NARAL’s Attempt to ‘Celebrate’ Dads Who Support Abortion Backfires

By Nancy Flanders
Live Action News

One of the most vocal supporters of restriction-free abortion laws received backlash this week when it turned to Twitter to “celebrate” Father’s Day. NARAL Pro-Choice America, formerly known as the National Abortion Rights Action League, works daily to fight any and all abortion laws and believe that women need abortion in order to be successful, spreading the idea that without a ‘right’ to kill their preborn children, women are not on equal societal footing with men. When this group attempted to use Father’s Day to further its agenda, Twitter users expressed their disapproval.

NARAL tweeted “Happy Father’s Day to all the Pro-Choice Dads!”:
Hey dads, Happy #FathersDay! Caring about women’s #reprofreedom & bodily autonomy makes you better at raising future generations of feminists. So if you’re a pro-choice dad & one of the many #MenForChoice, we’re celebrating you today!

Hey dads, Happy ! Caring about women’s & bodily autonomy makes you better at raising future generations of feminists. So if you’re a pro-choice dad & one of the many , we’re celebrating you today!

Not only is NARAL refusing to say Happy Father’s Day to any man who isn’t pro-abortion, but is actually specifically celebrating men who support the killing of their own children and would teach any children they do allow to be born to do the same someday. Ironic.

Abortion wasn’t legalized by women, after all. It was legalized by men and pushed on women by men because abortion allows men to use women for sex and walk away without having to take any responsibility for women or any children they conceived. Abortion also allows sexual predators to destroy the DNA evidence of their crimes. Men who support abortion aren’t all about lifting up women to equal standing with men. Many of them are in it for the power it allows them to hold over women. Countless women have reported choosing abortion because the fathers of their children threatened to leave them or even kill them if they didn’t abort. It actually seems fitting that NARAL would thank them. Those men have made the abortion industry a lot of money.

Pro-lifers fought back against NARAL’s tweet in large numbers. Two from more notable pro-lifers are below:

On this ,National Abortion Rights Action League-NARAL is asking men why they are proud to support abortion/the killing of their unborn babies. Hey ,abortion has led to millions of lost fatherhood. Real men should never support the killing of their children

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s number one abortion profiteer currently under fire for aiding sexual predators instead of helping minor victims who came to its centers, did some tweeting of its own on Father’s Day, equally as sadly ironic and offensive. Women don’t need abortion. Abortion is not liberating. Abortion does not make women equal to men. It doesn’t free women from any injustice of any kind. It is, however, an injustice against preborn human beings. Planned Parenthood’s stance in support of taxpayer funding of abortion means the organization want fathers who actually support their children to pay for other fathers to kill theirs.

Planned Parenthood Sues Trump Admin for Wanting Sex Ed Programs to Focus on Abstinence

By Micaiah Bilger
Life News

Planned Parenthood wants taxpayers’ money, and it’s doing everything it can to keep it.

On Friday, it filed another lawsuit against the Trump administration, this time challenging a Department of Health and Human Services decision to prioritize sexual risk avoidance programs instead of the abortion giant’s risky sex education programs, Courthouse News reports.

The Trump administration cut millions of dollars in Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program grants to the abortion chain in 2017 after evidence showed the program was not effective. However, the abortion chain is suing to stop those cuts as well in a separate lawsuit.

The new Planned Parenthood lawsuit claims HHS is wrong to prioritize abstinence-based sex education programs over its own.

Here’s more from the AP:

The lawsuits were filed in federal courts in New York City and Spokane, Washington, by four different Planned Parenthood affiliates covering New York City and the states of Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska and Washington.
Planned Parenthood says the lawsuits are intended to protect the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program from what they termed ineffective abstinence-only-until-marriage curriculums.

“Young people have the right to the information and skills they need to protect their health,” Dawn Laguens said in a press release, vice president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. “The Trump-Pence administration is trying to impose their abstinence-only agenda on young people across the country.”
Health and Human Services Department spokesman Mark Vafiades previously told the New York Times there is very little evidence that the TPP programs are working.

