Good news. Bad news. The BIG NEWS on 40 Days for Life in Waco

from John Pisciotta, Director
Pro-Life Waco

The good news is that no preborn babies have been destroyed in the first three weeks that the new Planned Parenthood facility in Waco. Abortionist Nicola Moore has not flown to Waco from Massachusetts.

The bad news is that a call to PP Waco revealed that abortions are scheduled for December 20, 21 and 22 (Wed, Thurs, Friday). Can you believe this? Abortion will be launched in Waco just days before Christmas 2017. Planned Parenthood’s gifts to Central Texas will be deaths and painful memories.

And now the big news. The events of the last three weeks demand changes in the life-defender game plan for 2018. Pro-Life Waco had planned to return with 40 Days for Life in September of 2018. This is too long a wait to lift our prayers to God and to publicly declare our love for pre-born babies and moms. 40 Days for Life in Waco will happen in the spring of 2018 beginning on February 14. At the new Waco Abortion Compound, PP has the goal of killing at least 1,000 babies in 2018--possibly as many of 2,000. This abomination demands fervent public prayer ASAP. The location for 40 days for Life will be the 700 W HWY 6 (map) at the 250 foot long sidewalk in the public right of way parallel to HWY 6

Waco must be removed from this map. And, along the way babies will be saved and moms supported.

40 Days for Life will again be co-sponsored by Care Net Pregnancy Center and Pro-Life Waco. We will seek vigorous support from pastors and churches of Central Texas. Fortunately, Aine Fitzgerald has volunteered to lead the spring 40 Days for Life campaign. Aine organized one of the most successful prayer vigils in the nation in 2017 as acknowledged by the national 40 Days leadership team.

The international 40 Days for Life spring campaign coincides with Lent. February 14 is Ash Wednesday. Our solidarity with babies, moms, and families demands the strongest 40 Days for Life prayer outreach ever in Waco. Will you be a prayer volunteer with one hour of prayer each week during the 40 days? Will you be an advocate for 40 Days for Life to your friends? We want our Waco Trib ad with pastor/church support to double from the 64 churches we had in the fall of 2017. Again, 40 Days for Life needs your active involvement.

In the fall of 2017, we had 300 prayer volunteers at the sidewalk of Planned Parenthood. Surely our life-defender remnant can grow to 1000 in the spring. The population of McLennan County is 250,000. More than half must be Christian. 1,000 prayer volunteers would be just 0.8% of the Christians in the county. And, there are so many near-by counties for even more defenders of the precious little ones.

We did not choose or welcome the challenge of standing against the shedding of innocent blood in our community. We will, however, accept this awesome responsibility for discipleship.

I ask you to respond to this email with “I am in.” or “We are in.” You are welcome to elaborate on the ways you can help with 40 Days for Life.

European Union Attacks Pro-Life Poland

European Union Warns Poland
Not to Pass Pro-Life Legislation
The move marks an unprecedented intervention into the democratic process of a Member State

Jonathan Abbamonte
Population Research Institute

The European Union (EU) has warned Poland not to pass any legislation banning abortion in cases where unborn children are living with severe congenital disabilities.

On November 15, the European Parliament (EP) adopted a resolution initiating the formal process for rebuking an EU Member State found to be in “serious breach” of their obligations under the Treaty on European Union (TEU).

The EP alleges that Poland may be in violation of core EU principles with respect to human rights and democratic values. While the EP’s resolution primarily addresses the independence of the judiciary, it also condemns Poland for considering pro-life legislation that would protect the unborn children living with disabilities.

The resolution also calls on Poland to repeal a recent law signed by Polish President Andrzej Duda prohibiting the over-the-counter sale of the morning-after pill without a prescription. Previously, girls as young as 15 were able to obtain the morning-after pill over the counter. The EP’s resolution further calls on the Polish Government to provide free contraception to everyone at the taxpayer’s expense.

The EP further criticized the decision of the Polish Government to cut funding for liberal “women’s rights” organizations, such as the pro-abortion organization BABA Lubuskie Center for Women’s Rights. Left-wing observers have noted with alarm that funds that, under previous administrations, would have been given to pro-abortion groups have instead been awarded to Catholic organizations more in line with Polish traditional and family values.

Over 90 percent of Poland is Catholic and an overwhelming majority of Poles are opposed to legalized abortion.

City Government in Waco has Declared War on “Carolyn” the Pro-life Billboard Truck

from John Pisciotta, Director

Pro-Life Waco

On November 16, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas announced the opening of its new 9000 square foot facility on the busy HWY 6 location in Waco. It did not take long for Planned Parenthood to link up with city government to push the PLW billboard truck away from the PP abortuary. For over a decade, Pro-Life Waco has parked the billboard truck adjacent to abortion facilities of two prior locations.

On November 27, I received a call from a Waco police officer demanding that I remove the billboard truck from the city street across from PP or have it towed. He claimed this violated a city ordinance that a commercial vehicle can only be parked at the side of a city street for the time it takes to conduct its commercial business. I told the police officer that our business was saving pre-born babies from the deadly attacks of Planned Parenthood. He did not accept my definition of business.

So, our next move was to park the billboard truck in a nearby medical clinic parking lot. I obtained permission through the intercession of Deborah McGregor, CEO of our local Care Net Pregnancy Center.

