NANCY PELOSI DOES IT AGAIN

 Matt Smith
President, Catholic Advocate

How is the Obama administration getting away with its unprecedented push to make abortion and same-sex marriage as commonplace as white bread?

By making his token Catholics – Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi – the faces of the pro-abortion and same-sex marriage movements.

I wanted to resend the image of Biden and Pelosi in light of Pelosi's comments on same-sex marriage yesterday.

When asked if she thought same-sex marriage would be legal in all 50 states within five years, Pelosi said, "I've been in this – shall we say – crusade for a long time. And to see the pace with which it has accelerated in the past few years is very encouraging. Let's hope it's even sooner than that..." Talk about an all-out endorsement!

It's not surprising that a Catholic priest recently called on Pelosi to renounce her Catholic faith, saying, "You can't say you're a Catholic and then betray the faith." This same priest went on to criticize Pelosi's comments in support of late-term abortion saying, "With this statement, you make a mockery of the Catholic faith and of the tens of millions of Americans who consider themselves 'practicing and respectful Catholics' and who find the killing of children — whether inside or outside of the womb — reprehensible."

STANDING TOGETHER FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

Catholic, Southern Baptist Religious Liberty Leaders Lead Open Letter Effort For Conscience Protection Given HHS Mandate

July 2, 2013

Archbishop Lori, Russell Moore, others urge expanded conscience protections
Call for protection of religious freedom
Open letter to all Americans entitled 'Standing Together for Religious Freedom'

WASHINGTON—Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty, Russell D. Moore, Ph.D., president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, and a wide variety of over 100 prominent national religious leaders and scholars released an open letter July 2 entitled Standing Together for Religious Freedom. The letter calls on the Administration and Congress to respect conscience rights and religious freedom.

The open letter highlights the threat to conscience posed by the Administration's mandate that almost all employers cover contraception, sterilization and abortifacient drugs and devices in their health insurance plans. As the signatories write, freedom of religion goes beyond mere freedom of worship and extends to believers' roles as citizen and employer.

"The doctrines of our respective faiths require something of us beyond the walls of our churches, synagogues, temples, and other places of worship," the signers said. "Those faith convictions manifest themselves through our daily interactions among family, neighbors, strangers and institutions."

Pa. Candidate for Governor Is Still Not Answering Gosnell Question

Pennsylvania candidate for governor Allyson Schwartz still isn’t commenting about the Kermit Gosnell abortion horrors, and people are starting to wonder.

Schwartz, a Democratic candidate in the primary, ran an abortion center in Philadelphia for 13 years, according to LifeNews.com. The abortion center was just a few miles from Gosnell’s “house of horrors.”

State's Funds Offer 'Real Alternatives' to Abortion

PITTSBURGH -- Twenty-five years have passed since a 17-year-old Noreen Marusic found herself pregnant and at odds with angry parents.

"My parents were not supportive whatsoever of my pregnancy. Probably more ashamed than anything," Marusic told CBN News. "They were trying to force me to have an abortion and I wasn't going to do that."
Her boyfriend didn't want her to have the baby either and threatened to leave her if she wouldn't abort it.
Marusic received no support until she came across Genesis Center in Pittsburgh. The women there gave her a temporary place to live, education so she could support herself, and encouragement that she could be a good mother, even when her own mother said she wouldn't be.

"My mom said that I would end up to be nothing, that I'd end up on the welfare," Marusic recalled.

With financial support, centers like Genesis can help millions of women like Marusic say no to abortion. It's not easy though when pro-choice politicians and abortion providers like Planned Parenthood join forces against that effort.

Some states are so aligned with the abortion industry they're trying to shut down pro-life pregnancy centers. But in Pennsylvania, they're using taxpayer dollars to help fund pro-life alternatives.

For 17 years now, the charity Real Alternatives has been directing $5 million to $6 million a year to almost a hundred pro-life centers across the state. These combined efforts have helped bring Pennsylvania's abortion rate down 7 percent.

Real Alternatives exists to provide life-affirming alternatives to abortion services throughout the nation.  These compassionate support services empower women to protect their reproductive health, avoid crisis pregnancies, choose childbirth rather than abortion, receive adoption education, and improve parenting skills.
Real Alternatives is the non-profit, charitable organization that  administers the Pennsylvania Alternative to Abortion Services Program for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is funded by the General Assembly of Pennsylvania in FY 2011/2012 at  $5.794 million through the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare

