Volunteer, Make a Difference ...Hopefully Save a Life

By Bob Kellogg
One News Now

A student-led pro-life group is hosting its third annual "National Pro-Life Sidewalk Day" on Saturday. Those involved hope to convince women heading into abortion clinics to change their minds, turn around, and leave.

Matt Lamb, spokesman for Students for Life of America, acknowledges that many people participate in sidewalk counseling regularly. But this event, he says, offers a unique opportunity for those volunteers to come together with students and community members across the nation all on the same day.

Lamb encourages any pro-life person or group to volunteer. "... We're looking to do sidewalk counseling and to reach out to people who are in need," he explains. "... You can sign up on our website and we have some recordings and trainings you can do – and we have great staff that will be happy to train you or your group to have a successful sidewalk day."

Lamb
The pro-life group argues that the "turnaround rate" is much higher when someone considering an abortion is counseled by those who look like peers. "It's easier always to talk to someone who's your own age than talk to someone who's older or younger," Lamb adds.

The SFLA website offers a list of basic "do's and don'ts" for successful sidewalk counseling, such as DO pray for guidance, have compassion, and show each woman you care about her – not just the child; and DON'T yell, appear grumpy, socialize, or carry signs.

The website also identifies the following locations for Saturday's observance: Granite City, IL; Houston, TX; San Antonio, TX; Austin, TX; Aurora, IL; and San Jose, CA.

Ball State University Denies Funds for Pro-Life Student Group But Finances Pro-Abortion Groups

By Alliance Defending Freedom
Life News

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday against Ball State University officials on behalf of a student organization denied funding because of its pro-life views. The university has applied a student activity fee policy in a way that unconstitutionally discriminates against the viewpoints of groups like Students for Life while favoring other campus groups with ideological views that university officials favor.

In February, BSU Students for Life applied to receive $300 from mandatory student activity fees to share educational resources with pregnant and parenting students.

Officials denied Students for Life’s request because the organization advocates for pro-life views; however, the Student Activity Fee Committee distributed funding from the same pool to organizations that advocate for viewpoints administrators prefer, including Feminists for Action, Secular Student Alliance, and Spectrum.
“Public universities are supposed to provide a marketplace of ideas, but that market can’t function properly if the heavy hand of government promotes some views over others,” said ADF Legal Counsel Caleb Dalton.
“While Ball State University pledges to ‘respect and learn from differences in people, ideas, and opinions,’ it has failed to respect or listen to Students for Life. The college’s unconstitutional actions treat these pro-life students as second-class, denying full participation in campus life while mandating every pro-life student pay more than $1,000 in student fees per year that help fund opposing viewpoints.”
The university gave power to the Student Activity Fee Committee to decide whether a group may be eligible to receive funding. The lawsuit, Students for Life at Ball State University v. Hall, points out that this sweeping authority allows them to deny recognition and funding for any reason, including unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.

ADF attorneys explain that public universities cannot refuse to approve a student group without justification and must ensure recognition and student activity funding are approved in a viewpoint-neutral manner.
“Ball State University says it pledges to ‘value the intrinsic worth of every member of the community,’ but its student government is playing favorites and stifling free speech,” said Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins.
“If BSU wants to respect every member of its community, it will give Students for Life, along with other groups, equal footing. We support the free-speech rights of all students, encourage the open exchange of ideas, and ask that the rights of pro-life students be respected as their peers’ rights are.”

April 11th: Pro-Life Students Will Protest Abortion After School Shooting Walkouts

By Nancy Flanders
Live Action News

On April 11, 2018, pro-life high school students will walk out of their schools at 10 am for 17 minutes, to stand up for the lives of preborn children and spark a much-needed conversation about abortion.

Brandon Gillespie, a student at Rocklin High School in Sacramento, California, saw an opportunity for a pro-life walkout after students across the country staged walkouts against access to guns and gun violence in schools.

