YOU'RE PAYING FOR ABORTION CHEERLEADING‏

From Drew Belsky, Communications Director
Live Action News

Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch...and advocating for the gruesome ripping apart of fully formed, viable babies. One of these things doesn't belong...but you're forced to pay for all of them at PBS.

At the tax-funded Public Broadcasting Service, your money is being used to air After Tiller, a documentary that glorifies the practices of four American late-term abortionists, and to stream it online through September. According to some, inducing a massive heart-attack in an innocent child, and then having his mother deliver him dead, is "heroic." Perhaps getting thousands and thousands of dollars to do it is "heroic" as well.

This is what Live Action exposed last year: the actions, outlooks, and practices of late-term abortionists across the country, including two of those given the red-carpet treatment in After Tiller.

Barbarically murdering children into the ninth month of pregnancy? That's what this pro-abortion puff piece is meant to "humanize." But we showed a more accurate portrayal ofwhat is human (below):

As you watch our heartrending video, remember: your tax dollars are funding PBS's rabid abortion cheerleading. The abortion advocates like to say, "Don't like abortion? Don't get one!" But PBS's abortion-pushing shows that you are being forced to support the murder of innocent children, whether you "like" it or not.

To contact PBS, use this link. I strongly encourage you to do so. Outrages like this one will only continue unless we all speak out...loudly.

Indiana Attorney General Files Administrative Complaints Against Four Abortionists

From Operation Rescue

Indianapolis, IN - The Indiana Attorney General's office announced yesterday that it has filed
administrative complaints against four abortionists in three counties for recordkeeping violations. The Medical Licensing Board will determine what discipline the violations warrant.

The complaints were filed against abortionists Ulrich Klopfer, Resad Pasic, Kathleen Glover and Raymond Robinson.

The case is based on complaints filed by Indiana Right to Life, which obtained copies of Termination of Pregnancy reports that must be filed with the state's Department of Health and discovered that not only were abortionists omitting important information from the forms, but they were also not reporting suspected child sexual abuse on underage girls as young as 13. This meant that these girls faced the very real possibility that they were being given abortions then handed back to their rapist for further abuse.

Operation Rescue consulted with Indiana Right to Life on this case.

According to Attorney General Greg Zoeller's press release, Ulrich Klopfer, who faces criminal charges in two counties, was by far the chief offender.

Hometown Pro-Life Action - A Texas Success Story

Demonstration at Austin Planned Parenthood Gala last Sunday (September 14th)

From John Pisciotta‎
Pro-Life Waco

A Waco, Austin, San Antonio pro-life collaboration at Austin PP annual fundraiser was very successful. Close to 30 pro-lifers participated--about an equal number from each city.

Here’s my summary of how the day unfolded. After Pro-Life Waco’s Second Sunday event, which featured Joe Pojman of Texas Alliance for Life, our contingent got on the road with “Carolyn”, the pro-life billboard truck, leading the way. Pastor Joe Geleney of St. Mary’s Waco joined the excursion with his Corvette and pro-life license plates.
The Waco gang was the first to arrive at the entrance to the Hyatt Regency Hotel, where abortion supporters were holding their big fundraising banquet. One of our Austin vehicles had a flat tire so we had to double back to provide assistance. Susan Parker and Lynn Williams worked so hard to achieve Austin participation.

By the time we arrived back at the Hyatt, the San Antonio group led by Daryl Rodriquez of Love the Truth Ministries had already set up. Daryl had his signs displayed and was being interviewed for a KVUE television news story. This news coverage multiplied the impact of our demonstration. The hotel is on the very busy Barton Springs Road. So many in Austin saw our demonstration. We were able to position the pro-life billboard truck across the street from the entrance to the Hyatt.
Our faithful occupied sidewalks for at least 50 feet on each side of the entrance. We had a variety of signs proclaiming to Austinites messages about the tragedy and depravity of abortion at the hands of Planned Parenthood. We were able to continue our demonstration for two hours between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. We had just a handful of conversations with the other side. Mostly we were sending out visual messages. We were the recipients of a few negative hand signs.

At about 6:30, we wrapped up the demonstration and just about everyone went over to a local BBQ restaurant on Barton Springs Road. Pro-Life Waco ordered a delicious meal to serve family style. Fr. Joe led us in prayer before we enjoyed an extended time of good food and fellowship. For one young lady, this was her first pro-life demonstration. She proclaimed, “I had a blast today.”