The Unborn Can’t Protest

Throughout My Life, I Have Been Appalled That My Country Condones The Murder Of Its Youngest Citizens. Over The Years, I Have Wondered What I, One Person, Could Do To Effect Change In The Abortion Issue. It Seems That The Country Who Proclaims Equality And Rights For All Has Still Not Achieved This Vision For Every Citizen.
Women And African-Americans Scored Their Victories In Time. Homosexuals Are Scoring Their Victory State By State. However, Our Tiniest, Most Vulnerable Americans Are Still Denied Their Equality And Rights Because They Have No Voice. They Are, From Conception, Alive And Unique—unlike Any Other Before Or After Them. They Are Not Their Mother’s Body, But A Separate Being With Their Own DNA. The Life Process If Unchecked Moves Forward For All, Until We Exit From The Womb. Yet, In Their Case, The Life Process Is Denied In The Name Of A Woman’s “right To Choose.” When Did Choosing To Murder A Living Human Being Become A Right?
Outside The Womb, That Same Choice Is Considered Murder And Punishable. Why Is The Location Of The Living Being The Qualifier For Denying That Citizen His/her Rights? Of Course, To Any Person With A Logical Brain, It’s Mind-boggling That We Deny The Right To Life To Unborn Citizens Because They Happen To Reside Inside A Woman’s Body Temporarily. To Those Who Extoll The “right To Choose,” There Is A Denial About Reality That Makes It Acceptable To Discriminate Against The Unborn. Similarly, There Was A Denial Of Reality That Led To The Discrimination Against African-Americans And Women. They Weren’t Equal Human Beings To Those Making The Laws. Those In Control Have The Power To Deny God Given Rights To Any Group Of People They Deem Not Important And Not Equal.

If it’s not baby killing, why the serious consideration?

Celebrate Christ on The Fourth of July! NOT this government of Degenerates

Reblogged from vineoflife.net

Patriotic Americans, those that believe in the founding of the United States and the author of our freedom Jesus Christ, celebrate Christ on The 4th of July!  This is a call to all Americans who can see the premeditated destruction of America by evil men to dedicate your lives and energies to the acknowledgement that Christ was the author of our Liberty and freedom in the United States.  We are now in the phase of the endtimes when the wheat and tares are being separated.

CHOICES...TEXAS TAKES THEM AWAY FROM WOMEN?

Five month or 20 weeks old unborn child.
By Nancy Oliver

Really? According to the voice of Senator Wendy Davis and those who cheer her as the "Hero” of Texas Pro Choice groups, Texas is taking away the choice of women forcing them to have unwanted babies or forcing them to go to black markets to have the procedures to end that life of which they carry.

Texas Senator Wendy Davis also charges that Governor Rick Perry is pushing SB5 for political purposes. Really? Perry, a pro life man of FAITH when he was elected Governor and Texans dang well knew it if they were not living in caves. Yes…the Governor…the "notorious" Governor now fourteen years and counting...of which the people of Texas are so "stupid" they re-elect him time after time. Well the "stupid" people of Texas under Governor Rick Perry sure have bragging rights, still leading the nation in more ways than one and finding the economy of the state very healthy even in these hard economic times the nation is struggling through.

Yes, there are other states doing very well, but still Texas is #1! Yes, other governors laid the ground work of which governor expanded on. But now Governor Rick Perry was part of the legislature…in fact…the BULL DOG even as a Democrat leading the CONSERVATIVE charge in Texas years prior to holding any other elected office. Governor Perry is accredited with as much of Texas’ success as any in our state now or ever. He only changed parties…never beliefs or agenda. And furthermore, we see how fast Barack Obama following President 43 Bush has taken apart what his predecessors left him in nearly five years now. Perry has had nearly triple as many to do the same, but instead he expanded on the ground work and added tremendously to it.

And Ms. Davis…why did you filibuster? Why it is Texans knew you were going to filibuster before you showed up in those pink tennis shoes? What kind of “fame” have you gained? Talk about the kettle calling the pot black.

Choices? There are good choices, there are bad choices, there are choices that have short term effects and there are choices that last a lifetime…and for believer’s of Life after Death…for eternity. I, myself have done as all of us do…made choices that I learned from, choices that lessons seemed to come hard by, choices that had effects on non important things like watering my plants too little or too much, choices that I regret, choices that I am happy and proud I made.

Fear? Yeah…I’ve been there too. Scared for my safety in life threatening situations, scared of the choice I had to make and the lasting effects, scared to be on my own with three mouths to feed besides my own; Scared to death many times in my life at every age. How about you?

But, just what choices do those women and girls seeking the PRO CHOICE route have? In such as the bill of which Ms. (HERO) Wendy Davis filibustered the choices left are not desirable. Just what is in that controversial bill Texas Governor Rick Perry wants passed so badly and that Lt. Governor David Dewhurst vows to pass? Just what is the majority (62%) of Texans wanting the legislature to enact?

