VIDEO: Crying Twins Weston and Caleb Comfort Each Other After birth

By Nancy Flanders
Live Action News

We all know that twins bond in the womb, and that bond can stick with them throughout their lives. Now one set of twin newborn boys is showing us just how strong that twin to twin connection is and how social human beings are, even before birth.

Weston and Caleb Lyman were just moments old when their father Dane captured an adorable moment between the two babies after they were separated during birth. Both babies were screaming as newborns do, but were otherwise healthy and their delivery went well. When they were brought back together, they were instantly soothed.

“Immediately after delivery, I followed the boys to see how long they were and how much they weighed,” Dane Lyman told News Center Maine. “That’s when I got the footage. It was one of the sweetest things to watch and I’m so glad I caught it on video.”
Dane Lyman is a medical student and his wife Lisa is a nurse and stay-at-home mom to two little girls, and now their twin boys as well.
“One of our greatest hopes, when we found out we were having twins, was that, as they grew, they would be good friends and support one another. Seeing them comfort each other just moments after birth was almost like the first step in that special relationship,” said Dane Lyman.
The video of the twins has been viewed over three million times and the family hopes it brings a smile to the faces of everyone who watches it.

Internet Abortions

Martin Fox, President
National Pro-Life Alliance

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, continues to expand new ways to slaughter innocent unborn lives.

In their most recent annual report, Planned Parenthood boasted that their online “services” expanded by 320% last year.  What they failed to mention, however, is that their so-called “services” is code for performing abortions over a webcam.

These “webcam abortions” begin with an online meeting between the abortionist and an expectant mother.  After a brief interview (and the assurance that the payment went through) the abortionist prescribes a deadly mix of pills designed to kill the baby and force a bloody miscarriage.

So the mother takes these poison pills and goes home to sit and wait alone for the agony and hemorrhaging to begin.

Already, Planned Parenthood operates twenty-four webcam abortion facilities across the country, and they intend to expand webcam abortions even further. In fact, the abortion giant has already announced their plans to open TEN new webcam abortion facilities this year.

Since webcams allow abortionists to administer their deadly poisons without actually being present, webcam abortions have made it even easier for abortionists to slaughter the unborn.

Once again, Planned Parenthood’s claim to be a women’s health provider is given the lie.  It’s a tough battle for us pro-lifers, but with your help we will ultimately prevail.

Court Won’t Remove Judge Who Blocked More Videos Exposing Aborted Baby Part Sales Despite Planned Parenthood Ties

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

A federal appeals court has refused to remove the judge who blocked more videos exposing Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry’s sales of aborted baby parts from overseeing the case the abortion businesses have filed against David Daleiden — who exposed them in the first place. The appeals court made the decision despite the fact that the judge in the case has ties to the Planned Parenthood abortion company.

As LifeNews as reported, David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) filed a motion in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to request the removal of Judge William Orrick in the lawsuit brought against them by Planned Parenthood, pointing to his ties to Planned Parenthood.

According to Daleiden’s petition, Judge Orrick has “an ongoing and longstanding professional relationship with one of the named Plaintiffs.” Orrick is a founder and officer of the Good Samaritan Family Resource Center (GSFRC), an organization that partners with Planned Parenthood and had a Planned Parenthood clinic incorporated on its premises while Orrick served as secretary and counsel to the organization.

The petition also cites the use of Orrick’s image by his wife in Facebook posts to “endorse inflammatory public statements about the disputed facts of this case – statements that denigrated the principal Defendant in the harshest terms, while lauding Plaintiffs.”

Orrick’s wife used his image in a post that referred to CMP’s undercover videos, allegedly exposing Planned Parenthood’s illegal trafficking in fetal tissue, as “domestic terrorism.”

“Judge Orrick is part of the Planned Parenthood family,” Daleiden said previously.
But the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals late yesterday, sided with the abortion industry, according to an email from Tom Brejcha, President & Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Society, to LifeNews.
“The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit denied our petition to remove Judge William Orrick from David Daleiden’s cases against Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation.,” he explained. “You’ll recall that the Judge Orrick has close ties to Planned Parenthood and his wife is an outspoken abortion activist.”
Brejcha said, “This is another frustrating setback for David – especially after just last month the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear our appeal of the “gag order” injunction Judge Orrick hit David with at the request of the National Abortion Federation. But that just means our Thomas More Society team must fight even harder to clear David’s name so he can release the videos from his undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood.”
“Planned Parenthood won’t spare a dime going after the one pro-life activist who can destroy them with the click of an email,” he continued. “And since it looks like we’re going to trial in Judge Orrick’s courtroom, David Daleiden needs our help more than ever.”
Daleiden and his lawyers say Orrick and his wife assisted in getting a Planned Parenthood clinic at GSFRC while they served there.
“Judge Orrick’s image has been deployed repeatedly online in support of terrible statements referring to the CMP videos as ‘domestic terrorism,’ literally ‘domestic terrorism,’” said Peter Breen of the Thomas More Society, the pro-life legal group representing Daleiden and CMP.
Daleiden petitioned the Supreme Court in August to remove a gag order that Judge Orrick issued barring CMP from releasing additional undercover footage. The high court refused.

