Massachusetts Abortionist Experiments on Fresh Brains of Down Syndrome Babies

Boston, MA -- Abortionist Laurent C. Delli-Bovi, who is the founder and Medical Director at Women's Health Services where abortions are done up to 23 weeks, co-authored a 2011 paper that studied the brains of 22 aborted babies, aged 14-22 weeks, to explore why those with Down syndrome experience mental retardation and early onset of Alzheimer's Disease. The study was funded with public money from the National Institutes of Health.

Of the 22 baby brains used for experimentation, 11 were harvested from five boys and six girls with Down syndrome, while the other 11 brains were harvested from five boys and six girls without the genetic disorder. The latter were used as control subjects during the experimentation process.

All 22 aborted babies' brains were used for experimentation within 2-4 hours after their deaths. This means that the brains were rushed to researchers who were standing by and had likely been notified that the brains were going to be available.

But the clincher is this: none of the mothers of these aborted babies consented to the use of their babies' brains in Delli-Bovi's research project.

If PP Loses Government Funding, Here’s a Map of Health Clinics That Could Take Its Place

Two leading pro-life organizations released a map today intended to showcase the thousands of community health care clinics that could step in for Planned Parenthood if it were to lose federal funding.

The map adds to a heated conversation about whether stripping Planned Parenthood of its $500 million annual taxpayer dollars would hurt women’s health care in America, or if women would be better off without it.

Alliance Defending Freedom and Charlotte Lozier Institute, the education arm of the Susan B. Anthony List, identified the different Planned Parenthood locations and community health care clinics across America.

The two groups argue there are plenty of health centers — that also can receive federal funding — to absorb Planned Parenthood’s patients should the organization be defunded by Congress.

We have wonderful,  news --> the March for Life won its court case against the Obamacare abortion-pill mandate!

Earlier this week, the DC district court ruled in favor of the March for Life over the Obamacare mandate forcing groups to cover health insurance with drugs and devices that can destroy life.

What does this mean? The March for Life will no longer be forced to comply with the abortion-pill mandate, which goes against the very reason that our organization was brought into existence, and continues to exist today.

We are deeply grateful to Alliance Defending Freedom for agreeing to represent the March for Life, and for our gifted attorney, Matt Bowman. We expect an appeal but are basking in gratitude today.

In an incisive talk in Des Moines August 24, Ted Cruz covered the issue of religious liberty in the United States. He was quite aware of the persecution of Christians in the Near East under Islamic regimes. He had a moving chat with the wife of an evangelical pastor imprisoned in Iran. He stated that, if he were elected president, the first thing he would do is to call the Justice and other government departments to order them to stop persecuting Christians.

A systematic, more and more obvious persecution of Christians has been going on for some time. Its briefest statement is that no one can be a citizen of this country and a practicing Christian at the same time. Persecution is now so obvious that it needs little emphasis. Yet, most of our citizens refuse to acknowledge it or do anything about those elected and unelected officials, from the president on down, who carry it out in increasingly ominous ways. This country itself was designed to prevent precisely this sort of public persecution. We suddenly realize that the constitutional mechanism to prevent this persecution is not working but is being used to foster, indeed justify, the persecution.

Abortion Laws and Maternal Deaths

A recent study published in the British Medical Journal has found that laws that restrict or prevent abortion do not lead to higher maternal mortality rates. In fact, the study, based on recent data from Mexico, showed precisely the opposite: higher maternal mortality rates were seen in Mexican states that had relaxed their abortion laws, while lower maternal mortality rates were seen in states where laws restricting abortion were in place. These findings refute the contention of the abortion movement that the legalization of abortion will reduce maternal deaths by preventing complications from unsafe, illegal abortions.

The study is the first ever to analyze the impact of abortion legislation on maternal mortality rates using population data from a country—Mexico—that is carrying out a “natural experiment.” Mexico’s 32 states (including the Federal District) have abortion laws in place of widely varying severity or laxity. The study used the complete vital statistics of live births and maternal deaths from all of Mexico’s states for the period from 2002—2011, and controlled for 10 variables considered to be primary determinants of maternal health, such as literacy rates and access to clear water. The study conducted by a distinguished team of researchers led by Dr. Elard Koch, Director of the MELISA Institute, in close collaboration with Dr. Monique Chireau, epidemiologist at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University, Dr. Fernando Pliego, sociologist at the Institute for Social Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and several others.

The study divided the 32 Mexican states into two groups: states with lax abortion laws and states with strict abortion laws. The Mexican federal district (Mexico City and environs) permits abortion up to the 12th week of pregnancy. However, some states allow abortion after 12 weeks for specific cases. Abortion beyond the 12th week in the case of rape is legal in all 32 states. In 29 states, women are exempt from criminal prosecution in the case of “imprudential” conduct, such as alcoholism or drug addiction. In 25 states they are exempt when the mother’s life is at risk, while in 14 states they are exempt in the case of genetic or congenital malformation. The study used the 14 states in which abortion was permitted beyond the 12th week for genetic or congenital malformation to represent states with more permissive abortion laws, and compared them to the remaining 18 states.

The study found that differences in maternal deaths were not explained by abortion legislation, but by other factors such as literacy rates among women, maternal health care, access to clean water, proper sanitation facilities, fertility rates, and the level of violence against women. Loosening abortion restrictions did not produce a drop in maternal mortality rates.

