PA Abortion Clinics Inspection Reports Online

When Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia “House of Horrors” abortion facility was closed in 2010 it was not because of vigilant oversight by the Pennsylvania Department of Health -- it was the indirect result of an investigation into illegal prescription drug activity at the clinic.  Up to that point, inspections at the Gosnell clinic were irregular in the early years of his practice which opened in 1979 and then non-existent for the last 17 years.  In response to the horrific conditions found at the clinic during an FBI raid, Pennsylvania lawmakers in 2011 passed regulations that abortion centers must be licensed as outpatient surgical centers with routine inspections. These inspection surveys (for all healthcare facilities) are posted online on the Pennsylvania Department of Health website

The website states:
“The information posted on the Department of Health's website is posted in accordance with requirements imposed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). These healthcare facility search pages contain information regarding healthcare facility compliance with regulatory requirements for licensure and for certification. Licensure permits the facility to operate in Pennsylvania. Certification permits the facility to claim and receive payment for services rendered from the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The Department of Health, as state licensing agency and State Survey Agency for CMS, conducts both routine and special inspections of health care facilities to determine ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements which is a condition of licensure and certification. If, during an inspection, the Department determines a facility does not meet regulatory requirements for licensure and certification, the Department notifies the facility in a Statement of Deficiencies. Health care facilities are required to submit a Plan of Correction in response to the Statement of Deficiencies. The Plan of Correction is mandatory, regardless whether the facility agrees with Department findings or not, and is the means by which the Department monitors and ensures correction of deficiencies. As long as the facility submits a Plan of Correction, the facility may continue to operate and receive Medicare and Medicaid payment, while deficiencies are being corrected. A Plan of Correction, for purposes of licensure and certification, is not an admission of wrongdoing on the part of the facility.”

As an example, during its most recent inspection in August 2016, The Planned Parenthood of Northeast Philadelphia was recorded with approximately seven non-compliance issues involving medication storage, medical records, fire safety and procedural issues. Plans of correction were completed by October 2016.

Below are links for a few Pennsylvania abortion center inspection surveys.  If you are interested in locating the same type of data for abortion centers in other states, you can start with the Department of Health in your state but it may take some digging to locate the information and is dependent upon your state’s registration and licensing requirements for abortion clinics.

TWO Precious Babies Saved from Abortion!

Dear Friend of Life:

Sidewalk Advocates in over 110 locations across our country and world sacrifice countless hours standing on the sidewalk in front of abortion facilities each week, offering hope and help to women-in-crisis through the power of love and peaceful outreach. Blistering hot sun or freezing snow, they pray to reach as many hearts as possible.

Sometimes, it's not easy. Some locations deal with folks who mock them, shout at them, and try to prevent them from speaking to the women entering the abortion facility. Despite any challenges they may face, our Sidewalk Advocates persevere for love of their preborn brothers and sisters — children they may never meet (though, sometimes, they do!).

The question they are most frequently asked? Is it worth it?  Well, a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

To see Baby Kevin (pictured above), saved from abortion: YES, it is worth it!

And for Baby Cameron (pictured below), saved from abortion: YES, it is worth it!

To share one of these miraculous stories: This precious little boy, Cameron, was saved from abortion by God's grace on December 3rd when three members of our national team were on the sidewalk together, praying and peacefully reaching out...and mom and dad said YES to the offer of help and chose life!!

It was a constant continuum of support as we had to keep encouraging mom to choose life throughout her pregnancy ...and she courageously did so every step of the way.
So yes, every challenge, every moment spent on the sidewalk is worth it — if it can save the life of even one of these precious babies, made in the image and likeness of God.

Either way, we know that no time on the sidewalk is wasted: God is using us in ways unseen, at times, to plant seeds in the hearts of those at the abortion facility or those passing by. Sometimes we witness those seeds blossom to evident victories on the sidewalk, and sometimes we look forward to the full realization of that impact once we are with Him.

Know that your prayers, financial support, and presence are making a profound difference!

Want to join us on the sidewalk? Here are two great options...

1. Find a current Sidewalk Advocates for Life location near you (to get trained) at sidewalkadvocates.org/locations.
2. Feel called to bring SAFL's peaceful, prayerful sidewalk advocacy program to YOUR local community this summer? Applications are open now until May 31 at 11:59 pm CST!

