Most Americans have never heard of LeRoy Carhart, an abortionist currently working out of Bellevue, Nebraska.

Yet he’s made a career of ending innocent unborn life for more than thirty years.

The fact is, he has eagerly served as the face of the abortion lobby in battles against pro-life legislation, contesting the 2003 Partial Birth Abortion Ban in the Supreme Court case Gonzales v. Carhart, which he thankfully lost.

To this day, Carhart complains about that case, lamenting that he can no longer legally kill babies after they have already been partially delivered.

But even so, Carhart continues to slaughter unborn babies day after day -- even performing abortions at the ninth month of pregnancy.

At this late date, these babies are fully viable, fully formed, and fully capable of feeling pain.

Yet abortionists like Carhart have no problem ripping them from their mothers’ wombs.

After botching an abortion, Carhart left the mother in agony, bleeding heavily, and struggling for breath in the emergency room.

As for her child, at seventeen weeks that baby had arms, legs, fingers, toes, and a heartbeat. Its bones were hardening, and it could begin to move and kick.

But like so many others, that baby tragically died at the hands of LeRoy Carhart.

This brutality is the kind of thing you and I are up against.

And it’s why you and I must fight to end this slaughter of innocents once and for all.

A Most Powerful Tool for Humanizing the Unborn

Ultrasounds have long been a powerful tool for showcasing the humanity of the unborn, highlighting their little hands, tiny feet, and beating hearts.

And sometimes, mothers can even catch a glimpse of their unborn child’s personality.

One mother recently got a video ultrasound, and to her delight, her unborn baby boy turned towards her and started waving at her on the ultrasound screen!

“It was really lovely to see. . . I think we’re definitely going to have a little showman on our hands,” said the overjoyed mother.

Stories like this truly are heartwarming.

They also demonstrate that ultrasounds really do have the power to humanize the unborn -- so much so that even calloused abortion industry workers have often become pro-life after viewing an ultrasound.

For example, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, founder of the so-called “National Abortion Rights Action League” (NARAL), attributed his conversion to the power of ultrasounds, stating, “I ran the largest abortion clinic in the world for two years. . .”

“I changed my mind because the new scientific data which we were getting from advanced technology persuaded me that we could not indiscriminately continue to slaughter what was demonstrably a human being.”

And ultrasounds continue to change the hearts and minds of mothers and abortion workers alike to this day.

In fact, studies indicate that up to 78% of abortion-minded women choose life after viewing an ultrasound of their unborn child.

But in the end, these ultrasounds are just affirming what you and I have long known -- that unborn children really are living human beings.

Shut Them All Down!

Pro-lifers all across America have heard of notorious abortionist Kermit Gosnell and his “House of Horrors” abortion clinic.

In spite of what appeared to be the mainstream media’s best efforts to suppress any information, the word got out about the sickening and criminal practices at Gosnell’s Philadelphia abortuary.

And with the internet, no tawdry detail stays hidden for long.

Though the abortion industry would like for you to believe differently, Kermit Gosnell was not just a ‘lone wolf, renegade’ abortionist who won’t adhere to some imaginary strict code of patient care, or an industry standard for safety and cleanliness for abortion clinics.

That’s just not the reality of the abortion world.

When the abortion industry is so obsessed with killing babies, why would they let the health of a mother get in the way?

So, not surprisingly, other “Houses of Horrors” have already come to light such as the Planned Parenthood affiliate in Wilmington, Delaware.

This clinic was so filthy and dangerous that the staff who worked there reported it!

Three former employees of Planned Parenthood testified before the Delaware State Legislature, exposing the organization’s unsafe and unethical procedures.

Two nurses told in full detail of how the rush to push women through would regularly result in abortion tables being left uncleaned of blood and not even wiped between patients.

According to one of the clinic’s former nurses, "It was just unsafe. I couldn't tell you how ridiculously unsafe it was."

She said of the operating tables "It's not washed down; it's not even cleaned off. It has bloody drainage on it."

The veteran abortionists callously refused to even put on surgical gloves and frequently reused dirty instruments during procedures.

Some doctors were even performing “after hours” abortions without any support medical staff.

Abortion duties were assigned to staff with little to no medical expertise, who then rushed through procedures with reckless abandon.

Doctors even neglected to inform at least 200 women of their positive test results for STD’s and infections.

During the investigation, abortionist Timothy Liveright was cited for ten “acts of incompetence and negligence.” The nurses testified that Liveright “left sedated patients in the middle of an abortion procedure for hours in order to handle a mechanical issue with his private airplane.”

The revelation of yet another seedy abortion mill is not an anomaly. In recent years the states of Kansas, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Alabama, California, Michigan, and Illinois, among others, have had abortion clinics exposed.

The hard fact is that when a doctor doesn’t care for life at its most innocent and vulnerable stage, then he or she will obviously not care how any life is treated.

But the multitude of horrifying abortion procedures used on unborn babies and the women dying from horribly botched abortions reveal the stark truth -- the abortion business is seedy, unsafe, and an unregulated free-for-all.

