Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf Wants to Expand Abortion Up to Birth, While Scott Wagner is Pro-Life

Gov. Wolf's Opponent, Scott Wagner is 100% Pro-Life and Has the Voting Record to Prove It.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf is campaigning for re-election on a radical pro-abortion platform that supports abortion on demand and taxpayer funding of the nation’s largest abortion provider.

His Republican challenger, Scott Wagner, could not be more different. Wagner is “100-percent pro-life” and has the voting record to show it.

Pennsylvania is a swing state that Republican President Donald Trump won in 2016. Both the state House and Senate are controlled by Republicans and appear likely to continue to be. So, this fall, abortion advocacy groups are spending millions of dollars to try to keep Wolf in office as a “last line of defense” against pro-life legislation.

Wolf vetoed a bill that would have prohibited abortions after 20 weeks, and he promised to continue to block pro-life legislation if re-elected, PennLive reports.
“This issue is the woman’s right to choose. It’s about the choices that the person most directly involved makes,” he told the newspaper. “If this new court has swung to the right more so now with the Kavanaugh confirmation, if they threaten Roe v. Wade then here in Pa. I will continue to stand as I have done, stand as backstop for any legislation that seeks to interfere with the right of the woman to make whatever choice she feels is appropriate.”
Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the U.S., is spending a record $2.5 million to support him, NPR Pittsburgh reported in September.

Wolf’s campaign spokeswoman said he also will continue to support Planned Parenthood and the tax dollars it receives every year from Pennsylvanians.

The governor used to volunteer at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, and has maintained a close relationship with the abortion chain throughout his time in office. He has made frequent visits to Planned Parenthood facilities, and, early in his administration, appointed one of its board members as his chief of staff.

In contrast, Wagner is a pro-life Republican who voted in favor of the bill to prohibit abortions after 20 weeks and co-sponsored another bill to prohibit discriminatory abortions of unborn babies with Down syndrome.

Here’s more from the report:

During Wagner’s visit with PennLive/The Patriot-News’ editorial board last week, he was asked if he were elected and Roe v. Wade was overturned, whether he would sign a bill to make abortion illegal in all instances in Pennsylvania.
“When that is presented to me, I will make that decision,” he responded.
But his campaign spokesman Andrew Romeo signaled in comments made to Breitbart back in June that Wagner would most likely sign the bill. He said unlike Wolf, who is funded by the likes of Planned Parenthood, “Scott has a strong record standing up for the unborn in the Senate and will sign pro-life legislation as governor.”

Wagner also said he opposes taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.

He received the endorsements of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation and the National Right to Life Committee PACs.
“Wagner has a solid 100 percent pro-life voting record in the [Pennsylvania] General Assembly,” said Maria Gallagher, legislative director of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation. “He supported the proposed ban on gruesome dismemberment abortions, backs the current Down Syndrome Protection Act, and fought to ensure that abortion centers follow basic health and safety standards.”

Planned Parenthood PAC Pours Money Into Gov. Wolf's Re-Election Campaign

The political arm of Planned Parenthood plans to pour $2.5 million into Governor Tom Wolf’s re-election campaign. According to the Planned Parenthood PAC, that's the largest-ever investment the organization has spent in any state on a midterm race.

“We need to turn our legislature into a body that supports reproductive rights and health,” said Sari Stevens, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates. She said Gov. Wolf is the backstop to protect reproductive healthcare in the state for another four years.
Republicans currently control both houses of the state legislature, and Wolf's Republican rival, former state Senator Scott Wagner, has said he would sign anti-abortion legislation if elected.

Republicans also hold sway in Washington, D.C. Stevens pointed to the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and the possibility of overturning Roe v. Wade. She cited as another threat the Trump administration’s proposal to cut Title X funding for clinics that provide or refer clinics to places that provide abortions. No federal money is spent directly on abortions.

Stevens says a portion of the $2.5 million will go into door-knocking in the state legislative districts where Planned Parenthood-backed candidates are running.

“We’re hoping to win one or two, potentially three [state] Senate districts where we’ll have a pro-choice member replace an anti-choice member,” Stevens said.
“And somewhere in the ballpark of about 10 House districts. That’s not going to get us to a pro-choice majority, but it’s a very good start.”

Blogger's Comment:

Please note that the PA governor's race is considered the most crucial for Planned Parenthood and all groups who support abortion. That's why they are pouring $2.5 million to ensure Tom Wolf's reelection. As a former PP escort, he is their 'insurance policy' to keep PA solidly pro-abortion.