Every one of us has a role to play in ending abortion — whether we are a donor, trained Sidewalk Advocate (or peaceful sidewalk counselor), or prayer volunteer. Thank you for saying "YES" to the call the Lord has placed on your heart, and for the role you play in saving precious children like Kevin and Cameron!

In Christ, for Life,

Abortionists Put Lipstick On A Pig

By Martin Fox, President
National Pro-Life Alliance

The abortion lobby is always trying to dress abortion up to mask the fact that it ends an innocent human life.

Now, the latest wave of propaganda comes in the form of a new Planned Parenthood abortion mill in Washington D.C.

According to its CEO, this new abortion mill is designed to make women feel like they have stepped into a cross between a Starbucks and an Apple store.

For a whopping $19.7 million, Planned Parenthood built an abortion mill that offers a modern interior design intended to mask the grim nature of abortion with a vibrant and cheery atmosphere.
But as you and I well know, this abortion mill isn’t selling coffee or the latest tech.

The only thing this abortion mill produces is death.

Yet Washingtonian magazine applauded the abortion mill’s design, calling it, “the most thoughtfully designed of all the organization’s facilities nationwide."

It’s no coincidence that Planned Parenthood spent such a disproportionate amount of funds building their flagship abortion mill in Washington D.C., where legislators are sitting close by.

Planned Parenthood knows that as pro-lifers like you and me continue to expose the horrors of abortion, they are closer than ever to losing their annual $550 million in taxpayer funding.

That’s why you and I must continue to counter the abortion lobby’s pressure in Congress.

After all, no matter how much abortionists try to dress it up, their grisly practice still ends with the same thing: a dead baby.

State Department Announces New Plan to Dramatically Expand Mexico City Policy, Defund Pro-Abortion Organizations

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson

By Jonathan Abbamonte
Population REsearch Institute

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of State announced that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has approved of the new implementing guidelines for the Mexico City Policy recently reinstated by President Trump earlier this year. The State Department has retitled the policy, calling it the “Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance” policy.

The new implementing guidelines come after President Donald Trump issued a presidential memorandum[1] on January 23rd, 2017 reinstating the Mexico City Policy, a U.S. Government policy which prohibits funding for foreign nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that perform or promote abortion as a method of family planning.

The Mexico City Policy cuts the majority of U.S. Government funding for foreign pro-abortion NGOs such as the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and Marie Stopes International (MSI). According to IPPF’s own estimation, the pro-abortion organization is set to lose approximately $100 million in U.S. Government funding due to the Policy.

While previous versions of the Mexico City Policy under the Reagan, Bush (41), Clinton, and Bush (43) Administrations applied only to family planning assistance (formerly referred to as “population assistance”), the new Trump Policy was expanded to include “global health assistance furnished by all departments or agencies,” to the extent permitted by law.

The Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy will significantly expand upon the versions of the Mexico City Policy implemented under previous administrations.

Please Attend the Stand Up for Life Rally in Harrisburg, Pa. on Tuesday, June 6th

Picture is from the 2016 Rally
for Life in Harrisburg, Pa.

from Ted Meehan
Pro-Life Delco

The Culture of today is very different from the Culture of 1970. Back then, abortion was illegal and any politician who admitted to supporting it could never have been elected dog catcher. Motherhood was a revered state. Children were treasured and protected. But, today children are often rejected as burdens. Motherhood is demeaned. Supporters of abortion speak out with great passion and conviction for "choice" and "reproductive freedom" - which is their code word for killing babies in the womb.

This is not by accident. The campaign to normalize abortion was a slick piece of Madison Avenue disinformation. Nice-sounding words replaced the reality being discussed. Planned Parenthood and their allies in NARAL and NOW parroted the Orwellian "newspeak" ad nauseam. "Choice" became the stylish way to think. Our side was woefully unprepared to enter the battle - especially when we were disarmed by the media from using accurate words to project Truth. We weren't allows to be "Pro-Life". We had to be identified as "anti-choice", or after many battles as "anti-abortion". The entire issue had to be packaged around the false premise of Choice. But true choice implies two morally equal outcomes. Birth and abortion are hardly moral equals. Life and Death are hardly considered equal by anyone! Ironically, the most common reason given by women who have had abortions is, "Because I had no choice."