One reason it is important to have demonstrations is to provide an entry point into the movement for new faithful. We should have a variety of avenues for people to enter the pro-life movement. A demonstration was my “kick in the pants” to get involved. Back in 1994, shortly after abortions began in Waco, Flip Benham and Rusty Thomas came to Waco to stir things up with three days of demonstrations. After wavering a bit, I decided to go see what it was all about. It didn’t take long for me to become committed to Hometown Pro-Life Action.

Pennsylvania Governor/Lieutenant Governor - Where do the Candidates Stand on Life?

Not Registered to Vote? Your Opinion Doesn’t Count

From Pennsylvania Catholic Conference

Have you moved into the state or to a new county since the last election? Turned 18 recently? Are you newly married?  Or did you just never get around to registering to vote? You aren't alone, as more than 24% of eligible voters are not registered. But be more than a sad statistic!

The last day to register to vote for November's election is on Monday, October 6.

Voting is an important part of representing our beliefs in the public square. But you can't vote on November 4 if you aren't registered first.

How do you register? You can register in person at a county voter registration office or some other government offices (a list is available at this link) or by mail using this form. More information is available at www.votespa.com.

October 6, the deadline to register, is just three weeks away. Remember, if you're not registered to vote, your opinion doesn't count!

SISTER OF TWO ABORTED BABIES SAYS REACH OUT TO POST-ABORTIVE WOMEN WITH MERCY

by Sarah Terzo
Live Action News

Looking back, Laura believes she’s always known that something was wrong in her family. She felt what she later described as “survivor’s guilt.” When she discovered that her mother had aborted two of her siblings, she realized that her intuitions had been correct. In this interview, she answers a few questions about being the sister of aborted babies.
What were your feelings on abortion before you found out about losing a sibling?
I was pro-life. I hadn’t participated in anything like 40 Days for Life, but I absolutely believed that life begins at conception, and that abortion is murder.
How did you find out about the abortion?
By accident. Our mother passed away a couple years ago after suffering from a neurodegenerative illness. She had been looking into donating her brain for research. One of her sisters had helped her fill out a medical history report and somehow or another since I was running errands, they gave it to me to mail. Knowing how important it was to have all the details and signatures in order, and also assuming I knew everything about my mom’s medical history since she was a pretty open person, I flipped through the packet of papers. I also wanted to see my and my sisters’ names on the page about pregnancies and reproductive health – we’re part of her history!
If you are the surviving sister or brother of aborted babies, you can find help and be introduced to a community of fellow survivors here at Surviving Sibling.  Everyone is welcome whatever their political beliefs or religion.  Two facebook pages, Abortion Hurts Siblings and Others and Siblings Against Abortion in addition to the secret group exist. Again, all siblings are welcome to come and get support whether they identify as pro-life or not.

Power of Prayer: New Mexico Abortion Facility Fails to Open as Planned‏

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Las Cruces, NM - Up before the break of dawn, Pastors Manny and Grace Lardizabal of Albuquerque were headed south. As the scenic sights of the burnished New Mexico deserts sped by, Manny and Grace prayed for God's favor.
But what God did next blew them away.
Manny and Grace, who minister with Project Defending Life at abortion facilities in Albuquerque, were leading a team to Las Cruces, where the Texas-based abortion chain, Whole Women's Health, had announced that it would be opening a new abortion facility on September 15. The purpose of that facility would be to target women living in Texas for abortions and thus avoid the new Texas abortion laws that had already shut down half of the abortion facilities in that state.
In New Mexico, there is no 24-hour waiting period to protect women from spur-of-the-moment decisions or succumbing to high-pressure sales pitches by abortion center staff only to regret it later. There are no facility safety requirements. There is no health department oversight. No inspections. No parental notification. No requirements for emergency plans when things go wrong.

Alison's Choice - A Film About Life

3,287 babies died yesterday. What can you do?

Much of the pro-life movement focuses on the important task of changing laws.  Others in the pro-life community emphasize communicating information, hoping to change minds.  But there is a third approach that has enormous potential – working to change hearts.  And when it comes to reaching people’s hearts, movies are among the most powerful tools God has given us.  Movies tell stories – and it’s stories that engage us; a truth Jesus often used in the telling of His parables.

Through well-drawn characters and compelling drama, a movie can create a world that touches the human heart like no other form of communication.  Alison’s Choice is a feature film that will touch hearts and save lives by encouraging young women to choose life.