Finding Hope From History

Thanks to you and other National Pro-Life Alliance members, support for the Life at Conception Act has grown tremendously.

In fact, the Life at Conception Act was introduced with an all-time record number of original cosponsors in this Congress and we're on track to break our prior record.

Yet even with our steadily growing support, our battle to pass a Life at Conception Act and end abortion-on-demand isn't going to be easy or happen overnight.

But I find confidence and strength as I reflect on the fact that past generations have struggled -- and prevailed -- against similarly grave evils, such as William Wilberforce's battle against slavery over a century and a half ago.

You may already be familiar with his story, which was recently depicted in the film "Amazing Grace."

William Wilberforce was a British Member of Parliament who fought for over forty years to put an end to slavery.

He doggedly re-introduced his bill to abolish the international slave trade every year. At first, his efforts were overwhelmingly defeated.

Conventional wisdom believed that slavery was a permanent staple of British life, essential to the British Empire's economy -- much like activist judges want the people to believe that the "right" to abortion is "settled law."

But Wilberforce kept his determination, and ultimately he was victorious.

Twenty years after he began, Parliament abolished the slave trade. And another twenty years after that, they ended slavery itself.

And like Wilberforce in his battle to end slavery, I am confident that we will ultimately emerge victorious as well, as long as you and I keep up the fight.

In fact, I am certain that William Wilberforce would be in the trenches with you and me, fighting to protect the unborn, if he were alive today.

Indeed, his great-great-grandson, Fr. Gerald Wilberforce, recently noted that "with the passage of time we look back in horror at how we devalued human life [through slavery]. I truly believe we will look back in years to come, repent and ask forgiveness for what we let happen to the unborn child."

Whenever great moral sicknesses infect a society, the road to recovery is usually long and rough. But together there is no doubt you and I will ultimately prevail.

Pro-Life Alert: Supreme Court at Risk!

For decades, the Abortion Lobby has consistently pushed their agenda through the courts.

Ever since the Supreme Court's ruling on Roe v. Wade in 1973, more than 61 million babies have lost their lives as a direct result of this blatant judicial tyranny.

That is why when Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died last year, the Abortion Lobby saw the perfect opportunity to solidify their judicial power. And with President Trump's nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch, the Abortion Lobby is truly desperate to stop his appointment. They are hell-bent on using their Senate allies to filibuster Gorsuch's nomination.

And right now, we do not yet have the votes to stop them.

My staff, working with allies on Capitol Hill, has been working up a hard-hitting strategy to counter the Abortion Lobby's filibuster; and I need to tell you just why they are so desperate.

You see, the appointment of Neil Gorsuch should be a blessing for you, me, and everyone who cares about the sanctity of human life as:

• Pro-life legislation is constantly being challenged in courts of law by the Abortion Lobby and its cronies;

• The atrocities of the abortion mills are coming to the attention of an increasingly sickened public; and

• We continue to make progress towards overturning Roe v. Wade by passing the Life at Conception Act.

But ultimately all of these issues will go to the Supreme Court. With all of this on the line, it's no wonder the Abortion Lobby is desperate to stop Neil Gorsuch's nomination in its tracks. It's time we took the fight to them.

Neil Gorsuch is a judge with more than 10 years of service and judicial experience behind him.  His opinions and rulings are historically fair and brilliantly written. Anyone with an interest in seeing laws being truly protected at the highest level could find no objection to Neil Gorsuch.

But just administration of the law has never been a factor in the minds of pro-abortion politicians. For them, it has always been about satisfying their pro-abortion base.

You see, each election cycle, the Abortion Lobby pours tens of millions of dollars and more into the campaign coffers of their hand-picked politicians. These politicians are accustomed to coasting to victory on these funds.

But they've received a nasty shock. One of the Abortion Lobby's top recipients in history was Hillary Clinton.

And despite the Abortion Lobby's massive war chest, Hillary went down in defeat before Donald Trump, thanks in no small part to pro-life voters determined to bring an end to abortion-on-demand.

In 2018, 10 Democrat Senators are up for re-election in states that Donald Trump won, which means these Senators are extremely susceptible to pressure.

Douglas Karpen, The Texas Gosnell

Forty years ago the Supreme Court shoved abortion-on-demand down our throats. A decision which has ultimately resulted in the merciless slaughter of 56 million unborn babies to date.

The fact is that until we pass a Life at Conception Act in the U.S. Congress, we will never truly see an end to the silent holocaust of abortion. And recent examples of the horrors of abortion strengthen my resolve to fight even more.

By now, you have undoubtedly heard of the notorious Kermit Gosnell. In his “House of Horrors,” Gosnell would routinely deliver babies, and then kill them. Of course, you and I understand that as horrifying as Gosnell’s brutal murder of newborn infants is, had he done the same things a few minutes earlier, it would have been perfectly legal.

The pro-abortionists would love for you to think that abortion is safe and rare, and that Gosnell is an anomaly. However, in the wake of the Gosnell case, the floodgates have opened, and it has become clear just how common it is.

Currently, Texas state officials are investigating abortionist Douglas Karpen for performing illegal pre and post-birth abortions. Three former employees recently came forward, exposing Karpen’s grisly business.

