SIDEWALK CHRONICLES: THE EXODUS OF BASIC HUMAN DECENCY

by Reverend Katherine Marple
KeepLifeLegal

The ‘post-birth abortion’ idea has been popping up again, prolifers are once again on top of this heinous idea that a newborn’s life can be taken AFTER birth. Now, this isn’t just about if a baby had the audacity to be born alive during an abortion that was meant to take his/her life, this is about people believing they have the right to kill right after birth.
“You’re asking me whether I blanketly believe it’s wrong to kill a newborn baby after that baby’s been taken from it’s mother’s womb. And I’m saying to you I have no idea what medical necessities or medical issues would arise that would necessitate that.” See video below [h/t Created Equal]:

A Thermonuclear Trumpet

Knocking Down the Jericho Wall of Abortion Apathy

By Rolley Haggard
BreakPoint

The apostle Paul noted that “if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, no one will prepare himself to the battle.” His point: If what we're hearing doesn't sound to us like a clear call from God, even when it is, we're unlikely to mobilize.
History bears this out. It is precisely what happened with the transatlantic slave trade. One of the reasons it took so long to end that horrific business is that too few Christians believed that God wanted them to actively oppose it. The biblical message they heard on the issue was confused and indistinct, like a trumpet giving an uncertain sound. As a result there was no consensus, no united front, and slavery continued.
It wasn't that the message was not loud enough: Everyone heard the noise that was being made over slavery. It was that the message was not clear enough: The people of God were getting mixed signals and thus weren't sure what their responsibility was.
From abolitionists they heard biblical arguments against slavery. From some clergy, willing for different reasons to justify slavery, they heard other supposedly “biblical” arguments that either sanctioned slavery, or at the very least downplayed how important it was to God that it be abolished.
The result? The church did not rally to the battle, at least not in sufficient numbers. What the church ought to have done, and arguably could have done, peacefully, the state had to do by bloody civil war.

THAT'S MESSED UP: RECIPE FOR THIS ELECTION CYCLE'S BIRTH CONTROL SOUP-SANDWICH THAT SET PLANNED PARENTHOOD BACKTRACKING

By Rita Diller
American Life League
What happens when you take copious amounts of hormonal carcinogens, steep in utter disregard for humanity, sprinkle with false compassion, stir all in a thinly veiled broth of vote grappling, and spike with pieces of women’s broken health, families torn asunder, and children dead and forgotten? You get something more messed up than the proverbial soup-sandwich. That’s what happens when politicians from divergent parties decide to advocate for more birth control in a quest for votes. That’s the recipe for this election cycle’s soup-sandwich.

For years, Planned Parenthood and its allies have lobbied for over-the-counter “emergency contraception” without age restrictions or medical supervision. EC is a concoction of the hormones in daily contraceptive birth control, given in much larger doses. The abortion giant lobbied, then gave huge kudos to politicians and government officials who helped facilitate that process. Planned Parenthood whines incessantly for expanded access to birth control, as if it were not available for a pittance on every street corner already.

In June 2013, after a federal court ordered over-the-counter availability for EC regardless of the age of young people seeking it, Planned Parenthood head Cecile Richards said, “This is a historic moment for women's health—and a huge step forward in Planned Parenthood's work to expand access to birth control. Hopefully, with this decision, women all over the country will soon be able to walk into a pharmacy and pick up emergency contraception off the shelves, as soon as they need it—no barriers, no shame.”

ABORTION CLINICS IN ILLINOIS AND KANSAS READY TO “ACCOMMODATE SOME EXTRA VOLUME“

Abortionist Dr. Erin King

by Dave Andrusko
National Right to Life News Today

As NRL News Today readers recall, on September 10, the Missouri legislature overrode Governor Jay Nixon’s veto of two very important pro-life bills and one line item veto of a budget increase for Missouri’s Alternatives to Abortion Program. Is anyone—anyone—surprised that abortion clinics outside of Missouri are already trolling for pregnant women?

The best known measure–HB 1307–increases the time of reflection after counseling before an abortion can be performed from 24 hours to 72 hours.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch ran an article today, headlined “Out-of-state abortion providers ready to treat more Missouri women.” The abortion clinics—in Illinois and Kansas—tell reporter Samantha Liss they are not sure if women will come looking but if they do, well, they can count on the Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City, Illinois, and the Wichita, Kansas-based South Wind Women’s Center.

Dr. Erin King is the associate medical director at Hope Clinic for Women which is only 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis. In Liss’s story we read:

16433 Children in One Grave

by Fr. Frank Pavone
National Director, Priests for Life

I had a quick visit to the West Coast this weekend that included praying at a gravesite that contains the bodies of 16,433 children killed by abortion.

The prayer service was part of the National Day of Remembrance, a project organized by Priests for Life, Pro-life Action League and Citizens for a Pro-life Society. On this day, simultaneous memorial services are held at the graves of aborted babies around the nation.

The gravesite at which I prayed, located in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in East Los Angeles, is the largest of the mass graves of children killed by abortion.