THE STORY

Set in an abortion clinic, Alison sits in the reception room waiting her turn.  She meets the clinic’s janitor; the two begin talking, and it quickly becomes clear that this “janitor” is no mere man.  In fact, He is Jesus manifest, and He’s come to persuade her to save the life of her baby.  Alison responds with confusion, angst, and the common objections: she’s not ready; it’s her body’ her boyfriend doesn’t want a child.

Jesus reaches to her with wisdom, love and patience, but Alison struggles at every turn.
With the clock ticking fast, Jesus pleads with Alison. He confronts her; even weeps before her and shows her the little girl inside her womb.  It is a fight for life as Alison’s name could be called at any moment.  What will Alison choose?

THE OBJECTIVE

The goal of Alison’ Choice is saving unborn lives.  We trust that in the hands of a loving God this film will deeply impact mothers in crisis.  To this aim, the plan is to produce and distribute Alison’s Choice as a ministry.  Funding by donations eliminates conflicting business objective so that alongside theatrical/DVD release, Alison’s Choice will be offered in bulk to churches, ministries, crisis pregnancy centers, etc.  This “bulk distribution” has been tested through the evangelical film, Road to Emmaus (featuring Bruce Marchiano as Jesus).  More than 250,000 DVD copies have been distributed and the testimonies of lives changes are countless.  This is what happens when a ministry approach is invoked.

BRUCE MARCHIANO – WRITER/PRODUCER

Millions across America and the world know Bruce as the actor who portrayed Jesus as a man of joy and passion in the film, The Gospel of Matthew (The Visual Bible). Witnessing countless lives changed through Matthew, Bruce came into a deep understanding of the impact and potential of the Gospel presented on film.

Turning away from his secular acting career, he devoted himself to the creation of more such films, as well as penning several books about Jesus – three being awarded the Evangelical Christian Publisher’s Association Silver Medallion Award. In 2001 he founded Marchiano Ministries, an outreach ministry that serves in the USA and overseas.  As an actor, Bruce has starred in numerous Christian films, including the 2011 hit, The Encounter, and he holds the distinction of portraying Jesus in more films than any other actor in history.  It is a distinction he holds as a deeply humbling honor.

PRODUCED THROUGH YOU

Your donation of any amount, even $10/20, brings Alison’s Choice to the screen.  All donations are tax-deductible in USA, and every donor receives a film credit.  Churches/ministries receive free DVD’s screenings, and a premiere event (email for details).  By God’s hand, through all of us together, babies lives will be saved!

Gov. Corbett Protects Babies, Women from Other Gosnells

by Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

Remember Kermit Gosnell?  The most notorious abortionist in Pennsylvania history was finally brought to justice after years of atrocities ranging from killing full-term infants to butchering women.
Gosnell is in prison after being convicted of murdering three babies and causing the death of an adult immigrant, Karnamaya Mongar.  He's actually suspected of killing hundreds of infants, but charges could only be brought in a handful of cases, because he destroyed so many records. k
Governor Tom Corbett moved swiftly after revelations about Gosnell's heinous crimes came to light.  The Governor ended decades-old policies ... invoked by pro-abortion politicians ... forbidding regular inspections of abortion centers. Corbett also signed into law an abortion center regulation law, ensuring that abortion facilities abide by the safety standards of outpatient surgery centers.
If Pennsylvania is saved from having to endure another Gosnell, it will largely be the result of the strong, decisive action taken by Tom Corbett.
Predictably, the abortion industry and its advocates have flooded cyberspace with ludicrous claims that Corbett's policies are wrong for women. Actually, his proactive policies have been the means for protecting women from the Gosnells of the world. If Corbett hadn't been in office, we might still have abortion facilities going uninspected -- not for a year or two -- but for 15 years or more.
Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion operation, claims the abortion regulations were unnecessary. But that's not what the grand jury in the Gosnell case thought. The panel, which was made up of people with various views on abortion, thought stricter regulations were absolutely essential for safeguarding women's health and stopping future Gosnells.
Corbett has acted in the best interests of patient safety and women's well-being. When it comes to Gosnell's House of Horrors, let us keep in mind two simple words:  Never forget.
The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, Inc., is committed to promoting the dignity and value of human life from conception to natural death and to restoring legal protection for preborn children. Through legislation, political action, education and other legal means, we proclaim the truth about abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia.