Vafiades said the evidence of a positive impact is “very weak,” and the Trump administration wants to support science-based programs that provide “youth with the information and skills they need to avoid the many risks associated with teen sex.”

In 2017, the Office of Adolescent Health issued two reports evaluating the program. Of the 38 programs examined in the report, only one “reported a long-term reduction in overall rates of teen sexual activity. Nearly all of the evaluations found no long-term difference in sexual activity, use of contraception, or pregnancy rates between students enrolling in these programs and students in control groups,” Dr. Michael New, a professor at Ave Maria University, wrote in 2017.

Post-Abortion Woman: "I Want My Baby"

By Sarah Terzo
National Right to Life

Jasmine (From New Zealand) expresses her pain after her abortion:

“I’m 19, and just had an abortion 2 weeks ago.

I hate it, I can never stop thinking about it, or what it would be like if I had of kept it.

Yah know, that could’ve been my little girl running around cuddling me, calling mum, looking at me with my eyes.

At the time, I was living overseas, away from my family and friends.

I was late with my period, so I got a home pregnancy test. Well, it was positive.

I was so scared, I didn’t know what to do. I put it to the back of my head, didn’t want to think it was.

I didn’t have a boyfriend.

Finally, I told my mother. About a month later, I came home. By this time, I was almost 3 months.

I had already decided there was no way I was keeping it. So 5 days after I got home, I got it done.

It was so quick, I didn’t think, I know I didn’t. I was being selfish, only thinking of me, not of another life inside of me.

I killed it. I hate it. I want it back soo bad. I want my baby.

Yah know, what I hate the most after the operation? No scars, not even a sore stomach. I was fine, even though I just committed murder!

I love my baby and miss it. Why did I do it?

My precious baby, your mummy loves you!”

ACTION ALERT! Last Chance to Contact Your Pennsylvania Legislators on the Down Syndrome Protection Act

from David G. Walsh

Next week PA Legislators will be in Harrisburg every day, Monday through Friday.

This will be your last chance to tell KEY VOTE PA Senate Legislators how you feel about the importance of saving Down Syndrome unborn babies from abortion.

Below find a beautiful piece of writing by Napro physician and our Pro Life friend, Dr. Monique Ruberu.

Read Dr. Ruberu's short but very much to the point letter, and then "extract the part you personally feel connected with" and write one short email to the list of 18 Senators right now, followed by a call to their Harrisburg office (Directory link below) with message to PLEASE VOTE YES TO HOUSE BILL 2050.

From Dr. Monique Ruberu:
Our world is filled with sadness, grief, stress, - have you ever met a Down syndrome affected person who doesn’t bring a smile to your face? All they want to do is smile at others, hug, high five and bring joy to the world. They are little lights in this world. I have never met a family that doesn’t treasure their Down syndrome kids... even in the extended family these children are beloved. Why not protect a group of people who bring so much love and joy. People who contribute to society in such a meaningful way.
As a physician I hear the devastation in my patients voices when they speak of the choice they made to abort their Down syndrome child... they suffer with anxiety, depression and grief. They chose that path because when they were given the diagnosis it was wrapped up in fear and was presented with the option of relieving the “problem” with abortion. Things presented by a physician carry more influence in difficult moments. Yet they were never given information about support groups for downs families. They were never advised to speak with parents of downs children to see how their life had been impacted... instead they were rushed from their 18 week appointment for ultrasound to a 20 week abortion appointment to terminate before it was illegal...

When I meet people considering abortion for genetic anomalies I remind them that none of us are perfect. We may appear perfect on the outside but inside we have anxiety, depression, cancer, a multitude of autoimmune diseases, learning disabilities, heart and lung disease, diabetes, ... the list goes on... these children wear their disorder on their sleeves while we hide ours beneath our perfect appearances... but they are actually much more perfect in so many ways especially in the areas of love and kindness... I advise that they don’t end the life of this blessing because of a difference in appearance... we are all different.

