New Planned Parenthood President Works at Kinsey Institute, Named for Man Who Sexually Abused Children

The Planned Parenthood abortion business has hired a new president and CEO. No this is not the replacement for Cecile Richards in the national headquarters, but this is a replacement for the CEO of Planned Parenthood’s affiliate in the Midwest.

The abortion company hired Brandon Hill to head up its affiliate that covers the states of Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

He’ll is the former executive director of a center for Research into sexual issues. But his ties with the Kinsey Institute at the University of Indiana or raised a number of pro-life eyebrows. The Kinsey Institute has a sordid history and its namesake is known for its connections to pedophilia and sexual abuse.

The regional office of Planned Parenthood has selected a new president and CEO.

Brandon Hill, formerly executive director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Inquiry and Innovation in Sexual and Reproductive Health at the University of Chicago, assumed the role on Thursday.

Hill says he’s eager to move from reproductive research to advocacy.

“I think we’re in a particularly critical time in this political landscape to where I couldn’t just stay in my lab,” Hill says.

Hill is also a research fellow at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction at Indiana University, and he has a history of work as a clinic counselor for Planned Parenthood. He holds a Ph.D. in gender studies from Indiana University.

Dr. Alfred Kinsey authored the “Kinsey Reports” in 1948 and 1953. These reports were the basis for a sexual revolution that promoted and sanctioned pedophelia. Kinsey’s research was disproportionally based on surveys of prison inmates, sex offenders, and prostitutes.

The pro-life group Concerned Women for America once issued a report titled A Nation Deceived that further chronicled Kinsey. It said: “To obtain data about the sexual behavior of children, Dr. Kinsey worked with trained pedophiles who sexually abused hundreds of children (as young as two months) to prove to the world that infants, toddlers, and juveniles could enjoy sex pre-puberty with the help of an adult. Their sexual torture was recorded as pleasure.”

“Instead of being lionized, Kinsey’s proper place is with Nazi doctor Josef Mengele or your average Hollywood horror flick mad scientist,” Robert Knight of Concerned Women of America’s Culture & Family Institute said.

Knight calls Kinsey the godfather of the “campaign to strike down abortion laws,” adding, “he was a sexual revolutionary masquerading as an objective scientist.”

Meanwhile Focus on the Family and other groups blame Kinsey for ushering in an era of sex education that has led to promiscuity and abortion on demand.

Tim Tebow’s Terrific Super Bowl Ad Remembered

"I call him my miracle baby. He almost didn’t make it into this world."

Yesterday I wrote a post that observed as of Thursday morning, I had not seen any Super Bowl commercials (leaked or previewed) that had a pro-life emphasis. So I revisited the famous Doritos “Ultrasound” ad.

Today, still not seeing any ad to write home about, I’d like to remember the famous commercial Tim Tebow madewith his mother. Prior to it being shown pro-abortionists had no idea what it would say, but that did not prevent them from going off the deep end.

It was a reminder of what we’ve seen more and more: an attempt to censor pro-life speech, even the most “inoffensive” and even if pro-abortionists hadn’t seen what they were trying to censor.

Here’s what I wrote back in 2010:

We’re still battling the elements in the Washington, DC-Metro area (20 plus inches of snow over the weekend wreaked havoc with getting to work today), but that didn’t stop us from watching a very entertaining Super Bowl last night and the highly anticipated 30-second spot featuring Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam.

I grant you, this sounds one-sided, but the intolerant way the usual pro-abortion suspects responded in anticipation of a forthcoming “pro-life ad” played out exactly the way you would’ve expected. They attacked and whined and groused and bad-mouthed Mrs. Tebow. And that’s when they were on their best behavior.

Waving their “pro-choice” banners they were determined to censor her right to celebrate her choice to go ahead with a difficult pregnancy. “Pro-aborts behaving badly” was enough to give “pro-choice” a bad name.

But equally unsurprising was the ingenious nature of the ad Focus on the Family composed which umpteen gabillion people saw last night around 6:45 EST. It was folksy, funny, and fabulously effective.

Of course anything that subtly conveyed a pro-life message, rather than bludgeoned the audience–well, pro-abortionists would more have anticipated a pro-life conversion by President Obama. No pro-lifer could possibly be intelligent enough to use the spot to initiate a conversation, and then invite the viewer to go to Focus’s website for the details of Tim Tebow’s genuinely incredible story.

And I had to laugh out loud this morning when I read one news account that accused Tebow of “playing it safe.”

Goodness, gracious.

