1. JP will talk about Facebook group and Wacoan protest on Friday talk show

John Pisciotta will be the guest on Jim Sedlak's syndicated radio program thisFriday, August 3, from 11 AM to noon, Central Time. Jim Sedlak is the Executive Director of American Life League. The name of the program on the Radio Maria network is Pro-Life Activism from Creation to Death. The program is one hour with a few minutes at the beginning on current news. Then, I will come on to discuss 2 of my current passions. One will be Hometown Pro-Life Action, which in July became the largest pro-life group on Facebook. The second topic will be how to challenge the enablers or supporters of Planned Parenthood in your hometown. I will use our current campaign to challenge theWacoan Magazine for carrying ads promoting the Planned Parenthood Waco abortion business. This is a live call-in show. The number is 866 – 333 – 6279. I've been a guest on Jim's pro-life activism show on several occasions. Whether in person or electronically it's always great to be with Jim Sedlak, one of the Titans of the pro-life movement. Jim Sedlak has been an inspiration for Pro-Life Waco for over two decades.

2. Life Chain coming Sunday August 5

The temperature may be close to 100 on Sunday, August 5. When we have 30 or more dedicated defenders of the precious innocents in the heat, our public witness will from 2-3 p.m. will be so strong. Of course, we hold Life Chain in the grassy area at the corner of Valley Mills Drive and Waco Drive near Pei Wei Restaurant. Our neighbors will see from our public witness that the defense of life in Central Texas is unwavering. Look for the pro-life billboard and your life defender friends will be nearby.

3. Abortion healing retreat August 24-26

And, also featured fun, fellowship, and fine food from Panera Bread.
There will be an interdenominational abortion healing retreat August 24 (6 pm) through August 26 (noon) in Belton at Summers Mill retreat Center.. This will be a Rachel's Vineyard retreat. There are just 2 of 10 spots in the retreat remaining.For anyone struggling from an abortion, I strongly urge you to take advantage of this opportunity. Of course, this can be a mom. But it also includes friends and relatives who have been involved in an abortion. God forgives a repentant heart. But still there must be healing. Interstate 35 Overpass Demonstration on Roe Day

It was Cold, Windy, Rainy and a Smashing Success!!

First-ever overpass demonstration in Waco. I did not realize at the time, but the weather was just perfect--absolutely brutal. It was cold, windy, and rainy throughout the demonstration from 11 to 1 PM.

Ten dedicated men and three unwavering and tough ladies were out there. Being out in weather like this multiplied the impact of the messages. Interstate 35, I am told, is the busiest interstate in the country.

Thousands saw the messages. I thank my pastor, Father Joe Geleney, for being with us for a tough and productive experience. I believe we did honor the 57 million aborted baby boys and girls who suffered so much more than we did today.

After experiencing the weather as excruciating, it actually became exhilarating. One interesting facet of our demonstration was that a woman driving from Dallas to Austin turned around to come back to the overpass to greet us and take pictures. I didn’t get a picture of her because I was gone to get some additional bungee cords.

One of our signs was “Honk If You’re Pro-Life.” There was a whole lot of honking. After the demonstration, we enjoyed each other’s company over lunch at George’s fine café. A good time was had by all. We will return to the Waco Interstate 35 pedestrian overpass!!!!

1. Our speaker will be Dr. Sandra Hapenney, who will be delivering a very valuable seminar on January 26 entitled Strategies to Protect Your Teenagers Innocence. Sandra will be with us on Second Sunday to tell us of the successes she is had promoting chastity with her students at Reicher Catholic High School and within her family. Dr. Hapenney is the star for Pro-Life Waco in January.

2. I will make a surprise announcement that will bring smiles to our faces.

3. Individuals and families present will receive a 108-page booklet entitled Sharing the Pro-Life Message. You will find this very helpful in your discussions with your friends, neighbors, and relatives.

Will talk about carpooling to the Rally for Life in Austin onJanuary 24 and many other initiatives for 2015.

As always, the event is at St. Mary’s Parish Hall at 15th and Columbus Ave. Meal served during noon hour buffet style. (Arrive any time during the noon hour.) Meeting from 1 to 2 p.m.

1. Annual National Remembrance for Aborted Children in Waco Pro-Life Waco will participate in the National Remembrance for Aborted Children on the weekend of September 13/14. Nationally, the event is coordinated by Priests for Life and the Pro-Life Action League. Rachel’s Park Memorial at 4702 N. 19th Street is one of 43 gravesites in the U. S., which holds the remains of an aborted baby. On this weekend, you are invited to go out to this site to pray and show your respect for this baby lost to abortion. Rachel’s Park Memorial has been a location that has brought healing and reconciliation to many who have been involved in an abortion. You can’t miss Rachel’s Park with the 4,000 small white crosses. The Pro-Life Waco Second Sunday meeting on September 14 (1-2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Parish hall) will also remember and honor the over 50 million babies nationwide and close to 20 thousand in Waco lost to abortion. 2. 2nd Sunday September 14, with Dr. Joe Pojman of TAL. I can hardly wait for our Second Sunday Pro-Life Gathering on September 14. Our speaker will be Dr. Joe Pojman, the founding director of Texas Alliance for Life in Austin. At TAL, Joe has been the top architect for recent Texas pro-life legislation—the strongest in the nation. The 2013 Texas law (filibustered by Senator Wendy Davis) is currently challenged in federal court in Austin. By September Second Sunday that decision should be rendered. Joe will give us the inside scoop about court proceedings plus the possible moves in the 2015 legislative session. Come out and listen to Joe. Thank him for his hard and effective work. Clearly the pro-life laws past in 2011 and 2013 were instrumental in ending the shedding of innocent blood in Waco in August of 2013. Isn’t it wonderful to remember that the Planned Parenthood holocaust has ended in Waco? You know the routine on Second Sunday.  The meeting from 1-2 p.m. will be preceded by food and fellowship during the noon hour. Just $3 for adults. Children and first-time attendees are free. 3. Sept. 14 demonstration for Austin Planned Parenthood fundraising banquet. Pro-Life Waco is again organizing a demonstration for the Austin Planned Parenthood fundraising banquet at the Hyatt Regency Austin Hotel (208 Barton Springs Road). The demonstration will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 14. A carpool (a van if we have enough) will depart for Austin from the St. Mary’s Waco parking lot at 2:20 p.m. (No charge.) You can come to Second Sunday and then join the fun by going on to Austin. We will be meeting pro-life friends from the Austin area and hopefully Houston and other cities. We will be demonstrating on the public sidewalks at the entrance on Barton Spring. Signs will be available. Aborted baby signs will be included this year. We believe the Austin elite who enthusiastically support the shedding of innocent blood should see this reality. After the demonstration, we will go to a nearby restaurant for fellowship and a meal provided by Pro-Life Waco. Vote Pro-Life campaign in Waco. This week we are launching the campaign in full force with billboards and yard signs. We already have a Vote Pro-Life billboard message up at Franklin Ave. at about 16th Street. By the end of this week we will have 6 junior billboards with the same message in the greater Waco area. And most importantly, there are yard signs that say “Vote Pro-Life.” Signs are free.  Your can pick yours up at my front doorstep facing Grim Ave @ 4200 Grim Avenue. 5. Hometown Pro-Life Action on Facebook. Finally, the Facebook group I launched has been quite a success. There are over 1300 members! Many informative postings for hometown pro-life action.