Be sure to vote and get involved by encouraging all who value God's gift of life to vote on Tuesday, November 6th. We have to elect candidates who will not be moved on the issue of the 'right to life' for both the born and unborn.

We must all pray that this scourge of abortion will be defeated this November.

Gov. Tom Wolf’s Campaign Creates Video Defending Dismemberment Abortions Tearing Off Babies’ Limbs

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf is campaigning for re-election with a promise to fight for women’s ability to have their nearly fully-formed unborn babies aborted in brutal dismemberment abortions.

Wolf released a new pro-abortion campaign ad this week as the Pennsylvania Senate considers Senate Bill 3, PennLive reports. The legislation would prohibit brutal dismemberment abortions that tear nearly fully-formed unborn babies limb from limb while their hearts are beating and ban abortions after 20 weeks when strong scientific evidence indicates unborn babies can feel pain.

“I’m going to veto Senate Bill 3 if it gets to my desk,” Wolf said in a statement Monday. “We have to make sure that women in Pennsylvania have the right to make their own decisions about their health care issues.”
The bill appears likely to pass the state Senate, but it is unclear if there are enough votes to override Wolf’s veto.

In his new campaign video, Wolf used the tragic story of a woman whose unborn baby girl was diagnosed with a fatal genetic abnormality at 20 weeks of pregnancy. Karen Agatone and her husband chose to have their daughter, their first child, aborted at 21 weeks of pregnancy. They said they had their unborn daughter aborted because they did not want her to suffer.

“A week before, we had been out to buy a crib for her,” Agatone said. “We had no idea that something could go so horribly wrong for her … this could happen to anybody.”
She praised Wolf for promising to veto the legislation, saying every woman should be able to choose to abort their unborn babies past 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Wolf also described the dismemberment abortion ban as “a vile assault” on women.

“So I want to be clear,” Wolf said. “This legislation is a disingenuous and bald-faced attempt to pass the most extreme anti-choice legislation in this country.”
Wolf and liberal news outlets have been describing Senate Bill 3 as extreme; but in comparison to the rest of the world, the United States’ laws are radically pro-abortion. The U.S. is one of just seven countries that allow abortions for any reason after 20 weeks – a fact confirmed by the Washington Post fact checker in October.

The legislation also has strong public support.

“A statewide poll showed that the vast majority of Pennsylvanians support a ban on brutal dismemberment abortions. In fact, the support was even higher among women,” said Maria Gallagher, legislative director for the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, when the bill passed a House committee last week. “A ban on this alarming practice is long overdue.”
Gallagher said about 1,550 babies are killed in Pennsylvania every year in dismemberment abortions. State Department of Health reports indicate that nearly 400 unborn babies also are aborted past 20 weeks annually.

A handful of states also have passed dismemberment abortion bans, which are the brainchild of the National Right to Life Committee.

Blogger's note to Gov. Wolf:  The only 'vile assault' is on the child in the womb. Tearing an unborn baby, limb from limb, is an unspeakable, horrendous method of killing a human being.  Dismemberment of unborn babies is pre-meditated murder and is neither 'health care' for the mother nor for the unborn baby.

Holy scripture declares the sacredness and inestimable worth of every human life. May the scourge of abortion be abolished from our nation and all life protected from the womb to natural death.

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts,God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.

Did You Know You are Helping to Fund Planned Parenthood's Political Activity?

Gov. Wolf stands with Planned Parenthood

Governor Wolf just headlined a roundtable discussion at a Planned Parenthood facility in Warminster – which does more than 900 abortions each year. As reported, the event was held by Planned Parenthood Keystone – one of their three regions in Pennsylvania – and national Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards was right by our Governor’s side. The discussion centered on fighting against proposals to defund Planned Parenthood “both on the federal and state levels.”

Planned Parenthood Keystone made a net profit of over $621k in their last reporting year with over 25% of their revenue coming from government grants – i.e. your tax dollars.

So let’s put this equation together:

Governor Wolf & Cecile Richards push pro-abortion politics at a Planned Parenthood facility in PA
+
Event organized by Planned Parenthood Keystone, which is funded, in part, by taxpayers
=
Taxpayers are funding Planned Parenthood’s political activities.

Governor Wolf advocating for pro-abortion politics in Planned Parenthood’s own clinics that continue to receive taxpayer funding is yet another example of you and every Pennsylvania taxpayer being forced into helping their pro-abortion political activity.