Liberal Media Disgustingly Accuse Adoptive Couple at Trump’s State of the Union of Coercing Baby’s Mother

What on earth is wrong with people? Instead of celebrating an adoptive couple’s touching story, highlighted at the State of the Union, some media began a rumor that the parents coerced one mother to hand them her child. And, as they bashed the president for not saying more, they themselves left out key details.

The fact is, because Donald Trump liked the story, a whole swath of the left automatically hate it. Add in some liberals’ passionate lectures about identity, privilege and power, and they’re doing their best to make a compassionate human act into yet another oppressive outrage.

On Tuesday night, Albuquerque policeman Ryan Holets, and his wife, Rebecca, attended the State of the Union as guests of the president and first lady. During his address, President Trump told the parents of five that they “embody the goodness of our Nation.” That’s because last year the two adopted a little girl named Hope, whose mother was addicted to drugs.

The president told the story:

Last year, Holets was on duty when he saw a pregnant, homeless woman preparing to inject heroin. When Holets told her she was going to harm her unborn child, she began to weep. She told him she did not know where to turn, but badly wanted a safe home for her baby.

“In that moment, Holets said he felt God speak to him: ‘You will do it – because you can.’ He took out a picture of his wife and their four kids. Then, he went home to tell his wife Rebecca. In an instant, she agreed to adopt.

Both conservative and most liberal media praised the “powerful” story. But others, like Splinter and Slate, baselessly accused Holets of pressuring the birth mother, Cyrstal Champ, to give up Hope.

Beginning with its headline, Univision-owned Splinter (formerly Fusion), mocked the Holets Tuesday evening as a “nice white couple taking a homeless addict’s baby.” Then Editor and writer Katherine Krueger charged Holets of showing Champ a photo of his own family in order to “guilt her into giving up her baby.”

Rather than support her claim, she went on to cherry-pick a December CNN story of the adoption. “Cherry-pick,” meaning she ignored the part where CNN reported that Crystal “emotionally told Holets that she desperately hoped someone would adopt her baby” before he offered to do just that.

In Waco, Texas, So Much to do in Preparation for 40 Days for Life

1. Four precious babies saved.

 

Last Wednesday Thursday Friday, January 24/25/26, were abortion days in Waco. This was also the first set of days that CareNet Pregnancy Center of Central Texas was positioned on site across the street from Planned Parenthood with its big beautiful purple sonogram bus.

That's the name I've given it. On Wednesday, an abortion-minded mom left Planned Parenthood for CareNet counselling and decided on life for her baby. On Thursday, an abortion-minded mom left Planned Parenthood for CareNet counselling and decided on life for her baby. On Friday, TWO abortion-minded mom left Planned Parenthood for CareNet counselling and decided on life for their baby. Glory be to God. And praise and appreciation to Care Net. Life and eternity were changed for 4 families.


2. Centex Care Net CEO is featured speaker to Texas Rallies for Life.

While on CareNet, you should know that CareNet CEO, Deborah McGregor, was a featured speaker at the Roe-week rallies in Dallas and Austin. The state of Texas realizes that the major front of the abortion battle in this great state is WACO. 3. 40 Days for Life begins February 14. We need your commitment.

 

Yikes! Thursday was Feb 1. The babies and moms need your commitment to pray now. Here are the specifics of 40 Days for Life prayer vigil at the new Planned Parenthood.

You can be a prayer volunteer for as little as one hour during the 40 days. But I’m hopeful that you will sign up for one hour (or more) each week for each of the six weeks. After you sign up you can then bring others into the blessings of 40 Days for Life. Here is a link to the sign-up form.

4. Sidewalk counselling training happens this Saturday, Feb 3. 

The time is 9 AM to 2 PM. The location is St. Mary's Parish Hall, 1424 Columbus Ave. (map) This is the corner of Columbus Ave and 15th St.

CareNet Pregnancy Center sponsors this event and uses the training materials from a national outreach organization, Sidewalk Advocates for Life.

This is definitely for you if you have an interest in talking to and counselling abortion-minded moms and all clients of Planned Parenthood in Waco. This is also valuable for anyone simply trying to improve their ability to carry out persuasive conversations about the scourge of abortion.

If you will be a part of this event simply respond to this email and say "I'm in for sidewalk counselling on Saturday." This will be one of the most memorable days of 2018 for you.
Remember, sidewalk counselling played a significant role in saving the lives of four preborn babies last week!