Those who shape the Culture are bent on projecting pro-lifers as "extremists" who want to "take away women's rights". Those who promote ABORTION refuse to even say or hear that word. They hate even more to acknowledge what happens in every abortion. They go apoplectic over pictures of this horrible reality. But they have successfully taken over the Culture, and so our duty is to be counter-Cultural, and to take back our language and our respect for Life.

We don't hear authentic Truth about abortion on TV, or on the radio, or by reading newspapers, or watching movies. Our legislators don't either. If they get advice from political operatives on abortion ("social issues"), it is to avoid speaking about them because they are "radioactive". But this lack or preparation leaves our elected officials weak and unprepared for the inevitable "gotcha" questions from opponents in a debate or from a hostile media. And they remain poorly prepared as they engage their pro-abortion adversaries. Planned Parenthood's message is clearly understood. We all hear it and can predict what they will say.

It is our task to spread the Truth. We want our representatives to speak with passion and conviction, and be able to cite real-life stories of Mothers and Fathers who have protected and welcomed their babies. These are happier and more compelling stories than those offered by Planned Parenthood's pro-abortion message machine. We need our elected officials to hear these joyful stories, and strengthen themselves as protectors of life. And so, we are bringing a group of magnificent, inspiring presenters to Harrisburg to speak Truth to Power. Your presence provides the forum to get our message into the news - to transform the Culture.

Pennsylvania is blessed with a very large Pro-Life majority in both the House and Senate. Our legislature is poised to recapture its leadership position among the United States in defending and protecting Life. Our elected officials will be listening and acting to advance the Cause. We want them to articulate a strong and powerful defense of Life. On June 6, we will hear from:
  • the amazing and inspiring pro-life Ob-Gyn Dr. Monique Ruberu;
  • Philadelphia TV and Radio host Christine Flowers;
  • Kurt Kondrich of Pittsburgh the tireless advocate for disabled children along with his beautiful daughter Chloe;
  • Pro-Life Caucus Leaders Rep. Kathy Rapp (House) and Sen. John Eichelberger (Senate); and former Rep. Mark McNaughton.
Each of Planned Parenthood's victories results in a baby's death and a hole in a mother's heart. There is no joy in such "victories". Abortion victories always end in Death and Despair. Our victories result in the joy of a baby being born. Our victories bring Joy! Please add your voice to this important event. Come to Harrisburg on June 6, and help to spark the light of our Pro-Life message into the darkness of the Culture of Death.

Note: We have created a Facebook event for this rally. You can access this event page by clicking here. Please go there and indicate you are going to attend or are interested. Also, here is a link for the flyer for this event. Please print out copies and distribute them to all your friends. We need to have as many people as possible attend this Rally next Tuesday.

Aerial Banner to be Flown Over Waco, Texas for the Pro-Life Rally on June 10th

From John Pisciotta, Director
Pro-Life Waco

I just received confirmation today. An airplane will fly from Austin to Waco to circle downtown Waco displaying massive pro-life banners for the Stand Up for Women and Babies Rally on Saturday, June 10. This is what you will see.

The 20’x30’ main banner and the 5’x40’ trailer banner will be flown over Waco beginning at 8:45 a.m. and ending shortly after 9 a.m. The airplane will fly to Waco with the banner on display for the entire flight from Austin!

Don’t let yourself and your friends miss out on this historic event. Our message to Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas is that no community will oppose the shedding of innocent blood like the Central Texas community. We are not whiners. We are not complacent. We are active and bold prayer warriors and foot soldiers who care deeply about the lives of babies in the womb. And we will work for abundant lives for moms, dads, and families.

This weekend is one of just two weekends before the rally on the morning of June 10. Please do all you can in the days ahead to promote the rally to your friends and members of your church congregation. Ask for your pastor’s support. You can print copies of the flyer for the event.  Here is a link for the full-page flyer.  And here is a  link for a smaller version of the flyer, two flyers to one page.

The flyer (see below) is in color. However, they can be printed in black and white and will look nice. Let me know if you have any questions.

The purposes of the Stand Up for Women and Babies Rally are not simply to experience a historic, exciting and enjoyable event. The purpose is to help build of the remnant of the Body of Christ that will stand in the gap for the precious little ones loved so much by our Lord.

Also, I have a Facebook event for the rally.  You can access this event by clicking here.   Please go there and indicate you are going to attend or are interested.

If you read this in time, you can still get out to the pedestrian overpass outreach at I-35 near Baylor. This powerful outreach begins at 10 a.m. and ends at noon. Take South 8th street to I-35 and park near Panera Bread (1000 S. 8th Street). There is plenty of street parking available.