One of Gillespie’s teachers, Julianne Benzel, was placed on administrative leave after asking the students if they think there is a double standard and if there were an abortion walkout, whether the school would support it as they supported the gun violence walkout. That got Gillespie thinking.
“My teacher was placed on administrative leave because she simply asked the question of is there is a double standard,” Gillespie told Live Action News. “That really inspired me and I wanted to put that to the test and see if the school district would allow a walkout for students with a more conservative topic.”
Gillespie scheduled a meeting with the school principal Dave Stewart on March 23, 2018, and while he has yet to receive an answer, Gillespie is moving forward with a plan for the pro-life walkout.
“I met with him on Friday and he was unable to give me a direct answer as to whether or not I could have the walkout,” explained Gillespie. “He said he has to talk to more people from the school district about it. I’m asking for the exact same thing as the other group except it’s a different topic. He will be getting back to me on April 2nd.”
Gillespie believes he will receive approval for the walkout since he is requesting the exact same time and duration for his walkout as the school approved for the gun violence walkout. If the pro-life walkout is refused, that would prove there is a double standard.
“If he says we can’t do it, I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet,” said Gillespie. “But it would be a violation of my First Amendment and 14th Amendment rights. Most likely I would work with a legal team, but I’m not 100 percent sure yet.”
READ: Despite discrimination, pro-life student groups press on

Gillespie said that about 75 percent of Rocklin students participated in the walkout on gun violence, but he is unsure of how many students may join him for the pro-life walkout. However, students from around the United States have been contacting him on planning walkouts at their own schools.

“I’ve been spreading the word through social media on Twitter with #life and #prolifewalkout,” he said. “A lot of people have contacted me saying they like what I’m doing and they want to talk to their school about it.”
Students for Life of America has also reached out to Gillespie, providing him with support, legal help, and training, as well as advice on building a website and using social media.

Students Plan Pro-Life Walkout After School Supported Anti-Gun Protest

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

High school students across the country have organized walk outs to draw attention to horrible shootings that have taken place at schools nationwide. Now, pro-life students in Sacramento California are organizing a walk out to draw attention to another horrific form of violence, abortions that kill unborn babies.

Here’s more:

This week, Rocklin High School students are using social media to organize pro-life walkout using the hashtag #life.

“To honor all the lives of aborted babies pretty much. All the millions of aborted babies every year,” said organizer Brandon Gillespie.
He says his history teacher inspired the idea. The pro-life students are worried they’re facing a double standard that could imperil their free speech.

Brandon says protesting on school grounds is just the point.

“I would like to see if there really is a double standard and what will come of that,” he said.
He doesn’t have a date for the protest, but he does with the principal. Their meeting is set for this Friday.

Responding to the news, Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins told LifeNews she appreciates the students drawing attention to the violence of abortion.

“Brandon Gillespie is a terrific example of the passion this pro-life generation has, and his courageous effort to draw attention to the reality that more lives have been lost in our generation to abortion than all other causes should be national news. It’s estimated that more than 650,000 preborn infants die in abortions annually, a loss that grieves many Americans,” she said.
Hawking continued: “Having opened to door to student-lead walkouts as a way to express a political or cultural viewpoint, schools cannot shut that door to pro-life students who also are moved by the loss of life and horrific realities of the toll of abortion. Pro-life students deserve the same respect and accommodation that anti-gun student activists experienced.

There is a reason this is the pro-life generation, more pro-life than their parents even; it is because they have witnessed just how harmful abortion is to women and their pre-born infants. They are the survivors who know abortion is not the simple fix, but a life-changing, life-ending event.”

Hawkins took issue with one pro-abortion student who said abortion is not relevant to high school students, even though teens are getting abortions on a daily basis..

She said: “In the initial media reports about this student-lead effort, one student is quoted as saying ‘Abortions aren’t really anything that has to do with school or students here.’ Sadly that is not the case. Educating students about how abortion and those who sell it have infiltrated the culture and covered up just how dangerous abortion can be is reason enough to welcome Brandon’s effort to talk about something which does impact us all.”

University Removes Poster Honoring Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger After Pro-Life Students Protest

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

Pro-life students in the state of Missouri are celebrating a victory today. They successfully got the campus library at the University of Missouri to take down a poster honoring racist Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger.

Mizzou Students for Life announced today that Ellis Library, the on-campus library, has removed a poster of Margaret Sanger from the Ellis Library. The removal is the end result of a request by Students for Life to remove Sanger from the library, because of her support for eugenics. The library originally said they were going to remove it during their next review, but has immediately removed it.

Kristen Wood, president of Mizzou Students for Life, applauded the library for its move.
“We applaud the library for removing the poster and no longer celebrating Margaret Sanger and her eugenicist views. At the same time, we have told the library we expect they will never put the poster back up again, and if they do we will continue with our petitions and public pressure.
The university should never be celebrating and promoting someone who publicly opposed people in poverty and racial minorities from having children, and someone who supported putting people on birth control to prevent them from having children,” she told LifeNews.
Ceci Haberdash, the group’s Public Relations Chair noted another benefit of the decision to take down the poster.