In Memory of Alfie Evans, We Must Press Forward

By Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

I will never forget that night. My baby daughter, who had been battling a bad cold, was struggling for breath. In the emergency room, surrounded by children in similar straits, I heard from the doctor the words no parent ever wants to hear: "Your child is the sickest one here."

The fear that gripped me was unfathomable. I felt so helpless, so desperate for a cure. Thankfully, my baby girl rebounded enough to be sent home with a nebulizer, a machine that vaporized liquid medication for her to inhale, and a preliminary diagnosis of asthma.

I could have never dreamed that night that my daughter would grow to be a star ballerina and a competitive swimmer. Such athletic feats seemed far beyond her reach. But with patience, practice, and prayer, she grew in health and strength.

This is why, I believe, the story of little Alfie Evans so touches my heart. I can relate to his parents, so desperate and determined to get him the best care possible. I can understand their anguish when the UK hospital in which he was trapped refused to give him that care--in fact, even blocked him from traveling to an overseas facility for treatment.

When I posted on my Facebook page the horrifying news that Alfie had died, I received more comments than I have ever fielded for a social media post. The comments all carried with them intense sorrow at the injustice of Alfie's plight.

But I will not rest in grief. The case has invigorated my opposition to euthanasia. In memory of Alfie, I believe we who recognize the sanctity of innocent human life must press on, willing to peacefully battle the powers-that-be to restore protection for the most innocent and most vulnerable among us.

Alfie's young life can never be replaced. But he remains our hero, a martyr victimized by a cold-hearted court system and medical establishment. May he rest in eternal peace, and may we nobly fight on.

Terri Schiavo’s Brother Slams Courts That Condemned Alfie Evans to Death

By Steve Ertelt
Life News

The brother of Terri Schiavo has slammed the British court system that essentially condemned Alfie Evans to death. Bobby Schindler tells LifeNews that courts should never have prevent Afie’s parents from caring for their son, who ultimately died on Saturday less than a week after doctors yanked his life support without their consent.

Bobby Schindler and his family fought a losing uphill battle against the court system that decided Terri was better off dead than living as a disabled patient. He certainly understands what happens when courts and doctors say someone should die.

Alfie Evans ended up dying very early Saturday morning after the children’s hospital that was supposed to provide him with appropriate medical care and treatment disconnected his life support without his parents’ permission.

That action came after a long and extensive legal battle between Alfie’s parents and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, with the British court system agreeing with doctors by saying that Alfie was supposedly too far gone for additional care and treatment or experimental medical treatment to possibly help his neurological condition.

Now, Terri Schiavo’s brother Bobby Schindler is weighing in — saying “Alfie captured the attention of millions worldwide, and Tom and Kate Evans, his heroic parents, have embodied the best in parental love and commitment.”

The head of the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network told LifeNews: “Like Tom and Kate Evans, I know how terrible it is to be powerless to care for a loved one, but I cannot imagine the unique tragedy of being prevented from caring for a child in the way that the United Kingdom and European Courts barred them from exercising what so many recognize as their basic parental rights to provide care.”
“We will honor Alfie’s memory,” concluded Schindler, “and we will do whatever we can to affirm the value of every life, regardless of condition and the right of every parent to care for their children in a life-affirming way.”
Schindler said he is encouraged by nascent discussion of “Alfie’s Law”, or similar legal reform that would restore to parents the right to provide basic and ordinary care and prohibit national authorities from needlessly substituting their own judgment or otherwise intentionally causing death as if it were a legitimate medical treatment.

The parallels of what happened in the Terri Schiavo case and what happened with little Alfie Evans are scary indeed. In both instances a court system decided that a patient is better off dead and that family ought to have no legal right whatsoever to have a say in their life or death — even if those family members are willing to provide care and treatment for their loved one.