Let’s examine some points the bill addresses:

1) The Texas Bill seeks greater care for women who choose abortion. The closing of abortion clinics, Ms Davis suggests that will leave only five of which women can go to seek abortion is farfetched. In essence, clinics will close if they do not meet the new safety requirements. This bill would end the death trap of which the Gosnell case of Philadelphia and one in Houston have brought awareness to true life horror stories. What is wrong with the Texas bill seeking safety standards for the level of care to match ambulatory surgical centers instead of back room, ill staffed butcher shops? The bill basically puts the patient…of which abortion is a surgery…on the same level as those going to the hospitals for ‘day surgical’ procedures. There would be care; staff, sterilization, emergency tools ready to respond in cases of dire straits to the patient…of which does happen. The bill would “require the 18,000 RU-486 abortions performed each year be done according to FDA safety standards.” And “require physicians who perform abortions be qualified to treat life-threatening complications after botched abortions and have privileges at a local hospital.”

Now…what is wrong with that?

2) As I touched on earlier Davis filibustered and the DEMONSTRATORS blocked the passage of a bill that voters all across this nation favor. 48% favor the measures in the Texas bill; ending abortions after 20 weeks...that’s FIVE MONTHS! Five months for a woman or girl and/or her parents to make a decision…to make a choice whether to abort or carry full term. And more importantly, 80% of people in the United States want abortions banned after the second trimester. 50% of WOMEN BACK THE BAN OF ABORTION AFTER 20 WEEKS…So Ms. Davis and the galley setters of which actually kept the bill from passing simply snuffed out the will of the people of Texas and the will of the people across the United States of America, AND THE WILL OF HALF THE WOMEN IN THE NATION! Where’s those choices?

3) THE HORRORS OF A 20+ WEEKS ABORTION:

This is facts…at what interval is the spinal cord, the central nervous system and the brain in a fetus developing and fully developed?  The answer is SIX WEEKS and EIGHT WEEKS…TWO MONTHS FULLY DEVELOPED and the sensory mechanism begins to develop along with bone replacing cartilage. So at two months not five, the fetus has the capacity to feel pain and discomfort. Yet, according to the Texas bill at six to eight weeks abortions could still be performed. Personally, I see that is being very lenient and I being a pro life advocate…not surprising since I blog here.

Now just what does an abortion at 20+ weeks entail? Just to describe it is bone chilling brutality and horror at its best! It entails breaking bones, ripping limbs apart and pulling out piece by piece, draining life sustaining fluids, bashing in the skull or crushing of it destroying the brain which at this point is capable of dreaming…crushing the central nervous system…snuffing out a life…an INNOCENT LIFE…simply MURDER…BRUTAL, HORRIFIC MURDER!

For what is this killing of babies taking place for? CHOICES? I beg of you…give me one good reason why this should even become a CHOICE?

The left especially cried out about the TORTURE of water boarding…where is the outcry about the torture of innocent lives being ripped to pieces and beaten to death? The bleeding hearts cringe at the mutilation of a puppy…is not a human life form worth more than a dog? Ok…I have to question that myself as I love my dogs…but I love my kids the most and that I will have to also admit. There are those who value more a tree’s life more than they value human beings.

PERFECT/IMPERFECT?

By Nancy Oliver

Love is the most powerful essence on earth.
It is what we all seek. It is what changes our attitudes towards those who are different than we. The meaning of essence is “perfect or idealized form of something, especially when embodied in a person.”  Perfection is an aloof thing, for what is perfect to me may not be perfect to you, but does that make it imperfect? Only to those who perceive it as such…to others it is so perfect that there can be no room for improvement. What make that perfection are our own minds and attitudes. We can change our thinking and see the perfection in what we once perceived as imperfect. Love is the attribute that can change everything.

We have evolved to learn to love those who are different than we. Once in our own nation, the idealization of color of skin should be milky white. Women to be perceived as perfect stayed out of the sun and behind drawn curtains. The dark color of skin in the slaves of the predominate blacks was thought to be inferior. We fought a civil war over it, we moved into the Civil Rights Movement and we made laws that forced us to change our attitude towards the color of the skin.
When we changed our attitude as an overwhelming majority we found that we gained great men and women of color. Men and women who brought us more love than we ever could have imagined once upon a time.
Not all of own ancestors in the United States of America were biased on color. Some saw nothing but the person who possessed the different color of skin. Some saw the beauty in ebony, for beauty is through and through the individual no matter how imperfect they may look to us in our perception.

Love is not always kind in the way we believe it should be; it is not always what we perceive as perfect. If never given a chance the great element of love and the lives lessons love can teach us become a great void in the completion of individuals who never seek it…who never seem to find it. The cross over song “The Rose” now comes to my mind.
Some say love, it is a river
that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed…”

Abortion of the unwanted…the imperfect is only what we perceive as just that. For some the mind changes and sees the great LOVE in imperfection. Should we all just get past the “imperfect” attitude we may find the LOVE of which is so powerful that to never have had given it a chance to bloom and to show its full array of beauty, we as individuals; we as the collective body of mankind…would never find the perfection in the imperfection. To find that void is just that…an empty pit of nothingness.
