First Annual Prayer Summit

This prayer gathering will be held at Morning Star Fellowship in Quakertown on Saturday, January 17th. We are inviting all of our supporting churches and individuals to come and pray with us. 

 
Refreshments will be served at 9:00 a.m. for those who wish to meet the staff and Board of Crossroads. The event itself will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end by 11:00 a.m.

Speakers will be:

• Dave Kratz from East Swamp Church
• Doug Henning from First Baptist Church of Perkasie
• John Hessler of Calvary Chapel Central Bucks

They will share regarding the importance of praying for our clients, all who serve at Crossroads, for our nation, and for the unborn. We hope you will be able to join us!

Qualifications:

•  A Real Choices speaker must be a follower of Christ. 

• Dedicated to communicating the conviction that sex is meant only for marriage. 

• Teachability: willingness to learn and be taught, and to complete the Real Choices speaker’s training 

• They must also have good communication skills 

• Heart for reaching young people 

• They must have a calling to speak (often identified by a desire) 

• Classroom management skills 

• Familiarity with technology or willing to learn 

• Must use email as a regular form of communication 

• They must be mature and able to relate to teens 

• Have a respect for Public School personnel 

Presenters will attend the Real Choices training and prepare a personal presentation following the guidelines given according to the syllabus.

Presenters will shadow an experienced teacher and then do a presentation with the trainer accompanying them, before being able to “solo.”

Additional opportunities will be provided for continuing education.

All presentations are to be “booked” through Choices Pregnancy Services and the presenter will introduce himself or herself as a representative of Choices.

It is the presenter’s responsibility to drive to the school or group, and bring all the necessary teaching materials with him/her.

It is a requirement that the speaker follow up (text, email, call) with the Educational Coordinator after each school/group.

Each presenter will be asked to have the school teacher or personnel to fill out an evaluation of their presentation and have it mailed back to Choices.

Spokane Planned Parenthood Workers Laugh as Suffering Woman Loaded into an Ambulance

Spokane, WA - While Planned Parenthood workers in Spokane stood nearby laughing, emergency responders loaded a patient into an awaiting ambulance and rushed her to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

The emergency took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015, which was known to be an abortion day at the Planned Parenthood office.

Mary Sorensen, who volunteers for Sidewalk Advocates for Life, told Operation Rescue that the Planned Parenthood workers deployed umbrella to prevent her from getting a good photograph of the incident.

Tom Wolf, Pennsylvania's newly elected Governor announced his intention to appoint Ed Rendell's appointee Pedro Cortes to the position of Secretary of State, a position which oversees abortion facilities, and is supposed to enforce safety regulations.

While serving in the Rendell administration, Cortes' Department of State closed a complaint without investigation into the death of a 22-year-old woman who died following a botched abortion at Gosnell’s facility.

The same day, prosecutors chose to close an investigation brought about by a former Gosnell employee that indicated numerous violations, including using unlicensed workers to administer anesthesia; employing unsterilized instruments; and allowing flea-infested cats to roam the facility. Do we really want to go back to the horrors of Gosnell?

Franklin Graham: America's ‘Culture of Death’ Stems From a 'Sinful, Godless Worldview That Rejects Christ’

Reverend Franklin Graham, son of world renowned evangelical preacher Billy Graham, said that America is increasingly embracing a “culture of death” that echoes what has occurred in Europe, and which stems from a “sinful, godless worldview that rejects Christ.”

A further problem in America, he added, is that “Christianity is constantly under siege from the halls of government and education, which seek to suppress any public expressions of faith.”

“In places like Europe, where Christianity has been in decline as the deceptive forces of secularism and materialism have spread across the continent, it’s not surprising to find the practice of euthanasia so entrenched,” said Rev. Graham in a commentary for the January issue of Decisionmagazine. “Earlier this year, Belgium became the first country in the world to allow child euthanasia with no age limit.”

“I’m concerned that America is not far behind,” said Rev. Graham, who heads the Billy Graham Evangelical Association. “The euthanasia movement—disguised now as ‘death with dignity’—is gaining ground in a number of states. And for every 1,000 live births in the United States, 219 pregnancies end with a murdered child, through abortion.”

Yesterday POLITICO featured the breaking news on their homepage: the House will vote to protect babies from abortion after 5 months of pregnancy as hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers march around the Capitol.

Their first salvo will come from the House, where GOP leaders plan to vote on a federal 20-week abortion ban on Jan. 22. That’s the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade and falls on the same day as the March for Life, an annual mass demonstration of anti-abortion activists on the streets of Washington.

The article highlights SBA List’s effective model of first electing pro-life leaders and then encouraging them to introduce and pass pro-life legislation. POLITICO says the SBA List can be “increasingly optimistic” about passing H.R. 36, having helped elect a pro-life majority in “the House, Senate and a historic number of state legislatures.”

[House Majority Leader] McCarthy met in November with a dozen conservative groups, including the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Susan B. Anthony List, and “reiterated his commitment to the pro-life movement and vowed to ensure that the House of Representatives would be in session and voting during the 2015 March for Life,” a GOP staffer said.

Man Awakens from 12 Years in 'Vegetative State'

He found himself locked inside his own body – unable to speak, make eye contact or even move his own limbs.

Martin’s doctors told his parents, Rodney and Joan Pistorious, that the boy had cryptococci meningitis. They said Martin should be taken home to die in peace.

But Martin would live 12 years in that vegetative state. Joan said, “Martin just kept going, just kept going.”

According to NPR, Martin’s father would wake up every day at 5 a.m., dress the boy, put him in the car and drive him to a special care center.

TERMINATING RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IN THE UK

The adage goes that when it comes to social issues, the United States is at best a decade or two behind Europe. With its cathedrals collecting cobwebs, its laws enshrining all sorts of alternative sexual practices, and its widespread disregard for the sanctity of life, this once-devout home of Christendom could very well be a picture of America's future.

But not everyone in Europe accepts the new secular orthodoxy. Far from it. Many, like Mary Doogan and Concepta Wood, longtime midwives from Scotland, have deep reservations about what many consider standard procedure in their profession. I'm speaking, of course, about abortion.

As Labor Ward Coordinators at Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, Doogan and Wood were exempted from performing or assisting in abortions under the 1967 act that legalized the practice in the U.K.—or so they thought.

After changes in their hospital's maternity services made it likely that more abortions would come their way, these midwives took their reservations to court. Initially, they were told that as heads of their ward, the Abortion Act's exemption clauses didn't apply to them. Even if they refused to carry out the “procedures” personally, the health board ruled, they'd still have to delegate, support, and supervise other staff performing the abortions.

It's the "Fly-In Abortionista"‏

Boston, MA - She calls herself a "fly-in abortionista." Based in Massachusetts, this traveling abortionist has spent stints working at the last abortion clinic in Jackson, Mississippi, and for Planned Parenthood in various Midwestern states, wearing a mask in the likeness of one of the Three Stooges to conceal her identity.

Currently, Nicola Moore is one of several abortionists who fly in to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to abort babies at the Planned Parenthood facility there. Kept open only by out-of-state abortionists, the Sioux Falls Planned Parenthood is the sole abortion facility in that state.

But now, in addition to her job as an itinerant "abortionista," Moore has landed a job with the prestigious Clinton Health Access Initiative, according to documents obtained by Operation Rescue.