5. Pro-Life Waco Overpass Outreach has highest attendance of any Roe week event in Texas

 

Some say the Dallas rally was most attended. Others say it was Austin at the state capital. Actually, the greatest number viewed the I-35 Pedestrian Overpass Outreach in Waco. We estimate 15,000 travelers view our message in the two hours hour from 10 a.m. to noon on January 22. Two dozen home town foot soldiers delivered high-spirited outreach. Three local TV news journalists came out and covered the event. The best coverage was from KWTX, the CBS affiliate in Waco. This link will take you to the text of the very positive news segment.

6. Get you your yard sign yesterday—or at least today.

 

This is a powerful way that everyone can participate in 40 Days for Life. This year we have yard signs in both English and Spanish. The message in big letters in English is "Pray to end abortion". In Spanish,​ it is "Oremos por el fin del aborto". Your choice.

You can pick up a yard sign at my front door steps at 4200 Grim Ave. My home will pop out clearly when you get close with all the pro-life yard signs I have. With a yard sign on your property, you tell your neighbors and passersby that you are praying and standing for the little babies endangered by abortion. If you have a friend who will display a yard sign, pick up two. Yard signs are free to life defenders.

Finally

Life Chain outreach is this Sunday. 2-3 p.m. Corner of Valley Mills and Waco Drive (map). Look for the Billboard Truck near Pei Wei Restaurant. This is one more way that the Central Texas band of brothers and sister for life can proclaim their message and possibly save a life and/or change one heart.

Pennsylvania Action Alert: Support Unborn Children with Down Syndrome

As many as 90 percent of unborn children diagnosed in utero with Down Syndrome in the United States are aborted, according to the findings of some studies.

Legislation that will be introduced into the Pennsylvania House of Representatives would enact a ban on aborting an unborn child as a result of a Down Syndrome diagnosis.

It is imperative to protect the sanctity of life at every stage, and this bill would protect Down Syndrome children in the womb.

At this time, the lawmakers introducing the bill are requesting fellow state representatives to support this bill.

The Long-Term Impact of the March for Life

My initiation into the pro-life movement came on a cold January 22nd in seventh grade, when our teacher led us to our state Capitol for our own makeshift demonstration for life. As I stood shivering holding my sign, I wondered to myself, “Where are all the people?”

I had no idea they were in Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life. Even though, as a young girl, I was a large consumer of television news, I had no knowledge of the March, or the vast crowds it attracted to the nation’s capital.

Times have not changed all that much—the March, which has been called the largest annual peaceful demonstration in the country, never attracts sufficient media attention. The appearance of the President via video feed this year merited some mention among national news outlets, but in-depth coverage of this impressive event is often difficult to find.

That is a shame, because it is truly a life-changing event. When I finally made it to the March as an adult, I was overcome by emotion as I saw the sea of humanity flowing through the streets of Washington, standing up and marching on behalf of those who will never see the sun above the U.S. Supreme Court building—the 60 million preborn children who have died from legal abortion since the tragic Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton cases of 1973.

What struck me at my first March was the sheer immensity of the crowd. As a young reporter, when I finally had some semblance of knowledge about the March, I envisioned a few thousand people—not the masses that descend on D.C. every year.

While I had come to the March to express my solidarity with preborn children and their mothers, I also felt the strong bond of fellowship with people of all ages, races, nationalities, and religions who had come together to celebrate life. I was awestruck in that moment, and I consider it to be one of the highlights of my life.

I salute all who sacrifice time, sleep, and comfort, who brave the elements, to march for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for our most vulnerable citizens. I weep with the women and men of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, who courageously share their testimonies of life after abortion. And I smile with all the young people who have taken up the baton and march proudly alongside their parents and grandparents.

I hope there will come a day when we no longer have to march—when Roe v. Wade is overturned, and every single child from every conceivable circumstance is cherished and loved. But until that time, I am thankful for all those who, during the dead of winter, publicly witness to the joy of life—and our civic duty to protect it, no matter what the cost or inconvenience.

Tennessee Bill Would Ban Abortions After Baby’s Heartbeat is Detected

Legislators in Tennessee will consider a bill to ban all abortions and protect preborn children once a fetal heartbeat is detected. House Bill 0108 was introduced by Rep. James Van Huss (R-Jonesborough) in January, and last week House members moved the measure to committee. As written, the bill “requires fetal heartbeat testing prior to an abortion and prohibits abortions from the point a fetal heartbeat is detected except in certain medical emergencies.”

The introduction of Van Huss’s bill places Tennessee among several states that have considered “heartbeat” legislation. The first federal heartbeat bill was also introduced last year.

