The Mass of the Holy Innocents was beautiful. As usual, St. Cyril Church was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and as usual Monsignor Powell gave a beautiful homily. 

It was a biblical speech pertaining to the original Holy Innocents.  Monsignor made several deep points one of which was the wickedness of Herod. Again a person of great power killed--he even killed members of his own family besides his jealousy going after children 2 years of age and younger during the time of Jesus' birth. 

Something to think about the number of children killed at that time which would have been about 50 "at the max". Compare that with today's children aborted in the US alone is about 900,000/year which is supposedly down from a high of 1.50 million.

At the "Empty Manger" Caroling in Warminster on December 21st,  there were about 10 to 12 who attended in spite of the rain. We thank all who participated in this annual event.

In 2019, LIFE has to be revived through those who claim to be pro-life by witnessing wherever the unborn's life is being threatened. This would make a good New Year resolution to plan on participating at vigils at PP. 

Other resolutions or opportunities for you to think about:

• Start a pro-life group in your parish. 

• Follow the move of your legislators on pro-life issues and contact, him/her. 

• Come to the Bucks County Pro-Life Meeting to check out a plan that would include your participation in growing the organization. The next meeting will be on Monday, January 28, 2019. 

• Participate in the March for Life which is Friday January 18, 2019.

Does your parish have a bus going to DC? For one, there will be a bus going to DC from St. Isidore if you are interested in attending the March for Life. The information is in the St. Isidore Church Bulletin and on the website. It would be great to hear from you.

For those who are not able to attend the March for Life in Washington, DC, please join us in front of the Warminister Planned Parenthood on January 18th to pray and give witness.  We will gather at 12 noon.

Every year pro-lifers across the nation bring the joy and hope of Christmas to the darkness of abortion facilities with a Christmas Caroling day.

We gather around a large empty Christmas crèche manger -- symbolizing both the hopeful anticipation of a child's birth and the emptiness left behind by abortion – and sing carols about the Christ child. Babies have been SAVED from abortion when their mothers heard these carols and were moved by the thought of how Mary said "YES" to be the mother of Jesus.

The Christmas Caroling Day has become an important annual event for pro-life groups across the country. In the past it was known at the Empty Manger Christmas Caroling Day; however, it was changed to the Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling Day. The new name is clearer and, hopefully, will help bring more people out to give witness, sing and pray.

The unofficial start of summer has arrived! With the backyard spring cleanup practically finished and the summer flowers planted this is the time for pro-lifers to put into action our plans to storm the halls of Harrisburg to stop the funding of Planned Parenthood in our state. Because of the Monday holiday, our monthly meeting for May is on Tuesday, May 30th.

Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition Hosts Annual Run/Walk for Life

This past Saturday, June 28th, the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition  held their 4th annual Pro-life Run/Walk for Life at Peace Valley Park, located in Doylestown, PA.  

The Coalition has been in existence for over 30 years and their mission has been to support the many crisis pregnancy centers and homes located in the Bucks County area.  

Their were 50 registered runners along with several walkers for this event.  Below are pictures taken at this event.

Report on the 3rd Saturday Vigil at Planned Parenthood in Center City Philadelphia

When we arrived at the 12th and Locust St. Planned Parenthood abortion facility there were approximately 15 PP escorts to lead the young women into the abortuary past the Pro-Life people who were praying the Rosary. After the 15 decades of the Rosary Fr. Wilde gave a few closing remarks.

When all was said and done, I remarked to the Man and woman who provide the music at these Vigils in town, " Did you notice that of all the  women going in for abortions, all of them were young black women, except for 2 hispanic appearing women. During our time there wasn't one white woman that entered the facility. I also mentioned that standing in front of the entrance was 3 Phila. Civil Affairs Officers.

I said how ironic to see that since this week or month will be the Memorial Celebration of the beginning of the Civil Rights movement. I then walked up to the officers and mentioned that to them and asked,  " What do you think Martin Luther King is feeling as he looks down from heaven and seeing 3 black officers protecting an abortuary where black babies are being killed . We then got into a discussion. Their reply was that they weren't protecting Planned Parenthood or the pro-Life people, they were there to prevent any violence hostility from either side that may happen. I replied that the only place the violence is occuring is inside Planned Parenthood as a baby is torn/sucked from the mithers womb.

A report on Planned Parenthood Presented at the Warminster Township Supervisors Meeting

 On Thursday, August 15th, the Warminster Township Supervisors held their monthly meeting.  Long time pro-life advocate, Terry Noble, a resident of Warminster, was asked to talk about the local Planned Parenthood Abortion facility.  Below is a report from Bill Miller, former president of the Bucks County Pro-life Coalition and also a long time pro-life advocate. 

Pro-Life advocate Teresa Noble was granted permission to make a 5 minute public comment (after the regular meeting agenda was completed. By that time many of the people interested only in their item on the Agenda had left and did not have the benefit to hear Terry's presentation concerning the continuation of the murder every Friday morning of approximately 18 -20 innocent unborn babies. again approx. 86/month, and 1032 annually since the killing began in January 2000.