As the rally of June 10 becomes more dynamic, costs for the event are rising. I do not ask for Pro-Life Waco to be a top outlet for your stewardship. I do ask each one of you to include PLW in your stewardship. I ask you to consider “investing” to support the cost of over $5,000 for the rally and a budget of $50,000 to promote the Gospel of Life in McLennan AND dozens of surrounding counties in 2017.

Two ways to contribute. Go to www.prolifewaco.com On every page of the site you will see a red Support button. Click on the button and follow instructions. Additionally, you can donate the old-fashioned way. You can send a check to Pro-Life Waco, PO Box 7771, Waco, TX 76714.

It is not easy for me to ask for contributions. However, I have dedicated my retirement to being a life defender because this is so vital and deserving of financial support. This may not be a very professional appeal. In truth, I am not a professional. I am simply part of the Central Texas Christian remnant battling the unspeakable injustice of abortion that leaves moms, dads, and families in disarray.

I am excited about how are coming together in ways that will meet the Lord’s call to be doers of the Word.

Investigative Video Hints at Constant Financial Profit from Aborted Baby Body Parts

By Suzanne Michelle-Hanson
Live Action News

With the release of the latest video from The Center for Medical Progress came reminders of the driving force behind the aborted baby parts industry — money. Even in the newly-released short preview video, the talk of procuring body parts for money was abundant.

Planned Parenthood and NAF abortionists laugh about heads getting stuck and discuss dismembering fully formed babies.
The sampling of talk about money in a matter of minutes included multiple comments from multiple top Planned Parenthood staffers:
“I get a lot of oohs and ahhs from StemExpress [biotech firm]. You know, they’re wanting livers. . . . Last week I was in Sacramento, and she said, “I need four intact limbs.” And I said, you want what?- Dr. Leslie Drummond, an abortionist from Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.
“There’s a lot of clinics that we work with that, I mean, it helps them out significantly.” – A StemExpress procurement manager, commenting on how StemExpress paying for the aborted parts helps the abortion centers financially.
“But the truth is that some might want to do it to increase their revenues. And we can’t stop them” Deb VanDerhei, the national director of Planned Parenthood Consortium of Abortion Providers (CAPS) for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA).
“I think a financial incentive from you guys [referring to CMP workers posing as fetal parts buyers]… the people who we have to get this approved from will be very happy about it” – Dr. Stacy De-Lin, Planned Parenthood abortionist in NYC.

Abortion clinic tries to silence pro-life media, takes LifeSite to court

Lianne Laurence and Patrick B. Craine
Life Site News

An abortion facility is petitioning the courts in Canada to block LifeSiteNews from identifying its abortionist and other staff members.

LifeSiteNews went to court this week to fight a publication ban on the trial of pro-life activist Mary Wagner. Wagner has been jailed since December after allegedly entering Toronto’s Bloor West Village Women’s Clinic in an effort to convince women to choose life for their babies.

On Thursday, Judge Rick Libman of the Ontario Court of Justice ruled against an interim publication ban, leaving LifeSiteNews free to publish details of the case, pending a full hearing on the publication ban June 9.

The Crown only filed its application for the ban days before Wagner’s trial, which was to begin May 25. It seeks to ban any information that could identify women seeking abortions or “civilian” witnesses — abortion center staff and the abortionist — at the trial.

The ban would cover all exhibits filed at trial, including surveillance video footage inside the abortion center the day Wagner was arrested, as well as the contents of the application for the publication ban.

The Crown’s application specifically singled out LifeSiteNews, which reports on Wagner more than any other news outlet.

The Crown only notified LifeSiteNews of the application on Tuesday, and provided no supporting evidence until Thursday morning, just before Wagner's trial was to begin.

LifeSiteNews then launched an 11th hour defence of Wagner’s right to an open trial and its own right to publish details of the abortion industry.

Toronto lawyer Phil Horgan appeared in court on behalf of LifeSiteNews to contest the publication ban, which he described as an “extraordinary proposition.”

On Thursday, Horgan requested an adjournment of the matter so LifeSiteNews could prepare a defence, but not a delay of Wagner’s trial.

Wagner, 42, has been in jail since her arrest December 12, 2016 because she refuses in conscience to accept bail conditions requiring her to stay away from abortion centers.