Science tells us that life begins at the moment of fertilization, and a heartbeat is an undeniable indication of life. Studies show that a baby’s heart begins to beat 22 days after fertilization, and recent research even suggests that a child’s heart may begin beating as early as 16 days. The Tennessee bill would require abortionists to give women the opportunity to see or hear the fetal heartbeat.

Van Huss introduced a similar bill last year, which was rejected following the opinion of Tennessee’s attorney general, who claimed that the legislation may be challenged in federal court. Federal appeals courts overturned heartbeat bills passed in North Dakota and Arkansas; however, the Supreme Court has yet to rule on this type of legislation and refused to hear the appeal.

8 States Try to Force Little Sisters of the Poor to Pay for Abortions

For years under the Obama administration, the Little Sisters of the Poor and other faith-based organizations had to fight to continue to occupy the role they had always occupied in serving the public good.

While some large for-profit companies like Exxon and Pepsi were exempt from the HHS contraceptive mandate requiring employers to cover free drugs and services that can destroy human embryos, the previous administration refused to honor the request of faith-based nonprofits which objected both to the mandate and the accounting gimmicks imposed through regulations supposedly granting an “accommodation.”

It was a simple request; the organizations just didn’t want to be forced into something that violated their consciences. Why should Catholic nuns be forced to cover contraceptive or embryo destroying drugs in their health plans? The Obama administration shrugged, however, and insisted on forcing them to take part—which led to years of ongoing litigation after the Little Sisters and others stood their ground over the accounting gimmicks. This needless harassment of elderly nuns, whose mission is to take care of the poor, became an election issue, and then-candidate Trump promised to protect them if elected.

After entering office, President Trump did follow through, and last May issued an executive order protecting religious freedom and specifically mentioning the need to protect these faith-based groups from the unfair HHS mandate.

And this past October, his administration followed through on the executive order, with HHS issuing new rules exempting the Little Sisters and others from the mandate and the accounting gimmicks to which they were subject. These rules finally offer a proper exemption which the Obama-era rules never did, and consequently should end the years of litigation which the nuns and others have been caught up in.

Alas, it was not to be so. Enter a number of liberal, anti-faith state officials intent on political grandstanding. These folks are not happy with the nice solution provided by HHS, and have sued the Trump administration over these new rules.

Whether it is an inability to live and be happy with anything President Trump does, or a desire to continue steamrolling the Little Sisters at the behest of “women’s’ rights” (I suppose the “women’s’ rights” of the Little Sisters don’t matter much), these state politicians from liberal-leaning states have chosen to prolong needless litigation and use state resources to force those with moral and conscience objections to violate their deeply held beliefs.

350,000 Reached Out to Option Line in 2017 for Life-Saving Pregnancy Help

Entering 2018 just a few thousand contacts shy of 3 million since answering its first call in 2003, Heartbeat International’s 24-7, 365 pregnancy helpline Option Line responded to well over 350,000 women facing an unexpected or difficult pregnancy in 2017. Here’s the story of just one call.

“Sandra” wanted to know everything she could discover about the so-called “abortion pill,” a two-step chemical abortion that first takes the life of a child and then—days later—induces preterm labor.

Among many questions, Sandra wanted to know how the process works, as well as if she would need to take time off work to get the abortion. Even while she was asking the questions, however, Sandra broke down into sobbing.

Suddenly, she was no longer able to hold in or ignore her feelings, and the tears came pouring out. The consultant allowed Sandra to cry and regain her composure before gently asking a question that offered unexpected relief. 

“Do you want to talk to someone at a pregnancy center about your concerns before you make a decision you may regret?”

Through her tears, Sandra said yes, and the consultant connected her with a pregnancy center in her town where she could have a face-to-face conversation with the best alternative to abortion—another person.

One Woman at a Time

Women in Sandra’s situation reach out to Option Line 1,000 times every day via call, text, email and live chat. In 2017 alone, Option Line answered 353,367 cries for help—a 49 percent increase from 2016.

The growth in contacts corresponds to a similar increase in visits to Option Line’s website (www.OptionLine.org) in 2017.

Option Line’s goal is to connect each woman with one of the 2,752 pro-life pregnancy help centers and ultrasound-equipped medical clinics across the U.S.—plus hundreds more in Canada. As the only fully-staffed 24-7 pregnancy helpline in the nation, Option Line answers the call—in English and Spanish—for dozens of helplines and national outreaches, including the National Safe Haven Alliance, Bethany Christian Services, Heroic Media and more.
