“Abortionist to the Stars” Botches TWO Late Term Abortions During 911 Emergencies in 2017, Records Show

By Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Beverly Hills, CA – It appears as an upscale doctor’s office in the tony Southern California community of Beverly Hills. Photos of the interior of the office show lighted artwork on the walls and furnishings that would make a woman of means feel at home.

But appearances can be deceiving.

In reality, the Pro-Choice Medical Center, owned and operated by “Abortionist to the Stars” Josepha Seletz, is a very late-term abortion facility with a worrisome safety record.

Operation Rescue has obtained 911 records related to two medical emergencies that occurred there so far this year. Previously obtained records document at least three more such incidents within the past two years.

The most recent call to 911 took place on May 3, 2017. The recording indicates a 33-year old female had just completed an “outpatient pregnancy termination” and required emergency care for bleeding after the abortion.

“Patient had an outpatient pregnancy termination and we’re trying rule out a little bit of DAC at this point so observation,” the caller from the abortion facility said.

Apparently the 911 dispatcher did not understand the caller, because she asked, “Just in layman’s terms, what’s wrong with her, please?”

Finally, the caller clarified by saying, “She had a pregnancy termination, a fetal demise, a baby’s died and she’s been bleeding after the procedure.”

The fact that the caller indicated there had been a “fetal demise” indicates this was likely a late-term abortion.

The woman was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where Seletz holds hospital privileges.

Another 911 recording showed that a medical emergency took place at the Pro-Choice Medical Center on April 18, 2017, which sent another woman to Cedars-Sinai for emergency care that could not be provided at Seletz’s abortion facility.

“We are an outpatient surgery facility. We had a patient who had a second trimester pregnancy termination and that Dr. Seletz has ruled out at this time that it’s a probable DIC or she’s just bleeding with uh ya know, we’ve been observing her for a couple of hours but there’s no stop,” the caller explained to the 911 dispatcher.

“Two women within two weeks had late-term abortions that went wrong at Seletz’ abortion facility. These 911 recordings prove just how dangerous late-term abortions really are for women and how barbaric they are for the growing babies,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “They also show an urgent need to ban these horrific abortion procedures.”

Operation Rescue previously obtained Computer Aided Dispatch printout from three other medical emergencies at Seletz’s late-term abortion facility. Those 911 incidents took place on November 4, 2015; December 2, 2015; and June 29, 2016.

Planned Parenthood Annual Report: 82 Abortions for Every Adoption Referral

By Brandon Showalter
Christian Post

Planned Parenthood's latest annual report reveals that for every adoption referral the organization made they performed 82 abortions, and the federal government is the group's largest source of funding.

The abortion giant received more than $543 million in federal dollars in the most recent fiscal year despite seeing fewer patients, a 61 percent increase over what they received ten years ago, Catholic News Agency reported Thursday. Last year the group saw 2.4 million patients at its hundreds of locations nationwide.

Planned Parenthood's excess revenue also increased by 27 percent from $77.5 million to $98.5 million. The group performed a total of 321,384 abortion procedures, approximately 878 per day, in fiscal year 2016-2017.

CNS columnist Terence P. Jeffrey ran the numbers further, calculating that if Planned Parenthood had done its abortion procedures around the clock for the entire year, they would have had to abort around 37 babies per hour, one every 98 seconds, to make their yearly total.

The report further revealed that the number of patients receiving contraceptive services decreased last year, an ongoing trend for the organization since 2009 when Planned Parenthood provided over 4 million contraceptives to patients. The number of cancer screenings and pre-natal care services also dropped, according to the report. The Christian Post previously reported that the pre-natal services the group offered were already sparse, in very few locations.

"Government Health Services Reimbursements & Grants" made up the highest percentage of Planned Parenthood's funding at 37 percent its total revenue. 60 percent of Planned Parenthood's expenses were listed as "medical services."
Pro-life advocates continue to maintain that the abortion giant should be defunded, and that the group's latest figures serve as even more confirmation.
"Planned Parenthood's latest annual report demonstrates that the abortion giant's bottom line is, as always, its 'bottom line,'" said Catherine Glenn Foster, president of Americans United for Life, in an email statement to The Christian Post.
"Critical patient services such as prenatal care are dropping like a rock, while when it comes to abortion, Planned Parenthood continues to push aggressively to corner the market. Planned Parenthood locations are outnumbered by comprehensive, community-based health clinics 20 to 1, and its affiliates provide services to far less than 1% of the American population, with its client numbers dropping every year."
Thirty-two Planned Parenthood clinics across America have reportedly closed in the past year, a fact that was not mentioned in the annual report.
"This report demonstrates that truly, we can – and should – provide safe and holistic health care without Planned Parenthood," Foster concluded.
While the federal Hyde amendment prohibits government funds from going to pay for abortions, others are pointing out that the grants free up Planned Parenthood's resources they would not otherwise have.

Help us Protect Babies in the Womb Who Feel Pain - Join Priests for Life Webcast on January 9th

Father Frank Pavone
National Director, Priests for Life

Please join us for a special webcast on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 9pm ET to learn how you can help protect babies in the womb from abortion procedures that painfully tear them apart limb from limb.

Priests for Life has released a series of undercover phone calls, with more to come, as part of an effort to educate Americans about the reality of late term abortion performed on healthy women carrying healthy children. Late term abortion is a common practice and is not done only for health reasons as some claim.

Of course, every abortion is morally unacceptable, but when people hear that healthy babies of healthy mothers are being aborted at 32 weeks of pregnancy, that is more startling to them. That is what these calls to abortion clinics reveal.

Even most pro-choice people oppose these late term abortions.

