Vast Majority of Countries Limit Abortion After 20 Weeks

I wanted to share with you a new report authored by Charlotte Lozier Institute associate scholar Angelina Baglini and co-released today by the Lozier Institute and Life Canada finds that the United States and Canada are two of only seven in the world to permit elective abortion beyond 20 weeks.  The two nations join China, North Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, and Netherlands in allowing abortion beyond 20 weeks, more than halfway through pregnancy and the point at which research shows the unborn child feels pain.

“Our fresh review of international statutes and case law was undertaken with the knowledge that U.S. policies, set by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton in 1973, are among the world’s most permissive,” said Chuck Donovan, president of the Charlotte Lozier Institute.  “Our goal was to establish what a 20-week-limit would mean in the global context, and the news is that our nation and our northern neighbor, Canada, would still be among the top 4% in permissive law and practice if we adopted such a limit.  Laws restricting abortion on demand after 20 weeks would move the bulk of North America away from the fringe and closer to the international mainstream.”

We are so grateful for all of those who have helped make this night a TRUE Success!!! WE NEED YOU AGAIN THIS YEAR!! We are hoping to get even more people to join us at the March this year and therefore not only need help spreading the word, but also need help during the event .  Can you help Volunteer on March 10th?

There are 5 areas in which volunteers are needed:

1-    Marshalls- people to help guide traffic and parking.

2-    Set up- Arrive at St. Mary's around 3pm on Monday and help with set-up

3-    Registration- Arrive at St. Mary's around 4pm and help register people

4-    Clean-up-  To stay after the rally and help clean-up the post rally in Marian Hall at St. Mary's.

5-    Welcoming- greeters to show people where to go and welcome them to St. Mary's  (ideal for St. Mary's parishioners)

Twin girls, Brielle and Kyrie, were born 12 weeks ahead of their due date. Needing intensive care, they
were placed in separate incubators. Kyrie began to gain weight and her health stabilized. But Brielle, born only 2 lbs, had trouble breathing, heart problems and other complications. She was not expected to live.

Their nurse did everything she could to make Brielle’s health better, but nothing she did was helping her. With nothing else to do, their nurse went against hospital policy and decided to place both babies in the same incubator. She left the twin girls to sleep and when when she returned she found a sight she could not believe. She called all the nurses and doctors and this is what they saw.

As Brielle got closer to her sister, Kyrie put her small little arm around her, as if to hug and support her sister. From that moment on, Brielle’s breathing and heart rate stabilized and her health became normal.

Michigan Abortionist Loses Job after Pro-Life Activist Tips News Station

Detroit, MI – Discredited abortionist Robert Alexander has lost a taxpayer-funded job as director of a state-operated STD clinic in Detroit where he fled last year after his squalid Muskegon abortion mill was shut by the Fire Marshall for posing extreme health hazards.

Alexander apparently resigned under pressure from his STD clinic job after a Woodtv.com reporter contacted his employer and then attempted an impromptu interview with Alexander in the parking lot of the STD clinic, asking him about medical board allegations of incompetence.

The news reporter was tipped off to Alexander’s place of employment by long-time Michigan pro-life activist Lynn Mills.

The news station then broadcast a 5 minute, 23 second exposé on Alexander that included first-hand revelations made by a former employee that served as an informant to Operation Rescue.

Bad Marketing Move: Planned Parenthood Sells Baby Onesies

In a remarkably baffling move, Planned Parenthood is selling baby onesies in its online Marketplace.

The abortion giant writes:

 Care for your little one in this adorable 100% combed ringspun cotton onesie. Featuring our tagline, Care. No matter what, in an adorable heart design, this onesie is designed to handle everyday knock around.

Well, for starters “everyday knock around” doesn’t exactly describe how a caring parent should treat an infant. (Keep in mind these onesies are sold in sizes as small as newborn.) But I suppose the idea of “knocking around” a kid shouldn’t sound that foreign coming from an organization that performs abortions on 92% of pregnant women who come to them.

Especially not when you consider the reality of what abortion really is.

Basically, you could say these onesies are designed for the 8 out of 100 unborn babies who make it out of Planned Parenthood alive. “Care. No matter what,” seems a very appropriate slogan indeed. Though I’d wager it’s interpreted more along the lines of “Care. As long as we don’t abort you first. Which we probably will.”

 Returning home from a recent business trip, I flew over the city purported to have more churches per square mile than any other in America. As I gazed down sleepily at the numberless steeples checkering the landscape and dimly pondered their equivocal significance, I was suddenly startled awake by a strange transformation occurring before my incredulous eyes: The spires of the church buildings had morphed into so many cruciform chimneys belching skyward an almost palpable, smoke-like darkness.

Only the darkness wasn't smoke. What I saw ascending to heaven from each sanctuary was praise—the grotesquely incongruous praise of Christians worshiping a God they fancied demanded no remorse and no repentance for doing precious little to stop the extermination of the most vulnerable of His children.

If you're as old as I am, you will recall: We swore we would never forget the German death camps. We swore we would never let them be rebuilt. We swore we would never let such a monstrously evil thing happen again. Not on our watch. No, not ever.
But, effectively, we did forget the death camps. We let their equivalent be rebuilt in America's 850 abortion clinics. We let the monstrously evil thing happen again, in spades. History has repeated itself by powers of 10. For where the Nazis had their 6 million victims, we have on our hands the blood of 60 million.