THIS MUST END. It’s time Planned Parenthood fights for their own agenda without the help of taxpayers across Pennsylvania.

TAKE ACTION:

The leading abortion business in Pennsylvania and nationally does not deserve our taxpayer dollars. Here are two ways to encourage your elected officials to take action:

1) State level:
SB300, introduced by State Senator John Eichelberger, would prioritize current taxpayer dollars to first be directed to the many community health centers that offer better comprehensive women’s health care than Planned Parenthood. (Remember, women can’t even get prenatal care at a Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania). Tell your State Senator and State Representative to support SB300 today – click here to use our action alert to send your elected officials an email.

***SB300 is on the agenda for the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday, April 26. Please contact your State Senator before then to voice your support for SB300.

2) Federal level:
Encourage your Congressman to do all they can to stop funding Planned Parenthood, especially in any health care reform measure. Here’s a one-page fact sheet summarizing the need for defunding Planned Parenthood at the federal level. For contact information, use our Citizen Action Center to enter your zip code (at the bottom of the page).

At Warminster Event, Gov. Wolf Calls Proposals to Restrict Access to Planned Parenthood an 'Assault'

Gov. Wolf stands with Planned Parenthood

By Freda R. Savana
Bucks County Courier

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf called renewed efforts to restrict women's access to affordable health care an assault and promised to veto legislation that would abolish or limit Planned Parenthood in the state.

"Attacks on women's health at both the federal and state levels are nothing more than politicians inserting themselves between doctors and their patients," Wolf told a roundtable of Planned Parenthood leaders, patients and others in the health care field on Thursday.

Organized by Planned Parenthood Keystone and held at the agency's Warminster Medical Center [Planned Parenthood] on Louis Drive, the event drew a small group of supportive Bucks County residents and local officials.

Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, joined Wolf in decrying Republican proposals to cut funding to the long-established programs that provide a wide array of health care services to women and men.

"We're at a historic low in teen pregnancy and a 30-year low in unintended pregnancies, thanks to better access to family planning and information," said Richards. "We know it works. And, we know what doesn't work: making it harder for women to access that care."

Richards said for many of Pennsylvania's more than 90,000 Planned Parenthood patients, the health care agency is their only health care provider. Without Planned Parenthood, she stressed, "they would have nowhere else to go."

Whitney Lingle said when she was growing up in the Midwest, Planned Parenthood was her only source of health care and when she was sexually assaulted at college, it was Planned Parenthood where she found care and support.

Week Three:Prayer Initiative Campaign for Those Who Support Abortion Feb. 27 - Mar. 5

'winning the war against unborn babies and their mothers one soul at a time'

Pro-abortion Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf

Gov. Wolf is in desperate need of our prayers for salvation.  He is rabidly pro-abortion. Tom Wolf was endorsed by Planned Parenthood when he ran for Governor in 2014. He also served as a volunteer escort at Planned Parenthood facilities. Currently, he is threatening to veto PA SB3 'Dismemberment Abortion Ban'. Pray that his veto will be overturned.

We have no greater enemy that fuels the abortion industry than Satan. We, who stand for life, are in a spiritual battle. Prayer is a powerful weapon. It can tear down Satan's strongholds.

When those involved in abortion, turn from their sins and give their lives to Christ, the war against the unborn will start to crumble, one soul at a time. Voices has posted stories of the redemption of those who walked away from abortion. Here's one example, abortionist quits doing abortions.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Cor 5:17

Suggested Daily Prayers for Gov. Tom Wolf

Day 1
Pray the Holy Spirit reveals to him all the deceptions of Planned Parenthood.

Day 2
Pray the Love of Christ overcomes his opposition toward his pro-life colleagues.

Day 3
Pray the Holy Spirit shows him overwhelming proof that abortion is murder.

Day 4  Pray the Light of Christ sets him free from the darkness and deceit of Satan.

Day 5  Pray that God sends many Christians across his path to share the Gospel.

Day 6
Pray he will be convicted of the grievous sin of supporting abortion as governor.

Day 7  Pray that he falls to his knees and surrenders his life to Jesus Christ, his only hope.

Finally: Pray that his conversion will lead him to speak out against abortion and become a strong advocate for mothers and their unborn babies.

"This is what we are all about…conversion. We will continue to reach out to these men and women in love. Hate doesn’t work. Condemnation doesn’t work. Judgment doesn’t work. The mercy of Christ is what WORKS. Please pray with us....You are making a difference." Abby Johnson, former PP clinic director and founder of 'And Then There Was None'