A well-known eugenicist, Sanger wrote and spoke frequently about how certain groups of human beings were less valuable than others.

Sanger’s thoughts about the poor, immigrants and others were just as ugly. She described them as “human weeds,” “reckless breeders” and “spawning … human beings who never should have been born” in her book “Pivot of Civilization.”

Sanger also wrote about getting rid of people with diseases and disabilities through sterilization and segregation, describing these “morons” as “a dead weight of human waste.”

Abortion Activists Vandalize Cross Display to Memorialize Babies Killed in Abortion

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

A pro-life student group at Northern Kentucky University had its display vandalized this month, adding to the growing reports of vandalism and threats against pro-lifers this fall.

WKYT reports the campus Students for Life group set up a cross display Sunday on campus to raise awareness about the number of unborn babies who are aborted every day in the United States.

However, sometime during the night, the crosses were pulled out of the ground, destroyed and stolen, according to the report.

Pro-life student Sebastian Torres said they filed a report with police. He said their group hopes someone with information about the vandalism will contact police.

“I think they were destroyed because students or faculty did not agree with the pro-life message of wanting to save children from abortion,” Torres said. “Unfortunately, instead of publicly debating us, they broke the law and destroyed private property.”
The Kentucky student group is not alone. Earlier this month, vandals at St. Louis University, a Catholic university in St. Louis, Missouri, destroyed a similar display set up by pro-life students.

South Carolina Citizens for Life also had its sign vandalized earlier this month. Someone spray painted over the sign and wrote profanities on it, group leader Holly Gatling told LifeNews.

Then, over the weekend, pro-life advocates in Dallas, Texas called a bomb squad after they found a suspicious package near their 40 Days for Life site. WFAA News 8 reports the Dallas Police Department later determined that the suspicious package was a hoax, quite possibly meant to scare pro-life advocates who peacefully pray outside a nearby abortion clinic.

Pro-lifers increasingly have become targets of vandalism, threats and harassment.

“Miscarriage Management:” What Planned Parenthood Will Call Abortion When It’s Illegal

By Kristan Hawkins
Life News

The nation’s largest abortion vendor, Planned Parenthood, finally got around to releasing their 2015-2016 annual report so their stakeholders (taxpayers) can get a look at what their hard-earned dollars are going toward.

The report is a doozy, as many in the pro-life movement guessed it would be. After all, 2015 was the year the public got a behind-the-scenes look at how Planned Parenthood abortionists sort through baby body parts to find ones they can sell and make money on — that’s illegal by the way.

Planned Parenthood kindly addresses this scandal on page 11, where they take the opportunity to repeat their talking points that the videos were “highly edited” and have been “discredited.”

Both are false. Planned Parenthood’s own forensic analysis, which was done by a sketchy Democratic firm, even said “that there was no ‘widespread evidence of substantive video manipulation.'” Another forensic analysis declared the videos from the Center for Medical Progress to be authentic.

There are plenty of things to note about the annual report: The number of abortions have increased, taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood has increased, cancer screenings have decreased, clients have decreased, breast exams have decreased, prenatal care was nearly cut in half.

But Planned Parenthood added an entirely new subcategory under “Other Women’s Health Services” called “Miscarriage Care.”

Students for Life and other pro-life organizations have no intentions or will ever shame a woman who miscarries, but this stood out for a specific reason. A former Planned Parenthood director talked about a similar term that would be used when abortion was eventually made illegal: “miscarriage management.”

Christian University Cuts Ties With Planned Parenthood After Pro-Life Students Protest

By Students for Life of America

Life News

In a huge win for the Students for Life group at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, the school has officially cut ties with the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood.

In an email to the campus today (full text below), Whitworth University president Beck Taylor wrote: “I recently instructed the Dornsife Center for Community Engagement not to renew that relationship. This is the only formal partnership the university currently has with Planned Parenthood. At the end of the current academic year, Whitworth will no longer offer credit-bearing service-learning placements or internships with the organization.”

Whitworth University bills itself as a Christian school of higher education.

“The school deserves credit for cutting Planned Parenthood from their campus community and providing an example of a Christian university making an attempt to educate and support students, rather than send them to the nation’s largest abortion provider,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America.
In October 2016, the Students for Life group at Whitworth University petitioned the school to sever their relationship with Planned Parenthood. The school offered for-credit internships and was listed as a ‘community partner’ on their website.