That’s why Schindler weighed in previously on the battle to save Alfie’s life. He said at the time that “Alfie appears set to die from lack of food and water. And perversely, UK courts and physicians continue to insist that this will be in Aflie’s best interest, due to his cognitive state.”

After Terri’s death, Bobby and his family started the Terri Schaivo Life and Hope Network to help other disables patients like her.

Cecile Richards Finally Leaves Planned Parenthood After 12 Years and 3.5 Million Abortions

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Cecile Richards officially left her position as the CEO of America’s largest abortion business on Monday.

Richards announced her plans to resign from Planned Parenthood in January, barely a month after the U.S. Department of Justice said it is investigating whether the abortion chain illegally sold aborted baby body parts.

Planned Parenthood has not announced Richards’ replacement at the time of the writing of this article.

“For 12 yrs, Mom has put her heart & soul into running Planned Parenthood,” Richards’ daughter Lily Adams tweeted Monday. “On her last day, it’s impossible to express what this org has meant to her & our family. We can’t wait to continue to support it as a few of the 11 million supporters across the country. #ThankYouCecile”

Planned Parenthood’s various twitter accounts also posted messages thanking their “fearless leader” for her abortion advocacy.

In her last speech as president, Richards spoke Sunday to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Texas, according to AJMC. There, she urged the pro-abortion medical group to support webcam abortions, a dangerous method in which women abort their unborn babies without ever seeing a doctor in person.

Richards has not indicated what she plans to do next. Right now, she is promoting her memoir, “Make Trouble,” but there is speculation that she may try to run for office. Her daughter Lily Adams works for pro-abortion U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris and Richards used to work for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Blogger's note:

Cecile Richards' supporters call her a 'fearless leader'. How much courage does it take to push an aggressive agenda to snuff out the lives of millions of defenseless unborn babies?

There are millions of women who suffer in silence. They swallowed Planned Parenthood's lie that abortion is a simple procedure with no consequences. Silent No More chronicles hundreds of stories of women who regret their abortion. They suffer an array of emotional, mental and physical pain. To help these wounded women Rachel's Vineyard offers weekend retreats in the US and 47 other countries on healing, forgiveness and restoration.

So what is Cecile Richards' legacy since 2006 as president of Planned Parenthood?

May Cecile Richards be set free from the deceit of Satan. May she come to her Creator and Savior for forgiveness, healing and peace.

Strong Pro-Life Victory in El Salvador

“Legalizing the business of abortion is
pure foreign interest not national interest."

By Marie Smith, Parliamentary Network for Critical Issues
National Right to Life

A pro-life victory occurred in El Salvador yesterday, one of the strongest pro-life countries in the world, as anticipated votes on two bills to change the criminal code to allow exceptions to abortion failed to materialize before Congress adjourned.

A new Congress begins May 1 under control of the conservative Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA) which is expected to maintain protection of the unborn from the violence of abortion.

Pro-life advocates lobbied against an international effort to add exceptions to El Salvador’s ban on abortion. According to the New York Times
“What appeared to be momentum a few weeks ago in favor of relaxing the law was defeated by an alliance of social conservatives and religious organizations who succeeded in convincing legislators in the final days that their vote could have a political cost.”
The so-called ‘momentum’ resulted in large part from media outreach and hype created by leading international pro-abortion activist organizations, including the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR), Human Rights Watch, and Ipas which hoped the Salvadoran Congress would follow recent Chile’s lead and change its constitutional protection for unborn children to allow exceptions for abortion. It did not.

Pro-life leader Julia Regina de Cardenal, the president the Yes to Life Foundation who in the past was one of those responsible for the successful effort to amend the constitution to protect children in the womb, voiced strong opposition to international interference. She also called on the Attorney for the Defense of Human Rights, Raquel Caballero, to investigate the financing of organizations in El Salvador that were leading the effort to change the law to determine the level of outside influence.

Pro-life advocates argued that the vast majority of Salvadorans defend life from conception and that “Legalizing the business of abortion is pure foreign interest not national interest #sialavida #noalaborto #abortaresmatar”

The lead sponsor of one of the bills to change the law, Deputy Johnny Wright Sol, had narrowed his bill to allow exceptions for threats to the life and health of the mother and when pregnancy of a minor is the result of rape but he realized that his bill still did not have public support. Wright stated that the challenge would be “trying to generate public opinion,” and that legislators “need to feel the pressure from society.”