Vice-President Mike Pence: “We Have a President Who, Without Apology, Stands for the Sanctity of Human Life”

By Matthew Wagner
Life News

Vice President Mike Pence, a stalwart pro-lifer, recently made another stop in Pennsylvania, giving the commencement address at Grove City College. For his full remarks click here, but of particular note was this comment:

“And I can’t tell you how proud I am to be Vice President to a President who stands without apology for the sanctity of life and all the God-given liberties in the Constitution of the United States.”
The Trump Administration has given pro-lifers a renewed sense of hope after eight years of pro-abortion President Barack Obama. Some of the administration’s pro-life accomplishments so far include:

Vice President Mike Pence’s speech at the 2017 March for Life in Washington DC represented the first time a sitting Vice President spoke at the March.

President Trump reinstated a policy that prevents organizations receiving federal foreign aid from performing abortions or promoting them.

President Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Now confirmed he will be a Justice in the mold of the late beloved Justice Antonin Scalia.

President Trump appointed avid pro-lifers to key cabinet positions including Kellyanne Conway as Senior Advisor, Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services, Nikki Haley as UN Ambassador, and Ben Carson as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

President Trump even signed an executive order saying his administration will “provide regulatory relief for religious objectors to Obamacare’s burdensome preventive services mandate, a position supported by the Supreme Court decision in Hobby Lobby.”

Guess How Many Abortion Clinics Use the Word 'Abortion' in Their Name

Jackson Women's Health Organization in Jackson, MS

Christian Post

Out of 1,800 abortion clinics in the U.S., including 730 stand-alone mills, how many would you expect to include the word "abortion" in their name?

Try one: the Abortion Surgery Center in Norman, Okla.

On one hand, it's entirely understandable that abortion businesses avoid the word "abortion" like the plague it is. On the other hand, the fact that virtually no clinics identify themselves by what they actually do reveals an awful lot about a truly awful industry.

It also cuts the legs out from under one of the abortion lobby's favorite charades: to fake outrage about the names pregnancy centers use for themselves. Terms that are off-limits to pregnancy centers, so the argument goes, include but are not limited to "choice," "options," "health," and "clinic."

If the abortion lobby had its way, every pregnancy center would bear the name, "Jesus is Antichoice and Demands You Choose Anything But Abortion." Kind of catchy in its own way, isn't it?

On a more serious note, this ludicrous assertion has found its way into state laws in California, Illinois and Hawaii, with lawmakers deducing that since pro-life pregnancy centers don't name themselves according to the proposed standards of abortion special-interest groups, they must be deceptive.

Once again, the abortion industry is entirely unwilling to take its own medicine.

The latest example of this particular anti-pregnancy center trope came Tuesday courtesy of Vice.com. Overviewing the seven states down to just one abortion business, the report quotes Sharon Lewis, the director of West Virginia's last mill.
"We have a neighbor, a crisis pregnancy center, that changed their name to Women's Choice to confuse patients who intend to come here and end up in their doorway," Lewis, said. "They have a marquee out front that says, 'Considering abortion? Free pregnancy test.'"
Lewis' statement obviously went without a quick fact-check from Vice, since the name of the pregnancy center next door is actually "Woman's Choice Pregnancy Resource Center," which has been serving the community since 1977 and located next door to the abortion clinic in 2013.

Without any sense of irony, Lewis — whose abortion business is innocuously called, "Women's Health Center of West Virginia" — goes on to admit that it's actually she and other abortion providers throughout the state who are on a mission to deceive women.
"Until this year there were two facilities in the state that advertised abortion care," Lewis said. "I believe there are private doctors who do certain procedures for friends and family. But they're not called abortions."
"They're not called abortions?" Whatever does she mean?

Woman with Down Syndrome Addresses United Nations About Her ‘Right to Live’

Nancy Flanders
Live Action News
After watching the documentary, “A World Without Down Syndrome,” 21-year-old Charlotte Helene Fien, who has Down syndrome and autism, wrote a speech about her right to life which she would later read in front of the United Nations.
“In the 1930’s and 1940’s, the Nazis decided to get rid of all disabled people,” she said. “More than 200,000 disabled people were murdered, including many children with Down syndrome. Today the same thing is happening.
A test that checks for Down syndrome is being used to kill all babies with Down syndrome. In Iceland, Denmark, and China, not a single baby with Down syndrome has been born for seven years. Seven years! The goal is to eradicate
Down syndrome in the future. This makes me angry and very sad.”

