Black Leadership Needs to Acknowledge that Margaret Sanger, Founder of PP, was a White Supremacist

By Rev. Clenard H. Childress, Jr

Nationwide — Aqunda Okeyo, who while serving as the Communications Chair for the March for Racial Justice, made an incendiary and thought-provoking observation when she boldly proclaimed, “If we want to end White Supremacy, White America needs to step it up.”

I partially agree based on the premise that one believes that White Supremacy is the chief culprit then certainly unbiased White Americans would then become the primary agents designated to initiate change. This equation is also true when it comes to our police departments’ crisis with police brutality. There is not a department in the country where existing – and some retired officers – are not unaware of the officers who should not be wearing the uniform. Police know where the cancer is on the force, yet too often, due to their dedication to their fraternal order, they protect malignant officers, remaining silent regarding their abuses. Thus, the issue of police brutality continues at the detriment of good officers and is a grave injustice to the citizens they are called to serve and protect.

3 Things Pro-Life Christians Can Do Even if Roe v. Wade Is Never Overturned

Emily Hall, Editor, Salem Web Network
ChristianHeadlines.com

It’s great that another conservative-leaning person was nominated for the Supreme Court, but what if Roe v. Wade is never overturned? If abortion remains legal in the U.S., could Christians still engage the pro-life effort beyond protesting Roe v. Wade?

Ever since the Supreme Court ruling in 1973 that legalized abortion as a Constitutional right, American Christians have fervently appealed to both heaven and the government to overturn this decision. However, 45 years (and over 60 million terminated pregnancies) later, Roe v. Wade still stands.

These growing numbers can zap the hope out of any pro-lifer, but recent events have sparked inklings of hope among Christians that the likelihood of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade perhaps might be somewhat possible, maybe.

Court Order Permanently Protects Christian School From Obamacare Abortion Mandate

By Max Augros
CNS News

On July 5, the U.S. Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania ordered that the federal government is permanently prohibited from forcing Geneva College, a Christian school in Pennsylvania, to pay for abortive services included in the Obamacare mandate.

The federal court also found that former President Obama’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) “constitutes a violation of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 (‘RFRA’).”

The court’s permanent injunction and declaratory relief order states that:

“IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that defendants, their respective successors in office, their agents, officers, employees and all others in active concert or participation with them are hereby PERMANENTLY ENJOINED AND RESTRAINED from 1) applying or enforcing the requirements of [coverage of preventative health services] and implementing regulations and accommodation process, and 2) pursuing any enforcement actions against, or imposing any penalties upon Geneva College.”
Since the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the ACA, or Obamacare, as a valid tax in 2012, the Obama-era mandate has had the effect of forcing employers to provide their employees with healthcare plans that include an array of contraceptive and abortive drugs.

Many other pro-life Christian schools and organizations throughout the country have filed lawsuits against the ACA since it infringes on their religious beliefs with the threat of financial penalties, if they refuse to comply.

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a conservative Christian organization dedicated to protecting religious freedom in court, represented Geneva College in the suit.

ADF Senior Counsel Gregory S. Baylor said in a press release that “religious organizations have the freedom to operate peacefully according to their beliefs without the threat of punishment by the government. Today’s order fully affirms that freedom and provides permanent protection from the mandate.”

Franklin Graham Calls for Prayer for VP Pence After Latest Statements on Unborn Babies

By Peter Mitchell
Faith Family America

America is once again on track to stand up for the lives of unborn children. Many Christians admitted that they came to the polls in 2016 to specifically vote for Trump based on his pro-life views.

Now, with an open seat on the Supreme Court in the works, many people are excited about the possibility of overturning abortion laws in America. This past week, President Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be the next SCOTUS justice. He is an extremely pro-life choice and would be a deciding vote for the change.

Franklin Graham is now asking his supporters, and Christians everywhere, to pray for the cause. Specifically, Graham is asking us to pray for Vice President Mike Pence as he defends standing up against abortion.

