NJ Gestational Surrogacy Bill-ACTION NEEDED!‏

The NJ Assembly passed S866/A2648, the Gestational Surrogacy Bill, on May 14, 2015 by a vote of 43-25-3. The bill is now sitting on the Governor's desk. Please ask Governor Christie to veto this legislation as noted in the action item below.

Contact Your Asembly Members to Oppose S866/A2648, Gestational Carrier Bill State Legislation

The NJ Assembly is scheduled to vote on S866/A2648, the Gestational Carrier bill.  In a gestational carrier agreement, a woman agrees to carry the fertilized egg of another woman through pregnancy. 

Governor Christie vetoed this bill in 2012. The bill previously passed the NJ Senate. For more information and to take action on this bill, please use this link. 

Please take action on both of these items immediately and share with your pro-life friends. 

1. Call and email your two Assembly members and urge them to Vote No on S866/A2648. You can send a prewritten email to your two Assembly members by following instructions on this page

The bill was released from the Assembly Human Services Committee on March 19. It can be scheduled for a vote by the full Assembly at any time. For more information on the Hearing, click on this link and read,  then please take suggested action below.

The NJ Senate narrowly passed S866, a bill to legalize commercial gestational surrogacy bill by a vote of 21-13 on February 5th. This is the same bill Governor Christie vetoed in 2012. 1. Please email and call your 2 Assembly members and urge them to Vote No. You can send a pre-written message to your 2 Assembly members by using this link.