They reported on the hazardous and filthy conditions of his abortuary, the lack of medical training of his assistants, and his crude, rough and sometimes violent mistreatment of patients.

In order to dodge the law, the former employees report that Karpen would routinely manipulate ultrasound results to abort babies well past viability. “As long as patients had the cash, he was going to do it,” said one former employee. And for Karpen, that often translated into killing the baby after it was born.

One nurse said: “Most of the time the fetus would come all the way out before he either cut the spinal cord or introduced one of the instruments into the soft-spot of the fetus in order to kill the fetus.” “Either that or twisting the head off the neck with his own bare hands.” Karpen was even said to have inserted his fingers into the throats of the newborns, suffocating them to death.

The last time Karpen faced major scrutiny was in the late 1980’s when he was sued for performing an illegal abortion procedure on an underage 15 year old girl, killing her and her unborn baby in the process. Since then, local officials largely turned a blind eye to his business — until now.

The one thing that is clear is that this kind of thing is not at all as rare as the pro-abortion community would like us to believe. But of course, we can hardly expect anything different from those who believe that some lives have no value and who treat human life as “throw-away.”

Cases like Karpen and Gosnell highlight the absurdity of the notion that killing a baby can be justified by whether or not it happens to be located inside or outside of the womb.

Indeed, thanks to Roe v. Wade, the only reason Karpen or Gosnell are even remarkable is that they allowed the babies to be born before killing them.

 

Pain Capable Testimony

If there ever was graphic testimony detailing the horrors of abortion, those attending the recent hearing on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act heard it firsthand.

Dr. Anthony Levatino, OB/Gyn, who had performed more than 1,200 abortions, testified before the House Subcommittee on the Constitution to his change of heart after suffering the searing pain from the death of his own child.

Dr. Levatino was speaking at a House hearing on H.R. 1797, the "Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act."

This bill that would ban abortions based on the extreme pain that the unborn go through during an abortion procedure.

But Dr. Anthony didn't just speak in sterile medical terms about abortions.

Rather, he told with excruciating detail of how he would perform a D&E abortion, even showing some of the medical instruments during his testimony for emphasis.

He went step by horrid step in his description, telling of how he would literally pull the baby apart to remove it from the mother's womb, and then how he would put it back together after he was done, like some kind of gory jigsaw puzzle, to make sure he had removed all of the dead child.

While this may be awful to read, I think it is something that every rational adult needs to hear, especially those who insist that an unborn child is just a "blob of tissue."

Levatino added "If you refuse to believe that this procedure inflicts severe pain on that unborn child, please think again."

He also addressed the abortion lobby's crocodile tears in regards to late-term abortions to "save the life of the mother," calling it out for the sham that it was.

Because a late-term abortion is a three day process "[A]ny attempt to perform an abortion 'to save the mother's life' would entail undue and dangerous delay in providing appropriate, truly life-saving care."

And many of these unborn babies that are aborted at that late stage of the pregnancy can survive outside their mother's womb.

But, as usual, even in the wake of the Gosnell case, the media has had a virtual blackout on any information about the battle raging in the U.S. House of Representatives over efforts to ban any type of abortion.

The abortion apologists in the media don't want anyone focusing on this issue, particularly not on Dr. Levatino's frank testimony, and most especially not on the excruciating pain suffered by unborn children.

But Dr. Levatino's story and testimony has gone viral on the internet, bringing the awful truth to millions of people.

Let his bravery in facing, admitting and then changing, his deadly lifestyle inspire you and I to keep involved in the fight to protect the innocent unborn.

OBAMA'S NEXT SUPREME COURT NOMINEE

President Obama and his pro-abortion pals are looking at the U.S. Supreme Court and licking their lips. They know President Obama’s next high court pick could secure a pro-abortion Supreme Court for decades to come. And the Abortion Lobby believes, the next radical court nominee could lead to the destruction of virtually EVERY pro-life law in the country, as well!

The Abortion Lobby is NOT sitting around on their hands waiting for another Court vacancy to occur before they mobilize. ***  Ultrasound Laws to prove to expectant mothers that they are carrying a precious unborn life inside them -- not a meaningless “glob of flesh” as abortionists would have them believe;

***  Bans on sex selection abortions, which prohibit the killing of the unborn just because the a parent didn’t like the sex of their baby;

***  Bans on taxpayer funding for abortions to allow the Abortion Lobby to pick the pockets of every American taxpayer.

While our ultimate goal is to overturn Roe v. Wade and to end abortion nationwide through passage of the Life at Conception Act, through laws like these and others, states are saving unborn lives. In fact, Time Magazine ran a January 14 cover story entitled, “Why Abortion Rights Activists Have Been Losing Ever Since Roe v. Wade.” The fact is, when popularly elected representatives decide, the outcome is overwhelmingly pro-life.

That’s why this next Supreme Court pick is so important to them, why they’re not waiting around to mobilize -- and why we must prepare to fight back NOW!

President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) know the key to handing their pro-abortion allies the Supreme Court power they crave is SPEED.