"Will you join me in praying for God’s protection, wisdom, and blessing for @VP @Mike_Pence, @SecondLady Karen, and their family? I know it is an encouragement for them to know we are standing with them," wrote Graham on Twitter.
Will you join me in praying for God’s protection, wisdom, and blessing for @VP @Mike_Pence, @SecondLady Karen, and their family? I know it is an encouragement for them to know we are standing with them.

Pence recently spoke out about his proud stance against abortion.

"'I’m pro-life—I don’t apologize for it.' That’s what @VP told @DanaBashCNN. I’m grateful he stands for life & for biblical principles—& I’m thankful for the great job he’s doing for our country. He doesn’t back down & he doesn’t hedge," wrote Franklin.

"I, too, hope Roe v. Wade can be overturned for the sake of millions of children's lives and for the future of our nation," said Graham.

No Matter the Question, Contraception’s the Answer?

By Rebecca Oas, Ph.D.
Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam)

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 13 (C-Fam) Family planning advocates are working hard to position contraceptives as the key to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As an event on Tuesday demonstrated, however, their arguments collapse under closer scrutiny.

The Wilson Center event was the third in a series focusing on the benefits of family planning for peace and security, societal resilience, and global development. Similar to previous events, the panelists stressed the importance of access to family planning and estimated the cost savings of reductions in fertility, but glossed over how to push more contraceptives in a world approaching market saturation.

Without Roe, What Happens in Pennsylvania?

from Pennsylvania Family Council

Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Roe v Wade

President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court has put U.S. Senator Bob Casey in the spotlight. Even before he knew who the President’s choice was, Casey tweeted that he “will oppose the nomination the president will make….”

Looking ahead, there will likely be a Senate Judiciary Hearing in late August followed by a confirmation vote in mid-September.

Many on the left say they oppose Kavanaugh out of fear that he will vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, the infamous 1973 court decision imposing abortion on demand on the nation. No one actually knows for sure if that would happen (we hope and pray so), but what if it did? Would abortion suddenly become illegal in Pennsylvania?

We’ve produced a short video that helps to explain - view below or on YouTube using this link.  To watch and share from our Facebook page, click here.

18 Year-Old Dies After Botched Legal Abortion, Found Face Down Foaming at the Mouth

By Cheryl Sullenger
Life News

Even though Diamond Renee Williams died in 2016, it is still extremely emotional for her mother, Shakira, to talk about it.

It was January 23 of that year, one day after supporters of abortion around the nation celebrated 43 years of Roe v. Wade and so-called “safe and legal” abortion on demand.

But it’s doubtful that eighteen-year old Diamond Williams had the politics of abortion on her mind as she and her mom reported to the Carolina Center for Women, an abortion facility on Wendover Road in Charlotte, North Carolina, for a scheduled six-week surgical abortion.

Diamond, an African-American, was a high-risk patient, but that did not seem to matter to the outpatient abortion facility staff. At five feet, six inches in height, she weighted approximately 300 pounds and suffered from diabetes mellitus, a condition that affects the metabolism of sugars and carbohydrates in food. Her risk of complications was high enough that a hospital setting would have been a much safer environment for any surgery.

Because of her medical issues, the clinic’s staff should have turned her away. Accepting her as a patient proved to be a fatal mistake.

Diamond was one of the first to arrive that morning for the abortion. Her mother sat patiently in the waiting room at first, but after several hours, she began to worry. When the staff started to turn off the lights in the office at the end of the day, Shakira had to bang on the glass in the reception area to get someone’s attention. She needed to know what was happening with her daughter.

Eventually, Diamond was escorted out a side door and discharged to her mother.

Shakira understood that Diamond would experience some initial pain, but after a restless night, Diamond called the clinic’s after-hours operator for help. The operator told her that pain was normal, but to watch for excessive bleeding and fever. Since she had neither symptom, Diamond thought everything would be okay.

By Monday, Diamond was still in a lot of pain and Shakira suggested that she call the clinic again to see about returning for a follow-up visit. Diamond was told that a nurse from the clinic would be following up with her later in the day, but she never received a call-back.

Tuesday evening, Diamond began to feel a little bit better. As a precaution, Shakira planned to take Diamond to see their primary care physician the next morning.

