Pro-Life Reflections for March 3
God's own finger wrote in stone the commandments He gave to Moses, and through Moses to us.
"You shall not murder" refers to the deliberate act of taking an innocent human life, and is forever prohibited precisely because all life belongs to God, and God is life itself.
PRAYER:
Lord, Your prohibition on murder was literally written in stone and is unchangeable as You are. Give all Your people the gift of obedience.
Letter Shows Michelle Obama Backs Partial-Birth Abortion
Reprint of article by Steven Ertelt which first appeared
in LifeNews.com on October 23, 1012
First Lady Michelle Obama has come under criticism before for a fundraising letter she wrote for her husband during his 2004 campaign for the U.S. Senate that has her defending partial-birth abortions.
Today, LifeNews is posting a rarely-seen image showing the copy of the actual letter, written to Obama financial supporters, which opposes a ban on the gruesome abortion procedure.
In February 2004, Michelle Obama penned a fundraising letter to help her husband Barack raise funds for his Illinois-based Senate seat. The letter contends the federal ban on partial-birth abortions “is clearly unconstitutional” and “a flawed law.”

Anti-Euthanasia Activists Launch European Coalition in ‘Historic’ Meeting in Rome
ROME, February 19, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A group of nearly 20 leading anti-euthanasia activists representing 11 countries gathered today in Rome to launch a pan-European coalition.
Their goal? To promote “care, not killing,” said Alex Schadenberg, the Chairman of Euthanasia Prevention Coalition International, the organizer of the meeting, who described the event as “historic.”
A survey of the situation in Europe suggests that the creation of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPC) Europe could not come a minute too soon.
Euthanasia is already deeply entrenched and expanding in several European countries, and with aging populations across the continent, more and more are showing signs of being swayed by the rhetoric of the euthanasia movement. Currently pressure campaigns to legalize the practice are ongoing in the UK and France.
During the wide-ranging discussions at today's meeting, one point repeatedly cropped up: the need to work together and to unite activists from a wide variety of ideological and political backgrounds.

Abortion Facility Closes Down in Eugene, Oregon
From Shawn Carney , Campaign Director
“I want to spread some very awesome news!!!”
That’s the email I received from Lynda in Eugene – complete with all three exclamation marks.
The Bours Health Center – the abortion facility where faithful volunteers have prayed during EIGHT 40 Days for Life campaigns – has shut its doors.
Vigil participants watched as signs, drapes and banners came down. Later that day, “we rejoiced, praising the Lord and hugging and high-fiving during our 40 Days for Life meeting,” Lynda said.
The center’s web site announces its closing – and refers any potential clients to a Planned Parenthood facility in town. So, the Eugene team is planning to move its prayer vigil – to Planned Parenthood!
“God bless!” Lynda said. “And share the good news!!!”

| Rep. Allyson Schwartz Has a 100-percent Pro-abortion Voting Record |
By Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director
Recent news reports indicate that Pennsylvania Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz (13th district) is considering a run for governor.
Schwartz has a 100-percent pro-abortion record in Congress, including votes against a ban on sex-selection abortions and a ban on taxpayer funding of abortion.
Schwartz co-founded and served as the Executive Director of an abortion facility in Philadelphia for 13 years, according to a 2011 piece in Creative Minority Report.
At one point, the Philadelphia Daily News reported, "18 lawsuits have been filed against Miss Allyson Schwartz's clinic, including assault, battery, negligence, perforated bowels and uteruses." The facility performed about 1,500 abortions in its final year of operation before declaring bankruptcy.