Fien went on to say that while she had Down syndrome, she is not suffering, she is not ill, and none of her friends with Down syndrome are suffering either. They go to the pub, have boyfriends, and plan for the future.
“We just have an extra chromosome,” she said. “We are still human beings. We are human beings.”
She asks people not to feel sorry for her and says she loves her life. She loves to play golf and wants to teach children to play golf. She travels independently to other countries and doesn’t let Down syndrome hold her back.
“Please do not try to kill us all off,” she asks. “Do not allow this test. If you do allow it you are no better than the Nazis […] I have a right to live and so do other people like me.”

Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic Opens Next to Immigration Office to Prey on Hispanic Women

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Planned Parenthood opened a new abortion clinic in Memphis, Tennessee this month to target Spanish-speaking women and their unborn babies.

The abortion chain has a history of targeting minorities for abortions. A survey of their surgical abortion facilities in 2010 found that 79 percent are located within walking distance of African American or Latino neighborhoods.

Officials from the Memphis Planned Parenthood even told the Memphis Business Journal that “better serv[ing] the city’s growing Spanish-speaking population” is one of their goals for the new abortion facility.
“We know that our services will be more and more vital to women and families across the Mid-South in the years ahead, and we are so grateful to be able to accommodate them here,” said Ashley Coffield, president of the abortion group’s Tennessee branch. “With our community’s phenomenal support, we are growing to meet that need.”
The new abortion facility is Planned Parenthood’s second location in Memphis. It opened May 1.

Planned Parenthood spent $2.7 million to renovate and open the new abortion clinic; and it expects to reach about 7,000 additional patients there, according to the report.

ColorLines reports the abortion facility is located next to an Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) office, and some abortion activists are upset that the proximity could make undocumented immigrants afraid to visit Planned Parenthood.

Painful Early Abortions

Martin Fox, President
National Pro-Life Alliance

The more technology advances, the clearer the horror of abortion becomes.

For example, researchers have long agreed that unborn babies can feel pain after twenty weeks.

But a recent study suggests that unborn babies may be able to feel pain much earlier.

Using the latest technology to build a 3D cellular model of the unborn baby, researchers discovered an “adult-like pattern of skin innervation” as early as just five weeks.

That means that at just five weeks, before many women even know they are pregnant, these unborn babies can already feel pain.

In fact, researchers say that the pain may be worse during the early stages of pregnancy.

Yet abortionists somehow have no problem ripping these babies apart or sucking them out of their mothers’ wombs with a vacuum powerful enough to crush a tin can -- thus ending innocent lives.

Of course we all know that from the moment of conception the unborn have their own unique DNA separate from the mother’s.

And in just the first few weeks, unborn babies already have fingers and toes, measurable brainwaves, and a beating heart.

The National Pro-Life Alliance occupies a unique and important role in the pro-life movement. The focus of many other pro-life organizations is research, publications or counseling. These are all important and worthy activities, but the National Pro-Life Alliance is singular in its focus on passing pro-life legislation that will protect the unborn from the moment of conception onward.

Today's Action Update from Pro-Life Waco

  1. Promote the rally on June 10 to all your friends.
  2. I-35 pro-life overpass outreach
  3. 10 minutes at Planned Parenthood
  4. Donate $19 or more to PLWAustin

John Pisciotta, Director
Pro-Life Waco

It is May of 2017. For many Christians in Central Texas life has a different feel compared to May 2016. This is the first full month in four years during which Planned Parenthood has inflicted the shedding of innocent blood on babies of McLennan and surrounding counties at 1121 Ross Ave. When will we again feel tranquil in our Christian walk? I believe the answer should be: not until the baby killing stops. Pro-Life Waco and this newsletter are dedicated to the proposition that complacency must not resume as long as Waco is a city where a human holocaust takes place each year, each month, each week. I am upset. I have no desire for the feeling to pass. We must respond honorably, persistently, and effectively against the devastating wound ravaging nearby families. Are you in? If yes, you will act on at least one of the initiatives below in the coming week. I ask pro-life fans to consider becoming pro-life foot soldiers.

