Stop Doctor-Prescribed Suicide in PA!

From the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

A bill has been introduced in the Pennsylvania Senate that would legalize doctor-prescribed suicide in Pennsylvania. The legislation, known as Senate Bill 549, can be found by clicking here.

Please call and email your State Senator with this urgent message: "Please oppose Senate Bill 549, the assisted suicide bill. It would hurt people with disabilities, the frail elderly, and other citizens who are at risk."

If you don't know who your state Senator is, or you need the Senator's contact information, please click here and type in your address. A window will pop up with the name of your state Senator and office information. Please note: This is a state issue, not a federal one, so you do not need to call U.S. Senator Bob Casey or U.S. Senator Pat Toomey.

Thank you for making these crucial calls and sending these important emails!

The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, Inc., is committed to promoting the dignity and value of human life fromconception to natural death and to restoring legal protection for preborn children. Through legislation, political action, education and other legal means, we proclaim the truth about abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia.

Pennsylvania Pro-Life Alert--House Assisted Suicide Memo Circulated

From Maria V. Gallagher,Legislative Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

I wanted to make you aware of the fact that Rep. Mark Rozzi is circulating a co-sponsorship memo for a doctor-prescribed suicide bill (See the memo here)

It is based on the deeply flawed law in Oregon—a state in which the so-called safeguards simply aren’t working.

Please let the members of your individual groups and constituencies know that they should contact their state representatives and urge them Not to co-sponsor this dangerous bill, which is being called the CARE Act.

If individuals do not know who their state representatives are, or they need the phone numbers for the representatives’ offices, they can find the information using this link.

We simply do not want to reverse Pennsylvania’s long-standing policy against assisted suicide!