Dr Monique Ruberu

Conservative Columnist Charles Krauthammer Passes Away, Had Called for Overturning Roe v. Wade

By Steven Ertelt
Life News

Respected conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer passed away today at the age of 68 after a long battle with cancer. Though he was not pro-life, an article of his in newspapers across the nation previously called on the Supreme Court to reverse its landmark Roe v. Wade ruling allowing abortion on demand.

Krauthammer doesn’t want the decision reversed because he thinks abortion is a travesty or sympathizes with the plight of unborn children who see their life snuffed out.

Instead, he thinks the high court took away the right of people to voice their views on abortion on a state by state basis through their legislatures.

“Legalizing abortion by judicial fiat instead of by democratic means has its price,” Krauthammer writes. “One is that the issue remains socially unsettled. People take to the streets when they have been deprived of resort to legislative action.”
“The other effect is to render the very debate hopelessly muddled,” he says.
“Instead of discussing what a decent society owes women and what it owes soon-to-be-born infants, and trying to balance the two by politically hammering out regulations that a broad national consensus can support, we debate the constitutional niceties of a 35-year-old appallingly crafted Supreme Court decision,” Krauthammer said at the time.
The columnist said he “hope[s] for the day when Roe is overturned,” but not because he supports the aims and goals of the pro-life movement.

In fact Krauthammer admitted that he once voted in Maryland to pass a referendum to keep abortion legal if Roe is ever reversed.

Instead, he favors allowing the people of the United States to determine the outcome of abortion for themselves — ironically something the pro-life movement has called for since 1973, when the court handed down the ruling.

“Abortion is already so contaminated with legalisms, why not turn the issue into one of simple democracy? Let the people decide,” Krauthammer concluded.
“Let them work it out the way everything else in this country is worked out — by political argument and legislative accommodation.”

Another Victory! Second Waste Disposal Company Quits Carhart's Late-Term Abortion Business

by Cheryl Sullenger
Operation Rescue

Bethesda, Maryland - Operation Rescue has received a letter from Biomedical Recovery Systems owner John Kappler that shows he has terminated his business dealings with late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart and his AbortionClinics.org (ACO), an abortion facility in Bethesda, Maryland, that conducts abortions throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

This is the second medical waste disposal company to terminate business dealings with Carhart and ACO in the past two weeks as the result of phone calls and e-mails made by Operation Rescue supporters asking that the businesses halt their dealings with the notorious late-term abortion facility.

On June 5, 2018, Biomedical Waste Services stopped picking up the remains of babies aborted at ACO - some over 30 weeks gestation. ACO then contracted with Biomedical Recovery Systems, which made only one pick up at the abortion facility before quitting.

The letter from Kappler to Chelsea Souder, administrator for ACO, dated June 23, 2018, states, "This letter serves as notice that effective immediately I am terminating our service with your organization."

"We very much appreciate Mr. Kappler's decision to do the right thing," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "We understand that he spoke to several of our supporters who were able to explain what actually takes place at Carhart's abortion business in terms of the deaths of late term babies as well as the documented deaths and serious injuries to their mothers. These conversations helped Mr. Kappler make his decision to end his dealings with ACO."

An excerpt of a conversation between Kappler and Operation Rescue's Cheryl Sullenger, in which comments were made by Kappler in an unguarded moment, will be taken offline and the original article will be edited to remove those comments.

"We understand that in the heat of the moment, people can say things that they really don't mean. We are not here to punish people who do the right thing," said Newman.

Operation Rescue wishes to thank everyone who called or e-mailed on this successful campaign.

"Once again, this victory belongs to you," said Newman. "We are very grateful."

Operation Rescue has learned that ACO in Bethesda will be closed for the next two weeks. It is unknown if this temporary closure is related to the loss of their second medical waste disposal company this month.

