Announcement from A Baby's Breath Crisis Pregnancy Centers

Join us at this year's annual Leadership Course on March 18th at Villanova University!

Open to all volunteers of A Baby's Breath and anyone interested in learning about us! Contact Rachael Jasienski @ ABBLeadershipCourse@gmail.com for signup information and/or questions.

A Baby's Breath Crisis Pregnancy Center in the greater Philadelphia area offers free ultrasounds, pregnancy counseling, pre-natal classes, parenting classes, material assistance, and GED tutoring. We are a 501 C3 organization and administrate our services through the help of volunteers.

A Baby's Breath’s primary mission is to "help a mother to see her child take his/her first breath”. It is a safe place where mothers, fathers, and families can talk freely without being judged and where they can hear the truth from a voice filled with compassion and hope. Through their pregnancy counseling sessions with our volunteers, mothers learn about the life developing inside of them and are given the opportunity to discuss and focus on their life goals. A Baby’s Breath Briefs

Collegeville Center

By Susan Grant, Director

I joined A Baby’s Breath as a volunteer last November after finding a posting online on Volunteermatch.org.
After meeting Mary Ann McDonnell and a couple of the Collegeville volunteers, I quickly realized I’d found a talented, caring and committed group of people who were dedicated to their mission. Over the past year, I’ve become an Advocate at the Collegeville Center, attended the leadership conference in the spring and as of September, have taken on the Director’s role.

Mary Ann McDonnell, former director, remains a key support as I’m still learning that role.

We don’t always know how much of a difference we make unless our clients come right out and tell us. But there are few instances that stand out to me as clear successes. One is a former client who worked hard to move beyond her crisis situation and who now has offered to “give back” with her time as a volunteer.
