clinics throughout the nation."

Other Ohio Department of Health records show that abortion facilities have singled out poor urban women from the African-American community as targets for aggressive abortion marketing and that African-American women are the ones who are most impacted by the abortion cartel's substandard conditions and practices.

"Operation Rescue calls on the Ohio Department of Health to stop turning a blind eye to dangerous conditions and practitioners, stop issuing variances to those who cannot qualify for hospital transfer agreements, and shut down as many abortion facilities as necessary to protect the lives and health of Ohio women, starting with the Preterm clinic in Cleveland," said Newman.

Spokane 911 Records Censored, But Still Show Planned Parenthood Patient Hemorrhaged

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Spokane, WA - New 911 recordings obtained by Operation Rescue show that a Planned Parenthood patient in Spokane who was transported to the hospital on April 15, 2015, was hemorrhaging.

"This is Angie from Planned Parenthood. We need an ambulance for a patient we can't get to stop bleeding," a Planned Parenthood caller told a 911 dispatcher.

The Planned Parenthood worker was transferred to a Fire Department dispatcher who asked her what happened. The rest of the recording was redacted.

"Planned Parenthood in Spokane had no ability to treat this patient who suffered a common abortion complication. Many women are not aware that free-standing abortion facilities cannot help them in the event of a medical emergency and that there will be delays in receiving emergency care," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

Ambulance Transports Planned Parenthood Patient on Abortionist's First Day on the Job‏

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Spokane, WA - Pro-life activists with Sidewalk Advocates for Life of Spokane shot video footage as an ambulance loaded a patient at the Indiana Health Center of Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Spokane, Washington, then sped away to a local hospital with lights flashing and sirens blaring.

The woman appeared to be completely covered head to toe with blankets or sheets. An IV bag could be seen hanging over the gurney. One clinic worker with an umbrella unsuccessfully attempted to block view of the gurney from the street.

Adding a "creep factor" to the incident, the video clearly showed a woman carrying what appeared to be a red plastic biohazard bag who rode with the ambulance to the hospital. Aborted baby remains are often placed in such bags, but there was no way to determine from the video exactly what was in the red bag.

Abortionist Calls 911 for "Lifeless" Patient: "Just Need Someone NOW"

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Bakersfield, CA - A 911 recording obtained by Operation Rescue reveals that abortionist Karen Mann placed a call for help to 911 on April 14, 2015 for a patient suffering an abortion complication, which resulted in abnormally low blood pressure that may have led to cardiac arrest.

Stress could be heard in Mann's voice as she told a dispatcher, "We just need someone now."

The patient was still under sedation from the procedure when her blood pressure dangerously dropped. At the end of the recording, Mann can be heard talking with a male who was in the procedure room with her.

"Can you give her presses? Do you have epinephrine or anything?" Mann asked him.

Epinephrine is often given in the event of cardiac arrest or a serious allergic reaction. "Presses" that Mann referred to could have referred to chest compressions administered during CPR.

BREAKING: Ambulance Called to OH Abortion Facility where Woman Died from Botched Abortion 1 Year Ago‏

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Cleveland, OH - Just one day before the one-year anniversary of Lakisha Wilson's fatal abortion at Preterm abortion clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, another ambulance was called to render emergency assistance to a patient suffering a medical emergency.

The ambulance arrived at Preterm around 3:15 pm on Friday, March 20, 2015. Emergency responders were seen wheeling out of the abortion facility an African-American woman estimated to be in her mid-twenties on a gurney that was in the seated position.

Documents obtained by Operation Rescue indicate that all five of Preterm's surgical rooms are located on the third floor. Gurneys can only access those rooms via a small, sometimes malfunctioning elevator that can only accommodate a gurney in the upright, seated position.

Operation Rescue

St. Louis, MO - For the 28th time less than six years, a patient of the Central West End Health Center of Planned Parenthood in St. Louis, Missouri, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for emergency care that could not be provided by Planned Parenthood.