The Senate will be voting soon on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act which could protect these babies, so we need to encourage our Senators to support that bill.

Find out what more you can do to spread the word about the practice of late term abortion and how you can help stop it.

Register for the webcast at www.priestsforlife.org/webcast. When you sign up you will be given the information to listen by phone or over the web.

Please let others know about this webcast as well and encourage them to join us.

Kelsey Grammer Wears Pro-Life T-Shirt: ‘Would it Bother Us More if They Used Guns?’

On Wednesday, actor Kelsey Grammer posted a picture of himself wearing the pro-life shirt on abortion: “Would it Bother Us More if They Used Guns?” Grammer is best known for starring in NBC sitcoms Cheers and Frasier, and has garnered five Prime Time Emmy Awards and Three Golden Globes.

The pro-abortion Huffington Post criticized Grammer’s pro-life views and said his t-shirt had a “disturbing message.” However, the star isn’t too worried about his critics because he has always been a rebel in Hollywood.

In a previous interview with Piers Morgan,Grammer said, “I don’t tend to warm too well to people that tell me how I’m supposed to think. So, my life in Hollywood — I’m afraid I was destined to be a Republican.”

On Instagram, Kelsey and his wife, Kayte Grammer, also posted a pro-life quote from Republican Presidential candidate Ben Carson that read: “We’ve distorted things to the point where people believe that anyone who opposes mothers killing their babies is waging a war on women. How can we be so foolish to believe such a thing? One must be able to recognize the depravity to which we have sunken as a society when valuing a baby’s life is frowned upon.”

Grammer’s pro-life beliefs stand in stark contrast to the views of many pro-abortion stars in Hollywood such as Rosie O’Donnell, Scarlet Johansson and Planned Parenthood spokesperson Lena Dunham. In 2014, both Johansson and Dunham designed t-shirts to promote Planned Parenthood and “women’s rights.”

Additionally, O’Donnell made headlines in August for saying she would like to do this to pro-lifers: I’d like to take my period blood I no longer have and write, ‘you’re all a—s.’ I’d like to smear it all over some people’s faces.” O’Donnell was referring to pro-life Senate Republicans who tried to de-fund the abortion company in light of videos showing their top executives haggling over the price of aborted babies’ body parts.

As LifeNews previously reported, Grammer made an appearance at the National Right to Life convention in New Orleans to meet with pro-life advocates in July.

Judge Slams Parental Notification Law, Claims Teen Girls Have a “Constitutional Right to Abortion”

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

A 7th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge criticized Indiana on Friday for trying to help ensure that parents are aware when their minor daughter has an abortion.

Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union are challenging the state law, which requires abortion facilities to obtain proof of consent from a parent or legal guardian before a minor daughter gets an abortion.

The law gives parents/legal guardians a civil recourse if someone fraudulently poses as a parent in order for a minor girl to get an abortion, and it makes sure parents are aware if a minor appears before a judge to request an abortion without parental consent.

“This seems designed to encourage interference with a girl’s constitutional right to an abortion,” U.S. Circuit Judge Illana Rovner said.

Courthouse News reports Rovner and two other judges on the court considered an appeal to uphold the law Friday.

The ACLU of Indiana claimed the law violates young girls’ constitutional rights by imposing “new burdens” on their access to abortion. They also contended that young girls may seek abortions because of abusive home environments – an argument that does not make sense because the law allows a judge to wave the parental consent requirement in such cases.

On Friday, Indiana Solicitor General Thomas Fisher emphasized the importance of parents knowing when their daughter has a medical procedure, especially one as physically and emotionally traumatizing as an abortion.
“Parents have a right to know what’s happening to their children,” Fisher said. “Planned Parenthood cannot show this law will inevitably interfere with the abortion rights of minors.”
However, the appeals court judges appeared to agree with the abortion activists. According to the report: Judge [David] Hamilton voiced particular concern for girls in foster care, who have a much higher rate of abortions.

Kenneth Falk, an attorney challenging the law for Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, or PPINK, seized on the same point.

“Evidence shows that notice will lead to abuse – both physical and emotional,” Falk said. “Evidence shows women will be cast out of their homes.”

Parental notification/parental consent laws have strong public support. Currently, 37 states require some type of parental involvement in a minor’s abortion, according to the Guttmacher Institute.

PBS Program Investigates “Black Genocide,” How Abortion Targets African-Americans

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

A new investigation by PBS’s “Frontline” highlighted the genocide of abortion in the black community and the work that pro-lifers are doing to protect unborn black lives.

Though PBS typically is biased toward abortion, the Rev. Clenard H. Childress said he was pleasantly surprised that the report was fair and balanced, the Jacksonville Free Press reports.

Childress, who was featured extensively in the report, is the assistant national director of LEARN, the largest African-American evangelical pro-life organization in the United States.

The program “Anti-abortion Crusaders: Inside the African-American Abortion Battle”aired in December. It centered around the key message of black pro-life advocates: “The most dangerous place for an African-American child is in the womb.” People can watch it online here.

The abortion rate is disproportionately high in the black American community. Even though black Americans make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, 35 percent of the babies killed in abortions are black, according to the Centers for Disease Control. The black genocide of abortion is disturbingly evident in New York City, where state data shows more black babies are aborted than are born.

Many believe that Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities target black women for abortions. One analysis found that the abortion chain placed 79 percent of its abortion facilities within walking distance of minority neighborhoods.

“Planned Parenthood has taken it far beyond what the Klu Klux Klan thought they could possibly take it,” Childress said on the program. “How do you calm down over genocide?
“We need more African-Americans informed on the best kept secret in America; that is black genocide via the targeting of African Americans by the abortion industry,” he continued.