James Silberman, Whitworth SFL’s vice-president, even wrote a commentary piece in the school paper, about the detrimental relationship between the school and Planned Parenthood, which commits a third of the nation’s abortions, equal to 888 per day, 323,999 per year. He demanded the school renounce that partnership.

The email from the president of Whitworth University is obviously pained and while inaccurate (Planned Parenthood provides abortions, not “abortion-related services”), it is a big step in the right direction.

“The email reflects the current nature of the college campus environment, where abortion advocates don’t think twice about offending pro-life students, vandalizing their property, or threatening them on social media,” continued Hawkins. “But we are so proud of our pro-life students, who face adversity with courage and resolve every day and never back down from defending preborn lives and the women betrayed by Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry.”

Witches, Violent Protesters Show Up to Support Planned Parenthood at Pro-Life Rally

By Nancy Flanders
Life Site News

On Saturday, February 11, 2017, thousands of pro-lifers took to the streets outside of their local Planned Parenthood clinics to protest the abortion chain, educate people about the organization’s illegal and unethical practices, and showcase the need to defund the profitable non-profit. But they weren’t the only ones to show up. Pro-abortion and pro-Planned Parenthood counter-protesters made their presence known as well, in hopes of overshadowing pro-lifers.

Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, shared this image of three people dressed as witches, holding pro-abortion signs.
Hawkins wrote in an email that these three people were at the pro-life rally in St. Paul, Minnesota, and only stood silently, holding their signs. The fist sign, “Witches for Reproductive Freedom,” should really read “sexual freedom” and shows that they value sexual freedom over human lives and freedom to live.
The second sign, “‘Pro-Life’ is an Alternative Fact,” proves that they know very little of the pro-life movement. The sign could be implying that pro-lifers only care about people before they are born and not after, but nothing could be further from the truth. With a bit of research, these witches might be surprised to learn that pro-life organizations around the country offer access to health care, baby gear, clothing, parenting classes, daycare, continuing education, and even housing to women facing unexpected pregnancies.

The third sign, “Never Again” (featuring a coat hanger), is a typical pro-abortion mantra. What the witches may not realize is that the number of women seeking illegal abortions before Roe v. Wade was a fraction of what abortion proponents claimed they were. Dr. Bernard Nathanson, who co-founded the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), admitted to lying about the numbers:
We claimed that between five and ten thousand women a year died of botched abortions. The actual figure was closer to 200 to 300 and we also claimed that there were a million illegal abortions a year in the United States and the actual figure was close to 200,000. So, we were guilty of massive deception.
(Regarding illegal abortion, former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson has stated that in the event that abortion again becomes illegal, Planned Parenthood has a backup plan called “miscarriage management,” in which the organization would advise women how to self-abort — for a fee.)

The witches did not respond to questions, except to speak the name of their coven. Other pro-abortion protesters were not so quiet.

At the protest in Washington, D.C., pro-abortion counter-protesters blocked pro-lifers and shoved them, according to Students for Life. Police had to become physically involved and force the pro-abortion group back.

Watch This Pro-Life Teen Destroy Teen Vogue Over Their Post-Abortion ‘Gift Guide’

By Fr. Mark Hodges
Life Site News

Sixteen-year-old Autumn of Students for Life wants young girls to know that abortion shouldn't be viewed as frivolously as it is portrayed in a recent magazine article.

Autumn hosted a video in response to an article in Teen Vogue entitled "What to give a friend post-abortion."

"Since I'm a teen, this is directed toward me and I would like to respond," Autumn said.
"The point of the (Teen Vogue magazine) article is to make the situation as light-hearted and nonchalant as possible, in order to convince girls my age that abortion is no big deal," Autumn explained.
She said that saying abortion is not a big deal is "simply feeding us a lie."
"Abortion is a big deal. Abortion is scary," she said. "No one skips into that room as if they're having their hair highlighted or their nails painted."
Autumn critiqued the article's whole idea as misguided. "None of these gifts would make me feel better, and if they did make me feel better, that would mean I need serious counseling," she said.
The Students for Life leader considered the national girls' magazine article to be completely reprehensible. "Teen Vogue, you should be held accountable for this disgusting and disrespectful article. You trivialize an issue that leaves millions of women struggling every day," she charged.

Vice-President Mike Pence Invites Pro-Life Leaders to the White House, Obama Had Abortion Activists

National Right to Life President Carol Tobias
By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Just ahead of the March for Life, pro-life leaders received a special invitation to visit with Vice President Mike Pence at the White House.

Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, told Breitbart her invitation to the White House on the eve of the annual pro-life march brought her hope.
“I was so honored to have been invited to the White House the day before the March for Life to meet Vice President Mike Pence, who I have worked with years in the pro-life movement,” Hawkins told the news outlet. “We have no better ally as pro-lifers and as I’ve said before, Mike Pence was working to defund Planned Parenthood before it was cool.”

National Right to Life President Carol Tobias was another of the many pro-life leader to attend the Vice President’s event.

Pence is the former governor of Indiana who has a longtime pro-life position and a lengthy pro-life record putting pro-life legislation into law and voting pro-life as a member of Congress.
“Let me be clear: People who know me well know I’m pro-life, and I don’t apologize for it,” he said previously. “I want to live to see the day that we put the sanctity of life back at the center of American law, and we send Roe v. Wade to the ash heap of history, where it belongs.”
President Donald Trump’s stance on abortion was less clear initially, having previously described himself as pro-choice. He said a friend changed his mind about abortion, and he now is pro-life.

Trump’s selection of Pence and other pro-life leaders for his administration, his quick action to reinstate the Mexico City Policy to prohibit taxpayer funding to groups that promote or provide abortions overseas, and more have given the movement hope that the new president will work to protect unborn babies and moms from abortion.

Pro-Life Youth Crash Pro-Abortion Women’s March

By Dr. Susan Herndon
Brietbart

Only pro-abortion women were allowed to partner with the so-called “Women’s March” in Washington, but the president of America’s largest organization of pro-life youth decided to crash the march anyway with her group’s own message about abortion and women.

On her Facebook page, Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, wrote, “Yeah so they wouldn’t let us in their march so we just ran ahead and got in the front.”

Abortion Betrays Women
Carrying a banner that states “Abortion Betrays Women,” Hawkins and her group posted on Facebook, “We will not sit by as Planned Parenthood, our nation’s abortion Goliath and a sponsor of this March, betrays women into thinking abortion is their only choice.”

Hawkins said in a statement that the Women’s March is “excluding the majority of American women who find abortion to be morally wrong and believe in protecting families, defending the marginalized, and achieving social justice.”

“Instead of a march to promote those worthy values and truly be inclusive, the event has turned into a rallying cry for the radical abortion industry to save their own baby: taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood,” she added.

Students For Life Asked to Participate in Women's March. Now They'll Protest. Here's Why.

By Michael Gryboski
The Christian Post

The national pro-life group Students For Life of America will hold a demonstration at the Women's March on Washington after reportedly not getting approval to be an organizing partner.

The Women's March on Washington is scheduled to be held in the Nation's Capital the day after president-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office.

SFLA recently announced on Facebook that they are planning to demonstrate at the March, as they believe the agenda for the event is biased toward the pro-choice perspective.

"We are going to show those in attendance at the Women's March that the very thing they are marching against, violence against women, is what they are promoting and lauding with their support for abortion," stated their Facebook event.
"We will not sit by as the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood, a sponsor of this March, betrays women into thinking abortion is the only choice."
In comments sent to The Christian Post, SFLA President Kristan Hawkins explained that she attempted to contact March organizers regarding involvement, but that they never responded.
"They refused to acknowledge my inquiries into being a sponsor, perhaps thinking I was a college student, even though it was clear who I represented, the largest national youth pro-life organization," said Hawkins.
"Even though they put forth the message that they are inclusive and are demonstrating for a variety of issues, I think they deliberately leave out pro-life organizations, deeming us not the 'right people' for their message."
Hawkins also told CP that she hoped that the demonstration at the March would show pro-choice attendees that they should convert to the pro-life viewpoint.

Niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: ‘We need to make abortions unthinkable’

By Danny David
Live Action News

On Monday, pro-life activist and niece of Martin Luther King Jr., Alveda King, spoke before a large crowd at Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center in Fort Collins, Colorado. The event was hosted by Students for Life.
During the presentation, King revealed that before she was born, her own parents were told to abort her. The Rocky Mountain Collegian reports:

Alveda King said that Planned Parenthood told her parents to consider an abortion following her conception. Her father disagreed, and MLK Sr. claimed that he had seen the unborn child in a dream years prior, and described King to her parents. “That’s my granddaughter!” King Sr. had said, according to Alveda King.
King also claimed that, at the time, Planned Parenthood was actively pushing “population control” – including sterilization – on the Black community. In the 1960s, while King was marching for civil rights, Planned Parenthood was trying to restrain the Black population (despite claiming to help), says King.

