Public Prayer and Witness to End Abortion in Our Society

The following is from one of my social media friends.  I'm hoping that by posting this personal witness, it will inspire and encourage others to also come out and pray.  Our nation and society in general cannot continue to sit back and hope that someone else will do what we are all called to do.  It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to be involved.

Please, during this Lenten Season, plan to go to your local abortuary to give witness and pray.  Pray for those babies scheduled to be killed; pray for the parents who have bought into the lies of Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers; prayer for those who work in these facilities, that God will open their eyes to the horror they are committing; pray for our religious leaders that they will have the moral courage to speak out against this atrocity; and pray for our political leaders to do what is right and pass legislation to end the killing of our precious preborn children.

Today, I went out to my appointed time for 40 Days for Life Prayer and Fasting to End Abortion Campaign.

What can I say? I was so moved to have been there. The MAJORITY of women going into this Clinic were Black. Lord, we are killing ourselves. What The Middle Passage, Slavery, Reconstruction, Ku Klux Klan, Lynchings, Drugs could not do is now being accomplished via Abortion.

This is why I am participating. To stand up for the babies be they Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Mixed Race. People are people. We all are made in the image of God. Seeing that hurt so badly. I met 2 new Friends who also stand for Life! Elizabeth Hicks and Joshua Dent of Virginia Commonwealth University. We prayed together. I do not know about you but there were people there with signs stating "Babies are killed here". This is a well-known Abortion facility in Richmond. This was and is a PRAYER campaign. There is a place and a time for everything. In my humble opinion, Prayer should have been the main focus. Standing in solidarity and joining in Prayer. Sometimes, a peaceful, prayerful witness can touch hearts where a "Babies are killed here" sign can't. But what do I know?