1. Promote the big rally in Waco on June 10 to family members and church friends.

Sadly, abortion has returned at Planned Parenthood in Waco. Waco is the closest abortion facility for dozens of Texas counties. In addition to Sue Thayer, there will also be a handful of speakers from Texas. The name of the rally is “Stand Up for Women and Babies.” This dynamic rally will inform, touch hearts, and prepare Christians for outreach to challenge the shedding of innocent blood in our community.
To have this impact we want hundreds of people to be with us. My action request is for you to promote the rally to your family, employment, and church friends. For your out-of-town friends, offer to take them to The Silos for al visit with Chip and Joanna Gaines. This flyer describing the rally is accessible as a PDF file at this link.

2. Rise up to the I-35 overpass to proclaim the pro-life message

We should experience good weather and massive traffic Saturday, May 27, from 10 AM to noon at the pedestrian overpass near Baylor. Make this your first overpass outreach. Don’t procrastinate. We have good messages on our signs. However, the strongest message is the personal witness of Central Texans showing with their initiative that Central Texas is pro-life country. Take South 8th street to I-35 and park near Panera Bread (1000 S. 8th Street). There is plenty of street parking available.

3. Spend 10 minutes at Planned Parenthood, 1121 Ross Ave.

To become a part of the battle against abortion in “your backyard”, I think you just have to see where the abortions are taking place. This is not easy. To make it a little easier, I suggest you go out when there are other foot soldiers on site. This would be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday. This is the time that assuredly the CareNet staff and sonogram van will be on site. You will be out there in the comfort of being with friends. Pray. Visit. Ask for a tour of the beautiful, lifesaving, soul nurturing SOS van.

4. Donate $19 or more to Pro-Life Waco

I must ask for financial support. PLW has never money at the pace required by the challenges of the 2017 return of the shedding of innocent blood in Waco. The cost of the promotion and rally on June 10 will be substantial. The rental of Heritage Square is $1000. I ask you for a $19 donation because, as near as I can tell, the first day on which pre-born babies lost their lives in 2017 in Waco was April 19. So, your $19 donation will be a direct counter to the deadly initiative of Planned Parenthood. Of course, PLW would accept larger donations. $19 for 12 months would be $228. Perhaps there is an angel receiving this email who will fund the $1000 rental of Heritage Square. $500 would pay most of the cost for our billboards for one month. With past annual budgets of a little less than $40k and no salary payment, Pro-Life Waco delivers maximum impact from your dollars. To battle the second era in Waco of the destruction of babies in the womb, I am hoping PLW annual funding can reach $50k.

Two ways to contribute. Go to www.prolifewaco.com. On every page you will see a red Support button. Click on the button and follow instructions. You will have the option to make a one-time contribution or monthly contributions to keep fuel in the Pro-Life Waco tank. Additionally, we accept donations the old-fashioned way. You can send a check to Pro-Life Waco, PO Box 7771, Waco, TX 76714. I thank you for considering my request for support of one of the strongest local action ministries in our great state and great country.

Abortion Facility Advises Incest Victim to Call Medicaid — Not Police

By Nancy Flanders
Live Action News

In a new undercover call released on May 22 by Priests for Life and Abortion Free New Mexico, a minor can be heard telling a staff member of a late term abortion clinic that she is 26 weeks pregnant by a family member. The incest victim tells the staff member that she is just 16 years old and asks if she can get an abortion without her family finding out about the abortion or the incest.

“I’m wondering if I can get an abortion even though I’m under 18 and what my parents have to know about it,” the caller says. “I mean I’ve known I’ve been pregnant for a while but it was an older family member that did this to me and I really don’t want them to know that.”
The clinic staff member tells the caller about the laws in New Mexico and informs her that she can have an abortion without her parents’ knowledge if she is under 18 years of age and 26 weeks pregnant. Then the staffer tells the caller that an abortion will cost $7,500. The girl says she doesn’t have insurance — but if she were on her parents’ insurance and trying to hide the pregnancy and abuse, she wouldn’t have been able to use it anyway without her parents’ knowledge.

The abortion facility staffer tells her the clinic can loan her 20 percent of the cost and advises her to call Medicaid to ask for emergency pregnancy Medicaid, which may cover the entire cost of the abortion. It appears the clinic is more concerned with making money than getting actual help for this girl, who could quite possibly be sent straight from the abortion back to her abuser.
“This latest undercover call continues to rip the veil off the abortion industry and show our nation what even most ‘pro-choice’ people oppose: late term abortion of healthy babies, paid for by taxpayers, and conducted by an industry which provides cover for sexual predators,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life.