After Teresa Noble spoke, Teresa Snyder took the microphone and seconded all that her predecessor had spoken. After just about everyone had left, a man came forward and questioned the Supervisors as to any leverage they might have to deny certain types of businesses permits to operate. They said to put it briefly that they have the authority to deny any enterprise that is brreaking the law.

Finally another man came forward to make a few comments to refresh the current Supervisors how the Township zoning officer recommended PP be allowed to open as a out patient surgical clinic, he remarked that they would be no different than a podiarist or dental office which already have approved zoning.

He also made a comment to a few pro-Life people who met with him at his office that abortion is just another form of birth control. They tried to reason with him, but it was already obvious Planned Parenthood convinced him the "good" they would be doing for the young women who came into their "clinic" for their "services". He also mentioned they had bullet proof windows installed to protect them from the violent Pro-Lifers. The Pro-Life representatives explained to him is the only violence taking place at 610 Louis Drive in Warminster is inside Planned Parenthood, in the expectant mother's womb.

Eyewitness Account of the Kermit Gosnell Trial

Note: The following was sent to me by the president of the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition via e-mail. It was sent to her by a pro-life person who was present in the courtroom at the trial last Tuesday.

This is the most accurate of what I witnessed today:

Re Commonwealth of PA v Kermit Gosnell

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

Court opened with a defense motion for acquittal on some charges against Kermit Gosnell. 

Defense of the RICO charges was made based on being ‘non-repetitive’ , and rebutted by prosecution as repetition shown in the 3 counts of theft by deception, in that Ms. O’Neill (who is being tried with Kermit Gosnell) held herself out repetitively as a doctor, which she was not licensed.  Prosecution reminded the court that even the head nurse at Gosnell’s “Women’s Health Center” was surprised that Ms. O’Neill was not a licensed doctor.  Prosecution alleged that Kermit Gosnell could not continue his business in the volume he did, esp. on Wednesdays, without having had another doctor.  This shows a pattern of repetition, racketeering and repetitive corruption at the Gosnell Women’s Health Center.

In terms of the Abuse of a Corpse charges, the Defense complained that a charge per incidence, i.e. 5 baby feet in 5 jars equaling 5 charges of abuse of a corpse is inappropriate somehow.  Argued that there were only 3 feet in 3 jars, and the gestation period of the fetuses were 22 weeks, 19 weeks and within the first trimester.  Prosecution rebutted saying that there is no definition of a corpse (as the Defense alleged), and is subject to common sense surrounding movement of a voluntary muscle, while in the abortion statute a “born alive” baby must be ‘completely expelled from the mother’s body’, which these children were qualified.

Arguments were heard with regard to the multiple Infanticide charges about movement of the children showing as born alive prior to Gosnell having cut their necks by ‘snipping’ them with scissors. 

Adjudication reduced the number of charges of Infanticide and acquitted the Abuse of a Corpse charges.  All other charges remain which includes Murder and Infanticide, including Baby A, Baby E (“Crying Baby”) among others. 

Defense for Ms. O’Neill then began.   Dr. Stuart – the precipitator for Eileen O’Neill’s PA doctor’s license (seeming achieved in the 2010-2011 timeframe) vouching as to her competence, testified as to Ms. O’Neill’s being a “peaceful, law-abiding and honest”, as well as “compassionate” person.  

David Huff, FBI Special Agent, who worked in Healthcare Fraud Division, Drug Diversion squad for 7 years, during the time of interfacing with the defendant, Eileen O’Neill, testified as to the timing of her having been initially approached for questioning, then later Mirandizing her at the time she came to be in custody…..”if not in custody, no need to Mirandize”.   During the course of his testimony, reference was made to an initial interview where she stated that “Doctor was always there” while she was working, then after further discussion “came off some of the lies” saying that “75% of the time while she was treating, Doctor Gosnell was present.” 

Frank L. Patchiolli, FBI Special Agent, Philadelphia Div., then testified as to the presence of Ms. O’Neill treating a patient at the time of his having arrived at 3801 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia, PA in order to execute a search warrant.  Apparently Dr. Gosnell was not present, but was in his car at that time.  

Comment:  My husband and I don’t understand how the two FBI agents were called as a defense witnesses. 

Two former Gosnell workers/patients then provided testimony as to Ms. O’Neill’s competence and compassion, though no specifics could be remembers as to the time and nature of conversations where Ms. O’Neill was to have revealed her not being a licensed physician.

Finally, Defense brought Ms. O’Neill’s brother and mother to the stand as character witnesses.  The effectiveness of these witnesses seemed to Tony & me as somewhat light because of their being family members.

Court adjourned.

A Good Friday Pilgrimage and Prayer Vigil at the Bucks County, PA Planned Parenthood

For more than 10 years, the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition of PA has held a pilgrimage and prayer vigil every Good Friday morning.  The procession starts at Nativity of Our Lord Church and proceeds over Street Road to the Planned Parenthood facility.