But less than five minutes after Diamond went to her room to prepare for bed, Shakira heard another of her daughters scream.
“I ran to find Diamond lying face down unable to speak and foaming at the mouth,” Shakira told Operation Rescue. “We called 911 and the operator said from what I was explaining, my daughter may have just suffered a seizure.”
As Shakira heard the sirens approaching in the distance, painful memories of another tragic night flooded her mind. Diamond had been born with a twin brother who died at just three-months old. The sound of sirens had filled that tragic night as well. This time, they triggered a kind of post-traumatic stress in Shakira — and now her worst fears were coming true. Tragedy was again striking down one of her children.

A fire unit arrived and found an hysterical family, but apparently they perceived that as aggression and summoned a police unit. The other children and the family dog were shut into a bedroom, presumably for the responder’s safety.

It is unclear what steps the emergency responders actually took to save Diamond, but for Shakira, it seemed like they weren’t doing much, and she wondered why they weren’t working harder to help her daughter.

A note in Diamond’s autopsy report indicated that Diamond had no pulse when paramedics arrived, but Shakira insists that Diamond had revived after her apparent seizure.

An Open Letter To Michelle Wolf

by Jael Ridley
Human Defense Initiative

Dear Michelle Wolf,

I opened Twitter this week, expecting to see the usual doom and gloom and behold, you topped all of it. There was no escaping the trending #SaluteToAbortion, despite all of the other more important headlines. And as much as I tried to suppress my curiosity, I eventually caved and watched your 5 minute segment on why women should get an abortion. Needless to say, I have a few words for you.

You are not pro-choice. You are pro-abortion. If you were truly pro-choice, you would not be endorsing abortion. You would not be literally encouraging women to endure this harmful procedure.

Contrary to many pro-choice individuals, you obviously do not believe abortion is in any way an unfortunate or last-resort situation. In fact, you think it should be saluted, championed, and celebrated. You do not even try hiding your adoration for abortion. It is a sacrament to you. It is empowering.

From a pro-life standpoint, this is, of course, disgusting. However, imagine the feelings of those who have been hurt by abortion listening to you trivialize their most traumatic, painful experience and compare it to a McDonald’s dollar menu item. I assume you did not think of them, only the laughs you would garner from those as insensitive as you.

I know you are busy belittling women and creating harmful “comedy,” but, if only for a minute, I ask you to step out of your bubble and genuinely reflect on what you are saying.

Regardless of whether we are pro-choice or pro-life, we must be aware abortion is not a fun little event every woman should experience. It is not something women should have on their bucket lists in order to embrace their power to “control life” as you say. It is disgraceful and disrespectful of you to treat it as such. By the way, we as women cannot and do not control life. We cannot bestow upon ourselves the false authority to dictate whether a life continues or ends.

Before, the pro-choice crowd made a point of stating they were not pro-abortion. They recognized abortion is unwanted. They said, “safe, legal, rare,” knowing it is not something which should be celebrated and had haphazardly. They recognized the effects it can have on women, mentally, emotionally, and physically. They understood “back alleys,” “coat hangers,” and “stairs” were a very painful reality for some women and not some flippant punchline.

You are proof the shift from “safe, legal, rare” to “abortion on demand” and “shout your abortion” is rooted in an immoral, inhumane, destructive love for abortion. Tell me again which side is anti-woman?

You use your platform to spew the rally cry of the pro-abort movement, gathering together others who have the same seared conscience as you. Creating this false narrative unless you get an abortion, you are not woman enough. Unless you are the 1 in 4, you are essentially doing womanhood wrong.

One final note: I say shame on you wrapping your pro-abortion agenda in the very flag that has been the lifeline for millions. How dare you shout “God bless abortion! And God bless America!” in the same breath. America has always been the lighthouse for those in search of a better life, and your continual attempts at marring that light with the pro-abortion agenda is nothing but anti-human. Perpetuating the idea of discarding those not wanted makes us no different than any other country and nothing short of barbaric. What hope do we offer then?

Michelle, you will most likely never see this. Regardless, I still felt it necessary to call out your hypocrisy. You are not pro-woman, and you are not pro-choice. You are only pro-Michelle and pro-abortion.

Sincerely,
Righteous Indignation