Excellent Pro-Life Program Transforms Men Into Godly Fathers

By Jen Taggart
Life News

“Mike” answered to no one.

His job situation was in a constant state of flux. Every time he got into conflict with a supervisor or coworker, he would quit his job or make a brash statement that would get him fired.

“It’s not because he’s not smart, it’s not because he didn’t have abilities, it’s because he had really no sense of authority, no respect for authority, no willingness to serve under the authority of someone else,” said Jonathan Bright, founder of Faith for Fathers and leader of Dad-to-Dad, a program at Carolina Pregnancy Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
“It’s probably because he never had it in his life—no one’s ever really taught him,” Bright said. “He never really understood why you have to function under someone else’s authority. We all do.”
But that all changed when Mike’s girlfriend (now wife), “Melissa,” a client at the Carolina Pregnancy Center, heard about the center’s Dad-to-Dad program and recommended it to Mike. They had one young child at the time.

The Dad-to-Dad program was formed in 2016 as a partnership between Faith for Fathers and the Carolina Pregnancy Center. Bright created Faith for Fathers in Spartanburg in 2013 to help dads build a godly legacy through events catered to them and their children, and monthly luncheons connected to family devotions.

“Our heartbeat is fathers and really trying to get them to recognize the significance of their role and how important their role is and how there’s really no replacement,” Bright said. “Society tries to fill in the gap with coaches and youth pastors and moms and those are great things, but ultimately there’s no replacement for the man being in the home leading his family spiritually and emotionally.”
Bright is close friends with Alexia Newman, executive director of the Carolina Pregnancy Center. In 2016, Newman came to Bright, asking for help in reaching the boyfriends and husbands of pregnancy center clients.
“We just saw a natural coalition, a natural way to work together—he was working with men already,” Newman said. “He had men that could be mentors to our guys.”
Bright saw the relationship as a perfect fit, too.
“The guys that we deal with at the pregnancy center typically aren’t going to be the kind of guy that’s going to go bring his daughter or son to an event or show up at a luncheon just for dads to learn how to be a better dad,” Bright said. “We saw it as a way to expand our outreach.”
When a man comes to the pregnancy center with his wife or girlfriend, the volunteers gather the man’s contact information so that Bright can connect with him. The Dad-to-Dad program offers one-on-one mentoring, a Wednesday night group meeting, a monthly dinner and Daddy Dollars to use in the center’s Earn-While-You-Learn store.

Summertime is a Great Time for Pro-Life 101

By Maria Gallagher, Legislative/PAC Director
Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

I remember how much I enjoyed summertime reading when I was a child. I would set my lounge chair underneath the tree in our backyard and spend hours reading about my favorite characters. I faithfully joined the summer reading club at my local library and logged each book I read. I just heard recently where, if a child reads 20 books during the summer, the boy or girl will be able to maintain the reading level established during the school year.

As a result of that research, and my own experiences as a child, I believe that summer is a super time for teaching children what I like to call Pro-Life 101. These are the basic concepts that form the foundation for the pro-life movement. Truisms such as respect for all human life...the importance of reaching out to people in challenging circumstances...and the fundamentals of fetal development.

A number of the local chapters of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation and National Right to Life will be at fairs and festivals this summer, providing terrific educational materials to people of all ages. Take advantage of these opportunities to shore up your own pro-life knowledge. One intriguing aspect of the pro-life movement is that there is always new information to soak in.

I have been at fairs where soft-touch fetal models have been displayed. The look of wonder on the faces of children as they see these representations of a preborn baby's development is truly captivating. I'll never forget how my own daughter was fascinated by the models--so intrigued, in fact, that she asked if she could see them a second time.

Through our educational efforts, we plant the pro-life seed with the next generation. Those tiny saplings can blossom into a lifetime commitment to the pro-life movement--something that truly does make America great again.

Physician-Assisted Suicide Advocates say they Will Redouble Albany Efforts in 2019

by Kenneth Lovett
New York Daily News

ALBANY — With three scheduled days left in the legislative session, advocates have given up hope that physician-assisted suicide will be legalized this year in New York.