In the early 1980's, a man by the name of Malvin Weisburg was operating an outfit called Medical Analytic Laboratories, and he was receiving from abortion clinics around the country the bodies of aborted babies for pathological analysis. When he was done with his work, the bodies of these babies, many of them decapitated by the abortion, and some of them weighing a couple of pounds, were put in plastic containers and ultimately stored in a large waste container that he was renting. In 1982, Weisburg failed to make proper payments on the container, and therefore it was repossessed by the company.

That's when workers discovered what was in it -- the bodies of aborted babies, totaling 16,433. The bodies were taken into the custody of Los Angeles County.

This made news and touched off a firestorm about what should be done with the babies. Pro-life people and public officials got together to call from the release of the bodies for proper burial. Meanwhile, pro-abortion groups, including the ACLU, went to court to block any religious service, or even burial, for these babies. They claimed that the 'separation of church and state' prohibited the state from facilitating a religious service. The court agreed. However, the pro-abortion groups wanted more, namely, to not allow a burial at all. They wanted the bodies cremated and thrown away as medical waste. And forgotten. With this, however, the court did not agree. Even the Supreme Court was petitioned in the matter, and in the end, after a three year battle, the babies were buried on October 6, 1985. Even President Ronald Reagan got involved, and wrote a eulogy that was read at the service, calling for an end to abortion.

For many years, this mass grave had no marker or headstone, just as the children have no names. But now there is a stone, and we are going to name the babies. Supporters of abortion do not want people to see mass graves in our midst. It's too disturbing a reminder of the humanity of the victims of abortion. When people forget, the abortion supporters win; when people remember, we win. That is why we need to keep telling the stories of these graves, and visiting them. And that is why we continue to demand that the bodies of the babies killed by abortionist Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia be released so that we can bury them.

Ironically, the 16,433 aborted children in Los Angeles could not be buried at the nearby Catholic cemetery; but who is buried there? The late term abortionist James McMahon. God help us.

Notorious Abortionist Hodari Denied License, Lacks “Good Moral Character”

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Lansing, MI — If you’ve never heard of Michigan abortionist Alberto Hodari, count yourself fortunate. If you have, then what happened recently at the Michigan Board of Medicine should come as a welcome relief.

For those who may not be familiar, Hodari once ran a chain of as many as six abortion mills in Michigan and is among the worst of abortionists, and that’s saying a lot.

Four women are known to have died at Hodari-run abortion facilities, which can aptly be characterized as “mills.” Tamia Russell, 15, died less than 24 hours after a late-term abortion at Hodari’s Lathrup Village facility in 2004. In 2007, a 17-year old Hodari patient died from abortion complications. Chivon Williams died less than six hours after having been released from one of Hodari’s abortion mills following a suction abortion.

BABY “ABORTED” AT 26 WEEKS TO SAVE MOTHER’S LIFE SURVIVES DELIVERY, NOW HEALTHY 10-YEAR-OLD

Natasha Smith’s birth was induced 14 weeks early when her mother developed a life-threatening condition.

By Dave Andrusko
National Right to Life News Today

Ten years ago Norelle Smith and fiance Sandy Cameron were told that Norelle, then 26 weeks pregnant, had toxic pre-eclampsia. “The condition was starving struggling [the baby] in the womb and attacking her mum’s internal organs,” according to the Sunday Post. Their baby, they were told, had stopped developing at 22 weeks and had no chance to survive. They reluctantly agreed to deliver the baby 14 weeks early.
But not only did Natasha (who was born just six inches long and weighed only 1lb 4oz) astonish the medical team by surviving delivery, she overcame all the initial predictions that she would be severely brain damaged and live a few days, at most.
Now she is the apple of her parents’ eye, and has celebrated her 10th birthday—“with a limo party and meal in town with her friends,” according to the Sunday Post!

‘Abortion is sacred,’ Planned Parenthood Volunteer Tells Missouri Legislators

By Ben Johnson
National Black Robe Regiment

As Missouri state legislators grappled with whether to extend the waiting period for an abortion to 72 hours, a Planned Parenthood volunteer had a simple message for them: “Abortion is sacred.”

Those words, emblazoned on a sign held by Juleigh Snell on the south lawn of the state capital in Jefferson City, spoke for many of those present at the “Stand With Missouri Women” rally. Snell, who describes herself as an atheist, drove 150 miles from her home in Alton, Illinois – the hometown of Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly – for the demonstration on the capitol steps.

“Our health care, our bodies, our choices,” Snell told The Missourian at one of two rallies designed to sway lawmakers.

Pivoting from its previous depiction of abortion as a necessary evil, the abortion industry and its political stalwarts have increasingly begun describing abortion as a positive, even holy, event.

Last August, Wendy Davis said she launched the 11-hour filibuster that thrust her into the limelight, because “sometimes you have to take a stand on sacred ground.”

Two months earlier, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi referred to the issue of abortion as “sacred ground” while deflecting a question from a reporter from The Weekly Standard.

Topless protesters with the group Femen chanted “abortion is sacred” while attacking the Archbishop of Madrid, Cardinal Antonio Rouco Varela, in February.