The study suggests that developing countries do not need to relax abortion laws in order to reduce maternal mortality rates. Rather, they should focus on:

• Increasing access to prenatal care and professional delivery care in maternal health care facilities

• Increasing the number of and access to emergency obstetric units

• Expanding specialized diagnostic centers and prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies

• Developing pre-conception counseling and family planning to promote healthy pregnancies before age 35, and to prevent unintended pregnancies in vulnerable groups

• Expanding and strengthening public policies aimed at increasing the level of education among women

• Improving the detection of violence against pregnant women during prenatal care and by providing intervention in domestic violence cases

• Increasing access to clean drinking water and proper sanitation

Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL, now NARAL Pro-Choice America) have long claimed that legalizing abortion reduces the number of women dying in childbirth.

Just one more lie from the blood-sucking abortion lobby.

Friends in the “Battle of #PPSellsBabyParts”!

Every community in America and beyond must do its part to engage the fight against this horrendous evil.

In September, there will be two big initiatives in Waco. Each will require the collaboration of pro-life warriors outside of Waco for maximum impact.

1. On Tuesday, September 1, Pro-Life Waco launches WEEKLY demonstrations at the sidewalks in front of Bank of America in Waco at the corner of Valley Mills and Lake Air Drive (1100 N. Valley Mills Drive). The time will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

A noon time nightmare for BOA. We will demonstrate at some Bank of America each Tuesday in September. Bank of America (unlike Wells Fargo) insists on maintaining its matching donations program to the barbaric Planned Parenthood. BOA must suffer for this decision. And we will inflict another public black eye on PP so other corporations will retract OR never start donations to Planned Parenthood.
In addition to praying, there are two vital actions you can take wherever you are in the USA.

First, if you live near Waco come and help pack the sidewalks. The signs we have made are powerful. But they will be without effect if BOA managers do not see a dedicated human commitment behind this. 

2. The second Action Request in support of the BOA campaign is so critical. If you live outside of Waco, deliver a demonstration at a Bank of America in your hometown. Is this doable? Sure! This can be done with one person and one free-hand drawn sign. The more the better. You can access the PDF files of these sign we will use here. You can to send these to your sign company to get them made.

Then Tuesday, September 22, Pro-Life Waco will step up to the plate and swing for a home run. We will hold the nation’s first-ever Dawn to Dusk Overpass Outreach. The location will be Interstate-35 near Baylor (where S. 8th Street ends at I-35). The goal is to shine the light for many thousands of travelers on the cruel reality of Planned Parenthood. The liberal press won’t do it. We must be the message on this day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We will have many signs made especially for overpass use. For this unprecedented event, we will have four #PPSellsBabyParts signs—one for I-35 northbound, one for I-35 southbound, and one for each of the service roads. There will be signs for you to hold and friends for you to meet. If you live within driving or flying distance of Waco, I encourage you to start thinking about getting a family group, friend group or church group together to come to Waco for this historic event. From signs to sidewalk chalk, everything about this event will be child friendly. This would be a wonderful outing for a church youth group. Come out any time between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Every person standing in defense of innocent babies multiplies the impact of our discipleship.

Sen. Casey Can't Be Pro-Life and Pro-Planned Parenthood

U.S. Senator Bob Casey tries to make the case that casting a vote against a Planned Parenthood defunding amendment shows him to be pro-life. The mental gymnastics required for this audacious statement are truly mind-boggling.

Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion operation, receives more than a half-billion hard-earned taxpayer dollars each year. Any organization that garners that much in taxpayer revenue should be under scrutiny. But when that organization's high-ranking doctors are caught on camera blithely discussing the harvesting of baby body parts while dining on salad and imbibing wine...haggling over the price of baby organs while talking about dreams of Lamborghinis...and discussing altering abortion procedures to procure intact hearts, livers, and brains...wouldn't you think twice about giving the giant non-profit more money? Especially if you say you're pro-life?

The undercover videos of Planned Parenthood released by the Center for Medical Progress have been a game-changer. The old argument that the Senator uses-that he opposes abortion but supports the rest of Planned Parenthood's operations-just won't work anymore. The Congressional investigation into Planned Parenthood's activities continues. Questions have arisen as to not only whether Planned Parenthood is illegally profiting from the sale of baby body parts, but also whether it has violated the federal Partial-Birth Abortion ban and the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.

Let's take a closer look at the Senator's contention that Planned Parenthood should be federally funded because of its non-abortion activities. To begin with, contrary to popular belief, Planned Parenthood does not perform mammograms, as confirmed by news outlets such as the Washington Post. And according to information obtained from Planned Parenthood's own annual reports, cancer screening and prevention programs at its facilities declined by about half from 2009 to 2013.

Moreover, the legislation which Senator Casey opposed would have re-directed federal Planned Parenthood funds to federally qualified health centers. As female Senator and prime sponsor Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) stated in a news release, the measure would have channeled "federal funding taken from Planned Parenthood to other eligible entities that provide health services for women, and guarantees that there is absolutely no reduction in overall federal funding available to support women's health."

Community health centers perform the services that Planned Parenthood does-without performing abortions. Therefore, Senator Casey's vote was not a vote for women's health-it was a vote in solidarity with Planned Parenthood.

According to National Right to Life's Congressional scorecard for 2013-14, Senator Casey voted the pro-life position only 20 percent of the time. He cannot claim the name pro-lifer when 80 percent of his votes are anti-life.

Senator Casey cannot have it both ways. He cannot stand with Planned Parenthood and declare that he is pro-life. His father, the much-respected former Governor of Pennsylvania, Robert Casey, was willing to stand up to party bosses in defense of human life. His son should follow his example.
