Please Join Us in Trenton on Monday, December 7, to Show Your Opposition to Physician Assisted Suicide

from Marie Tasy, Executive Director
New Jersey Right to Life

Our opponents are working feverishly to try to get the Physician Assisted Suicide bill (A2270/S382) through the NJ Senate some time before the end of the lame duck session. There are three more Senate voting sessions before the Reorganization of the new Legislature. They are December 7, 2015, December 17, 2015 and January 11, 2016.

The lobbying group, Compassion and Choices, will be down at the State House on Monday, December 7, 2015 lobbying Senators to pass the bill.

We do not know if A2270/S382 will be posted for a vote on Monday, December 7th, but we are asking concerned pro-life citizens to come down to the State House on Monday, December 7 to lobby your Senators and be a presence in the halls of Trenton to show our opposition to A2270/S382.

Please join NJRTL and other members of the NJ Coalition Against Doctor Prescribed Suicide on Monday, December 7, 2015 to stand against this terribly dangerous and misguided legislation. We will hand out stickers and meet in the cafeteria at the State House at 10:00 a.m. Click here for directions to the State House.

Please also call and email your State Senator right now and urge them to oppose this bill. You can go the Legislature's webpage here to find your Senator and obtain their phone number and contact info. Please also visit our Legislative page on our website here to send a pre-written email urging your Senators to oppose A2270/S382.

Please pass this information on to others who are opposed to the legalization of physician assisted suicide and ask them to join in our campaign to oppose A2270/S382.

Please email us at feedback@njrtl.org to let us know if you are coming. I look forward to seeing you in Trenton on Monday!

ACTION NEEDED ON NJ PHYSICIAN ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL, A2270/S382!

Marie Tasy, Executive Director
New Jersey Right to Life

Now that the Assembly Election is over, the Legislature has until January 11, 2016 to pass bills that are pending. If bills that are pending don't pass both houses of the legislature by that time, they will expire and have to be reintroduced.

As you know, the Assembly passed the NJ Physician Assisted Suicide bill last November.

Click HERE to see how your Two Assembly Members voted.

The bill is awaiting a vote in the NJ Senate. Please email, call and schedule meetings with your State Senator immediately and urge him/her to vote No on A2270/S382.

Please do this even if you have contacted them before on this issue. I am including a link to an awesome exchange between J.J.Hanson, a Marine who has the same brain cancer that Brittany Maynard had and Bill Spadea, host of 101.FM radio which took place today on the radio which you may find useful.   You can read the summary and listen to the exchange HERE

You may also want to visit the NJ Alliance Against Doctor Prescribed Suicide website HERE for more information and to find your legislator.

There is no question that our job just got a lot harder; but rest assured, we will not retreat or remain silent.

With your help and through God's grace, we will persevere. We have to, precious lives depend on us.