The Coalition for Life in St. Louis posted numerous photographs of the March 7, 2015, incident showing a white woman wearing a standard hospital gown who was grimacing in pain while being wheeled from the abortion facility to the awaiting ambulance.

"The woman had blonde hair, appeared to be about in her thirties, was extremely pale and could be heard audibly wailing," reported Kenneth Capps, a Coalition for Life volunteer, who witnessed the event.

BREAKING: FL Abortionist Caught Red-Handed Breaking the Law‏

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Orlando, FL - Some consider him the worst abortionist in America. That reputation was only enhanced on Saturday, March 7, 2015, when sidewalk counselor Michele Herzog of Pro-Life Action Ministries filmed James Scott Pendergraft IV sneaking in the back door of EPOC in Orlando, one of five abortion clinics owned by him.

The problem? Pendergraft's Florida medical license is listed as "delinquent." According the Florida Medical Quality Assurance Services, that means, "The licensed practitioner is not authorized to practice in the state of Florida."

In addition, Pendergraft is not authorized to administer controlled substances, such as sedation.

Herzog had stopped to pray at the facility around 11:00 a.m. when she noticed Pendergraft pulling up in his well-known gold-colored van. Herzog reports that Pendergraft noticed her sitting in her own vehicle and waited 10 minutes in his car before finally pulling up his gray hoodie and rushing into the clinic.

Mississippi Fighting to Maintain the Ability to Protect Women's Health and Safety

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Jackson, MS - Fighting to maintain the right to protect the health and safety of its citizens, Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood has filed a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari with the United States Supreme Court seeking to overturn a "confusing and inconsistent" Fifth Circuit decision that effectively placed the last abortion clinic in Mississippi "beyond the regulatory reach of the state."

"We know all too well what happens when abortion facilities are left unaccountable. We end up with the likes of Kermit Gosnell. When abortion clinics are held above the law, women are the ones who suffer when they are subjected to increasingly degrading conditions and shoddy procedures," said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. "If anyone thinks that's just exaggerated rhetoric, we have the documentation to prove that this is an unfortunate fact within the abortion cartel today."

At issue is a 2012 law, HB 1390, which requires abortionists to maintain hospital privileges within thirty miles of the facility where abortions take place.

Carnage: Abortionists Log 4 Botched Abortions in 4 States Last Weekend‏

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Houston, TX - Operation Rescue has documented that four women were transported by ambulance from abortion facilities across the U.S. over the weekend of February 6-7, 2015. Half of the facilities where medical emergencies occurred were Planned Parenthood abortion clinics.

"We have been overwhelmed with reports and photos of incidents in four different states. We are working as fast as we can to investigate them further and get complaints out to the appropriate state agencies," said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.

The abortion emergencies took place at:
* Planned Parenthood, Houston, Texas, February 6, 2015.
* Planned Parenthood, Riverside, California, February 7, 2015.
* Little Rock Family Planning Services, Little Rock, Arkansas, February 7, 2015.
* Akron Women's Medical Group, Akron, Ohio, February 7, 2015.

Lights and Sirens: Woman Rushed to ER from Akron Abortion Facility

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Akron, OH – With lights flashing and sirens blaring, an ambulance transported a woman from the Akron Women’s Medical Group abortion facility in Akron, Ohio, to a local hospital on Saturday, February 7, 2015.

One pro-life activist was on the scene at the time and had the presence of mind to video the incident with his cell phone as the woman was loaded into an ambulance and rushed away from the clinic.

“Once again, if it had not been for this one faithful man, this incident would have been swept under the rug. This shows how important it is to document medical emergencies outside abortion facilities so that the public can know the truth about abortion dangers that are grossly underplayed by the abortion cartel,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Abortion isn’t safe for the thousands of women who are hospitalized each year suffering from life-threatening abortion complications, and that is a truth that must be documented and exposed so abortionists can be brought to justice.”