Today at 4 p.m. I received a call from a City of Waco Zoning Inspector. He claimed I could not park on this private property (even with permission) since the truck amounted to a billboard.

Carolyn the pro-life billboard truck has been very powerful, I believe life-saving, by being parked near PP’s Waco holocaust sites. I am looking closely at the law and will try to find a way to get Carolyn back into the battle.

PS - The billboard truck is named for Carolyn Knowles, the 91-year-old grandmother of the life-defender movement in Central Texas. The real Carolyn now resides in Galveston with her daughter.

‘Hercules’ Actor Kevin Sorbo is Unashamedly Pro-Life: ‘Never Forget the Babies Slaughtered’ by Abortion'

By Becky Yeh
Live Action News

As one of the boldest pro-life voices in Hollywood, actor Kevin Sorbo is not afraid to speak out against abortion.

Sorbo, known primarily for his role as the title character in “Hercules” and as Captain Dylan Hunt in “Andromeda,” has been a longtime pro-life advocate and speaker. Sorbo, who also starred as the atheist philosophy professor opposite Christian student Josh Wheaton, played by Shane Harper, in the film “God’s Not Dead,” just released his latest film “Let There Be Light.”

After the release of undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood executives discussing harvesting the body parts of aborted children, Sorbo wrote that the tapes “ought to make you sick.”
“Watching that horrible woman sell aborted baby parts like she was working in an auto store,” Sorbo said. In another post, he added: “How is this not disgusting to the vast majority out there that value human life?!!”
In 2014, Sorbo promoted a campaign to raise funds for the film “Gosnell,” which reveals the gruesome chop shop practices inside abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia “House of Horrors.” Sorbo’s campaign was covered by mainstream media outlets and pro-life groups alike.
”Even the pro-choicers would look at this and say, ‘No, this isn’t right,’” Sorbo said. “This is something that my wife and I are behind because we believe in this project. It’s long overdue for this story to be told, and it wasn’t covered by the media nearly as much as some of the other murder cases were.”
Sorbo said Hollywood and the media’s blackout on the Gosnell case has kept these crimes hidden from the public eye, which is why Americans must see the film.
“Kermit Gosnell is America’s most prolific serial killer,” Sorbo said. “For more than three decades he was an abortion doctor in Philadelphia, where he delivered live, viable babies, who cried and fought for their life before he murdered them by severing their spinal cords with a scissors. He called it snipping. It’s the crime of the century, but most of the media and Hollywood have ignored the story.”

Ban on Brutal Dismemberment Abortions Approved by Pennsylvania House Committee

Dismemberment Ban Previously Passed in the State Senate

National Right to Life

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Preborn babies would no longer have to undergo the gruesome practice of dismemberment abortion, under a bill approved by the Pennsylvania House Health Committee Monday.

The measure would also change the abortion limit in Pennsylvania from six months to five months gestation to reflect the changes in medical technology that allow doctors to save premature babies at increasingly earlier stages of development. The U.S. is one of only seven countries—including North Korea and Vietnam– that allow abortions after 20 weeks gestation.
“Dismemberment abortions occur when babies are ripped limb by limb from their mothers’ wombs,” said Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, an affiliate of National Right to Life.
“Innocent children should not be subjected to this inhumane practice, and mothers should not be left to grieve children lost to this outrageous procedure,” Gallagher added.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy once called a dismemberment abortion, “a procedure itself laden with the power to devalue human life .”

Senate Bill 3 previously passed the Pennsylvania Senate and is now awaiting action by the full House. The bill contains an exception to save the life of the mother.
“A statewide poll showed that the vast majority of Pennsylvanians support a ban on brutal dismemberment abortions. In fact, the support was even higher among women,” said Gallagher. “A ban on this alarming practice is long overdue.”

Woman Who Punched 15-Year-Old Pro-Life Girl and Gave Her Concussion Hasn’t Been Arrested

By Kristan Hawkins
Life News

Over the past year, Students for Life leaders like you have faced everything from verbal assaults, discrimination from campus administrators, and even vandalism of your displays. But what happened this weekend to one of our high school Thaddeus Steven Fellows shows just how much our work is needed.

A Planned Parenthood client was caught on video screaming, cursing, and punching Purity Thomas, a 15-year-old Students for Life leader in the face!

You can watch the harrowing video (but please be warned that this does contain graphic violence).

This past Saturday, Purity and three members of Liberty University’s Students for Life group were peacefully sidewalk counseling and praying outside of the Roanoke, Virginia Planned Parenthood.

These dedicated #prolifegen members gather outside of the Planned Parenthood every Saturday – the day when they commit abortions – to pray for women who enter the building and offer resources and support for other options besides abortion.

At approximately 8:30 AM, a woman confronted our Students for Life leaders and began threatening them, saying she would beat them up and “f*ck them up.”

The woman first stole a sign that said, “All people are made in the image of God” from one of the leaders. She started walking away, but then returned, and tried to steal another sign, before punching our 15 year-old Purity in the face, causing her to stumble and fall to the ground.

Thankfully, the other Students for Life leaders acted quickly and called the police. Police reports have been filed. The assailant has yet to be arrested.