In a letter to lawmakers, two groups — Compassion & Choices and the Death With Dignity National Center — vowed to redouble their efforts to pass the Medical Aid in Dying Act in 2019 — a nonelection year for state lawmakers.

“Regardless of the outcome of this year’s elections, there will be no running out the clock on terminally ill New Yorkers again,” the letter says. “Your constituents won’t allow it. We won’t allow it. Decency won’t permit it.”

A Quinnipiac University poll in May found New Yorkers support by 63% to 29% allowing doctors to legally prescribe lethal drugs to help terminally ill patients end their own lives.

Indiana Pro-Lifers Demand Abortionists be Investigated for Not Reporting Minors’ Abortions

By Calvin Freiburger
Life Site News

Indiana Right to Life (IRTL) held news conferences across the state Wednesday calling for an investigation into whether Indiana abortionists are reporting abortions on girls younger than 16 as required by law.

“Forty-eight consumer complaints have been filed against nine Indiana abortion doctors who have allegedly failed to follow the legal reporting requirements to protect young children from sex abuse,” the group said in a press release.
It named several abortionists covering every licensed abortion facility in the state.
"The doctors are: Jeffrey Glazer, Caitlin Bernard, Cassandra Cashman, Carol Dellinger, Mandy Gittler, Kathleen Glover, Martin Haskell, Resad Pasic and Sarah Turner. They are employed at all licensed Indiana abortion facilities: Women’s Med Center in Indianapolis, Clinic for Women in Indianapolis, and Planned Parenthood in Indianapolis, Lafayette, Bloomington and Merrillville," the group stated.
"We call on the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, the Indiana State Department of Health and local prosecutors to take appropriate action against these abortion doctors, including review of their medical licenses and fines for each non-report. Possible cover-up of child sexual abuse cannot be tolerated. An immediate suspension of licenses for abortion facilities may be in order pending a complete investigation,” it added.
The press conferences took place outside of the Monroe County Courthouse in Bloomington and Planned Parenthood facilities in Lafayette and Merrillville, in the in the North Atrium of the State Capitol Building, and in the easement across from Whole Woman's Health in South Bend.

IRTL also released an example of those complaints, alleging that Jeffrey Glazer of Women’s Medical Center performed an abortion on a 12-year-old girl and failed to report it. Glazer, recently listed as the medical director for a proposed abortion facility in South Bend that was denied a license application, is the subject of eleven complaints.

All the complaints have been filed with Republican Attorney General Curtis Hill and the state Department of Health, and prosecutors in Marion, Lake, Tippecanoe and Monroe counties have been notified, IRTL added.

“In the era of #MeToo and #TimesUp, we’re demanding answers and action,” IRTL Vice President of Policy Enforcement Cathie Humbarger said. “The 48 complaints represent a widespread problem throughout Indiana’s abortion industry.”
“The average age for a child to be groomed is 11 years old; the average age for a child to be taken into trafficking is 15,” noted Crista Miller, the head of Giving Teens Grace, an Indiana nonprofit dedicated to teaching kids and parents to guard against predators. “We have to step up and protect the children of Indiana with bold and immediate action against any clinic or staff found not reporting underage abortions.”
Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) are claiming innocence in response. “We adhere to Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reporting requirements and follow best public health practices to ensure that patients receive the help they need,” PPINK Communications and Marketing Director Ali Slocum said in a statement. “We cooperate fully with all ISDH inspections and immediately address any issues that officials share with us.”

The effort follows the pro-life group Live Action’s ongoing documentation of Planned Parenthood officials across the United States neglecting to report signs of child sex crimes.

In addition to highlighting documented cases of actual victims and undercover video capturing Planned Parenthood workers’ disinterest in apparent child rape and sex trafficking, Live Action’s “Aiding Abusers” series also features the firsthand accounts of former insiders describing a culture of indifference within the organization.
