Good news. Bad news. The BIG NEWS on 40 Days for Life in Waco

from John Pisciotta, Director
Pro-Life Waco

The good news is that no preborn babies have been destroyed in the first three weeks that the new Planned Parenthood facility in Waco. Abortionist Nicola Moore has not flown to Waco from Massachusetts.

The bad news is that a call to PP Waco revealed that abortions are scheduled for December 20, 21 and 22 (Wed, Thurs, Friday). Can you believe this? Abortion will be launched in Waco just days before Christmas 2017. Planned Parenthood’s gifts to Central Texas will be deaths and painful memories.

And now the big news. The events of the last three weeks demand changes in the life-defender game plan for 2018. Pro-Life Waco had planned to return with 40 Days for Life in September of 2018. This is too long a wait to lift our prayers to God and to publicly declare our love for pre-born babies and moms. 40 Days for Life in Waco will happen in the spring of 2018 beginning on February 14. At the new Waco Abortion Compound, PP has the goal of killing at least 1,000 babies in 2018--possibly as many of 2,000. This abomination demands fervent public prayer ASAP. The location for 40 days for Life will be the 700 W HWY 6 (map) at the 250 foot long sidewalk in the public right of way parallel to HWY 6

Waco must be removed from this map. And, along the way babies will be saved and moms supported.

40 Days for Life will again be co-sponsored by Care Net Pregnancy Center and Pro-Life Waco. We will seek vigorous support from pastors and churches of Central Texas. Fortunately, Aine Fitzgerald has volunteered to lead the spring 40 Days for Life campaign. Aine organized one of the most successful prayer vigils in the nation in 2017 as acknowledged by the national 40 Days leadership team.

The international 40 Days for Life spring campaign coincides with Lent. February 14 is Ash Wednesday. Our solidarity with babies, moms, and families demands the strongest 40 Days for Life prayer outreach ever in Waco. Will you be a prayer volunteer with one hour of prayer each week during the 40 days? Will you be an advocate for 40 Days for Life to your friends? We want our Waco Trib ad with pastor/church support to double from the 64 churches we had in the fall of 2017. Again, 40 Days for Life needs your active involvement.

In the fall of 2017, we had 300 prayer volunteers at the sidewalk of Planned Parenthood. Surely our life-defender remnant can grow to 1000 in the spring. The population of McLennan County is 250,000. More than half must be Christian. 1,000 prayer volunteers would be just 0.8% of the Christians in the county. And, there are so many near-by counties for even more defenders of the precious little ones.

We did not choose or welcome the challenge of standing against the shedding of innocent blood in our community. We will, however, accept this awesome responsibility for discipleship.

I ask you to respond to this email with “I am in.” or “We are in.” You are welcome to elaborate on the ways you can help with 40 Days for Life.