Despite her history as a strong voice for the oppressed, including preborn lives, King was not always pro-life. At one point, King says she was “radical pro-choice,” and had two abortions herself, which she claims damaged her body. Eventually, she became pro-life, and she believes her uncle, Martin Luther King Jr., would join her in standing for the value of life.

“Abortion is not health care,” King said Monday. “A woman has a right to her body, but that is not her body. What about the baby?”

Nebraska High School Refuses to Allow Student-Led Pro-Life Club

By Josh Denton
Live Action News

Gretna High School administration and its lawyers have received a demand letter from the Thomas More Society. The letter charges the Omaha, Nebraska, area school with unconstitutional discrimination of students, after junior Bridget Christensen was denied her right to form a school-sponsored Students for Life club, Dragons for Life. Christensen was thwarted in her attempt to start the student-led pro-life club by school administrators who told her the club was too “religious” and also “controversial,” both of which are illegal reasons to deny the group.

Christensen explained,

“Instead of dedicating my time to educating my peers about abortion and creating a strong Students for Life group at my high school that could be resource for those students facing unplanned pregnancies, I’ve been forced to argue against my own school administrators and fight for my First Amendment rights,” said Christensen, a junior at Gretna High School.
“My school administration has been treating me and my friends who want to the start the Students for Life club like second-class citizens by not allowing us to be a school-sponsored club, even though they allow many other clubs that may be considered controversial. This double standard is discrimination and it’s wrong.”
Thomas More Society Special Counsel Jocelyn Floyd, who serves as lead counsel for Students for Life of America’s high school clubs, noted that the Gretna High School administration response reflects a common misunderstanding of the law.
“Pro-life students are simply asking for equal treatment,” said Floyd, “and this school’s rationale for denying the group is that the club doesn’t tie in with school curriculum—but neither do most of their other clubs.

Texas Christian University Offers School Credit for Internship at Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

By Kristan Hawkins
Life News

A Lifeway Research study published late last year revealed close to 70% of women who have had abortions claimed to be of the Christian faith. Gallup polling showed the number to be just over half.

Where is the Christian community going so wrong that a substantial majority of their own are feeling they have to have an abortion? Are Christians not talking about other options besides abortion, are they shaming women who have gotten pregnant outside of wedlock, are they ignorant of resources for women facing unplanned pregnancies?

Where would Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry be if Christian women rose up and said, ‘no more, we deserve better than abortion’? The abortion industry would be in crisis mode if that happened.

But they aren’t because of schools like Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, a school obviously upfront about their Christian identity.

TCU is offering an internship program at Planned Parenthood in return for school credit. Interestingly enough, it came through an email from the History department and involves “a project highlighting [Planned Parenthood’s] history in Fort Worth since it was established here in 1935.”

This may be cheating but let’s give the student a head start. Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas (PPGT) was a part of the undercover project from the Center for Medical Progress, which exposed the abortion giant of haggling over the prices of body parts of babies they aborted.

Dr. Amna Dermish is an abortionist for Planned Parenthood in Austin, which is part of PPGT, and she was thrilled to be trained by Dr. Deb Nucatola, the abortionist featured in the first CMP video talking about where she would crush parts of the baby during an abortion to ensure an intact baby body part to sell.

When Dr. Dermish was asked about harvesting a fetal brain, she notes, “I haven’t been able to do that yet,” but exclaims with laughter, “This will give me something to strive for!” Watch the full footage here.

“It is a disgrace for a large Christian university to offer credit for an internship at the largest abortion provider in the nation,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America. “Instead of educating and equipping students on how to persuasively discuss the pro-life viewpoint and help women in crisis, they instead reward students for spending valuable time volunteering for an organization that ends the lives of over 325,000 innocent human beings a year. And just think of the parents who thought their child would be receiving a valuable Christian-focused education at a private school. They are paying over $53,500 a year to be swindled.”

Blogger's note:

How far has TCU, other Christian Universities and public schools fallen into Planned Parenthood's pit of promoting abortion? They target our youth in schools and colleges to continue their deadly mission.  They recruit them through "sex education" and lies and focus on a woman's choice.  The truth is left behind about the killing of unborn babies and the tragic impact on their mothers.

The Church and the Christian community, for the most part, have been silent on the indoctrination of this evil in our schools and universities.  This silence is robbing our youth of Biblical truths and Christian values while killing this unborn generation.

Students for Life is making a difference in our nation's schools and colleges. They have 1,000 student groups that meet in high schools and universities. To find out more about their mission and how you can help visit: studentsforlife.org
